For most of us, our pets are an important part of our family. We want our 4 legged friend to be happy with our new apartment also. But sometimes pet owners run into roadblocks when finding an apartment, just because of any of the following possible situations:

* You have more than 2 pets, and most apartments will only allow 2
* You have a LARGE pet, such as a dog over 50 pounds, and most apartments have weight restrictions
* You are looking for an apartment that has an off-leash dog park and are they are not easy to find.
* The pet deposits are too expensive, and now some apartments are even charging monthly “pet rent” in addition to the deposit.
* You want an apartment complex that has nearby walking trails or is located next to a park so you have a convenient place to walk your dog, but you don’t even know where to start looking.
* Your dog is a certain breed that most apartments will not allow because their policy excludes this type of breed as a “restricted breed”. For instance, some of these restricted breeds include: Pit Bulls, Chows, Rottweilers, Doberman Pinchers, German Shepherds, etc.

Since Dallas has over 3000 different apartment communities, it would take a person forever to call each community one at a time to ask if they can work with your particular situation. You will also be discouraged because if you have any of the above unique circumstances, most apartments will turn you away. Whatever you do, don’t consider even for a moment the possibility of getting rid of your 4 legged family member! He or she has come to trust and depend on you to take care of them, through good times and bad. But what possible options do you have? You can call me! Since I have lived in the Dallas area my entire life and have been doing Apartment Locating for almost 10 years now, I am familiar with all of the properties and can help to guide you towards the ones that are more flexible and pet friendly. I am a big animal lover and have dogs and cats myself.

There are properties in Dallas that will take more than 2 pets. There are properties that have NO weight limits on pets, so even if your dog weighs well over 100 pounds it is okay. There are more and more properties that are seeing the value of building an on-site dog park where you can let your dog off leash to run and play each and every day if you like. There are some apartments that are more affordable than others when it comes to pet deposits. I can tell you exactly how much each apartment charges before you even go to visit the property or consider them as an option. I also can tell you which apartments have walking trails or a park nearby. I even know which properties are more flexible than others when it comes to certain restricted breeds. There are even 1 or 2 apartments in Dallas that will take your Pit Bull.

It’s true that if you have a particularly difficult situation, your options are going to be more limited. You cannot just go to any apartment property. You will have to choose from among the ones that will work with your situation. Does this mean you have to live in the ghetto? Absolutely not! Some of the best Dallas apartments will work with your situation. But you may have to be willing to drive just a little bit further back and forth to work, or you may have to be flexible on some of those amenities or features you were hoping to get. But at least you and your furry friend will be together happy still, and you wont have the pain of conscience from knowing that you put your little loving friend out of your family.

Let me get started right away helping you and your pet find the best apartment in Dallas.

Searching for the best apartment in Dallas that matches you and your lifestyle can be time consuming and very frustrating. You may even think that you found a good apartment just to find out too late that there was a better one, at a better price, just around the corner. But with over 3000 different apartment properties in Dallas, finding the one that meets your requirements for space, view, rent amount, neighborhood, security and location can be like looking for a needle in a haystack unless you have outside assistance from someone who is an expert on Dallas apartments. You need an experienced Dallas Apartment Locator on your side. But even before you call your Apartment Locator, there are some steps you can take to make the search go more smoothly. After all, the Locator is going to have to ask you some questions to determine what apartments are the best fit for you. Here are some suggestions to follow so that when you call your Apartment Locator, you will have a better idea of what you need:

1. First, establish what your budget is and what amount in rent you need to stay under. In order to qualify for a Dallas apartment, your monthly income must be at least three times whatever your monthly rent will be. So, if your rent is $800, for example, then you must be able to show proof to the apartments that you have an income of $2400 a month or more. This proof can be in the form of paycheck stubs. If you are relocating to Dallas because of a job transfer or you will be starting a brand new job, then all the Dallas apartments usually require for verification is just a “Hire Letter” from the new company, stating when you will begin employment and the amount of income you will be receiving. The letter should be on a company letterhead and signed by the HR department, owner of company, or upper management. Most apartments will verify the proof of income that you provide.

2. Secondly, it would be good to define what special needs or requirements you may want or need in your new apartment. For example, do you have pets? Do you prefer covered parking, an attached private garage, parking garage, or covered parking? Do you want certain amenities such as a fitness center, or a dog park, or access gates? Do you want a certain floor (first, second, etc) or a certain view? Do you need a bedroom large enough for a king size bed? A bathroom with a jacuzzi garage? Do you want a 2 story town home apartment so that there are no neighbors above or below you? Or do you prefer an upscale high rise? Classify which features are definite musts for your new apartment, and which features would just be nice to have, but aren’t deal breakers.

