I am going old school for this week. I recently closed my deviantart account, it was the first place that I posted photos and when I was going over the images I decided that although some date back to my junior year (2006-2007) they are pretty good. So for the next week I will be posting them up from oldest to youngest.

These are the images that really started me loving photography and design. most of the edits were made in a great free program called paint.net. If you can't afford photoshop this is a great alternative. The photos are 35mm B&W film and from an old Pentax digital camera.

Kids of Uruguay

Well here are some of the best memories that I had of the Uruguyan people. The adults had there problems and there were a lot so I always liked talking with the kids. They seemed more innocent and pure. Even thought they were in very humble circumstances they really were amazing to be around

ok this isn't a a kid but a drunk and a Jehovah's Wittiness ha ha. Me and my comp were waiting for the other elders to come home with the keys and this guy came up and he was obviously drunk. He rambled on about 144,000 elected then I interrupted him and asked if i could take his picture he agreed and right before I let off the shutter he stuck his tong out! AMAZING SHOT!! ha ha.

So this is why I was in Uruguay for 2 years to make sure that these kids could be with their family for ever. (we will see about the drunk)

Well this post has a few more animals than i usually shoot but there area lot in Uruguay so enjoy and COMMENT i don't want to hear anything nice!

So I am going through all of the "artsy" photos that I have from the mission. These are some of the things that I saw; some were made to be art and I made them my own, others weren't indented to be art and I made it that way, you can decide what to think.

All of these were taken with my Kodak EasyShare. Slight HSL contrast editing. Enjoy.

Getting Back in the Swing of Things

Well it has been a long time away from the blog but now i am back. Now to start things off some great shots that i took on the mission. You didn't think that i would stop taking pics did ya?

NOTE: most were taken with a point and shoot Kodak, proving that it is not the camera but the photographer.I mainly used this because a big DSLR is a little big for knocking doors.

All of these shots have been edited slightly in Microsoft Picture Manager. Meaning that all of these have only gone through minor HSL,contrast/brightness edits. In the proceeding months, when get Photoshop CS5 installed, and am not using the family PC better quality edits and photomerges will be uploaded. Just as is my style.

So this one was taken near West Yellow Stone, from 2 images, HDR from RAW. a full view is a must!!
Yeah there were Buffalo on the side of the road, made everyone stop so that I could snap a few. They were rushing me.

The rest of these pictures were taken from the car window, I had to be quick!
I thought that I would be done with snowy pictures for a good long while, I was wrong

Another buffalo that got in our way it was getting annoying
