noreply@blogger.com (http://pattaya.blogsome.com) — Sat, 11 Apr 2009 07:49:00 -0700

OK, so the latest course for affiliate marketing that caught my eye to earn money online and hopefully give you a cash boost is called Google Cash.

The first thing I wanted to decide was whether or not this money making course was upto scratch and actually useful. There has been a huge rise in expensive courses priced at $2000 or more so the first impressive thing is that Google Cash was offering anyone a free trial.

The approach Earn Google Cash is taking is very different and at least it gives someone the chance to decide whether it can work for them.

The idea behind this program is to teach any newcomer how to make money via Google with just relatively simple methods which does not involve setting up websites or having a business idea. In fact just about anyone can take part in it.

The information supplied and taught is just about as good as courses priced at $2000 plus and the techniques are fast easily learned and effective. I myself asked around and did some research to discover quite a number of people developing skills from Google Cash that were making themselves earn a second income and more..

For any newcomer or person who has had no luck with internet marketing, or never made much online I would definitely recommend Earn Google Cash. The main reason is that its a professional course as good as any but offers the chance to preview it free.

Actually, I tell a lie there is a slight charge to set up with Earn Google Cash but this is only a mere $1 which is totally refundable. This is just a small processing fee to get you started.

Get your free kit including all the insider secrets now from Google Cash and start learning how to earn online.

Google Cash - Learn Inside Secrets to Make Money Easily With Google

noreply@blogger.com (http://pattaya.blogsome.com) — Sat, 11 Apr 2009 07:47:00 -0700

Google has fast become the number one internet name for web search. For many Google is the basis to the web and its easy to understand why this is with the fame and financial power they possess.

What many do not realize is that with the correct knowledge anyone can easily learn how to use Google’s presence on the internet to earn cash themselves. Billions of dollars is constantly being traded through the internet, taking just a small slice of this huge internet pie could leave you very flush indeed.

Whilst the economy is in a state, jobs are declining and sometimes one could consider themselves lucky to even keep their job. Turning to Google working from home is probably one of the best opportunities you can resort to make money.

Now, you probably wonder how can you make money using Google. Well, in a nutshell it involves selling products and taking a cut in commission. Normally using Google’s advertising systems along with a few specially selected campaigns to advertise specific products. The best part about this style of marketing is that you do not need your own product and everything is done automatically.

There is more to this but its not hard to start up at all, provided you know how to. At the moment thousands are earning full time livings and have wealthy lifestyles taking advantage of Google with some good guidance.

Just like a plumber needs guidance on plumbing or a person needs instructions to construct a book shelf, you need a ‘course’ or kit to make money with Google. Don’t be fooled though, some of these courses can cost up to $2000.

A great new online opportunity has arose however and you can access a top quality course via a free trial. Google cash is developed by experts who have made themselves extremely wealthy using the methods they explain. Best of all it does not require much time to set up, just a couple of hours here and there will be enough to develop a significant income stream.

Google Cash can be accessed instantly through this Earn Money Online Blog. Here you will also find more information on this system. All that is required is a one time fully refundable activation fee of just under $2 to get you kit instantly.

ST. GEORGE - A local middle and elementary school received a bonus of $400 each Tuesday morning, in addition to the nearly $1,000 each earned through a box top drive, from General Mills representatives for their exceptional participation in the company's education program.

Rob Stevenson, principal from Little Valley Elementary, and Brian Stevenson, principal from Desert Hills Middle School, have been participating in the program for as long as the schools have been operating. Little Valley has been open for four years and Desert Hills Middle has been open for two years.

Box tops for education started in 1996. It's a program designed to help schools K-8 earn money by having students bring in the tops of boxes from participating products. The more box tops students bring in, the more points the school receives. In the end, the points turn into dollar signs for those who collect the most points.

Harmon's grocery store is a supporter and participant in this program in that it carries the products students need to buy to turn in to earn points.

"This has been a great program across the country," Don Fisher, a retail sales representative for General Mills, said. "Participation is good in this area (St. George) especially with PTA in elementary schools pushing it."

Rob Stevenson said his school participates because it's a way to bring in additional funds.

