I love the dual energies I feel at this time of year.

It’s a time of harvest.  A time of recognizing and giving gratitude for the abundance gathered over months of inspired growing time.
And it’s a time of winding down as we allow ourselves into the womb of winter.
A time of preparing to go inside until the light is renewed and another cycle of rebirth is upon us.

Nature truly gives us all the wisdom we could hope for.  She knows without question what to do next.  She is the perfect example of allowance.  She just flows.  If something outside of her realm of influence attempts to disrupt her…she shakes it off…she self corrects.

Through nature we find ourselves.  We are nature in human form.  The same vibration that created her is that of us.  We are energy.  Alive.  Pulsing.  Enlivened by the very pulse of the planet.

Nature’s Gateway

In my world, Nature is one of the most magical gateways to our Brilliance.

If ever we feel unsure, shaken, unaware, out of touch with who we are in our purest form…Nature is the Gateway to finding our way home…to our Brilliance, to all that we are.

Most of us have created lives that lead us away from nature.  We create boxes; we exist indoors.  We have multi-level buildings that give rise to our feet from the grounded connection they so love to feel on the earth.  We turn on another box to watch nature…through the lens of another.  Our lives are busy.  We don’t have time to play outside.

My life got as much like that as I’d ever let it.  And then we moved to Kauai where even when you’re indoors you feel the harmony and oneness of nature breathing through the space.  I am forever in appreciation for our blessed union with Kauai.

She gifted us with the Gateway home.

Once we understand the significance of Nature in our lives; once we’ve crossed the threshold of that gateway…we are FREE.

Have you found your Gateway?  There are many…and they’re free, and available to everyone…no matter where you are on the planet!

A Good Sit Spot

On Kauai, we’d often encourage the children in our homeschool community to give themselves a quiet sit spot in nature.  We’d ask them to just be with it…to quietly watch and observe…and later we’d talk about their findings.  Kids are close to nature, so this is easy for them and they always had magical things to report.

As I sit today…with the tree spirits just outside my door…I am aware of these things:

• I am nurtured by the grace of nature.  She fills me up.
• I sit, observe, feel, smell, listen, taste…  I drink her in.
• I recognize the simple beauty…and the intricate details.
• Breathing, nourishing, nurturing…
• Constant BEingness, in complete grace and ease.

The tree doesn’t ask, “What should I do today?”  He just stands in his knowing.  He doesn’t wonder who he is.  He’s good at being a tree.  He accepts himself for who he is.    He doesn’t bend over some days and say, “nope, not today…I’m just not going to show up today…can’t do it.”  He stands in his Brilliance, in his Power and he is Tree.

• I see movement, flexibility~
• …bending, swaying, dancing…and yet rooted, solid, grounded.

Trust the Cycles

I trust the cycles~
…Birth…Death…Rebirth

Tree doesn’t say, “no, no, no…I’m not ready!!  I can’t be time.  How is it possible?  I’m just not ready.  I don’t want it to be fall.  Please!!  I don’t want to lose my leaves!!

Instead, she accepts and allows.  She is in the flow of perfection.  She just is.  She is nature and nature is her.  Her leaves fall…naturally, gracefully…feeding and nourishing her roots for further growth.

In this moment, I am the tree.
I give myself to the cycle that is upon me with full abandon.
I am the tree.  I stand strong in who I am.
I stand strong in my connection with the earth.
My roots dig deep.  My branches reach out to the heavens.
My leaves, one by one gently float to the earth in rhythm with the earth’s calling.
My heart knows I am one with the All, all with the One.
I am in perfect harmony.

In this moment, I am Free.
This moment is every moment.
In every moment I am Free.

In love, gratitude and appreciation for the Tree…the Tree that is me…I AM FREE.

I often feel energetic shifts afoot.  I can describe them…how they are inter-playing in my life’s experience and how I’m observing them in others.  I see them and feel them as energy and the reflection of the energy in emotions, actions and communications.

