A true gem in our community, Old Town Lansing is home to a wealth of galleries, shops, cafes, and boutiques.

Every year the Old Town Community Association recruits volunteers to assist with Spring cleanup.

This year, Earth Day Lansing is partnering with the OTCA to cleanup the neighborhood, river banks, shopping district, and parks. Volunteers are needed April 22 and April 23 to participate in a variety of projects including waste pickup, recycling, painting, and planting.

Please go to our volunteer page and sign-up for a shift – volunteers giving 4 or more hours of service will be given 1/2-off tickets to Friday night’s comedy event at the Temple building.

Volunteers Needed! Come join Earth Day Lansing & The Old Town Commercial Association as we spend two days working on a variety of service projects in Old Town Lansing.  We will be cleaning up the neighborhood, painting new murals, working on the riverbanks, planning and prepping community gardens and distributing 500 Michigan White-Pine seedlings to Lansing residents. We will also be hosting recycling drives for plastic, glass, aluminum, electronics, cellphones, batteries as well as a clothing drive and food drive to support Goodwill Industries and The Greater Lansing Food Bank.
