Hey all!  Hope you’ve missed us and are all raring to go as season 14′s cast announcement looms..

TMZ has reported that Melissa Gilbert, Sherri Shepherd, and Jack Wagner are all “locks” for season 14…which means that one of those is likely correct and the other two complete garbage. TMZ has a terrible track record for accuracy of ANY KIND, sleaze-peddling site that they are, and they’ve gotten a few right here and there over the past few seasons, but we’ll see.

In the meantime, here’s what’s shakin’ for Mirrorball Mayhem’s Season SIX!

We will have the new cast list posted shortly after it’s announcement on GMA this coming Tuesday morning, Feburary 28th. Although I’m glad the announcement is going back where it belongs (and shows that the producers ARE listening to the fans in this regard), it does mean I won’t be able to live tweet the list, as I’ll be at work.

Our Season 14 Preview show will debut on Tuesday, March 6th.  Why so late? Well, now…in addition to giving us more time to prepare the show, we are also hoping to have a very special guest for our preview show…more details on that as they become available…our people will be talking to their people in the next couple days…heh heh heh…cross your fingers and keep chanting “special guest” over and over again…and maybe the stars will align and we can pull this off…

We are planning once again on the Mirrorball Minions speaking out – we’ll be asking you to hit the site and vote for the best dance of the night and  “Judge The Judges” again. So you will want to get into the habit of heading over to http://mirrorballmayhem.com (that’s US you know) every Monday evening right after the show!

If you haven’t seen the news as yet, PNR Networks is one of the services that have been hit by what I’ve taken to calling the “MEVIO Massacre”. Although at last check most podcasts were up and online again, we have decided not to take chances with this in the future.

This weekend, I  will begin to implement plans to move all files currently on Mevio – the podcasts themselves – to a new independent service platform. This move will affect all current PNR Networks podcasts –  Subject:CINEMA, Subject:CINEMA MICRO Focus, Mirrorball Mayhem, Platinum Roses’ Garden, and Cavebabble - as well as older shows archived on Mevio.

At the time this migration takes place, the podcast feeds WILL CHANGE. If you subscribe through any site other than this one, you will want to check your feed because it may no longer work. This especially affects anyone listening directly on Mevio or subscribing through our Mevio feed, which is the feed that has been made available on iTunes and other sites as well. It will take the better part of a week for me to find and catch up all the outlying feeds, so the easiest thing to do is this:

If you subscribe to our shows, you WILL need to unsubscribe and resubscribe to the new feeds once they are available.

Any PNR fan who may have some technical know-how who wants to make themselves available with advice and counsel during the next two weeks would be greatly appreciated – drop me a line at webmaster@popcornnroses.com and we’ll chat.

We will make a formal announcement at some point when the migration has completed so if you haven’t subscribed to the general RSS feed, now is the time to do it, because paraphrasing Emergency Broadcasting tests, “The attention signal sent our way by Mevio and contingency plans now being implemented by thousands of PISSED OFF podcasters will be followed by official PNR information, news, and instructions.”

Week ten of Season 13 was divided amongst four dances over two nights – in round one, finalists JR Martinez, Rob Kardasian, and Ricki Lake performed a dance they hadn’t yet done in competition, and then the all important Freestyle dance. Those were the last two that the fans could vote on. On Tuesday, round two consisted of each couple’s favorite dances, and then the final two danced an Instant Samba. Tonight’s semi-finals were all over the road, weren’t they? I felt the judges were overly harsh in some places (Carrie Ann, will you PLEASE stop being so darn serious? Honestly….) and overly praising in others (Len outdid himself in the overpraising this week).
