DwarakaTirumala is a most famous ancient holy place which was familiar from Tretayuga onwards. During Tretayuga Emperor Aja Maharaj grand father of lord Sreerama worshipped this presiding deity.

There is staunch belief among the devotees that their desires are fulfilled by worshipping this deity. This place is popularly known from centuries as Chinnatirupathi.

Brief description of Vimanagopuram. The sanctity of its towering roof (The central deity’s shrine) is also called the Vimanam. Generally we cannot praise so significance as the outer Gopurams where the Gopuram of the main shrine occupies vital role in the temple’s history as well as identity or significance.

Sastras state that- “ If the devotees who cannot get Darshan of the deity due to unexpected circumstances, they could have the same result through vimanam from far away.”

Considering the above sanctity and in view of such a great auspicious history of Chinna Tirupathi Devasthanam, it is proposed to provide gold plating to the Vimanagopuram, collecting donations from devotees. Devotees can donate minimum amount of Rs. 1116/- or above in the below various ways.

This is to bring to the kind notice that All- India Milk yield competitions will be conducted at Sri Venkateswara Swamivari Devastanam, Dwaraka Tirumala, West Godavari district, From 28-04-2012 to 01-05-2012 for all the indigenous Cattle breeds viz… punganur, Sahiwal, Tharparkar, Red Sindhi, Gir,Kankrej, Rath, Haryana, Hissar, Malvi, Deoni in general and in particular the Ongole, the pride of Andhra Pradesh in which more than 1008 cows are expected to participate. Velchur the smallest breed of the world will be a special attraction in the show.

This milk Yield Competition is of unique nature, as never heard nor seen ever before with the participation of 1008 cows in the annals of history.

The cattle breeders from allover the country are expected to participate in this Milk Yield Competitions, and lacks of visitors and devotees are expected to attend.

The most significant feature is that, the milk so obtained from more than 1008 cows will specially be offered for”ABHISHEKA SEVA” in thousands of temples by lakhs of devotees.

Besides this,The Go-Pooja will be performed on 01-05-2012, where in all the 1008 cows will be made available for those devotees, Who perform Go-Pooja, and such occasions are the rarest opportunities one can come cross in life span.

Apart from the above, the” GIRI-PRADAKSHINA” by more than one thousand cows with large groups of bhajan mandals and devotees chanting the Nama Sankeerthana, will be performed.

During these days of un-rest among farming community, enforcing distress disposal of cows, this programme is aimed to encourage and retain the most reliable, dependable, and eco-friendly native breeds with ethical, moral and modern scientific approach.

History of the Temple

Dwaraka Tirumala Devasthanam is situated on the top of the Seshachala Hill. It is Swayambhu. The feet of Lord Venkateswara are in Valmikam(Ant-hill). During Tretayuga Emperor Aja, Grand Father of Lord Shri Rama worshipped this Presiding deity.

Sage Dwaraka picked up and unearthed the Lord from Valmikam(Ant-hill) and worshipped the deity, as such it is named as Dwaraka Tirumala. Since the feet of Swayambhu are in Valimikam, about 400 years back another idol brought from Tirupathi and installed on the back of Swayambhu and Pratista was done as per ‘Vaikhanasa’ Agama. This Devasthanam is an unique feature that two idols are located in same ‘sanctum sanctorum’. Two annual Brahmotsvams are being performed, one in Vaisakhamasam (May) for Swayambhu and another in Aswayuja Masa(October) to the installed deity.

Moreover Sage Dwaraka doing penance seen North, the Lord appeared before him towards South direction as such the temple is located facing South.

There is staunch belief among the devotees that their desires are fulfilled by worshiping this deity. This place is popularly known from centuries as Chinna Tirupati(Small Tirupati).

Sri Konda Malleswara Swamy Temple

The temple of Sri Konda Malleswara Swamy is at a distance of 1 Km to the North-West of the main temple. The footpath leading to this Saivait temple is in a Sepant form and reminds the Serpant for the mountain.

Sri Renuka Devi (Kunkullamma) Temple

This temple is on the main road leading to the village, at a distance of half a mile towards south. This god is Gramadevatha. All pilgrims compulsorily halt at this temple and offer special offerings in the absence of which they anticipate danger.

Gosamrakshana Padhakam

Ø Gopujas are being perfomed everyday in Sri Gokulam from 6.30 a.m. to 12.00 Noon.

Ø This Devasthanam is maintaining a Gosala with 212 cows, calves in Six Sheds. Yielding 150 Litters of Milk per day

Ø Green fodder development is rising by the Devasthanam in land measuring Ac. 30.00 Cts for Cow feeding.

It is also seen from the inscription appearing on the Mukha Mandapam that the said Mukha Mandapam has been constructed during the year 1313 by one Ch. Janayya, a staunch devotee of swamy varu during the tenure of Sri Raja Lakshman Rayunam garu of Mylavaram Zamindars dynasty fr the purpose of performing Swamy vari Kalyana Mahotsavams. It is a surprising reality to observe the sunrise touch the Idole feet of the deity.

Sri Mekha Dharma Appa Rao one of the Zamindar of Nuzvid Estate issaid to have establish to a branch estate in Eluru town some 250 years ago. It is also stated that sri Chennakesava Swam varu appeared in the dream of the said Zamindar and informed that the deity Chenna Kesava Swamy is availble in the well near by and also directed to construct a temple. Accordingly Sri Raja Mekha Dharma Apparao has got dig out the ideal of deity constructed a temple and installed under Vykhanasa Agama Sampradayam.

Sri Laxmi Narasimha Swamy Vari Temple, I.S.Jagannadhapuram.

Sri Laxmi Narasimha Swamy is a Swayambhu and perform ritual in the evening by Yaksha, Kinnera and Gandharva, this is called Devatarchana. Devotees belived, this temple secured by Adi Seshavataram and always a snake is protected and prays the idol. Every year during February or March (in the telugu month Magha Masam) Swamy vari Kalyna Mahotsavams are performed. This is the major festival in around villages.

KALYANA KATTA (KESAKANDANA SALA)

A spacious Kalyana Katta or place for offering hair is to the west of the Main temple

The place where pilgrims fulfill their vow of tonsure is called Kalyana Katta. Over 95 barbers, operating in two batches, are available at KalyanaKatta, to perform tonsure.
To reduce the waiting time for tonsure during the peak season, over 10 additional barbers are engaged.
The building is equipped with big tonsure halls and a side balcony tonsure halls with platforms to seat both the pilgrim and the barber. There are four waiting compartments and a well-organised queue system.
Antiseptics are mixed with water and applied to the head before tonsuring to prevent skin-related and other diseases.
Bathrooms, with geysers for hot water, are provided for the pilgrims who have their heads tonsured in the cottages.
A computerised system is in place to issue tokens for tonsure

Sri Chennakesava Swamy & Ramalingesara Swamy temple situated at Sanivarapupeta Village is an adopted temple to Sri VenkateswaraSwamy Temple, Dwaraka Tirumala, since 2005.

Five Storied Rajagopuram constructed with dressed sand stone upto ground floor and over the gopurams constructed with brick masonry with five stairs. This gopuram is at a height of 77 feet located abutting Duggirala – Nuzivedu Road.
