I don’t know much about the Ozzy diet but one thing was very noticeable, all their signed walks, beauty spots, etc had free parking to encourage Australians to exercise, here in England there is always someone with a ticket machine or a bloody robot to collect the cash and penalties if your don’t pay.

Eat Clean!
In a nutshell, it’s high quality lean protein always combined with carb. No pills, no supplements, no products to buy! But stay away from packaged, processed food which contains things you don’t need. It has been developped based on athletic people needs.

As a rule of thumb: If it didn’t grow like that, don’t eat it.

It’s not a low carb diet but a good quality food diet and the energy you get from eating clean is just fantastic because your body does not stall with the chemicals it would normally process with canned, frozen, over processed food.

Lots of veggies and fruits!

You eat 6 small meals per day, which keeps you satisfied all day and keeps the furnace burning!

Another very good option is Global Fitness, which gives you a meal plan based on your specifics and it’s for active people.
Good luck!

If you want a basic diet, you can follow the USDA food pyramid. Just be sure to make healthy choices for starches and fats.

If you’re not overweight, then what you’re doing now is working for you. Switch out “whites” like rice & bread, for whole grain versions when you can.

Focus fats more on the healthy variety like olive oil, avocados, peanut oil and even smaller amount of real butter (not margarine).

Good job taking control of your food choices for 2007!

Don’t eat late at night.
Eating late at night can cause you to store more fat in your waist and stomach. Stop eating 3 hours before you go to bed. If you need a snack, eat something healthy like a piece of fruit or a handful of nuts (unsalted).
Eat often, but in small portions. The less your body peaks and falls on the blood sugar scale, the less likely it will be to overeat and/or store unwanted fat. Ideally, cut calories, but don’t starve yourself. If you eat the right foods and eat often enough, you won’t find yourself eating huge portions and overeating in general.
Eat fats like fish oil, sunflower oil, flax seed oil. Also whole grains, legumes, and vegetables and limiting meats. Ease up on the salt and gassy foods that cause you to bloat.

WHEN to eat for losing weight…

• Eat (at least) three times a day.
Because when you eat only once a day, your metabolism gets slower than it already is! That’s the main reason. Sounds funny, but to lose weight… You must eat (the right things, of course)
• Eat low-fat, high-fiber foods such as salads and vegetable pastas.
• Your last meal should be before 18:00. Try.
OK, one apple after 18:00
• Don’t starve
Starvation is not good for losing weight, nor your health.
Starvation is the worse thing you can do in a weight loss diet.
• Try oatmeal instead of cornflakes for breakfast–eating oatmeal can help reduce cholesterol levels, and its high fiber content will keep you full longer.

WHAT to drink for losing weight…

• Drink 6-8 glasses of water every day !
Can be tap, plain, mineral, sparkling. I just love mineral sparkling water!
This improves your bowel, reduces the “hunger” sensation, and hydrates your skin. Your skin will look much better after the first weeks!
Don’t believe the slogan “water makes me fat”. Beside being stupid… You might get into serious troubles with your kidneys.
• Drink ONLY natural juices, freshly squeezed!
Don’t drink Coca Cola, Pepsi, Spite etc. During the diet. Even lite or light versions.
• Avoid those vending machines by carrying around your own healthful foods and leaving pocket change at home.

Good luck !

Pete Genot answers:

Healthy foods are those that are provided by mother nature and not made by man. Animal proteins like eggs, fish, meat, poultry, pork, fruits, veggies, complex carbohydrates like whole oatmeal, beans, whole grain rice, lentils, potatoes, yams and assorted nuts and seeds. Basically all foods provided by mother nature are healthy when consumed in reasonable servings sizes. The less processed foods in your diet the healthier you will be.

Bagels are heavily processed carbohydrates and are caloric dense. They are surely not healthy and should be consumed in minimal amounts. When it comes to carbohydrates if it dissolves in the mouth with out having to be chewed that tells you that it’s heavily processed and not very good for you. Healthy foods do not dissolve in the mouth.

Since you are 14 and are doing 30 minutes of cardio work on the eliptical trainer, I’d eliminate the walking. Take that 15 minutes and do a little more weight training/resistance work. Something like:

Day 1 – Legs and hips, arms: squats 3 X 10, side lunges 3 X 10, tricep presses 3 X 10, dumb bell curls 3 X 10

Day 2 – Chest and back, abs: Dumb bell chest presses 3 X 10, cable rows 3 X 10, crunches on the exercise ball

Day 3 – Legs and hips, arms: 1-legged squats 3 X 10, lunges 3 X 10, tricep kickbacks 3 X 10, wrist curls 2 X 10

Day 4 – Chest and back, abs: Incline dumb bell flies 3 X 10, lat pull downs 3 X 10, bicycle crunches

Limit your rest between sets to 1-2 minutes.