"The money will go toward additional level-reading books," he said.

Fisher awarded the two principals their money at Harmon's along with an extra $400 for their exceptional participation.

"We just expected to come here and take a picture, this is great," Rob Stevenson said.

Brian Stevenson said this year the students in the middle school really came together to earn the points.

"With the student council and home room competitions, the whole school came together to help the school," he said.

Rob Stevenson said even his students at the elementary school understand turning in box tops helps the school.

Both principals were very appreciative for the award but also the surprise bonus.

"I wish it (award money) was more but we do thousands of schools over the country," Fisher said.

Lyman Owens, grocery manager at Harmon's, said the store is proud to be a part of box tops for education.

"We work with General Mills, run ads with them and we donate box tops to schools we adopt," he said. "We enjoy it because it's nice to get the sales, but it's nice to help the schools."

Their role is to make money. That's what they're doing

WHO'S running the country? The Federal Government and the Reserve Bank, which sets monetary policy, or the banks, which this week ensured that little or none of the Reserve Bank's interest rate cut will reach its intended beneficiaries?

That's how millions of home owners might see it after most banks passed on just 10 points of the Reserve's 25-point cut in cash rates, while the National Australia Bank gave its customers nothing, instead seizing the opportunity to rebuild profit margins compressed by the global financial crisis.

Opposition Leader Malcolm Turnbull went on the attack yesterday, saying monetary policy doesn't work when the banks don't pass on rate cuts. "Rate cuts are only effective in stimulating the economy if they are passed on by banks," he said. "The banks are doing very, very well at the moment."

Treasurer Wayne Swan was apologetic, conceding the banks' conduct "does blunt the effectiveness of monetary policy". But he argued that previously nearly all the cuts had been passed on, and ruled out punishing the banks, leaving it to "the court of public opinion" to judge them.

One suspects it will. Two weeks ago, new NAB chief executive Cameron Clyne warned: "If the banks do not act to re-earn the respect of the community, we will end up in a more precarious position." He might prove himself right.

But the reality is more complex than the court of public opinion might realise. The banks get very little of their funds by borrowing from the Reserve Bank. A cut (or rise) in its overnight interest rate does little to change their costs.

Why it matters is that the banks use the cash rate as the base on which other interest rates are fixed, with different margins for their risk levels, maturities, security - and the extent of market competition.

NAB argues that roughly half its funding comes from wholesale financial markets, where the spreads they pay have risen sharply as the crisis has made lenders demand higher premiums for lending their money.

WordPress Traffic Plugin Suite

“At Last! Set It And Forget It Simplicity Comes to Wordpress!”
Three Brand New Plugins Just Released that Put Your Wordpress Blog on Autopilot!

Dear Fellow Blogger,

Remember when you started your first blog? Remember how excited you were? You’d post every day, sometimes several times a day and visit all the Social Bookmarking sites to make sure they knew about your posts.

You probably did this every day - for about a week or two. Then you’d go on to something else…perhaps another project that needed your attention, or you’d even create another blog.

In a very short time, you’d cut out visiting all those bookmarking sites. Days would go by and you’d forget to update your blog with any new content.

Those days turned into weeks. Weeks turned into months. Slowly but surely, the visitors - and the search engine spiders - simply stopped coming.

By that time, other things ate up all your spare time and demanded your attention. Meanwhile, your visitors were left hanging, only to guess, “Is it ever going to be updated again?”
Now You Can Stop Worrying About Updating Your Blog and Notifying the Social Bookmarking Sites Every Time You Make a Post

Believe me - I know what a drain it can be to blog. It consumes every minute of your day if you let it. Not to mention telling all the social bookmarking sites (and there are THOUSANDS of them!) that you made a new post.

Honestly, who has time for all that?!

Now, let me ask you something…

What If You Could Literally “Set-And-Forget” Your Blog for Months - Even Years, While
All the Posting and Promotion is
Done for You Automatically?

Socialengine 3.0.3 + Addons - Nulled by TrioxX

SocialEngine PHP Social Network Script - Build your own social network community!