I love it when I see or read another’s context for the energy I’m observing.  That’s what happens frequently with my dear friend, Kay Snow-Davis.  She’s a Soul Purpose Astrologer (and many other amazing things!).  When I read her most recent post it was like light bulbs were lighting up one after the other.

It’s timely information that I feel will offer support to all of you…so here it is!  Please welcome, Kay Snow-Davis…

Everything must change…nothing stays the same…

Have you heard these words before?  They are words to a song and if these words are not familiar to you, it doesn’t matter, you can just look at life and know this is the theme right now…Nothing stays the same.

CHANGE is life and it is happening everywhere, in ways we never imagined.

From an astrological view, let’s check in with our old buddy Saturn and see what’s happening.

Saturn is truly our buddy – our stabilizer for structures and systems, inside our body and our environment.

Since September 7, 2007, Saturn entered the Element of Earth through the sign of Virgo, whose planetary “ruler” is Mercury.

What does all of this mean?

• The Element of Earth is the foundation for Life…represented by our Home planet Earth.
• Virgo is the energy of health, healing, service, animals and the details of daily life – our physical world/body and daily order.
• Mercury is the “messenger of the Gods” – the bridge between the Universe and the frontal lobe of our brain that is dependent on memory and understanding.

When Mercury goes retrograde, we get all frustrated because communication seems disrupted, appointment fall through, we can’t remember details etc. That is because retrograde Mercury is bridging with our intuition and the frontal lobe of our brain and ordinary thinking seems to be on pause.

So for 2 years, collectively we have been experiencing some or all of the above in different ways in our lives.

On October 29,2009…something will change.

Saturn leaves the Earth sign of Virgo and enters the Air sign of Libra. This will not be happening again for 30 years.

Remember, Saturn is about systems and structures and stabilizes our foundation for renewal…this means consciousness, intentions, focus, belief systems, choices, behavior and action as well.

We needed to make new choices and create new structures to be prepared for Saturn to enter Libra and receive Venus for the next 3 years.

For 2 years, this energy has been focused in our cognitive minds where we have been making so many decisions based on so many changes that feel like a tsunami of consciousness in our daily lives.

Does this mean we can actually “get out of our heads” for a while and “into our hearts”?

Yes! As a matter of fact, from October 30, 2009 to October 6, 2012, Saturn will be in Libra, the first time in 30 years.

By Element alone, this change makes a difference. All Elements – Fire, Earth and Water are dependent on Air; thus all life on earth in in relationship to Air.

• Without Air/breath there is no life: More Air, means more Life.

• Libra is devoted to beauty, order, balance, harmony and justice in relating – on every level of life.  This is the energy of the true Peace Keeper.

• Venus (Libra’s planetary ruler) represents the arts, beauty, creativity, love and compassion.

Mercury is about choices, decisions and action. (Masculine principle)

Venus is about receiving – intuition, love, and creativity. (Feminine Principle)

As a collective, we have the opportunity to consciously create balance inside and out between our masculine/feminine principle. This balance is essential if we are to survive because it is a basic foundation of sustainable living.  It is about being able to breathe in and breathe out…the balance for all life.

So ask yourself:

• How prepared am I to allow life to become more gracious? Less stressful?
• Am I open to receive more love in my life? More creativity? More possibility and potential?
• Do I really want to live peacefully? With myself? My partner? My Children? My family? My community? My nation? My Global Family?
• Am I willing to release the conflict between my head and heart?
• Will I allow my health and happiness to be renewed through forgiveness and compassion?
• Can I compliment rather than criticize and complain about others and myself?
• Do I believe in loving and being loved?

And the list will continue, as we receive more breath and become more alive in all areas of our life.

Life is very different now than 30 years ago when Saturn was in Libra.  You and I and our daily thoughts, choices and action will determine the sustainability of the next 30 years for our children and ourselves.

Will you choose Love?

The power of Venus is with you 24/7 for the next 3 years to practice this as a lifestyle.

I replied:
“@TiaSparkles You’re right. Be in the moment. EnJOY these 3 hours…and then…immerse yourself in the magic of YOU!

