&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;1. When I get dressed in the morning I think&lt;/strong&gt;...leather boots, running shoes or Vans.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;2. If my days had one extra hour I would&lt;/strong&gt;...try to learn a new language.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;3. On a typical Saturday night I&lt;/strong&gt;...work, run around to check on my restaurants and meet friends for late dinner, usually 10:30 p.m. or later.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;4. When it comes to opening a restaurant in NYC, I always tell people&lt;/strong&gt;...you have to really know the customer you are looking to own on a weekly basis.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;5. When I'm looking to de-stress I&lt;/strong&gt;...workout, run, or do anything physical to just let things go.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;6. I would never leave my apartment without&lt;/strong&gt;...my Samsung IV, the camera on it is remarkable now and I take a lot of photos of food, wine, furniture, etc. for ideas.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;7. When hiring people, the qualities I value most are&lt;/strong&gt;...high energy, positive attitude and love to work, all work.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;8. My favorite meal always includes&lt;/strong&gt;...great wine and people.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;9. I developed EBOOST because&lt;/strong&gt;...I was a fan of a few European vitamin brands, but wanted all the same benefits plus green tea for the boost. It was a niche my partner and I thought we could attack with the right branding and legit product recipe.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;10. I drink EBOOST&lt;/strong&gt;...before my morning workout and at 3 p.m. instead of coffee.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;11. My favorite healthy foods include&lt;/strong&gt;...grilled plain salmon with Siracha on the side, any type sashimi, 22 Days protein bars, pressed green juices and Boku Superfood.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;12. My guilty pleasure is&lt;/strong&gt;...it may sound cliché, but I have none.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;13. When it comes to my workout routine&lt;/strong&gt;...I try to avoid routine or repeating something very often, it’s the enemy of real results.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;14. I'm dying to splurge on&lt;/strong&gt;…a two-week summer trip starting in Croatia, no other plans just one day at a time or maybe two.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;15. When I found out this celebrity was an EBOOST fan I was particularly excited&lt;/strong&gt;...Hugh Jackman. The guy works and works out like a Wolverine!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;16. You'd never catch me wearing&lt;/strong&gt;...baggy clothes.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;18. I never travel without&lt;/strong&gt;...iPad, Jambox speaker, Bose headphones and EBOOST.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;19. The last thing I Googled&lt;/strong&gt;...was a travel itinerary for my last-minute trip.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;20. The most relaxing vacation I ever took&lt;/strong&gt;...not sure, I don’t travel to relax, I travel to travel and explore. I relax with activity so any vacation with action, sun or snow is what I prefer.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;21. The key to starting your own business is&lt;/strong&gt;...just start it. Most fail before they begin — they over-think, talk, evaluate and usually never get out of the gate.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div class="feedflare"&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Michaels is focusing on this mental aspect of getting fit even more in her new roles, as the “Chief Energy Officer” for natural energy drink purveyor EBoost and an inspirational speaker traveling the country on her “Maximize Your Life” tour, which just kicked off this month. (She also talks about it a lot in her newest book, Slim for Life.)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;“The fact is that I can provide all of the information in the world but if a person isn’t motivated to use it then none of it matters,” shes says. “Lasting motivation—the kind that makes a true and permanent difference—must come from within.”&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;We asked Michaels to share some of the most common workout motivation pitfalls, and how to avoid them:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;1. You forget your “why.” “It is SO important to find and focus on the why—why getting fit and healthy is important to you. When you forget this, it’s easy to fall into old patterns and poor habits,” Michaels says. “But when you remember and focus on that specific why—’I want to get fit so I can be healthy enough to see my daughter walk down the aisle’—then you can power through every workout, make the right choices at lunch time, and so on.”&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;2. You go into a slip-up tailspin. “Another thing people tend to do is get discouraged and let a slip-up derail them completely. Slip-ups happen. To all of us. Sometimes we miss a workout or eat something that isn’t exactly ideal,” she says. “But if you had a flat tire in your car, would you get out on the side of the highway and decide to puncture the other three? Of course not. And you shouldn’t do this in your quest to get fit either. If you have a slip, shake it off, move on, and just do better the next day.”&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;3. You let your friends drag you down. “For most of us, the people in our lives are a key motivator, very often a large part of our ‘why.’ But they can also lead us to feel pressure to eat foods that aren’t the greatest choices for us, skip workouts, and more,” Michaels explains. It’s a problem New York women feel acutely: happy hour or hot yoga? “It’s important to be direct and upfront about getting healthy,” she explains. “Tell your friends and family what you are doing and make yourself accountable. This will allow you to recruit support and encouragement from the people closest to you and it will force those that sabotage you to take a look at their own behavior in terms of diet and fitness—which is often something they should and are hoping to work on as well.” Maybe invite your BFF to spin class? —Lisa Elaine Held"&lt;/p&gt;

Registered dietitian Heather Bauer, founder of Bestowed.com, showed us the top metabolism-boosting foods you can eat to look fit and fabulous in your bathing suit.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Hot Chili Peppers.&lt;/strong&gt; These suckers are like magic for boosting your metabolism and burning calories. Studies have shown that people who eat spicy foods tend to eat less, so hot chili peppers work double duty because they'll keep you full and rev up your metabolism. Spicy foods heat up your body so that you burn more calories, without any effort, and the great part is that there are a lot of spicy food options that don't contain too many calories.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Quinoa.&lt;/strong&gt; It's a great vegan source of protein and fiber, so it will fight off hunger in addition to burning fat. What you may not know about quinoa is that it's actually a seed, and one of the reasons it's so great is because it's very versatile. You can eat is as part of an entrée or a side dish, or even for breakfast like you would oatmeal.  You could also add quinoa to a salad with some pear and walnuts for a tasty, satisfying meal.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Green Tea.&lt;/strong&gt; You've probably heard that green tea can help boost your metabolism, but the reason it's helpful is because it contains a substance called EGCG, which is an antioxidant that burns calories. EGCG promotes fat oxidation in your body, and green tea in general contains no calories, which is another reason to drink up. As you know, &lt;strong&gt;EBOOST&lt;/strong&gt; is based on green tea extract (among others).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Dark Chocolate.&lt;/strong&gt; As if you need a reason to indulge regularly (in moderation) in chocolate, it happens to have metabolism boosting effects as well. Dark chocolate contains flavonoids that rev up your metabolism and satisfy your sweet tooth. Look for dark chocolate that is at least 70% dark, but make sure you don't overdo it because if you overindulge, the metabolism boost will be counteracted.&lt;br /&gt;
