<p dir="ltr">CopyCat c’est le nom d’un nouveau malware qui aurait déjà infecté 14 millions de terminaux Android, son principal objectif serait de remplir les poches des hackers qui l’ont développé. On parle d’un montant astronomique d’1,5 million de dollars qui aurait été amassé par ces derniers en l’espace de deux mois à peine.</p>
<p dir="ltr">malware android copycatCopyCat est une menace relativement silencieuse puisqu’elle se charge exclusivement d’afficher de la pub alors que l’utilisateur n’a aucun moyen de savoir d’où cela provient. Cette cyberattaque d’envergure va sans doute faire couler beaucoup d’encre prochainement, alors que de graves menaces comme Dvmap sont encore fraîchement dans les mémoires.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Ce sont les chercheurs de CheckPoint qui tirent la sonnette d’alarme puisque aujourd’hui nous comptons déjà 14 millions de terminaux Android touchés par CopyCat. C’est principalement l’Asie (55%) qui est touché, viennent ensuite l’Afrique (18%), les Amériques (12%), l’Océanie (8%) et enfin l’Europe (7%) qui est relativement épargnée par la menace.</p>
<p dir="ltr">CopyCat infecte 14 millions de terminaux et rapporte 1,5 millions de dollars aux hackers<br>
CopyCat injecte du code malveillant au sein de Zygote qui va ensuite permettre l’affichage de publicité à travers diverses applications frauduleuses qui vont s’installer et se lancer sans même que l’utilisateur puisse faire quoi que ce soit.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Ce procédé vise à accroître les revenus publicitaires des hackers. La rapide propagation de ce malware n’est pas sans rappeler Xavier qui a donné des sueurs froides aux cabinets spécialisés dans la cybersécurité.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Ce nouveau problème de sécurité va de nouveau traîner Android dans la boue qui n’en finit pas de faire les gros titres concernant les diverses menaces de sécurités.</p>