And she responded:
“@debsoul Tx! I like your take on it. Mine was more the `get away & go within to find what I seek` kinda sabbatical! LOL. Just need time out.

And I simply replied:
“@TiaSparkles :0) I LOVE time outs! :0)”

This morning I woke up and thought about Tia…starting her Time Out/Sabbatical with herself, away from the computer, appointments, obligations, etc…and I smiled.

I love Time Outs and give them to myself frequently.  They’re powerful.  They’re necessary.

When I came to my own computer (as I’m not on a computer time out right now) I noticed Tia’s new post announcing her Time Out…posted just before midnight last night.

In her post she talks about the movie Penelope (spoiler alert!! for Tia’s post) and how the story centers around Penelope, a beautiful girl who is seemingly cursed with a pig’s nose until she can find her one true love.  It’s a wonderful movie that teaches us the value and importance of Self Love.

Here is my comment (hardly a comment, more of a post, that’s why it’s here) in response to Tia’s post:

Dear Tia…

YAY for YOU!!!!  I love every post you share, my friend.  And I love this one like crazy ’cause it’s one of the most important themes you’ll ever touch on…and one of the most important all of us can give our awareness to.

I loved Penelope, the movie!  What a great example for talking about Self Love!

I’m a Self Love fanatic!! (That must sound so crazy to those who are still thinking that being selfish is a bad thing…)

Thanks for recognizing the need in yourself for a time out…and for giving yourself one…RIGHT NOW!  What a gift.  …not only for you, but for everyone of us who’s path you touch.  (Can you seriously get any better??)

When we give ourselves permission to be with ourselves…in a loving, nurturing, ‘I’m there for you’ kind of a way…it’s like getting the best bear hug ever!  It feels sooo goood.  The connection with our Divine Self deepens…and we all know what happens then.  Our vibration rises yet again, we’re more aligned with the Pure Brilliance we were born to be, we beam Happy-Power-Joy-JOY all over the place…and our lives and the lives of those around us are infinitely more alive and enriched simply because we said YES! to falling more deeply in Self Love!

Pretty darn cool.

Oh yeah, you asked what some of my favorite time outs for myself include~

First of all, I look at every day and say…OK, where is my time-out today?  I need one every day…and if I don’t feel I’m giving myself that I get kinda cranky…and then I need a BIG time out…which is OK too…but, getting them every day makes me feel SUPER Special & keeps the whole ‘overwhelm’ thing out of the picture.

My favorite time-outs include one or more of the following:

• Time with my horse, Lindy Rose…at liberty…in the pasture, being one w/the herd
• Walking in nature…especially a forest trail
• Reading my favorite book of the moment
• Soaking in my hot tub or extra large soak tub~immersing myself in water feels so yummy
• Cooking or Baking~when it’s just for fun, something special and creative…at a time of my choosing…but even making dinner each night feels like ‘time-out’ activity most of the time (think Chocolat!)
• Listening to my fave music & letting my inner rock star shine (except I’m usually singing along with Snatam Kaur or Tina Malia, hardly rock stars…but their music stirs my soul!)
• Laying on the floor with my dog, Ashki for some scratch & snuggle time
• …that’s the short of it!  The list could easily go on and on.

I’ve created our home as a sanctuary/retreat in and of itself.  Everything I need (except my horse, she’s a few miles down the road) is right here…including a mini forest for tree hugging and contemplation space.  When your home space supports your desire to connect to your full Brilliance, Self Love becomes second nature…it’s just so easy to give yourself what you need.

As I pondered what to write I considered all the topics that speak to me…and grabbed the one that sings to me.  The topic of Brilliance and Living Your Shine to the Fullest. As soon as I knew that’s what I wanted to write about I stumbled upon the quote that you’ll read a couple sentences from now.  I had the spark and the quote ignited the post.  I LOVE it when that happens!!

The Good Vibe Community loved the post…and naturally I wanted to share it with you too.  Here it is!

Hafiz wrote:

“You are a Divine Elephant with amnesia trying to live in an ant hole.”

The imagery of this quote is alarmingly vivid.  Seriously, are you picturing it?

