On King’s Day Amsterdam puts on the world’s largest street party. Previously known as Queen’s Day.

While the tradition started way back in 1891, April 27, 2026 will mark the 13th edition of King’s Day in honor of King Willem-Alexander.

It’s actually a nationwide party, but Amsterdam definitely is the place to be.

Keukenhof is one of the world’s largest ands most famous flower gardens. It is the largest showcase platform for the Dutch flower industry. The park’s 7 million flower bulbs are supplied by 100 local flower bulb growers and exporters.

Open just 8 weeks a year. In 2026 the park celebrates its 77th anniversary. Keukenhof is open from March 19, 2026 through May 10, 2026.

Once a year, on the third Saturday in January, Amsterdam’s largest square – Museumplein – transforms into a giant field of tulips.