Your diet looks good, but you might want to add a bit more protein in at dinner (lean meat, natural peanut butter, egg whites, fish – something). You might add a protein drink to your diet in the morning between breakfast and lunch.

Enjoy!

Add snacks in between the meals, when trying to eat healthy, 6 meals > 3 because it keeps your metabolism moving. Make the snacks fruit, yogurt, almonds, bowl of cereal, etc. You should probably eat a little bit more (especially at breakfast) if you’re skinny/average weight.

I keep talking myself out of eating healthy and then feeling bad about it?

So I do eat very healthy(gluten free dairy free vegetarian) with lots of fruits, veggies, etc. But I overeat everyday. Im not overweight(im 5’5 and 110 lbs) and Im not trying to lose weight but rather be healthy. I will go on binges of anything (dry cereal, fruit leather, nuts, fruit, etc) I came home today, and I ate a healthy balanced breakfast, same with lunch, but I came home and ate some weird trail mix stuff(like 3 handfuls) then 3 handfuls of peanut butter panda puff cereal, then watermelon, then 3 things of fruit leather, then 2 handfuls of cashews. Eww now i feel sick. So in the morning I feel great, I go to cross country, run about 5 miles and i feel so good and I really plan on eating super healthy and being healthy. Then I eat breakfast, usually I feel okay. But when I go to eat lunch or a snack I eat a bunch or bad stuff. Before I actually eat it, I am like, “oh i ran so much today, and im only 14 im young!) and im fine when i eat(besides eating too much) but afterwards im like WOW why did i do that im all gross now and unhealthy. Then I feel like I cant fix it. Or sometimes i’ll be fine until dinner. Lately Ive been eating healthy until after dinner. I know I shouldnt eat before bed but i usually eat at like 9pm(cereal, chocolate, etc) and go to bed within 1/2 hour to an hour. (which i know is very bad)
so any help PLEaSE?
i also drink about 12 cups of water a day(seriously!) so i dont need the “drink more water” thing

I find when I eat many small meals (6-7/day), I tend to eat less calories, maybe you could try that? I’ll do that once in a while (we’re exactly the same age, height, and weight, btw, and I run XC… Isn’t that weird? ), but then I just feel so gross that I won’t do it for months again. Maybe keep a food diary?- for me, at least, its harder to go eat a bowl of melon, frozen grapes, a Luna bar, a bowl of cereal, pasta, and celery, all at once, if I know I’m going to have to write it all down.

Thank you for being smart about it! Instead of listing a bunch of information here i thin kyou would be better off purchasing the book: “the eat clean diet” by tosca reno. Its not a diet at all don’t worry. She teaches you how to eat healthy without feeling like you are depriving your body of food. She also talks about exercise and includes easy recipes inside her book. She also has a cook book out too.

Pete Genot answers:

If you want to start a workout plan, you need to follow a nutritional guide. So, you can look up some nutritional plans on Google. But, if you want to add some bulk, you need to make sure you eat a lot of Protein! Because protein, the mineral enacts as a superfood when it comes to enhancing your muscle tissues and repairing them for extra growth.

Take into consideration some of these tips:
– Buy Whey Protein that contains 25 grams of protein or more. Usually $10-$20.
– Try eating peanut butter sandwiches for lunch everyday.
– When you crave a fatning snack like chips, cookies, etc. Try making a salad,
preferably with a lot of tomatoes and not so much dressing. Or buy NutriGrams
thery’re inexpensive and contain a lot of minerals that are vital and they’re pretty good too.
– Remember to always try to control your flesh, and make healthy choices. If your hungry for something else that’s bad, try eating an apple, a banana, or make a smoothie. Try blending some whey protein with the smoothie, it tastes much better and you get twice as much protein. Because directly with milk, it isn’t too good. But if you mix whey protein with a fruit smoothie, it’ll taste pretty good.
– With your dinners, try to cook with healthy oils, use vegetable to steam soft vegetables, or cook chicken tenders with a little pepper and oil. Mix some rice too, and it’ll result to a healthy dinner. Remember that skinless chicken is the way to go, rather than chicken with skin because it contains nothing but fat and calories.

