What is Adsense, and why do I need an account?
Adsense is an advertising program by Google. Xomba places Adsense ads on your articles, and when visitors click on those ads, Xomba gets paid a little bit of money. But when you get an Adsense account and connect it to your Xomba account, visitors start to see your ads, and you get paid when they click on them!

That's how Xomba's revenue-sharing system works. You plug your Adsense ID into your Xomba profile, and visitors to your posts will see your ads 60% of the time and Xomba's ads the other 40% of the time. This way, Xomba is effectively splitting the revenue from the Adsense ads 60/40 with you.

But before all that... You have to have an Adsense account! Getting one isn't difficult, but we have step-by-step instructions for you right here, just in case! There are three basic steps: submitting an Adsense application, waiting for Google to approve your application, and then plugging your Adsense ID into your Xomba profile.

Step 1: Submitting an Adsense Application.

Ah, waiting. Who likes it? There's one more thing you need to do before you're really good to go, though... Head to your Xomba profile page.
1. Click "Edit" above your profile.

2. Click the box that says "Personal Information." It will show up under "Edit."

3. In the "Bio:" section of "Personal Information," add the text "This post confirms my ownership of the site and that this site adheres to Google AdSense program policies and Terms and Conditions." This text shows Google that your profile belongs to you and makes Google more likely to approve your application the first time around. You can remove this text after your application is approved.

At this point, all you can do is wait for Google to respond. They can respond to applications in as little as an hour and as much as one week. Just because you're waiting for Google to answer you doesn't mean you can't start getting involved on Xomba, though! You can start reading, commenting and making friends!
Step 3: Connect your Adsense account to Xomba.
So Google finally got back to you... If they approved your application, congratulations! You can now connect your Adsense account to your Xomba account and start earning money on your content!

The reason I do not like this advertising method is, our visitors do not have an option not to listen this ad once the page loads. 47. Selling your blog
This is a good way to make money especially when there are recent reports of some blogs being sold for a price tag of over one million dollars.

It is obvious that you should have a high quality blog site if you are to sell it for a good price. That is why I prefer keeping them once they reach that status. If you wish to sell your blog once it reaches a certain level, you can put it for sale at Digital point forum or at sitepoint market place.

Paypal Rules Changed [Bad news for indians]

Although this news is few days old,I think it will helpful to people who don't know still about this.If you have a Indian Paypal account and have been using it to receive money from advertisers,clients,.. this will be a really bad news for you.

With effect from 1 March 2011, you are required to comply with the requirements set out in the notification of the Reserve Bank of India governing the processing and settlement of export-related receipts facilitated by online payment gateways (“RBI Guidelines”).

In order to comply with the RBI Guidelines, our user agreement in India will be amended for the following services as follows:

Any balance in and all future payments into your PayPal account may not be used to buy goods or services.
Any balance in and all future payments into your PayPal account must be transferred to your bank account in India within 7 days from the receipt of confirmation from the buyer in respect of the goods or services.
Export-related payments for goods and services into your PayPal account may not exceed US$500 per transaction.

As an exporter of goods, you may withdraw the balance to your bank account in India upon reasonable consideration of shipping time and other clearances such as excise and customs for the destination country. As an exporter of services, you may withdraw the balance to your bank account in India upon receipt of payment from your buyer into your PayPal account.

How to receive money from PayPal for send only accounts

In certain countries you can only send money using PayPal , but you can't receive money using PayPal. Unfortunately Sri Lanka , which is where I'm from is a country like that . This is one of the most frequent questions I get from my Sri Lankan visitors so I decided to
write this short post to show you a work around for this. This method do have its limitations but by far this is the best work around I found so far. If you are from a PayPal send only country and know of a better way to receive money while using PayPal please feel free to share it in the comment section. You can check out few other PayPal send only solutions.

Create a PayPal account in a country where you can receive money , For example my account is an Indian account.Now you can receive money to your account so get all the money owed to your to that account.Now comes the tricky question of withdrawing money from your PayPal account .
Now go to My Account Tab and in the relevant sub section click Withdraw .
There you are given 3 methods to withdraw , withdraw funds to your bank account is not possible since you do not have a bank account in India.
That leaves you with receiving a check from PayPal or Withdraw funds to your cards. Personally I haven't tried the check option and usually it takes time to clear and deposit checks so I use the withdraw funds to your card option.
There you have to add a card first , click the Add Card link and you will be taken to a form where you can add the card.
After adding the card you can specify the amount you wish to withdraw , select the card and press continue button.
You will be charged a 5$ withdrawal fee for this so better to wait till the funds add up a bit before withdrawing .

Recently PayPal has done some changes and it is not possible to receive money via credit and debit cards in those countries. PayPal is not the only online payment service out there feel free to check out my article about PayPal alternatives. If you still want to withdraw your money using PayPal then you can check out PayPal in different countries. For example with PayPal Brazil you can still withdraw to your credit card.

Once you can complete this transfer and have at least $2.40 in your rental balance rent another 3 referrals.
12. Continue this process until you are making a $1 a day in your account balance.
13. At this point you can begin renting in bigger chunks of referrals every 7 days. Never rent a number of referrals that is greater than 33% of your existing totals as these will become difficult to manage through recycling with your earnings.
14. It will take a while but continue the above listed process until you reach 500 referrals. At this point stop renting and just maintain your referrals.
15. Accumulate the earnings until you can pay for the upgrade to golden.
16. Once golden, maintain your referrals as before. Every week continue to rent referrals until you hit the 2000 refs mark.
