I am so excited to announce that Dyan Witt Photography is now a certified member with NAPCP.  The National Association of Professional Child Photographers is an association whose mission is to promote and support the artistry and integrity of professional child photographers.

NAPCP.com (formally pronounced “NAP-C-P”) is a place where professional child photographers can come and connect, learn, teach, aspire and grow. It is also a valuable resource for parents who are looking for a professional child photographer in their area, and want to be inspired and educated about our specialized industry.  NAPCP only grants membership to photographers who are dedicated to exhibiting quality images of children on a consistent basis. NAPCP members are expected to reflect exceptional skills in photography, originality and creativity, while promoting the honesty and spirit of the children they capture. NAPCP members should uphold the highest ethics and integrity within their business practices.

In order to become a member of NAPCP, I had to submit an application and have my online portfolio reviewed by the top photographers in the industry. I was thrilled when I received an email with my acceptance letter!

What does this mean for my clients?  It means that when you select me as your portrait photographer, you will receive excellent customer service, high-quality products and exceptional portraits that you will treasure for generations to come.

This workshop was designed to teach attendees how to become more confident in their photography. The workshop will be a stress free setting filled with fabulous ladies who want the same thing as you – to fall in love with their snap shots.

My goal is for every attendee to leave the workshop confident and able to properly use their camera. You will learn to understand your camera, equipment and when to change your settings to achieve a variety of effects. It’s time to get off AUTO mode girl! You will learn how to produce the blurry background in your images that the professional photographers always seem to have. You will learn to properly use the light to catch the sparkle in your child’s eyes. You will learn how to capture the light WITHOUT flash! I will teach you how to properly and safely store and preserve your family memories. And most importantly, I will teach you to pose like a super model so it will appear that you have dropped 10 pounds or more when photographed!

The workshop is a four hour class that will include lunch, beverages, a notebook filled with cheat sheets and swag bags filled with amazing gifts and discounts. I ALWAYS make sure I photograph the mom and dad by themselves during a full family session. Sometimes this is the only professional image they have of each other besides their wedding day. And can you believe how gorgeous the mom is?

So this is why custom photography is AWESOME!  I had all three boys together but NEVER were they ALL focusing on me and smiling. So a little cut and paste in Photoshop and now their Mom has a gorgeous image for her wall.

The little girl LOVED when I would sing “Jingle Bells” and shake my booty.  Hey, anything to get them to smile!

In EVERY full family session, I always capture the mom and dad together. Sometimes, this is the only professional image they have of each other besides images from their wedding day.

Father and son have a special hand shake and I captured it. “Priceless image” says Mr. Moniz.

Who is eligible?

1) Mommies must live within the Hampton Roads area which includes the cities of Norfolk, Chesapeake and Virginia Beach.

2) Must be expecting or have children ages 0-10.

3) Must be social and active in your community. (church, preschool, grade school, playgroups, work, etc.)

4) Must agree to work with Dyan Witt Photography exclusively during the duration of the program  which is one year.

5) Must have a love of custom photography and my work.

What are the benefits of the program?

Each Mommy Rep will receive a free portrait session to get the program started. You will receive ten images to post on Facebook and other social media outlets. You will a custom set of 50 Mommy Rep cards that will feature your child’s portrait on the card and DWP business info. You will also receive some extra goodies because everyone likes getting surprises. You will also receive a $25 gift card to Dyan Witt Photography for each referral that you bring. This is my way of saying “thanks” for sharing the love and spreading the word. When you reach 5 referrals, I will have a special surprise gift that I know you will love!

The fine print:

* If you are chosen as a Mommy Rep for Dyan Witt Photography you must agree to sign a contract and a model release form to allow Dyan Witt Photography to use of any and all of your images for promotional, marketing, advertising materials and in any other form DWP sees fit.

* A referral is counted as a completed newborn, child, family, maternity, engagement, high school senior session or any other portrait session that tells us you sent them.
