When I received the opportunity to work with Peter Pauper Press, the second product I received was a copy of Warm Fuzzies. Warm Fuzzies is a mini book full of pictures of adorable animals with quotes and sayings that are inspirational, warm, and loving and fun. There are even some with attitude! I think it’s adorable and I love the size because It can always be handy when I need a little cheering up or something to brighten my day!

Inside, you will find 80 pages of photographs of all kind of animals from puppies, kittens, birds, penguins and more all with great quotes or sayings. The photographs are really cute because all the animals are posing in different ways and I love all the quotes. They actually fit well with the photographs too so having them match up with the fun loving animals always puts a smile on my face.

One of my favorites is “Happiness constists of living each day as if it were the first day of your honeymoon and the last day of your vacation”. This one has a photo of two birds sitting together. Another one of my favorites is from Vicki Baum and it says “There are shortcuts to happiness, and dancing is one of them”. How does that not make you smile?!

I love that it is a hardcover book with an adorable dust cover. I love the ribbon charm that is attached to it so that you can use it as a bookmark and the little charm on the bottom is really adorable. It is 24K gold plated and you can even take it off and use it on a charm bracelet. The charm that came on mine is an adorable little Scottish Terrier and is really cute! Very adorable book!

Our new Viquarium and Turtles Crush and Squirt!

I have always loved turtles but we have never had any before. We have had fish but never any kind of reptiles. The last time we were at the pet store, I saw Yellow Belly Turtles and I told my hubby I wanted some. We got our tank set up and bought the waterfall kit for the dry area in our Viquarium, got everything set up and went and bought our turtles yesterday!

Since our waterfall kit was a separate purchase, we ended up getting pretty valuable coupons from Petland so when we went back to get the rocks to fill in the dry area, a couple greenery pieces and our turtles, we ended up saving almost $40! The waterfall kit was easy to assemble and you just fill that empty area underneath to create a dry land. The filter and pump is inside the waterfall.

We added the rocks that we found and cleaned them up. We wanted to keep everything as natural as possible and we are going to actually plant live plants in the rocks!

My son fed them yesterday and he told me I should take pictures and put the on facebook. I thought that was pretty funny coming from a 6 year old! The kids are excited and love to see them and watch them especially when they are eating. It might sound a little strange to call a reptile cute but I think they are!

Our kids also named them Crush and Squirt from Finding Nemo (I know, they are pretty original when it comes to names). Now we have a puppy, a cat, and turtles!

The weather changing and Summer starting means that my kids are outside more. We also are outside more as a family. Even though I make our kids come back inside for a break after a short period to get out of the sun for a while, they are constantly running in and out the door for a drink of water. Last Summer, they took their water bottles out and a lot of times they were lost or left out there. I just found out about Swiggies not long ago and was thrilled to receive the opportunity to try them out. We were sent a two pack of child Swiggies and they are really great!

What exactly are Swiggies you ask? They are water bottles that you wear on your wrist! The Wrist Water Bottle! These are super great for kids when they are playing outside and are also great when going to the park or hiking when you would normally carry a water bottle. I don’t know how many times I heard, “Mom, would you carry this?”. Not easy when I have my own water bottle to carry! Swiggies come in a variety of colors and the ones we received were purple.

They come in a pack of two so that way one can be worn on each wrist. They are comfortable to wear even when they are filled up. The child Swiggies hold 8 ounces of water (or sports drink). They slip on the wrist and velcros on the bottom and top of the strap so they are very adjustable. The side of the wrist bottle that sits on the wrist is contoured to fit the wrist so that they are comfortable and prevents them from sliding.

They have a pull top which makes them easy to drink from. I love them because it makes it so easy to not have to break stride in whatever your child (or you) is doing by fiddling with a water bottle. A big plus for me when taking my evening walk! Especially my power walking time! Just like my son while playing on the swingset. He’s got his water right there!

Another use for them is to use them as a cold pack. Just put them in the freezer for a bit or refrigerator (I don’t think you would want them to be freezing cold) put them on your wrist to cool the body down. We think they are great. For our kids, they definitely make carrying water so much easier, always having their water handy, and no worries about breaking stride in what your child is doing!

