So I have a PC that I built like 3 years ago. I think it only has 2gigs of RAM, a low end video card (GeForce 8800 I believe), and a 250gig hard drive. I also have 2 DVD-RW's (which is pointless) and Windows XP Pro.

I just got a new 20 inch HD monitor that was actually bigger than my old one  so I have been using this PC alot. I was thinking of getting Windows 7, but before dropping close to $200 on it, I figured why not upgrade all the way?

Now my main question is, should I just buy a new mobo, video card, RAM, and maybe a blu-ray drive? Or should I buy a new PC from Dell, HP, etc?

I'm looking to spend under say $600 if possible. I don't need a top of the line video card, my old hard drive is fine (250gigs is overkill as it is), and I am thinking maybe 4-6 gis of RAM is fine.

I sometimes play WoW on this PC, but no hardcore graphic intense games or anything. The Sims 3 was probably the most demanding and that ran fine.

I saw this tonight and was very entertained. As you might expect from a feel good stroy, there were definite tear jerker or sentimental moments that felt a bit forced or manufactured. However overall I felt the movie was a success and worth the price of admission. I give it a B. Sandra Bullocks performance was excellent. Of course I'm in love with her anyway.

They have been one of my favorite bands for a long time but seem to be overshadowed by their famous members and of course Led Zeppelin which has little to do with them anyway besides Page, the yardbirds name they dropped, and a couple of songs like dazed and confused and knowing I'm losing you (which became Tangerine)

Speaking of Knowing I'm Losing You it wasn't really out there until a few years ago. I had a few people tell me I was crazy it even existed.

Hi everyone,

I´ve just arrived in the US (I´m from Germany) and I´m planning to buy a new hd tv-set and a new dvd player (maybe blu-ray).
And here is where my problem starts.
Right now I´m owning a multi-norm crt tv and a dvd player (no HDMI output), which has been set up to be code free. I do also own about 380 dvds about half of which were bought during my last 3 year stint in the US. The rest was bought back home in Germany.
With this setup (TV-Set & DVD-Player) I can watch all my dvds regardless of regional code and TV-Norm (NTSC= USA; PAL= Germany). How can I translate this into the new technologie ( LCD/Plasma HD TV - (Blu-Ray) DVD).
Do I have to get a multinorm HD TV-Set (expensive) or are there workarounds?
My intention is to take the TV-Set and the dvd-player back to Germany.
Input voltage isn´t an issue, because I also own voltage transformers which worked well in the past.