What is SocialEngine?
SocialEngine is a PHP-based social network platform that lets you create a social network on your website. Right out of the box, your social network will offer nearly all of the features found on today's wildly popular social networks. Instead of hosting your social network on our servers, we give you complete control over your project by allowing you to download the source code and install it on your own server.

Why a platform?
We don't want you to create "turnkey" cookie-cutter social networks. We want your new social network to offer something unique. We call SocialEngine a "platform" because it instantly gives you a simple, unbranded network. This lets you get right to deploying your unique theme, social structure, or concept using our source code as a foundation.

What makes SocialEngine different?
SocialEngine is the only self-hosted social network platform that can truly give you the opportunity for explosive, viral growth. Other social network apps create social networks that look and work the same. SocialEngine's simple design lets you highlight your unique theme. We've gone to great lengths to make customizations easier, with detailed comments placed throughout the completely unencrypted source code. SocialEngine also includes advanced social features not found in other apps, like subnetworks, multiple possible friendship structures, and very comprehensive privacy settings.

Modules
This release comes with a hughe package of modules. Here's the list:

* Photo Album Plugin v3.02beta
This plugin gives your users their own personal photo albums. These albums can be configured to store photos, videos, or any other file types you choose to allow. Users can interact by commenting on each others photos and viewing their friends' recent updates.

* Event Plugin v3.00alpha
This plugin lets your users create events. Users can create private or public events, invite their friends, RSVP, browse each other's calendars, and much more. Events encourage users to expand their personal networks by establishing new connections.
* Group Plugin v3.00alpha
This plugin lets your users create their own groups. These groups encourage interactivity between users based on mutual interests and characteristics. Users can become leaders, create private groups, invite members, browse each other's memberships, and much more.

9 Ways to Increase Web Traffic

noreply@blogger.com (http://pattaya.blogsome.com) — Sun, 1 Mar 2009 17:42:00 -0800

There are many ways to increase web traffic; the most valuable of course is offering some ongoing and dynamic value such as blogs or online discussion that keep the same people coming back, but a host of other options exist including:

Search Engine Optimization

We’ve touched on this in previous chapters but “Search Engine
Optimization” or “SEO” as it is often referred to is a huge success for
many sites, and has even spawned a service industry in its own right
where people are getting paid to optimize your site and site
submissions to try and increase how well your site ranks on various
search engines. Ideally you should do this yourself by submitting to
various directories and using the tips and hints I’ve already mentioned but if you are ‘Internet Impaired’ it may be worth paying a consultant
to assist you.

List your site in Directories and Search Engines

There are many search engines and directories out there where you
can list your website for increased exposure. Some charge a fee while
others are free or low-cost but the important thing to remember is to
go through each one IN PERSON and optimize the data you provide
each to ensure the listing provides the best interface to your site as
possible.

Participate in Link Exchanges

A ‘link exchange’ refers to the act of having a URL or ‘hyperlink’ from
another site either on your page or another site pointing to pages on
your site. With Exchanges another webmaster will link to your site in
exchange for you linking to theirs – hopefully complimenting each
others sites.

Advertise your site via AdWords or other resources such as
banner ads

There are many advertising avenues out there to get your website
increased recognition, the simplest of course link exchanges and wordof-
mouth, but paid methods such as using Google’s AdWords program
to pop up a link to your site when certain keywords are entered into
search engines is a very effective way to increase traffic to your sites.
From the vendor side it works like this: you bid (or offer) an amount
that you will pay for a list of keywords used when people query.
Depending on your bid and the maximum daily expenditure settings
you specify (the largest amount of payout you are willing to do on any
given day) your ad shows and you’re charged for each user who “clicks
through” the ad to your site.

Get published on other sites

The Internet is a wide place and a lot of people are out there every
day so try to participate in other sites with a similar interest to yours
and post articles and stories – be sure to include a link or reference to
your web site and viola! Free advertising!

Request Reviews from magazines and online webmasters

Many other sites have a link or ‘rating’ page where you can ask them
to provide feedback and suggestions on your page and its content –
doing so will often not only gather additional interest and visibility but
can help you to tweak your site and improve it to better meet your
needs.