The funniest part is, this is exactly what each of us looks like when we choose to live smaller than the brilliance that we are each born to be!

A portion of one of my all time favorite quotes from Marianne Williamson says,

“Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.”

It’s becoming ever clearer to me that we, as a humanity are awakening to our purest Soul Brilliance.

As generational stories of oppression and suppression dot the path of our histories we are becoming more and more enlightened by the idea that we are meant to shine more than anything else in this life.

The Spark of Divinity that courses through our veins has been there since the beginning of time.  No matter what experiences have gone before us that spark is alive and well.  It can not be extinguished.

No matter what the ‘looks as if’ is on the movie screen of life…something deep inside continues to pulse, telling us there’s a better picture…a picture we alone create for ourselves.

It is our Divine Right to shine.  And it is our choice to exercise this right.

What are you choosing?

• Are you the elephant w/amnesia trying to squeeze yourself into the ant hole?

• Or are you the elephant divinely aware of your majestic nature, fully aware of your HUGE Brilliance, fully willing to Live Large?

Perhaps you are the ant.  One ant in a colony of millions.

• One ant who in that colony of millions could choose to get lost in the ant hill of anonymity…

• Or one ant who will choose to claim his uniqueness and be counted as the one he is.

No matter the choice, choose on purpose.

• Choose because you want to.
• Because you know you can.
• Choose because no one else can make the choice for you.

Let the amnesia fade.

Stand up and claim your birthright.

You are a Divine Soul living a Human Experience.

What a gift!

The best part?…

It’s a gift that keeps on giving.  Another line from the same Marianne Williamson quote says,

“And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

I know my perfect JOB.  It’s to serve others through my own Light, assisting others to fully discover their own Light…their own Joy of Brilliance in life.

Just by becoming the Divine Being we are…elephant, ant, human…each of us uniquely brilliant, shining our gleaming wonderfulness in all we are…leading by the clarity of our example as Abraham suggests…

…just by this, we encourage others to do the same.

It’s that easy.  It’s that important.  It’s that brilliant.

We create heaven on earth just by being the brilliance of who we are.

Heaven feels good.  I choose brilliance.  In JOY.  Will you join me?

• speak passionately,
• BE brilliantly.

In fact the premise of that post was inspired by the nursery rhyme ‘Row, Row, Row Your Boat’ in which one floats gently down(the)stream…because…merrily, merrily, merrily Life is but a Dream!

Oh, the Magic!

Last night I was updating my Facebook status and something magical happened.

I saw something in a word that had been there all the while, except I had never seen it that way before.  (LOVE when that happens!)

I was giggling to myself about how people I’ve known for years, but haven’t seen for a long time seem to be perplexed about all the different ‘jobs’ I have.  Currently I am:

• a Social Media Consultant,
• an Intuitive Guide,
• a Copywriting Coach,
• an Alkaline-Antioxidant Water System Fan & Promoter
• and even the Magic Hairdresser in me may be getting dusted off to shine in the spotlight once again.

As I considered how funny it is to me that I don’t fit into another’s ‘I do this and this alone!’ box, I stared at the word ‘job’ that I had just typed.

As I stared the letters started dancing before me …J…O…B… and that’s when it happened.  I saw the word JOB as an acronym for Joy of Brilliance!!!

J.O.B. = Joy of Brilliance

Oh My Goodness!!!  It’s everything I ever say, share, be, do, live, encourage, etc. to the max!!

Who knew that a little word like ‘job’ held the magic of J.O.B. ~ Joy of Brilliance?!?

This is perfect! JOBs are meant to be born of our Soul Brilliance and expressed with great JOY!

The secret to life is about living JOY and Feeling Good…and when we do we become like Midas; everything we touch turns to GOLD.

Life is not meant to be about ‘work’ or ‘job-jobs’.  It’s meant to be about a continuous joyful flow of expression…and within that we receive abundance as a result of living that joy.  (Some may refer to parts of that abundance as a ‘pay check’)

My friend, Star Rinaldi on Facebook shares a quote by Rabindranath Tagore in her sidebar that I resonate with so deeply:

“I slept and dreamt that Life was Joy.  I awoke and saw that Life was Service.  I acted and behold, Service was Joy.”

