Campione first came to Eaglestone due to issues with an existing conveyor on their bread line. The old conveyor had a bad motor and belt tracking system, which caused substantial downtime for repairs and an overall slower production rate.

For Campione’s new bakery, Eaglestone was tasked with a mission to design, engineer and build the most efficient line for their needs. We worked with Campione and its other vendors to spec out the right equipment and conveyor systems within their new 120,000 square foot facility. We provided accurate 3D CAD drawings of the line, demonstrating where it would be installed within 1/8 of an inch.

The final installation was a complete production line that works seamlessly from beginning to end with a “freeway” of transfer and multiple switch conveyors that move product from the oven and spiral cooler to multiple switches that feed topping applicators, freezers and ultimately feed an automated packaging system. Campione recognizes that Eaglestone was instrumental in putting this production line together from start to finish.

Along with running, Joe loves to cook, saying “I run a lot, so I can eat a lot!” He also has a vast knowledge of tropical fish that he gained from working at a fish store when he was 14 and retains to this day.

When he’s at the office running the sales team, Joe is motivated by his fellow employees’ passion for providing the best products and customer service. Along with his team, he greatly admires his 16-year-old son who is currently battling thyroid cancer and has maintained a great attitude throughout all of his surgeries and treatment. Joe regards his son as “the strongest and most positive human being I know! Many adults, including myself, can learn great lessons from his attitude.”

The Flip Clean’s design allows workers to safely and easily remove the belt from the conveyor in order to properly clean the entire belt, leaving it sanitized and ready for use. This saves time in the cleaning process as well as maintenance. This tool-less design offers a variety of sanitation elements including belt rails for easy removal and cleaning, crevice-less bearings and belt wheels to eliminate bacteria buildup points and an open frame to enable easy sanitation and maintenance under the belt.

Aside from being highly skilled as a mechanical engineer, Summers also has a passion for the arts. Music has been prominent in his life since the age of five, and he has not stopped singing since. He often bursts into song and provides a soundtrack for his fellow employees. His artistic talents extend beyond music and into his love for making balloon animals. Summers explains that “there is nothing quite like the look on a child’s face as when you blow up a simple balloon and turn it into a magical creature.”

His love for entertaining and bringing joy to others is driven by his desire to have “a full house” at his funeral. “I truly believe that my success in this life will be judged by the way my children turn out and the number of people who say that their lives were better for knowing me.”

Summers incorporates his positive and helpful attitude into his career at Eaglestone. He always desires to make the customers happy and strives “to make every project that comes through the doors a successful one.” Summers is very excited to finally join the team and use his passions to help Eaglestone continue to grow.

After 14 straight hours and 192 laps under its belt, the Boost4 car came in 23^rd place out of 37 cars in its class.

Eaglestone was proud to sponsor this lemon, as well as get our hands dirty to prep the car for race day. Our team helped weld the sunroof, remove rust, seal the antenna hole and did some on-site welding to reinforce the roll cage.

Our very own Carmen Sammauro was even one of the drivers.  His aggressive driving skills served him well on the track, earning him the team’s fastest lap time of 2:05. Despite getting the car on two wheels on numerous occasions he somehow walked away with only one penalty.

But the real winners of this race is Aidan’s Army, the charity the Boost4 lemon car was racing for this year.  Receiving 100% of the proceeds raised for the event, this memorial foundation is dedicated to the research and treatment of childhood cancers.

“It feels really good to work for a cause like this,” Carmen said. “Especially as a company, we’re able to let everyone know what we’re doing. It was something I had never heard about before this race. The more people you can talk about it with, the more people who know, it will bring light to the situation.”

For the second year in a row, Eaglestone Equipment is proud to sponsor the Boost4 lemon car that will be racing in “The 24 Hours of Lemons,” an endurance race for cars worth no more than $500.

Boost4, the fundraising division of Boost Marketing in Wheaton, IL, will again be raising funds for Aidan’s Army, a memorial foundation dedicated to the research and treatment of childhood cancers.  The foundation was started by the parents of Aidan Manning after he lost his battle with Medulloblastoma, a specific type of brain cancer, at the age of 3.

With 100% of the proceeds going directly to Aidan’s Army, we’re excited to cheer on the Boost4 team yet again as they race to surpass the more than $14,000 raised for last year’s event.