Post in chat rooms and on blogs

Just as with posting articles using chat and blog entries to promote
your site is a good ‘semi-permanent’ way to get your website address
out there before the public.

Give away free gifts and hold contests

This is actually a variation of the customer rewards program idea – by
holding a contest, say a $100 grand prize eBook contest where you get the rights to all submitted eBooks and the winner gets $100 you can
generate traffic and often get other benefits. Ideas include ‘help
create a logo’ or ‘closes predictions for the upcoming election’ …
anything you can think of can be pressed into service in fact!

Join local business organizations

An often overlooked benefit of any community is the local businesses
and merchants as well as the Better Business Bureau. Being a
member can not only let your fellow businesses be aware of you and
your site, but can also introduce you to new concepts and tools you
can use to increase both your visibility and profitability.

SEO Hints You Can’t Live Without

noreply@blogger.com (http://pattaya.blogsome.com) — Sun, 1 Mar 2009 17:34:00 -0800

by Simon M Skinner

Search engine optimization; also known as SEO is incredibly important to the success of your website. If you are new to the world of web based business, you may still be a bit confused about what exactly SEO is. There are several things which you need to do as a site owner to make the most of search engine optimization ? the following are the five most important things which you must do for your site in terms of search engine optimization.

#1 ? Learn as much as possible about SEO. This is important. There is a lot to know and there are a number of good resources out there which can get you started in your search engine marketing efforts. Read up and you’ll be well prepared to make the most of search engine marketing.

#2 ? Find the right tool for the job. You have a lot of choices when it comes to search engine optimization and some will better meet your needs than others. You should definitely make use of these tools ? you’ll save yourself a lot of time in the process. Evaluate some of the SEO tools out there and use them as you build your site. You’ll have an easier time getting into the Google top 10 if you build your site with SEO in mind.

#3 ? Use keywords in your URL. Search engines give a lot of weight to your URL, so use your primary keyword sin your URL if you can. Don’t overdo things and make your URL a convoluted, hard to remember mess though. Additionally, as you build links between your pages, use hyphens, not underscores ? these will be seen as spaces by search engines.

#4 ? Research your keywords before you build your site. Use the best possible keywords to build your site around. There are keyword research tools which can make this an easy process; find the best keywords to reach your niche and use them from the ground up; you don’t want to have to go back and change things later.

#5 ? Use Pay Per Click Ads to drive traffic. Pay Per Click ads are one of the best ways to bring in traffic to your website as you get started. Google AdWords is probably the best PPC provider to try, this has the widest possible audience and is well worth the cost. Pay Per Click ads provide a cost effective way to bring in traffic quickly and are well worth your time and money to use as you seek to raise the profile of your new website.

How To Make “Fast Money” Online

noreply@blogger.com (http://pattaya.blogsome.com) — Sun, 1 Mar 2009 17:33:00 -0800

Do you worry about your personal expenses? Are you having difficulty financing different things?

What if someone offers you an opportunity to earn money in just a snap of a finger? Everybody would love to earn money without exerting too much effort.

For some people, the internet is just a bunch of technology maniacs. But this is absoluteley wrong. The internet produced more millionaires in the past decade than any other industry.

Only few internet millionaires are known, most are anonymous “millionaires”. Ranging from different products and services that they offered online, these millionaires just used their willingness and determination to earn fast money.

If you are still unconvinced, here are some of the ways that you can earn fast money online.

Online Auctions

Participate in online auctions. With these online auctions, you can easily turn any of your unwanted items into profit. Aside from getting profit, your potential buyers will also benefit from it because they can buy cheap yet quality products.

Reading E-mails

Another way of earning money online is being paid for reading e-mails. There are different sites that pay for doing it. Average payout is about 5 cents per e-mail.

Answering Online Surveys

There are tons of paid survey sites on the internet. All you have to do is answer online surveys and submit them. By just filling out one form, you earn additional dollars for your savings. Though not a definite source of income, you can earn fast money from as low as $1 to as much as $250 in just a few minutes by answering survey questions.

