This pause unreal

The humble football superstar
Works hard so much
He learns his plays
No excuse his crutch

Strong effort so common
He tries his best
Nothing to stop him ever
Never depressed!

Yet big games arrive
And he rides the pine
Benched for no reason
Against all’s opine

Soon, he will leave
Pick a grateful team
One who appreciates
And helps reach his dream

There’s this place I love to go
And share a great time and show
It’s an experience unlike so many
And recommend to friend and foe

But unlucky it seems for me
Incomplete on each trip
But, I recommend it greatly
One I’d hate to skip

Yet, is it really worth it?
The time and great price I pay?
I’m questioning a bit
That’s all I currently can say

But, this place is so cool
A dream waiting to come real
So I cross my fingers
Yet patience thin I feel

Quiet as a mouse
The house is dark
Striking every match
Praying for a spark

Dust in many corners
Repairs yet to do
Willing to give great effort
Awaiting instruction cue

Confidence in this house
Knowing she’s rare jewel
No matter repairs needed
Will use my every tool

No worries of project size
Or challenges ahead
Worthy is this house
House is far from dead

Dinner is now ready
And the food is hot
Better get to the table
Before you lose eating shot

The meal so delicious
Obvious at first bite
Savor the taste right now
Accept eating invite

Hurry before you lose
Option to pick favorite food
Time to eat is now
Don’t allow to be exclude

If you delay or wait forever
Dinner will cold grow
Fewer choices then ensue
Not tasty, just so-so

Lost so much
On my own accord
Need to keep focus
More losses can ill-afford

Batting day
And battling night
Not everything though
Is worth the fight

Struggling some
And bleeding much
Knowing worthy wars
And all the such

Will tackle them one
And tackle them all
Will climb each mountain
No matter risk fall

So much data
On Wall Street today
Much of it conflicting
Data accuracy – investors pray

Fluctuating each second
With major time crunch
The investors must decide
Often just on a hunch

But, the hunch isn’t blind
Normally smart and so strong
These investors are no dummies
But been known to be wrong

So, make your educated hunch
And stick by your choice
Give it your all
Then celebrate and rejoice!

Time for the sunset
and it feels so near
Taking in this moment
with a smile and tear

Never seen such a sunset
so beautiful in the sky
Absorbing this great moment
and the warmth it imply

Yet, while the sun feels like
just a short distance away
Running to capture the sun
sometimes results in dismay

Still, the sun is alive
and truly within reach
The warming quest continues
from this beautiful beach

This mountain has many trails
They lead in various direction
Yet only one at a time
Can be each own’s selection

Each pathway certainly has
Its own cons and pros
Yet nobody but yourself
Can determine which one you goes

Pick the path you wish
And truly pick it good
Know each path’s op costs
And by your choice firmly stood

For if you make the wrong gamble
You’ll wonder why you lost
Look back with slight regret
You never understood the opportunity cost

Days of darkness so recent
Have filled this open sky
This bright sun now appearing
Hopeful it won’t say goodbye

Too many days without light
Hence so tough to see
When the great storm passes
Hope not blind to the beauty

Past storms chilled so much
Could have ruined even more
But the new brightness so powerful
A new day and open door

A new battle emerges
But the complete darkness now gone
A brand new day and era