3. Last of all, decide which areas of Dallas you want to live in. You might want to consider such factors as: how close you want to be from your job (how many miles or how many minutes away), how close you want to be from other family members, schools or colleges, nightlife, or any other particular locations of importance, is there a particular school district that you want to be located within, etc. You can give your Apartment Locator zip codes, or city names such as: Plano, Carrollton, Lewisville, Irving, Downtown Dallas, Far North Dallas, Frisco, etc. Or you can give your Locator the address of the location you want to stay located nearby. If you are new to Dallas and unfamiliar with the city, then your Locator can make some recommendations to help guide you.

Once you have narrowed down the price range you need, the special features and amenities you want, and the area you are looking for, then all that is left to find the best apartment in Dallas is to contact me! I will take it from there and put together a custom list of all the best apartments Dallas has to offer, based on your particular requirements. I will email you the resulting list, along with pictures, floor plans, maps, and all the apartment details and inside information on the most highly recommended properties. Don’t take a chance in missing out on the best apartments Dallas has to offer, and perhaps choosing one that you will later regret. Let the Dallas experts help you find the best apartment.

As with anything, it’s important to weigh the pros and cons of renting an apartment before doing so. There are numerous benefits to renting an apartment, but there are also some downfalls. If you’re trying to decide the best course of action, consider the following pros and cons. If in the end you do choose to go with an apartment finder site make sure to look through our reviews to find the best one for your needs.

Pros: One of the best benefits of renting an apartment is that they’re generally less expensive than renting a house. Many times, some of the utilities will be paid by the managers or owners when you rent an apartment, saving even more money. There are also other things that are typically taken care of with an apartment that you’ll have to do on your own with a house. A few of them are lawn care, maintenance and paying for utilities. If something breaks in your apartment, you simply dial the maintenance man’s number and have him come and take a look. Many times, when you’re renting a house, you’re responsible for small maintenance issues and possibly even some larger ones (depending on your landlord).

Many apartment complexes have amenities that you will not have if you rent a house, such as a pool, tennis court, laundry services and even community gems. Most of these items are available to you at no extra charge. In some cases, utilities will be included in the monthly rental cost when you rent an apartment. Generally, rental apartments also provide appliances like refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers and even washers and dryers. However, rental homes may require you to supply your own, which can be expensive if you don’t already own these items.

Cons: While there are many advantages to renting an apartment, there are also some downfalls. With an apartment, you generally don’t have the privacy that you do with a single-family home. It’s easy to hear noises from apartments beside you, upstairs, or downstairs. You generally have a limited number of parking spaces, so parties and get-togethers are more difficult. You won’t get your own yard, although you may get a shared space where you can place things like barbecue grills, patio furniture, etc. Another disadvantage of renting an apartment is felt most by those with pets. Apartments typically charge non-refundable pet deposits and there is less room for larger animals to exercise outdoors. This may mean you’ll have to take Fido to the local dog park or walking track. Being so close to other residents limits the things you can do. For instance, in a rented house it’s possible to practice your guitar or have louder parties whereas if you do these things in an apartment, your neighbors may complain about the noise. Speaking of neighbors, it’s easy to get ones that don’t mesh well with you when you live in an apartment complex. Sure, this can happen to you in a rental house as well, but in apartments it’s more difficult to steer clear of them.

As you can see, there are disadvantages and advantages to renting an apartment. It’s important to analyze these and determine what you need most from your home before deciding what to do.

I have been involved with locator agencies for the past several years. I know what clients need when looking for an apartment, and most importantly what challenges and frustrations they face when working with these agencies.

Most locators will show you a picture of a property but hide critical pieces of apartment information, such as: name, location, phone, floorplans until you speak to an agent. This routine frustration led me to create a better experience, simply named Dwell Texas.

We give you the apartment information Free! No gimmicks. Check out this video tutorial highlighting our unrestricted apartment search website.

We hope you will be so impressed by our professional staff and 100% unrestricted apartment website that you will gladly refer our service to your friends and family.

We even created a program, Refer-A-Renter, Be $50 Richer for you to earn $50 for every referred friend and family member just by pasting your unique referral link on email, Facebook, or Twitter.

All the best,

Refer through Facebook, Twitter, and other social media

The Refer-A-Renter, be $50 Richer program was developed to reward those who refer our free apartment location service through social media channels; like Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, Email etc. This is our way to say “Thank You” as you help us become the most valued locator in the Metroplex.

Anyone who successfully registers for a Dwell VIP membership is automatically enrolled in our program. However, anyone who registers through the Affiliate form is also enrolled in the program.

In short, every time you refer ANYONE who successfully uses our free locating service, lists us on the rental application, you will receive a $50 check or Paypal deposit.

Unlike other apartment locators who pay a one-time rebate, Dwell Texas will pay the $50 rebate for each referred client. So, 10 referrals would generate $500.