Affiliate Marketing

There are thousands of affiliate programs on the internet. Affiliate programs are advertising programs offering a monetary incentive for webmasters to drive traffic to the advertiser’s website. This eliminates the necessity for the advertiser to find websites with related content to list their banners or links. So if you are the webmaster of a site dealing with books reviews, join amazon’s affiliate program and earn money whenever someone buys a book at amazon arriving from your website.

Pay-Per-Click Ads

With online pay per click advertisements, you can easily earn fast money. There are various companies offering pay per click ads e.g. Google’s Adwords or Overture. All you need to do is choose a product you want to promote, write an ad, determine which keywords will be used by potential clients, set your pay per click pricing and wait for the sales to come in.

Making money online is growing fast. But why is is becoming more and more popular?

• By doing online business your market is the whole world. Since the internet is not just here in the United States but also in all other parts of the world you have potential clients from all over the world..

• You are earning fast money from the comfort of your home. Just think about working 3 hours or less per day! It’s absolutely possible. Imagine going on vacation and at the same time making money. Isn’t that a lifestyle everyone would like to have?

The possibilities are endless. Just utilize your internet connection and personal computers and start earning money fast!

3 Easy Ideas To Make Money Online

noreply@blogger.com (http://pattaya.blogsome.com) — Sun, 1 Mar 2009 17:30:00 -0800

Is it really possible to make easy money online? Of course, there are ways for making easy money online. I'll explain exactly how you can cash in on three relatively easy money making ideas. In each one of the three money making ideas I'm about to reveal to you, there is a learning curve involved. You need to spend time and effort learning about certain skills and acquire necessary knowledge before you can use these techniques. If you're prepared to spend time and learn exactly what you need to know, you'll probably find yourself making money online in very short time.

These are just three relatively fast and easy money making ideas. There are also a lot of other ways. Just do a web search on one of the top search engines using a phrase like "easy money online", "making easy money" or "easy money making" and you are bound to find a lot more ideas how to make money online. Okay, so lets get to the point, what are these three money making ideas?

1. Affiliate Marketing

The first idea that we will talk about to make easy money online is through affiliate marketing. This involves referring customers to someone else's products or services in return for a commission. You can join networks of merchants all willing to pay you commission for referring customers to them (affiliate networks) and use advertising and other techniques to promote merchants' products or services to your customers. To get customers, one of the quickest and easiest ways is to advertise on search engines (Pay Per Click). With Pay Per Click advertisement you direct people who click on your ad to either your website or directly to the merchant's website.

2. Buying and Parking Domain Names

Buying and parking domain names is one of the very best money making ideas on the internet. The way this works is you buy a domain name, typically an expired domain name that still receives traffic and point that domain name to a webpage provided by a "domain parking company". Their webpage will feature text ads and other forms of paid advertisement so that every time someone clicks on them, you receive a share of the per- click revenue. The parking company gets their share as well. All you need to is to learn how to choose the right domain names and how to optimize parked web pages. This is definitely a great way for making money online.

3. Freelancing

You can make money relatively quickly by offering freelance services. Whether you're good at software programming, writing, data entry or web design, there are generally always companies looking for people to help them. In this case you don't need a website at all. You just need to find someone looking for help and convince them that you're the right person for the job. While the major freelance websites have traditionally been geared towards web design, graphic design, computer programming, and writing, more and more jobs requiring other skills are being posted daily.

Internet Marketer Gets $87 Million in Google Pay-Per-Click Ads FREE!

noreply@blogger.com (http://pattaya.blogsome.com) — Sun, 1 Mar 2009 17:15:00 -0800

Internet Marketer Gets $87 Million in Google Pay-Per-Click Ads FREE! …
And Makes Over $314 Million as a Result! …
And Now He’s Going to Give You This Same Secret for Next to Nothing!”

“Everyday Google sells several $10 million’s in pay-per-clicks. But
I get all mine absolutely FREE – and now I am going to show you
how to get yours FREE also!”

That’s right – Start Sharing in the *Incredible* Secret So Few Others Know About that Allow Them to Actually Get All Their Pay-Per-Click Advertising Absolutely FREE!

Fast facts about this amazing NEW SECRET!…

This is an incredible system developed by none other than Dr Jon Cohen, MD (retired) who found a little-known “twist” in how to use the pay-per-click (PPC) and paid-for targeted advertising programs at Google™ and the other search engines.

