But I started Digital 103 at Showcase today  – homework to come.

Theme was the lovely leaf – a different perspective than perhaps typically just ‘fall’.

These two above were a different take on pumpkins then you had tried before – that was today’s.

Theme was scatter.

Theme was bounty I think…

 This day was about monochromatic…. finding something interesting.  I thought the stairs made it interesting…

This day was about finding something that had fallen – I loved the pics fellow classmates did of kids hands holding fallen items… I thought the colors just happened to match the globe and made an interesting contrast.

This day was finding something round and playing with the light – so I took pictures from all sides of this little guy – and really liked how the sun light up his ridges and cast the shadow (it was fairly bright sunlight.)

There was a day about your kitchen – about preparation during the holidays.  The grilled cheese & tomato soup cooking fit the bill – but then I also had to take a picture of my little helper!

These might be my favorite shots to date – find something with texture – take the picture and then edit the color out… doesn’t have to be black & white – but take out the color and focus on the texture…. Love these, particularly the first one.

And today – today was about ‘my time’ – and while I don’t find these particularly compelling photographs – it at least fits the theme.  The first I edited to be more interested with lots of black – the other is just about comfort.

So there you go.  I think I have more misses than hits – but am loving the ones that work.

Today, day 5, was about little rememberances – words … and since its recent, what struck me was my gift I received as I crossed the finish line in my first sprint tri a couple weeks ago.  I need it to inspire me to continue to workout and keep accomplishing goals.

Day 3 was to look beyond what you would normally photograph and find beauty in something else – I LOVE how this one came out.