Like I said, great for adults too. I have used our child Swiggies myself while walking – pretty nifty! Adult Swiggies are a little bigger and hold 11 ounces of water or sports drink. Oh, and one other thing – we have never experienced them leaking at all!

It’s been a while since I posted more of the survey panels I am a member of or are on so I thought I should get some more posted! Like the other ones I have posted so far, I have been on the SurveySavvy Panel for over 3 years now.

It is FREE to join and it doens’t cost you ANYTHING to sign up and you don’t have to pay anything to take any surveys. After you sign up, you can fill out and take profile surveys called “portraits”. These surveys tell more about you so that SurveySavvy knows what kind of surveys to send you.

Surveys are sent via email with the link directly to the survey. You don’t even have to log in to take the survey although you can always log in to your SurveySavvy panel and take any available surveys offered to you from there. I have received surveys from $1 up to $10 and there were a couple times I received one that was more. On average a survey is usually $1 to $3 depending on the length.

I have also been invited to join online discussion groups and suck for a pretty large payment. You will go through qualifying questions for each survey. I received 3-4 surveys a week and I usually qualify for a couple of them each time. You just have to make sure you at least do a couple every month to keep your account active. You do not have to take every single one that is sent to you.

With SurveySavvy, you can request a check payment and you can request a check as long as you have at least $1 in your account. This is one survey site that doesn’t require you to have a certain minimun amount like most others are around $10 to $25.

There have also been times I have been invited to do product tests! Cash takes a little while to add up if you save it for a while. I usually cash out once a year to help with Holiday shopping and I’m usually cashing out close to $100 at the end of the year, sometimes more. It’s not a lot but it is a nice chunk of change especially when I combine that with all the other survey site payments receive at the same time!

Peter Pauper Press has a lot of great books such as organizers, journals, calendars and even all kinds of stationery products! They also have great gifts for kids too and they also carry E-reader and Tablet covers! Their stationery looks so beautiful! I was thrilled to receive an opportunity to work with them and I will be posting a review of 5 of their products which I am really excited to share with you!

I LOVE making cupcakes and was really excited to have received The Sweet Little Book of Cupcakes! The book is hardcover but the inside holds a spiral which makes it really easy for the book to stay open on the page you are looking at. This is a really good thing especially when trying to follow the yummy and easy recipes found inside!

There are over 45 different recipes that are really easy to make. Including the icing! I didn’t even know there were so many different ways to make cupcakes. The Karat Cupcakes recipe is yummy by the way. If you love carrot cake, you will love this recipe! How about some Lemon Raspberry or some Pina Colada cupcakes? I can’t wait to get baking this summer for the 4th of July and make Strawberry Shortcake and the Red, White, and You cupcakes! How about some fall favorites such as Pumpkin? Yummy! Another one that I am looking forward to making are Caramel Apple cupcakes! The decorating tips are also really cute and for those ones, you even add a popsicle stick on the top through the icing and cupcake!

Another thing I have never tried before was turning pancakes into cupcakes. Lots of ideas! This book doesn’t even leave out your furry family members either. There is a recipe for mini Pupcakes for man’s best friend!

Not only can you find tons of amazing recipes in this book, but there is also a section of decorating ideas. The image above shows a great tip for bridal or even baby shower cakes! I love making cupcakes for the holidays and there is a great cake decorating for Christmas. It shows you and gives you the directions on how to turn your cupcakes into Christmas Trees!

How about some Halloween goodies?! Aren’t they cute? I love it because these decorating tips and ideas are so simple but yet, you can make your cupcakes look gorgeous. I love the icing recipe section because I usually just use your typical icing but I love being able to have actual icing flavors to go with the flavor of the cake. There is also a section of recipes for filling and preserves to add to the inside of your cupcakes for a little surprise. The Sweet Little Book of Cupcakes will show you how!

I love the elastic wrap around band because I can put loose recipes inside my book and can make sure that they don’t fall out. Also, it works great to keep your place in the book! I love it, lots of recipes and decorating ideas to make all kinds of cupcakes. The book is also the perfect size to stash safely inside a recipe box!