                     – However, once in a while; say every 2 or 3 weeks; its okay to eat a hamburger or a “fatning snack” to keep in with your diet. But, don’t over indulge this for everyday; or you will not gain muscle, but fat.

Just keep these tips in mind.

Get her on Overweight Management (OM) cat food by Purina, and only feed her a set amount per day. You need to feed your cat in “meals” to control their weight and eating. Maybe once in the morning give her, say, 35 grams of OM cat food, and maybe 45 grams at night.

How to Diet…without really dieting..after having a baby! and breastfeeding…?

that might not have made sence…but what I MEAN is I don’t want to drastically diet while I’m breastfeeding obviously because I really do want me and my lil man to be getting all the nutrition that we need!

I am currently 41 weeks pregnant (OY VEY!) and if he’s not out by thursday I will be getting induced…And will hopefully be breastfeeding as long as he gets the hang of it etc.

I went from 140lbs to 209lbs and am 5″3…So I did gain quite abit for me..I know the norm for weight gain is 30lbs or so but I let the cravings get to me..yikesss

I will be joining a bootcamp once the Dr gives me the go ahead for working out etc…But thats just my christmas present from my mama as it is quite expensive to get other ppl to kick your butt into shape! So I really want to know what is a good meal plan etc for breastfeeding mummas?? Are their any foods that I should for sure not go ahead without! (as of right now I literally eat anything and everything). And what foods are okay to take out of my diet…(obviously for women taking bread or carbs or sugar out of your diet really help with fast weight loss but is that okay ??)

Also have alot of you lost alot of weight just from breastfeeding?? And how long did you breastfeed for?

and lastlyyyyy….During pregnancy I know you are not supposed to eat raw sushi…cream cheese…and things such as that do I still have to discontinue those while breastfeeding?

Thanks everyone!

All you have to do is eat sensibly, whole grains, vegetables, fruit, salads, pasta, lots of water, etc. No fast food or overly fatty greasy or sugary stuff. Take walks daily and thats about it. The weight will come off if you do those things and breast feed

need advice about my diet during pregnancy?

What kind of diet (not weight loss diet) would be best for a pregnant woman with severe morning sickness? I have lost 20 pounds in 3 months and am 14 weeks pregnant. I mostly have trouble eating breakfast, so I need a meal plan not including breakfast. I usually eat one to two meals a day and its commonly a turkey and cheese sandwich and either yogurt or fruit. I am afraid my baby isn’t getting enough nutrients because I haven’t been able to take me prenatal vitamins and keep them down. What should I be eating each day? A 7 day meal plan would be great. Nothing heavy on the stomach please..

Some lunch ideas, grilled salmon veg and noodles soup with pasta(weird, but tasty) with wholemeale bread , bannana sandwiches make a nice light luch if your quesy. Other lunched can be grilled chicken with new potatoes and salad. Yougurts are a great snack. Anougther easy quick luch is weatabix with strawberrys and milk.

Evening meal ideas Rice with prawns and stirfry veg.Ham and cheese toasties(also a good lunch) Tofu plenty of veg with a nice sauce. Stuffed pitta bread: You can stuff with salad and beef, or whatever you fancy, Turkey is a good meal idea but try and include potatoes and veg. Spinniach is really good for you also as ity contains iron. Even a nice very mild home made curry, for somereason this helps my even sickness.

I’m after low cost ideas for those on low income during the heat wave here in Australia to save electricity?

For a start, one room is the cool room with air con all the time to save reheating it so I can sleep at night.

We are on tank water so I use the bare minimum so the pump to put it into the roof is hardly used.

We dont have gas or solar, cant afford the solar even though mom in aged care owns property I caretake it.

I’ve switched the hot water heater off and take cold showers. Its alright my sexual thoughts are pure.

I use the hot water from the roof header tank to wash clothes by hand each day in a big tub with minimum of soap and water. Being british its easy to go a week not showering. laughing have some humour eh?

I boil water and buy bottled drinking water from woolworths at $4/05 per six for 1/5 litres. it goes in the car. bacteria on reusable ones is turn off and needing boiled water after bleach as alternative.

I plan trips in the car, one per day unless my ex pays for a lift to work rare. she is learning to drive.

I used to drive and see mother every four times a week but with fuel prices going up her legal debts and her needing bridge work worth $5 grand, its tough, when she was in hospital for being bashed or pumbled by an aggressive woman in a debian sex death cult for liking a man, I went and saw her five days a week, she was in a no gap hospital and although she was asked by her private health insurer to take all her bills in and they would negotiate on her behalf I have a feeling the new lawyer stuffed things up and didnt do as I told twice and sent email once to do? So some private hospitals charge more than the no gap policy of most they say its professionals??? yeah right?

