I was sent to a webpage about the benefits of water over one of the most popular fizzy pop drinks Coke.

Here’s the article from Natural Health Nutrition website.

Are you drinking the amount of water you should every day?

We all know that water is important but I’ve never seen it written down like this before. Read every word and think about it.

WATER

75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated. (Likely applies to half world population)

In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often mistaken for hunger.

Even MILD dehydration will slow down one’s metabolism as much as 3%.

One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a U-Washington study.

Lack of water, the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.

Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.

A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a printed page.

Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50% less likely to develop bladder cancer.

COKE

In many states (in the USA) the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the truck to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.

You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of coke and it will be gone in two days.

To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and let the “real thing” sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.

To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.

To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.

To loosen a rusted bolt: Applying a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.

To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into the baking pan, wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake. Thirty minutes before the ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the Coke for a sumptuous brown gravy.

To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of coke into a load of greasy> clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains.

It will also clean road haze from your windshield.

The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. Its pH is 2.8. It will dissolve a nail in about 4 days. Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase in osteoporosis.

To carry Coca-Cola syrup (the concentrate) the commercial truck must use the Hazardous material placards reserved for Highly corrosive materials.

The distributors of coke have been using it to clean the engines of their trucks for about 20 years.

Now the question is, would you like a glass of water or coke?

To all you Inspiring People!

I very rarely read newspapers, try to avoid the view of the world from the media however today I was waiting to a client and there was a copy of THE TIMES in the coffee table so I glanced through…….

I found this article ………… a SCHOOL in Kent is having lessons in Meditation, focusing on improving attention and concentration. I have attached the full article taken from THE TIMES! Certainly a step in the right direction for our Young People and certainly made me smile so I am delighted to share it with you!

I was looking through the websites of all the experts I’ve interviewed for my expert interview series YES Interviews (Wow said interviews alot there, lol).

And on Rob Brown’s website I found this and had to share it.

—

Just came across this great comedy clip via top networker Will Kintish which illustrates beautifully how some people get it all wrong when they’re networking.
The good news is, you reap what you sow! Have a look at this 2 min clip and you’ll see what I mean!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGCMtk695Cg

Three quick tips to help you avoid messing up the complex brain surgery that is networking!

Make ‘what do you do?’ your second or third question rather than your opening. It pigeon-holes or categorizes people too quickly and can close down rather than open opportunities. It’s better to ask some general small talk questions before requesting their elevator pitch.

Remember it’s not what they do, it’s who they know. Just because someone isn’t your target market, doesn’t mean they don’t know your target market. By exploring what other events they go to, where their network is strong, what kind of clients they deal with and who they have around them, you begin to see them as a door that’s opening rather than one that is closing.

Use job titles only if you want to soothe your ego. People are actually more interested in what you do than who you are. It might sound grand being a consultant, lawyer or accountant, but it’s the difference you make that counts.

Good networking is not rocket science, but it does take a little thought! If you could use some help with doubling your revenue through better networking and referral marketing, leave a comment!

And this is where I network with great people. www.iBusinessMastermind.com

Regards,
Dwayne

Jim Rohn once said something about borrowing quotes as you could stay up all night trying to think of a good one.

So I’d like to share a message from a friend Vishal about Jim passing.

—

I’m sure that by now most if not all of you have heard the news of Jim Rohn leaving the physical world. All of us in the world of self development someway owe a lot to this amazing soul. He has taught us and/or our teachers the fundamental lessons that aid us and guide us into greatness.

I remember the first time I heard Jim Rohn speak, I was laughing so hard, he had knowledge, wit, purpose, he had it all. And over the years I would always check back in with him and again on Friday while I was working I had Jim on in the background and I just loved his work and his humour!

The news of his passing was a shock to me and I don’t really know what to say or feel right now. All I know is that I am thankful for his work, his time, and his soul. He has helped in making the world a better place. Truly one of gods angels.

Jim had many amazing quotes that I have e-mailed you all over time so today I would like to leave you with this one:

“Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present” – Jim Rohn

We love you Jim and thank you for everything you have contributed and your work will continue to touch lives for years to come.

—

RIP Jim