In dream time we often recognize the brilliance of who we are.  To wake up and express that with joy each and every moment of every day is the best JOB we could ever dream of.

The best part is…every job we have can be this if we choose it to be.  Every one.  Even the most seemingly mundane.  Putting our Brilliance to work with Joy is possible no matter what we do.

Do You Want a JOB?

So…I ask you, what is your JOB?  Are you working it?  Do you have your Joy of Brilliance (JOB) turned on in everything you do? If not, what can you do to shift it?

Now, when someone asks, “What do you do?” I can simply reply, “In everything I do, I have the BEST JOB in the world because I’m working my Joy of Brilliance!”

It’s up to you.  You are Brilliant beyond measure. Will you work it?

He came barreling in the bedroom just after sunrise shouting, “Mom…Dad, there’s a wild turkey banging on my window!”

What?! I must be dreaming.

I heard what he said but it wasn’t computing.  We just recently moved to the country and I’ve never had a wild turkey come knocking at my door window.

I hadn’t really opened my eyes to this point.  I settled back in.  And immediately Destin shouted it again, “Mom!!  There’s a wild turkey banging on my window! Come quick!”

This time I opened my eyes.  Sure enough, our son was really standing there telling me about a turkey at his window.

I grabbed the camera and we ran downstairs to witness the most amusing early morning sight ever.

There was this HUGE Tom Turkey just banging his beak with full force on our window!!

Honestly, he was pecking with such force I was a little concerned the window would break.

I caught a couple pic’s and then asked Destin if he thought the turkey could see in.

He didn’t think so.  We moved closer. The turkey kept banging.
We moved closer still. The turkey was insistent, relentless in his pecking; he didn’t notice us.

Finally, when we got within a couple feet of the window, we entered Tom Turkey’s field of awareness.
He suddenly realized the error of his ways (or was freaked out that a group of two-leggeds was suddenly posing threat as well) … and he ran away across the lawn.

As he did we noticed his ‘wife and children’ standing further up the lawn.  (OK, I’m anthropomorphizing just a little.  Bear with me.)

This turkey was clearly banging away at his own reflection in what he believed was a noble attempt to ward off any threat to his own.

Interesting.

A Look at Reflection~

If we look at ‘reflection’ metaphorically…

How often do we bang away at our reflection…or what is being reflected…only to realize that we could be looking deeper, broader, more intently beyond what currently seems to be.

• Is it possible that at times our own awareness is limited by what is being reflected around us?

• Is it possible that by giving all of our attention to what we’re focused on that we create more of that reality?

The turkey was sure that there was another turkey threatening his territory, his family, his livelihood.  It’s all he could see and he was determined not to let anything happen that he didn’t want to happen.

That was his reality.  For him, in that moment, the threat (as he saw it) was real.

And so, he continued fruitlessly banging away at his own reflection when he could have taken a step back, broadened his awareness, offered himself some relief and a new perspective.  He could have.  He didn’t.  Until we stepped into his field of awareness he was complacently attached to his seeming current situation.

I know I’m giving this turkey a lot of credit.  In his defense, I’m sure the depth of character I’m giving him is not at all there.  He was innocently doing what he thought best.  I recognize that.  We do that, too.

Questioning Reflection~

Here are some questions that ran through my awareness as I witnessed this amusing spectacle this morning:

• What beliefs are we holding about our reflection and that which is reflected around us?
• Could there be something more?
• Is it possible to look at things from another angle?
• What may be blocking our deeper vision?
• What is the reflection being presented saying?  Are we listening?
• Is it possible the reflection currently revealing itself is only a facade?  …or a mirage?
• And most directly…  How do I feel about what is being reflected, and how is what I see being reflected present within me?
• Are we ever so attached to our current situation that we forget to allow space for new possibility to come into our field of awareness?