I have turned the fridge off. I use only food I can eat that day or go out to what I formerly cooked I do very little cooking at home, I take a meal replacement for weight loss and am so dissappointed herbalife wouldnt sell me there products, some idiot wanted some nonsense about a committment right they aint on dole?

Why am I on the dole? My family member admitted in a court of law to deliberatly approaching each and every employer I get that of warns them not to have me? Its their sick mental health they have mortgage stress uses their home loan as a bankcard also her doctor now with cancer abused psychiatric care on their depression mother kept backing them up finanaicially, anyway they tried to do away with her? Weird people.

So, lights are all non candescant and only switched on for use? Then off.

What more? dont use stove, dont charge car? my bill was $180 last quarter why are they charging me so much unemployed???

I answer to name lucky anything but late for breakfast and hey you?

Car costs, now can I lower them, like I dont want links to this and that in your answer just type if please?

Can anyone relate to this?

Every week we hear of some fantastic pill or chocolate tasting shake that will hold the key to all our quick-fix plans to shed those extra pounds.

I for one have been on a diet since I can remember. Every year, after Christmas, I sign up to yet another weight loss programme; be it ‘Weight Watchers’ or ‘Slimming World’, you name it I have tried them all. I end up spending a fortune to stand on a set of scales and be told that I have put on weight again; and as I stand there and I swear that I have stuck to the diet rigidly when the Weight Watchers Leader is asking me what went wrong (not letting on that I have had a wonderful weekend of food debauchery); or occasionally I have lost weight: which is normally because I haven’t eaten or drunk anything since breakfast and almost faint with hunger as I leave the room.

Now every so often there is something that is brought on to the market that will solve all our fat problems! Something that means you can have your cake and eat it quite literally – I for one, in the past, have been drawn into its advertising spell and have spent a fortune on some magic potion that is going to solve all my problems. I sit there and read, with glee, how this wonder pill is going to help me shed up to 6lbs a week. Great! I think to myself; I will only need to buy two weeks supply to lose a stone! There I go again handing over £50 for 2 weeks’ supply of ‘kid myself pills’ and trust that for the next few days that these pills are the answer to all my prayers. Needless to say all I do is sit on the toilet for most of the day after I have eaten and feel quite sick and angry that I have been drawn into another ‘rip off’ yet again!

Why do we do this to ourselves? There are far too many ‘too good to be true’ potions on the market and not one of them work. They draw you in with pictures of gorgeous women who claim to have taken them and have ended up looking like a supermodel at the end of it. It just isn’t going to happen. We would all love to look like Keira Knightley or Cheryl Cole however, they can afford to have someone cook them low fat meals every time they eat or are able to hire a personal trainer to keep them fit and healthy; the only way us normal folk can to do it is to eat less food and do more exercise.

These ‘too good to be true’ potions will only eat in to your £s and at a push help you with a bit of water retention. Take it from someone who has tried them all: they just don’t work. I’ll keep on with the ‘Weight Watchers’ which, if I’m serious, is a bit of a social event for me which I enjoy: and it keeps me on the straight and narrow (which is what I’ll be in a few months time!!) If it says that it is ‘too good to be true’ it usually is.
I am happy with myself and the story is not about me being on WW… It is about ‘Too Good To Be True’ potions`!!

Might be pregnant? what are some signs, and can you validate signs I might have?

Well, recently I’ve noticed a little bit of a change. I don’t want to get a pregnancy test RIGHT yet, but probably will if I feel more confident that I’m for sure pregnant. So, first, I’ve never started my period. I’ve had signs like bloating, break outs, moodiness every month around a specific time but never any blood. Which I’m having mood swings still, I’m sure my boyfriend can validate that lol! Anyway, my breasts have been sore. I don’t want to make assumptions as I sleep on my stomach, but that’s the only excuse I’ve had for that. I’ve been forgetting to eat some meals, but haven’t noticed any cravings, if anything that’s probably because I love bizarre foods that most girls would eat when they’re pregnant, or at least ones that are most common for pregnant women, i.e. pickles and ice cream (no, not mixed). Also, I’ll be REALLY hungry then I’ll eat and after only a few bites I’ll be STUFFED and don’t even want to look at food. I’ve been really tired lately, and even sore but I’ve had an increased amount of exercise, A LOT more than usual. Even with the increased exercise, noticeable weight loss, my pants are still a little tight. I looked on a site and it said motion sickness and constipation are signs… sadly I was on a plane a few weeks ago and got so sick on the first flight then had to get off the metro because I thought I was going to throw up is how sick I was, I didn’t but I felt pretty bad. Of course the constipation… I’ve had it lately but I blamed it on the fact that I had been eating an increased amount of cheese, and if it’s not constipation, it’s diarrhea. I’ve had to go pee A LOT though, more often than usual (like… 4+ times a day). One last thing, I’m not sure if this is a sign of being pregnant but lately as I’m out walking I’ll have sensations that I’m dizzy and about to pass out, I control myself, though, and feel fine, just a little fatigued throughout the day.

