She is so fat she cannot move or walk. She is stuck in her bed. What shocked me is what also shocked her new diet doctor. Unless she is lying, according to her food journal she eats only one meal a day and it's not even near a thousand calories. With a diet like that she should be skinny, even skeletal.

If you stuff yourself you'll feel bad afterward both emotionally and physically. Stuffing yourself at just one meal can put you back on the road to weight gain instead of weight loss.

Keep the "now or never" mindset. It's not OK to stuff yourself now and New Year's is not a diet.

Think of it this way. If you really wanted it you'd have it. There should be no struggle no temptation to overeat. If you really wanted

It comes from observations of my own overeating. First I believe that you can only successfully kick a habit if it's presented right in front of you and you can refuse it. We all have our favorite foods and our food weaknesses. However having those foods in abundance in your kitchen actually help you to resist them.

For instance, for a long time

A federal task force is urging doctors to screen for obesity in children from 6 to 18 years old based on their BMI numbers. The BMI is the relationship between your height and weight remember. Although there is a chart to figure out someone's BMI , it's really pretty simple. Just look at them.

If you can't decide if someone is overweight or not, I wouldn't worry about them too much.

I know it sounds weird to train for a new diet but I think it's the only thing that works. With any diet you go on it has to be something that will become your habit every day for the rest of your life. It must become a habit.

It's been a tough year for me and I haven't taken my thyroid pills for close to a year now. I'm going down hill but expect to be back on the meds within the month.

I've also been overeating and of course gaining weight. I pigged out over the recent holidays and am ready to start eating smart again.

I'm not going to go on a certain diet but rather a calorie counting, or exchange,
