Patrick Dempsey is set to star in a new project, and in the film the actor will be off to the races!

The "Grey's Anatomy" star has signed on to 'The Art of Racing in the Rain' based on the best-selling novel by Garth Stein, Variety reports.

'Racing in the Rain' is the story of a family dog named Enzo, who evaluates his life based on lessons he learns through his owner, race-car driver Denny Swift, the trade paper says.

Miley Cyrus' Magical New Movie

Wish you had magical powers? Miley Cyrus will in an upcoming fantasy flick.

Miley is set to star in the big-screen adaptation of 'Wings,' about a shy teenage girl who learns she is a fairy, says Variety. The project took flight after Disney acquired the movie rights to Aprilynne Pikes' bestselling novel of the same name.

Miley is currently filming 'The Last Song,' which follows a rebellious teen who has to stay with her estranged dad over the summer. That film is expected out next year.

'Harry Potter' Breaks Records with Midnight Showing

After a two-year wait, muggles stormed the box office Tuesday night as 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' raked in the biggest midnight gross of all time, earning $22.2 million at the box office, according to Warner Bros.

With screenings beginning at 12:01 a.m. around the country, the sixth film in the phenomenal franchise beat out the top two record holders, 'The Dark Knight' and 'Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith,' which earned midnight grosses of $18 and $17 million, respectively. Earlier this summer, 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' cracked $16 million for its initial midnight run.

In 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,' the boy wizard (Daniel Radcliffe) and his pals Hermione and Ron (Emma Watson and Rupert Grint) face danger in the halls of Hogwarts as Voldemort's minions attempt to pull off a nefarious plan. Meanwhile, the students find romantic distractions -- hormonal and via potent love potions -- all around them. With a used book of potion spells once belonging to the Half-Blood Prince, Harry must work with Dumbledore (Sir Michael Gambon) to uncover a vital secret.

Bruce Willis Heads to the 'City'

Sources tell ET that Bruce Willis is in talks to star in a movie based on the comedy musical City of Angels, and the music will be in intricate part of the movie. .

Sources also tell ET the movie's screenplay will possibly be written by Larry Gelbart ("M*A*S*H") and Barry Levinson ('Diner') is also in talks to direct.

'Bridget Jones' Returns to Big Screen

'Bridget Jones' Diary' will be read once more in the third installment of the film series.

Renee Zellweger will reprise her role as Bridget Jones, a British female executive looking for love, studio Working Title confirmed to Variety. The third 'Bridget Jones' will reportedly have Bridget attempting to have a baby in her '40s before it's too late.

The film isn't set to begin production until the end of next year, the trade publication reports.

Hugh Jackman to Star in New Comedy

Hugh Jackman is trading in his 'Wolverine' claws for a role on the lighter side in a new comedy.

20th Century Fox has confirmed that Jackman will star and co-produce 'Avon Man' with his Seed Productions partner John Palermo, and Gary Foster of Krasnoff Foster Entertainment.

'Avon Man' is the story of a group of former auto dealership employees who find a new way of making money when one man is recruited into becoming an Avon salesman.

Vanessa Hudgens Rocks Out in 'Bandslam'

ET confirms that Natalie Portman is going the big-screen superhero route, playing the love interest of a Marvel Comics mainstay. Read on for the reveal!

The 'Star Wars' prequel trilogy and 'V for Vendetta' star will play the character of Jane Foster in 'Thor' opposite Chris Hemsworth ('Star Trek'), who has been cast as the mighty Thunder God cast down to Earth from the realm of Asgard. In the comic book, Foster is a nurse who becomes Thor's first love.

Scheduled to film early next year for a May 2011 release -- with Kenneth Branagh directing -- 'Thor' finds the arrogant Norse warrior forced to live among humans as punishment after reigniting an ancient war in his world. His true mettle is put to the test when a villainous foe sends dark forces from Asgard to invade Earth. Brit actor Tom Hiddleston will play the villain Loki.

'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' is poised to take the box office throne this weekend, and series stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint reflect on the incredible magic of the series -- and romance, onscreen and off!

"A lot of us now are in kind of quite serious relationships, or have been in relationships for quite a substantial amount of time, so for us to suddenly have to play all the young teenage love stuff is really, really quite good fun," Daniel tells ET.

In the real world, several reports say that Daniel likes to date older women, and he candidly explains to ET, "People think that it's a thing that I have, but actually it was kind of a matter of practicality. Women who are older than me when I was like 17 or 18 would have jobs, normally, so they would understand the idea of me having a job. Whereas if I'm 16 going out with 16-year-olds, they can't quite grasp the fact that I work nights sometimes and I'm not always around. And, also, older women are really cool."

Sacha Baron Cohen's latest character comedy 'Bruno' landed the No. 1 spot at the weekend box office, bringing in $30.4 million, studio estimates show.

The film beat out Baron Cohen's first comedy in 2006 'Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan' which made 26.5 million in its first opening weekend.