Please don’t say I’m irresponsible, I’m 18 and have only been with 1 guy, who I’m still with and am currently living with. I know the dangers of having unprotected sex, he said he can pull out and it’s full proof, and I call him a retard in return because I know how much a lie THAT is.

I’m not discouraged. If I am pregnant, it puts a huge dent in my life plans, as well as my boyfriend’s I’m sure, but it’s something you have to live with and you can’t let things like this keep you from having a happy life.

any advice is welcome thank you for your time!
unlike a lot of people on here, I could be either 4 months, 3 months, 1 month between like .. 2 days pregnant so compare the symptoms according to that amount of time

again, thank you
no, … January… I’ve never started my period. That’s not to say I was supposed to start when I got pregnant, but either way I’ve never had it my entire life. I doubt it as much as I can but I don’t want to say I’m 100% not pregnant and then come to find out I am.

Pete Genot answers:

I’m confused. When was the last time you had your period? If you have missed your period, then you should take a test. I know some people can be irregular, but if you are sexually active you need to realize that a lack of period is either because of an irregular period, some sort of stress or illness or change of diet, or PREGNANCY.

As you have said, many of those symptoms can be caused by sometrhing else. Often times pregnancy symtpoms are similar to those of PMS and other things.

Just know that those symptoms can be b/c of pregnancy. Or they may not be. Those are really the only two options, I know. If you want peace and a solid answer, then it’s pertinent that you test – especially if you have missed your period by a month, 2 months, 3 months, or more. That should be cause for concern enough.

I’m going shopping today. What shall I buy? Help me make up a healthy shopping list?

Hello.  I’m 17 and 5’6.

I’m starting a new healthy eating plan to loose loads of weight because I’m getting fat.

What kind of things shall I buy? I need some ideas, I know the obvious like lettuce, tomatoes..etc.

I haven’t got a huge budget either & I live alone. So I can’t cook like huge meals.

So if you could jot down some nice but healthy foods and meal plans it would be a great help.

I’m aiming to eat around 800 cals a day.

Pete Genot answers:

I’m on a diet at the moment – I’m 5.5″ and trying to get from 10 stone to 9 stone. I have been losing about 2 pound per week eating around 1400 cals a day and doing moderate exercise. Believe me, you will not get by on 800 cals a day and you will actually lose weight slower because your body will store more calories as fat because it will think you are starving. Ok this is an example of what I eat…

Breakfast (around 400 cals)
2 weetabix with cut up banana and semi-skimmed milk and a glass of orange juice.

Mid-morning snack (50-100 cals)
an apple

Lunch (around 400 cals)
Wholemeal pitta bread with half a tin of tuna, extra light mayo and rocket and a fat free yogurt

Mid afternoon snack (50-100 cals)
Ryvita limbos (very tasty and only 63 cals!)

Dinner (up to 500 cals)
Tonight I’m going to have grilled cod fillet with brown rice and a large serving of vegetables. But I also have pasta and chicken with lots of veg, grilled chicken salad etc.

I also walk briskly for about 40 mins per day to and from work but I am going to start training for the race for life soon so that will give me more exercise. I may need to up my calorie intake when I start doing more exercise because I will be burning more!

So in conclusion – Buy lots of fresh fruit and veg, tins of tuna, wholemeal pitta breads, chicken breasts, low fat yogurts, low fat crisps/snacks, orange juice, semi-skimmed milk, brown rice and pasta. Also get some sugar free jelly pots – they have no fat and hardly any calories and come in very useful if you get any cravings!

Hope I’ve helped!

What is a good daily healthy meal/nutrition guide?

Its very confusing to find something straight forward and to the point. I’ve heard that eating sugar or carbs after 1pm is bad because your body cant process it and I’ve also heard that to slim down your tummy you should cut out all sugary foods (isn’t that everything?). So far I’ve lost 25 pounds but I’d like to get down to my ideal and healthy weight and I need help with a meal plan.