Dr Jon has personally used this to:

Eliminate over $87 million in otherwise paid-for and PPC ads at Google™ and other search engines over the course of about 9 years now!
Generate over $314 million in product sales as a result of this incredible savings!
Acquire a personal wealth of more than $68 million! (Net)
Start and develop 16 online ventures of his own.
Has coached “live” where he taught others this same amazing formula - including 198 executives from major Fortune 500 and FortuneSM 1000 companies, 14 representatives of publicly-traded companies on the New York Stock ExchangeSM (NYSE), 82 more on the NASDAQ®, 5 members of investment houses on the American Stock ExchangeSM (AMEX), as well as at least one former US Congressman (now retired also) who now stays at home and runs a home-based online family business, among countless others.
This system has nothing to do with Google “vouchers” or “AdWords™ credits.”

Also, it has nothing to do with adding any special magical “code” or “script” to your website that will bar Google and other search engines from being able to bill you.

Instead, Dr Jon’s system is very unique to say the least, and allows for the elimination of advertisers having to suffer the burden of costs of their Google and otherwise paid-for search engine advertising expenses!

It can even create many additional streams of income flooding money directly into your pocket very quickly!

Above all, it’s unlike anything you’ve ever seen!…

Wednesday, 9:35 a.m.

Dear Friend,

I hope you hate spending money on all your Google™ pay-per-click advertising, because if you do you’re in luck!

Finally, after many years of getting ALL my PPCs at Google, Yahoo, MSN and literally 100’s of other TOP Search Engines for FREE, I’m finally ready to let YOU in on “MY” most closely-guarded secret!

The FACT is: I’ve been advertising on Google (the world’s TOP search engine!) as well as on Yahoo, MSN and literally 100’s of others WITHOUT spending any money!

>> I’ve literally enjoyed over $12 million a
year in Google advertising alone (but all
absolutely FREE!)

And BEST of all, I’m NOT lying (I really do get literally $millions$ in FREE advertising each & every year at ALL the TOP Search Engines!)

And *MY* secret has made me very, very, AMAZINGLY RICH!

But the ironic thing is: It wouldn’t surprise me if you’ve never even heard of me!

… and I don’t really care either.

I’m not one of the more popular well-known Internet gurus who loves rubbing his name in your face over and over again! (I mean, who cares who they are, or who I am? — We are all just people regardless of how well-known or rich we become, right?)

I have personally owned and operated 16 different Web-Businesses over the last 9 years (since the mid-1990’s) and have sold EVERYTHING you can imagine!

Yes, I’ve even done the whole “eBay” thing!

I’ve now built well over a dozen Internet-based firms that specialize in selling everything from women’s cosmetics, men & women’s clothing, electronic publishing (i.e., ebooks), hardcopy publishing (real “tangible” books), special industrial machinery, building supplies, pet food & pet supplies/toys, children & adult games, DVDs/CDs, Subscriptions, all the way to Memberships Sites (with recurring billing!)

Plus a lot of other things too!

And in selling all these things with all these Web-businesses I’ve owned, I’ve NEVER paid for any advertising whatsoever!

>> I learned an amazing secret very early on
that allows me to advertise on TOP Search
Engines, but WITHOUT spending any money on
pay-per-clicks!

You see, the BEST part of having my secret in YOUR possession is this: You NEVER have to worry how expensive all your PPC-advertising is because quite simply, IT DOESN’T MATTER!

Should You Write PPC Ads For Landing Pages With High SERP Rankings?

noreply@blogger.com (http://pattaya.blogsome.com) — Sun, 1 Mar 2009 17:12:00 -0800

You’ve got a landing page that ranks in the top 3 position for several keyword phrases. Should you use pay per click advertising to drive targeted traffic to that landing page. Won’t you be throwing away good advertising dollars by doing so? No, not really. Here’s why:

Studies show that people are more likely to click on the organic listing is there is an associated PPC ad on the same page. In people’s minds, that translates to more credibility. The fact that you are willing to pay for the click means that you are serious about attracting business and that you have something valuable to offer.

