Hey seekers long time no post, Happy New Year, well 2010 was a year of contemplation really, and now a relaxing into the moment. To be at one with the now is just to accept whatever occurs in the now without trying or wishing to change it, this puts space around you, when you do not fight life, life does not fight you. I knew this long ago but only recently put it into practice on a daily basis and wow!
Resistance to anything keeps the thing alive, surrender to everything as it appears is the key to happiness and knowing your true self.

New Beginnings

It's been a while since I posted but I'm still here.
After the glimpse of my true nature and the subsequent return to separation I realise I had become intensely depressed. I was desperate to get back the feeling of being everything I perceived, to the extent of not caring about anything else.
My ego had kicked in again and proclaimed to all who would listen that I was now Enlightened, although I was behaving anything but that.
Then it was like the World said to me "Ok you think your enlightened, take this."
The woman I had partnered and loved for nearly eight years declared her love for another and left. Well I didn't really know what attachment was until that moment, deep, intense suffering followed which I could easily describe as Hell.
My instant reaction was to blame my search for Enlightenment as the catalyst for her leaving me and renounce all spiritual practice, but as the dust settled I realised I was not being true to myself, I knew deep within that this had to happen and in fact I had made it happen for my own spiritual growth.
To avoid the suffering I entered the moment, it was my refuge, in the moment the past and future vanished and with them the suffering.
To be in the moment is like riding a bicycle, the more you do it the easier and more natural it becomes, fears for the future vanish and are replaced by an excitement Now, life is more real without the abstraction of thought processes covering your actual reality and although it is not the state of seeing all things as yourself I had experienced previously, it didn't have to be because life and me were now inseparable!

Through suffering as humans we experience being, I had witnessed this first hand and a question arose in my mind, is this the evolution of mankind, from a consciousness run by mind to a consciousness detached for the most part from mind. A simple leap which engages the flow of life without fighting it, a tree still grows perfectly without using a mind.
What with the credit crunch, wars, disasters, global warming etc etc, is the world causing human suffering for one reason, to wake us from the dream of mind to real life, that of spirit?
The old way seems to be putting up a fight but the harder we're pushed by suffering the more of us awaken to the one true life, then suffering ends, this is not an instant end to suffering more of a gradual shift as we learn to stay focused Now.

Then I thought about 2012 and the end of the long count in the mayan calendar, I had heared it refered to as the end of time! Sounds frightening at first but when in the moment or Now there is no time only Now. Is this gradual shift taking place, gaining momentum over the next three years to a time where there is no time only Now, the jump of human consciousness, will it be like the 100 monkey syndrome ?

Nothing needs to change just our perspective, our level of consciousness but things will change until that is met I feel.

The best thing is that none of this will even concern you when your focused in the moment so save yourself some suffering and loose some thought processes but if you need suffering that's what you'll probably get.

Ok I admit it I watch heroes, if you too watched S3E24 "I am Syler" and the season finale S3E25 "An invisible thread", you may have noticed Truth being spoken at the end of each show.
In I am Syler Saresh narrates.
"For every being cursed with self awareness there remains the unanswerable question, Who am I?
We struggle to find meaningful connections to one another, we are the caring friend, the loving father, the doting mother, the protected child, we fight and we love in the hope that somehow together we can understand our significance in the universe, but in the end no one can share our burden.
Each of us alone must answer the question Who AM I?
What does it mean to be alive?
And in the vast infinity of time how do I matter?"

The audience is directed to self inquiry, the most potent self realization method.

In the season finale we get a bit more wisdom.

"There are nearly seven billion people on this planet.
Each one, unique, different.
What are the chances of that? And why?
Is it simply biology,
Physiology that determines this diversity?
A collection of thoughts, memories,
Experiences that carve out our own special place?
Or is it something more than this?

Look at the series logo above, the eye of providence, the all seeing eye, the one eye we all ultimately look out from, the point of view is shifting as I mentioned before from dualistic to non-dualistic, the ultimate point of view, that of the Absolute.

Hello seekers, I too have found myself seeking again, trying to get back the Oneness which we all are. It occurred to my mind that the actual trying to get back the enlightenment experience was the thing stopping truth from flowing through me.
I found I was again listening to teachers and pointing in a vain attempt to recapture the enlightenment experience. My work schedule also seemed to hamper efforts, my mind once again focused on work and paying the bills instead of realization of truth.
I am pretty successful at not getting too involved with the drama of life though and I tend not to relive old dramas from the story of my life, I notice in many of my friends who seem to be so constantly in the past, re-telling past experiences that they miss the present.
During this seeking I've come across some teachings which suggest various stages of enlightenment and give them names or level 1,2,3 etc. This immediately appeared absurd because during my glimpses of the Absolute, I was the Absolute, indeed I AM the Absolute.
These stages must be appearing in the mind of the teacher after an Enlightenment experience not a direct knowing from the Absolute.
I understand that an enlightenment experience doesn't make the individual enlightened because there is only an individual within duality. The perceived individual may for a moment realize the non-duality of all things which is without doubt life changing to the mind of the individual which had always believed it was a separate entity among many entities.
After the experience has passed and mind whirs into action again duality and separation reappear, the illusion takes hold again and it is the mind which is fighting to get back the non-dualistic point of view and ego wants to be Enlightened because "Enlightened people are special", you know like Jesus or Buddha, the individual mind wants to be a God, the greatest goal of the ego. This happens all too often, gurus appear with a new way to achieve enlightenment and while they may speak much truth there is a deep flaw at the heart of them, they speak from mind and not from Consciousness, the ego wants money and fame and it uses the promise of enlightenment to get it.
But, and this is a big but so to speak, that is fine, there is nothing wrong with that.
From a dualistic perception there is something wrong or right with pretty much everything but we are dropping that paradigm now, we are switching our point of view from dualistic to non-dualistic, our awareness is expanding to include the whole as a single point of view.
There is no wrong and no right only what is, what is is happening within the Absolute, no mistakes are ever made, surrender your self to this to be your true Self.

Total acceptance and doing the obvious

I have not been moved to post much recently but I'm still alive and kicking!
I've been practicing total acceptance of all things and situations in my daily life and gradually the personal me seems to be dissolving, almost like an emptying of my interior.
Decisions are not as before, mind is not as involved, if a choice has to be made, the obvious route is taken.
I have given up trying to know everything as there is nothing really to know and there is no one to know ultimately.
Mind is much quieter and the world has come alive, vibrant, blissful and exactly as it should be.

I'm just touching base with you guys and will do a proper post when I am able to put some of the realizations I have had into words, if that is possible.
I kinda feel like a caterpillar must feel just before turning into a butterfly, a cliche I know but it best describes the sensation.