Pete Genot answers:

- Drink a glass of water before you start the meal. Water naturally needs some space so that you feel fuller without actually having to stuff yourself.

- Have another glass of water while you are having the meal. Again this is another great how to lose weight fast super tip and a way of making yourself full, another great weight loss tips, so that you can actually rise from the table eating less but feeling full just the same. Instead of drinking it one gulp, take sips after each morsel. It will help the food to settle faster so that you get that feeling that you are full faster. SIDENOTE: Water is such a remarkable thing, but seldom do we give it the credit that it deserves. Did you know that over 66% of your body weight is nothing but water’ It’s amazing! Water also plays a vital role in weight control, which is why I donated so much space to it, above.

- Stay away from sweetened bottle drinks, especially sodas. Hey all those colas and fizzy drinks are sweetened with sugar and sugar means calories. The more you can cut out on these sweetened bottle drinks, the better for you. So if you must drink sodas, then stick to diet sodas.

- Include in your diet things that contain more water like tomatoes and watermelons. These things contain 90 to 95 % water so that there is nothing that you have to lose by feasting on them. They fill you up without adding to the pounds.

The first couple are for your breakfast
wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
If your running late, a smoothie made with fruit and yogurt is a super-quick, healthy option. Just throw the ingredients in the blender, puree until smooth, pour into a cup and hand it to them as they run out the door.

Banana Breakfast Fruit Smoothie
Yield:  2 to 4 servings
Ingredients

    * 1 banana, peeled, cut into chunks, and frozen
* 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
* 1 1/2 cups orange juice
* 1 cup ice
* 2 scoops vanilla ice cream

Directions
Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth.
Wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
Blueberry Blast Smoothie
Yield:1 serving, about 2 cups
Ingredients

    * 1/2 cup nonfat or 1 percent lowfat milk
* 1/2 cup non fat plain yogurt
* 1 cup frozen blueberries (unsweetened)
* 1 teaspoon honey

Directions
Put all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
Wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
Crunchy Bran French Toast
4 servings
Ingredients

    * 8 slices whole-grain bread
* 4 tablespoons light cream cheese
* 4 teaspoons low-sugar orange marmalade
* 2 large eggs plus 2 egg whites
* Zest and juice of 1 orange
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 1 1/2 cups bran flakes cereal
* 1 to 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
* 1 to 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
* 2 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar (optional)

Directions

Spread 4 bread slices with 1 tablespoon cream cheese each; spread the other 4 slices with 1 teaspoon marmalade each. Combine to make 4 sandwiches.

Whisk the whole eggs, egg whites, orange zest and juice, and vanilla in a shallow bowl. Place the bran flakes in a resealable plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin or your hands. Pour the crumbs onto a plate. Dip both sides of each sandwich in the egg mixture, then in the crumbs, gently pressing the crumbs onto the bread.

Heat 1 tablespoon each oil and butter in a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add the sandwiches in batches and cook until the outsides are golden and the insides are melted, 3 to 4 minutes per side. (Add more oil and butter, if needed.)

Slice the French toast sandwiches into triangles. Let cool before serving to little ones, as the cream cheese can get quite hot. Sprinkle with confectioners’ sugar, if desired, and the kids won’t even ask for syrup!
Wwwwwwwwwwwwwww
For your salad.
Wwwwwwwwwwwwww
Parmesan Broccoli and Cauliflower Salad
4 servings
Ingredients

    * 2 1/2 cups bite-sized broccoli florets
* 2 1/2 cups bite-sized cauliflower florets
* 2 eggs, lightly beaten
* 1 cup grated Parmesan
* 1/2 to 1 cup olive oil
* 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
* 4 cups lightly packed fresh spinach leaves
* 1/2 lemon, zested
* 1 lemon, juiced
* 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
* 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Directions

Place the broccoli and cauliflower in a large bowl. Toss with the beaten eggs to coat evenly. Place the Parmesan in a large tray or baking dish and dredge the vegetables in the cheese, pressing to coat evenly.

Pour olive oil in a large heavy skillet until the olive oil is 1/4-inch deep, about 1/2 cup depending on the size of your skillet. Warm the olive oil over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, carefully add the Parmesan-coated vegetables. Do not overcrowd the pan. Cook in batches, if necessary. Let the vegetables cook until a crust forms, about 3 minutes per side. Turn the vegetables only when they easily release from the bottom of the pan. Drain on paper towels and season with salt.

