I was looking at the pictures of the time I lived in Australia and realised how much I miss the sun. Don’t get me wrong; I love all four season. I think every season has it’s charm, but one thing I do miss is the sun shining almost continuously . The world just looks so much happier when the sun is out.

When I saw the pictures of us swimming at the lagoon in Cairns I just closed my eyes and imagined how I was floating in the water with the sun warming up my skin. So relaxing…

That’s when I decided to use these pictures for the March Font Challenge. And.. I have actually never scrapped those pictures of my time in Australia. So it’s about time.

Ofcourse I already have posted my lay out in the gallery. On the photo you can see a photo of my hubby and me when we were on a long bus trip and started taking pictures to pass the time.

I used the kit Cutie Pie by Captivated Visions.

I took four pictures of my mum. The shots were taken in November 2008 when we were out for the day at the Australia Zoo.

I used Kisses from heaven kit by Armina Designs. I really like the end result, but am wondering if maybe it would have been nicer if I had framed the pictures. Anyhow, the picture on the left shows my entry to the challenge.

I picked the quote “The champion makes his own luck” by Red Blaik. And this is the lay out I made with the set requirements.

I have to say that so far there have been some really awesome brag book pages uploaded and I can not wait to see what the rest of the Brag Book Exchange participants have created.

I have already send in the page that I have created, but haven’t been able to upload it to the gallery yet as they’re having some technical difficulties. As soon as it’s sorted out I will post the preview of it on this blog.

My new challenge starting today is the Weight Loss Challenge. I am so fed up with the 23.6 extra kilo’s I am carrying around that I’ve decided to REALLY do something about it. I have wanted to lose weight for a while now, but I guess I finally come to the point that it is really serious. By doing the same thing I have done so far it’s not going to happen, something needs to change.

So what’s changing?

• Signed up with valtaf.nl to keep a eating and sports diary on a daily basis
• Signed up with their special care subscription for a year so I will get daily meal plans from a dietitian
• I will try to exercise on a daily basis (not sure if I can as I am still suffering from the pfeiffer disease)
• I will believe in myself and truly believe that I can make my goalweight

To make a long story short; I will eat more healthy and exercise more!

Current Stats

Starting Weight: 83.6 kg
Goal Weight: 60 kg
Time to do it in: 18 months

I used the Simply Sketchy template by Laura. Yes, it’s the template used for the Februari challenge. I think it’s great to experiment with, so that’s why I used it again. I like the different looks when you use different kits.

Again a photo used of my nephew. I love scrapping pictures of him, so I am sure you will see a lot more lay outs with him in it.