I know one thing right now.  I’m grateful to Tom Turkey and his family.  They offered me a profoundly introspective ‘wake up call’ opportunity this morning.  Not to mention some early morning humor to start things off right!

I mean seriously, if you’re going to get woken up before your body says it’s time it may as well be for the antics of nature playing at your window!

Any attention grabbing reflections at your window lately?

Metaphorically speaking, of course.  Although, if any of you have had experiences with nature’s amusement I’d love to hear those stories as well!

Here’s to reflection!  Seeing it for what it’s worth, seeing it for its face value, and recognizing that there’s more…if we just take a step back, forward…or even INward…yet another reflection takes shape with ever deeper messages to share.

It doesn’t matter.  Not really.  Ultimately what matters is that I’ve been busily living life and enJOYing every moment.

I’ve had 42+ Good Days!!  (Seriously.  At the end of day inventory, they were ALL GOOD.)

“Weren’t there a few moments of stuck & yuck here & there”, you may ask?   …OK, maybe a few…but not enough for me to care to give my lasting attention to.

Give Me a Cloud…

I’m all about the JOY.  You give me a cloud and I’ll find the silver lining.  The JOY is always there for us.

That’s really all there is.  Being in JOY as often as possible.  And when that’s where our attention goes…it’s amazing just how many JOYful moments we live.

Have you been living JOYfully? Are you giving attention to how much JOY is in your life?  Look around you.  Can you see anything at all to be JOYful about?  If you aren’t immediately noticing anything…  Look CLOSER.

• What about how your dog’s body rises and falls with each relaxed breath, reminding you that life is good?
• What about the wonder in a child’s eyes?
• Or how your partner sweetly says, “I love you” a bunch of times each day?
• How about that forwarded email that’s been around the world and back again?  You know, the one with the incredible photos of animals in nature.

(OK, so these are a few things that ‘do it’ for me…what does it for you?)

• What about the fact that you’re alive?
• What about all the blessings, big and small that grace your path in life every day?

Want an immediate JOY boost?

Think of 3 things right now that you LOVE in life.

Dig deep and give gratitude for each of them.

Feel what it’s like to be with what ever those 3 things are.

If it’s food, taste it.  If it’s flowers, smell them.  If it’s a loved one, give them an imaginary squeeze!  Right now.

Can you feel it?

JOY isn’t far away.  JOY isn’t something for some day.  Joy is for right now. In every moment.  Did you know that?  JOY is a choice just like everything else. In every moment there is something just screaming to be recognized for the JOY it brings you.

When we begin to realize that we are surrounded by JOY INDUCERS, we begin to realize that we are the igniters.  We are responsible for turning our JOY on.

Every day is a Good Day…if that’s what we choose it to be.

What are you choosing?

Will you choose to notice and count the JOYful blessings in each day?  Or will you choose to notice the things that make you go a little buggy?

A YouTube video from Brother David Steindl-Rast titled, “A Good Day” moved me to tears of JOY this morning.

So much so that I was inspired to write this post.  I just had to get back in touch with you.  I just had to tell you that Life is Good.  Better than good, really.  Downright GREAT.

As I watched the video I found my inner self shouting, “YES!  Beautiful!  Yes!  I feel that!  I see that!  I am deeply, ever so deeply GRATEFUL for that!!”

May your every day be a Good Day.  May you see and live each day as if it were your very first…and your very last.  Now that, as Brother David points out, makes for a day well spent.  A Good Day, indeed.

So…What’s UP…What’s All the JOY About?!

For those of you wondering just what’s been so JOYful for me these past six weeks…

We’ve followed our hearts once again.  We moved from Colorado where we’ve been feeling a bit like misfits for the last two years back to Wisconsin, our birth home.  We’ve been away for over six years…and coming ‘home’ to family, friends and the natural green space and water we love feels sooo good!

We’ve been blessed with a gorgeous sanctuary atop a hill in the woods.  It’s the perfect retreat for us.  We’re surrounded by nature in every direction.  This place feeds our souls…and inspires deep creative passion within us.  It’s a constant re-charging station and we are eternally grateful.