Place the spinach in a large bowl. In a small bowl, whisk together the lemon zest, lemon juice, extra-virgin olive oil, salt, and pepper. Drizzle the spinach with the vinaigrette and toss to coat. Add the Parmesan coated vegetables. Toss and serve.
Wwwwwwwwwwwww

Add the beans to the same pan along with the smashed garlic, 1/2 cup warm water and a pinch of salt; cook over low heat until warmed through, smashing slightly with a fork.

Meanwhile, heat the remaining 2 tablespoons oil in another skillet. Fry the eggs sunny-side up; season with pepper.

    * 1/4 cup packed fresh basil leaves, torn
* 2 tablespoons packed fresh mint leaves, torn

Directions

Heat the oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, and place them skin side down in the pan. Cook, turning once, until firm to the touch, about 5 minutes per side. Transfer the chicken breasts to a plate.

Add the lime juice to the skillet, and scrape up any browned bits that cling to the pan with a wooden spoon. Add the chicken broth and ginger, and bring to a boil. Off the heat, add the basil and mint to the pan and swirl the pan to combine.

Divide the chicken between the 2 plates and spoon the herb sauce over the chicken. Serve.

You won’t lose weight using a Low Calorie Dieting Plan either. In fact, eating low calories is the worst thing that you can do to your body, since that will only slow down your body’s fat burning engine and ruin all chances of losing weight (low calorie diets may allow a few pounds of weight loss for the first few days, but then after that all weight loss comes to a halt — known as a dieting plateau). You can never get slim by starving yourself.
The 9 pounds every 11 days fat loss promise – Fat Loss 4 Idiots promises that you will lose 9 pounds every 11 days of use. I don’t like this promise because every person is different and loses weight at a different pace. Sure, some people do lose 9 pounds every 11 days, others do even better. But most of the people lose an average of 6 pounds every 11 days. This is still a great weight loss rate, so I think Fatloss4idiots could’ve done without the 9 pounds promise.

I have been through it all and know what’s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can’t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I’ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.

Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.

First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can’t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising…

This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it’s good for the heart.

However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It’s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I’ve found a great addition to help any one out, it’s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don’t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don’t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn’t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It’s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace.com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it’s the best pill I’ve tried and I’ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn’t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I’ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.

Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

I need advice on my weight loss plan. Please read the following and tell me if its doable?

OK I am a young male 200 plus plbs, and am about to begin a diet to lose weight naturally. I have used every diet pill pill known to man, but I figure those things are just placebos. Ok I will eat around 5 small meals per day. Will keep it low sodium, sugar, carb, and fat. Will only drink water, and intake sugar free sweets. So lets say between Sunday and Saturday (1 week), I walk on my treadmill for around 3 hours each morning when I wake up before breakfast. Well lets say in the 3 hours time frame I burned around 700 calories, and I did this every 1 week between Sunday and Saturday would I lose weight. Lets say the night before I prepare my meals, and if I cook a big chicken piece, I would break it into 3 to 4 piece hence 4 meals out of my 5 or 6 per day. So just let me know on my proposed plan. Thx

I think you will be hungry. All the adipose tissue in your body is fed by blood vessels. To obtain energy just for the normal functioning of your bodily systems, you probably need 2400 calories per diem. In addition, restricting calories will cause your body to fear famine and fight to preserve the fat weight. Also, you need minerals and vitamins from plant based foods. Ergo, do workout. Eat well, just don’t eat calorically dense foods. That way, you can take a few years to learn a new lifestyle. Sometimes, it takes a decade to appreciate the bounty of natural food, like bananas, for example. Once your body produces fat cells, the body is vested in keeping them alive. They haunt you forever. So slow , steady, and vigilant is the only way to minimize the fat ratio. More muscle by way of hard, high pulse rate aerobics. More on the exercise, less empty calories

My weight loss plan, do you think it is effective? (10 points >:3)?

I’m 18 and I’ve been dieting on and off for the past 2 years. I have lost about 40 pounds, but I’m going away in one month to Sicily with my school. We’re probably going to go on the beach, so I want to get my body ready for it, as in not having any stomach fat or anything.

So this is my diet/workout plan. I need opinions on how you think this is going to work. Remember, I have 1 month before my trip. I weight about 165 pounds right now (5 foot 10 inches tall) and I would like to weight 150 or 155 pounds.

Workouts: Every day for the next month work out on a stationary bike for 20 full minutes. I burn about 190 – 200 calories per workout.

Dieting: Only drink Diet Soda + water. Stay under 2,000 calories but don’t go below 1,400 calories.
Eat 3 meals a day, no less.