On any given day, 80% of the search market will click on the organic listing. 20% will click on the PPC ad. If you don’t have a PPC ad then you lose your opportunity to reach that 20%. They will click on a competitor’s ad. But advertisers who target their market through both organic search and PPC tend to achieve higher click-throughs on both so your average CTR on the organic listing may actually go up to 82% or 83% and your CTR may go above 20%. At any rate, whatever they were before you launch your ad, it is likely that afterward you will see higher CTRs in both your organic listings and your PPC listings even if higher means industry average.

I’d say it’s a qualified Yes! Advertising with pay per click for landing pages and keywords that are already doing well in organic searches will only make you more effective in reaching your target market.

How to hire a web and SEO person

noreply@blogger.com (http://pattaya.blogsome.com) — Sun, 1 Mar 2009 17:09:00 -0800

If the internet is anything, it is a haven for scam artists, crooks and losers. If you are a practicing attorney, you are a prime target. But you probably already know that based on the obscene number of cold calls you get from "web experts" attempting to sell you placement on the top search engines. They hock linking scams, search engine "optimization," pay-per-click management, and anything else that sounds technical and like it will give you the edge.

The problem is that most of these cold-callers don't know what they are talking about, and some of their plans would even hurt, if not completely destroy your web presence.

An example from my own practice: In 2003 I hired a company that cold-called my office. I was very busy at the time, and the salesperson talked a good game. I trusted them with my website and a $5,000 fee to optimize it. After about 2 weeks I started to notice inconsistencies between their rhetoric and their product. After about 4 weeks I knew something was wrong. I started to examine the code in my site and realized that they had employed unethical "black hat" search engine tactics with such brazen openness and frequency that it would set off alarm bells to anybody remotely familiar with how search engines work.

That night I stayed up all night removing the offensive code. And I was lucky. I did it not a moment too soon because within the next couple of days this company's other customers who hadn't realized what was going on got delisted (banned) from the top search engine at the time. The company ended up getting sued, and it is my understanding that the principals of that company are not operating another scam under a different name. They may have even called your office today.

This story leads me to my main point, which is that you need to be highly aware in order to make an intelligent decision. Think of your clients. If you are an excellent DUI lawyer who gives potential clients correct and honest information and who counsels in their best interest even before they hire you, who do your clients tend to be? They tend to be educated, affluent and realistic sorts. On the other hand, if you are a dumptruck DUI lawyer or run a DUI mill and claim to be the best without any substance to back it up, what sort of clientele do you attract? Probably the lesser educated ones or the ones who want to bury their heads in the sand and then blame you for their problems?

You want to be like the first type of client described in the paragraph above. You need to educate yourself on the basics of internet marketing for lawyers before you can have any kind of meaningful conversation with any potential "web guy." You need to realize right now that most people selling internet marketing are essentially selling nothing at all and trying to make it sound good. Come to terms right now with the fact that if you hear and believe what you want to hear, that you will be taken advantage of by an internet predator.

Go to Amazon.com and buy a book or two about how Google, Yahoo, MSN and other search engines work. Make yourself literate on the subject by reading blogs about it. SearchEngineWatch.com provides great information on the subject as well. The more you know the better able you will be to weed out the rats, and you will find that there are far more rats than honest web services providers.

Never, I repeat NEVER sign a contract that obligates you to pay for ongoing monthly service without an ability to get out if your web guy is not performing. The good ones are not worried about holding you captive because good internet marketing is essential to the survival of any service based business these days.

The best way to evaluate a web person, especially in terms of the results that can be produced, is to look at that person's own web page. Does it come up well in the search engines? Does it have a lot of websites linking back to it? Is the content fresh? Is the site usable and easy to figure out? If the answer to any of these questions is "no," then your potential web guy sucks. Would you be concerned if your dentist's teeth were rotting out of her face? Of course you would. Would you hire a DUI lawyer who has to get work release from jail on a DUI charge in order to represent you in court? Of course not. My point is that if the web person can't even deliver what they promise you to their own business, then don't expect anything different for your business.

If you are hiring somebody to do organic search engine optimization, why would you even think of choosing somebody from a pay-per-click ad? If the sales pitch from a cold caller is that if you hire him your phone will ring off the hook from all the people that find you online, your response should be something like "then why is my phone ringing off the hook from guys like you? I've been looking for a good website marketing person and I didn't find you. How come?"

True Story: A guy called me trying to sell me the top local spot on Google for the keyword of my city and "DUI Lawyer." He obviously hadn't done his homework because I already had the top spot. When I asked him why I should pay him to get me someplace I already was he hung up on me. A few minutes later the phone rang again. My paralegal asked me if she should put the call through. Out of morbid curiosity, I accepted the call. He introduced himself again and asked "um, how did you get to the top spot?" I said "you called me to try to sell it to me, I assume you know." He admitted that he didn't, and I politely ended the conversation.

My point is that just because somebody says they know what they are doing doesn't make it so. Stock brokers and financial advisers love to prey on doctors, but marketing scammers like to prey on lawyers. Educate yourself, think through your strategy and selection, and you will find the right internet marketing person and quickly rise above your competitors who go with the scammers.

Small law firms benefiting from pay per click

noreply@blogger.com (http://pattaya.blogsome.com) — Sun, 1 Mar 2009 17:06:00 -0800

A number of organizations are using search engine marketing techniques to help steer customers toward websites and it appears some small law firms may benefit from pay per click campaigns.

According to The Recorder, San Francisco-based law firm The Veen Firm, noticed a 20 to 30 percent drop in cold calls last year. Managing attorney Miles Cooper said the company said it needed to make a change to generate more business, which is when they started pay per click.

"It was a philosophical jump for us," Cooper told the magazine. "We thought of ourselves as one of the more prominent firms in the city, not a 1-800 ambulance firm. ... But we need to make sure that our names are out there."

So far he says the campaign is working with the firm getting more targeted calls of people responding to specific ads.

The news provider says the Veen Firm is just one of a number of law firms that have benefited from the use of pay per click.

As the economy continues to sag, more companies say that while they intend on cutting back on traditional marketing, their online marketing budgets are expected to rise though 2009

The above is the twice weekly payment I received from SponsoredReviews .com. So far, I can count myself lucky with SponsoredReviews .com because I have a constant supplies of assignments to review.

Why I get assignments from SponsoredReviews ?

1) I have many blogs in different categories;

2) SponsoredReviews advertisers are usually concentrated on travel, women, parenting and food industries and these are very huge industries, in case you do not know.

3) I am one dead persistent, pesky blogger who never give up. I login twice a day, bid and counter-bid;

5) My blogs template are decently presentable (ok, very impressive actually) and attractive to advertisers;

6) My blogs’ topics are mostly niche and I write very well;

7) I am one lucky blogger;

What I like about SponsoredReviews ;

1) The ability to check out advertisers before I offer to write for them and set my own price;

2) The thrills of telling advertisers who want to pay me USD5 (and I only get USD3.25) for 300 words on a PR4/10 to go fly kite; (ok, not really but I do get to decline and it is empowering)

3) The quality of their advertisers; (well so far, so good, no sleazy sites)

4) The ease of moving around their dashboard;

5) No frustrations of fighting with other people to grab an opp aka no stress;

6) Payout is good as I usually get between USD15 to USD50 per assignment; (my lowest price on my blogspot blog is USD20)

But I wish SponsoredReviews will give me some referral. This is a good way to create publicity and also draw more advertisers to them.

Tip for the day : AVOID doing SEO companies reviews if you are at their mercy with bans and benches। You know what I mean? These are the most pain-in-the-ars* advertisers because they think they are kings and will be very critical of our reviews. Sometimes I feel like telling them, “Hey, take this five bucks and the door is over there.”

Yuwie’s Top 10 Questions

Q: How much can I make? A: We can’t say exactly, but here’s an example of what could happen. The chart below assumes you refer 3 people, and those 3 people refer 3, then those refer 3, through 10 levels, and each referral gets 1000 page views for the month, and the month’s RSR is $0.50.

Results are not guaranteed. This is just an example of what could happen. Please see terms for full details.