And that’s really it. The goal of my working out every day for 20 minutes isn’t to Kill huge amounts of calories in short amounts of time, it’s more to increase my metabolism so that I burn calories throughout the day. So, any tips you may have or comments on my dieting plan please feel free to leave. I do not take dieting pills however because they will just damage my heart and liver so I will immediately disregard any suggestions with regards to using them.
TY =]
oh, and I am involved in ZERO SPORTS. My school does not do them =[ and it’s also winter time, so no sports for me. just take that into consideration when commenting

I know this for a fact, that you can’t loose “all of your stomach fat” no matter what you do, but the thing is that you want to be healthy. Don’t force a weight loss plan onto yourself, and don’t try anything really drastic. This way you truly will look and feel your best. People would rather see someone healthy and happy on the beach than someone who looks too skinny or unhappy because they’re dieting to look good. But your plan sounds perfect, it’s healthy yet it should get you results. Good luck, and remember, it only matters if you have fun on your trip!

The human body is made up of ‘whatever %’ water they’ve decided today, somewhere in the 60-70% range; Losing some of it is called dehydration. This is not good and will not make you look or feel any better. Lowering your sodium intake is a great idea, and so is “etc”, which I’m pretty sure is more fibrous vegetables and fruits, an exercise regimen, and sufficient rest.
20 lbs is a huge difference, and it’s strange that you haven’t noticed anything in terms of appearance…if you have a healthy diet and consistent exercise, you should definitely see results after 3-4 weeks. Make sure you keep yourself hydrated with plenty of water and weight yourself at the same time in the morning after using the restroom and before you eat anything, maybe once or twice a week. Other than keeping a healthy diet with exercise, there isn’t much you can do to lose the weight naturally.

As for cardio, you should try to run/jog 1-1.5 miles every day. Start at a comfortable pace, and slowly challenge your body to a faster pace and/or for a longer distance.

You always lose water/food weight when you go to the bathroom, silly.
Water weight is just the um, substance in your body that can be gotten rid of.
Losing water weight is temporary, you’re just going to gain it back when you drink or eat again.
If you ate healthy, you wouldn’t burn fat. You would just be not gaining any fat.
Exercising burns fat, and eating healthy keeps you from gaining that back. Got it? =] so, to answer your question, not very successful.

it may make you feel thinner, and lose some pounds on the scale (temporarily)
it also might make your stomach look smaller though due to bloating.

Does anyone have any good suggestions for diet plans?

I currently started working out 4-5 times a week. I wouldn’t say that I am a “fat” person. I just have the fat that covers the muscle that I want to get rid of. I want to get on a better diet plan but I am always so lost on what I should be eating to help in burning fat. I am not a fan of all carb, or all this or that diets etc. I just want something simple, but not something where I have to completely cut something out of my diet. Anyone have any suggestions?

My friend went to a dietian and this is what she told her to do:For breakfast have fruits and yogurt or healthy cereal like Special K or Shredded Wheat (try not adding sugar either)Eat a salad for two meals a day for a week. You can add things like turkey and small amounts of egg and cheese if you want but try and stay away from any acidic dressing (like vinegar).For snacks eat fruits and veggies or a snack bar; the ones she found most similar to the ones her doc gave her were South Beach Diet Bars and they were a lot cheaper than she was paying for the other ones!Stay away from caffeine, sugar (if you must have sugar use brown sugar), no sweets (if you must have sweets have dark chocolate), bleached flour (have whole wheat as a substitute; wheat pasta (small amounts) and wheat flour) and very little red meat (try only having it once or twice a week WITH your meal not AS a meal).This is straight from the dietians mouth and she lost 10lbs the first week. So it does work, promise!!

Unfortunately, it’s not a great thing. Up to 31% is acceptable for women. Also, since your 16, you don’t want to start out overweight. It only gets harder to lose the fat as you get older. But on the bright side, you have the knowlege of what your body fat percentage is, which is THE way to assess how fit you are, unlike weight. Another great way to measure is waist size. Check out this website below for more info.

Pete Genot answers:

I think 4.3% body fat is really low for adults. Someone your height and weight who was over 20 would be recommended to gain a few pounds by their doctor. You should double check your information though with the BMI (Body Mass Index) calculator made for children (ages 2-19 years).How do you know you are 4.3%? Did you use a website, because they are not very accurate. It’s best to ask your gym teacher/ coach at school if they have one of those machines that determines BMI and then ask them what your results mean.