The past 6 weeks have been about the transition, the move, the settling in and making a house a home.  The past 6 weeks have been about re-connecting with family and friends; such JOY.  And the past 6 weeks have been about re-connecting with Mother Nature…boating, hiking, sitting, exploring, listening, watching nature in all her splendor.

Such Good Days.  Such JOY.  So much to give Gratitude for!

Just recently I was talking with our realtor about creating a new marketing flyer for the house we’re selling in Colorado.  She thought it would be fun to play with the idea of “Seeking the Mystery Buyer”.

While this idea got my creative juices flowing, it stimulated my passion for Re-Framing.

3 Great Words to Re-Frame:

• Desperately
• Seeking
• Mystery

The word “seeking” within the ’seeking the mystery buyer’ idea reminded me immediately of the movie title, ‘Desperately Seeking Susan’.  And when it did I literally laughed out loud and said, “Oh no, this little conscious creator will not give power to desperate anything!”

I am not desperate.  I have no desire to be desperate.  Immediately the magic of a re-frame appeared across the movie screen of my mind’s eye.

Desperately … Re-Frame … Deliberately

Ah yes!  But of course!  My friend, Deliberate.

Deliberate = Conscious, with intention, in charge, on purpose, with meaning, by choice…Deliberate. Perfect.

My attention then turned to “seeking”.  Hmmm…  “Nope, seeking will not do”, I thought.

Seeking implies I’m looking for something outside of myself…perhaps even something I can’t find, something out of reach, something not readily available to me, something hiding from me.

None of those scenarios give me any FEEL GOOD.  The vibes I feel conjure feelings of hopelessness and despair.  No thank you.

In my world everything I need and desire comes to me.  I am a magnet.  Magnets attract.  Bull’s eye!  My re-frame for “seeking” is “Attracting”!

Seeking … Re-Frame … Attracting

Great!  So now instead of ‘desperately seeking anything’ we have, ‘Deliberately Attracting Everything’.  That FEELS SO GOOD!  Yes?

In life I choose the vibe of deliberately attracting over desperately seeking every time.  Can you feel the difference?  Have you ever felt desperate about anything?  How does feeling deliberate register instead?

Our internal Resonance Barometer measures each of them quite oppositely.  Using our emotions as the indicator, we recognize that desperateness feels yucky and deliberateness feels good, positively charged.

We’ve been talking about Power lately, Authentic Power to be exact.  It’s easy to see that Deliberately Attracting is beautifully grounded in Authentic Power; sourced from the inside with Love.  YAY!

It’s no mystery~

In our realtor’s idea for ‘seeking the mystery buyer’, I felt one more word screaming to be re-framed.  “Mystery”.  I chuckled again thinking, “I may not know the buyer’s name or personal information, but this buyer is no ‘mystery’ to me.”

In fact, there are many things I know about our Perfect Buyer.  **Did you catch the re-frame?

Mystery … Re-Frame … Perfect

As defined by my Mac Dictionary Friend ‘Perfect’ means:  having all the required or desirable elements, qualities, or characteristics; as good as it is possible to be; highly suitable for someone or something; exactly right.

That sounds so…PERFECT!  :0)  Right?

Our buyer is no mystery to me.  I’m perfectly clear who our buyer is.

Our Perfect Buyer loves creative, peaceful environments, enjoys an incredible gourmet kitchen open to entertaining spaces, appreciates mature trees, privacy and being surrounded by nature with local conveniences just minutes away, adores the finer things~attention to detail and gorgeousness, recognizes an incredible deal when they see one, has a ready flow of accessible cash for a clean, smooth transaction, needs this house any time between now and fall of 2009.

Our perfect buyer knows quality, has dreamed of living in a house like this in a gorgeous, mature neighborhood like Fox Hill, and is blown away by the serendipity that drew them to this amazing house at this remarkably great price!  Our perfect buyer knows all about deliberate attraction (consciously or not!) and being in the right place at the right time!

No mystery at all.  Crystal clear.  Perfect.

We are Deliberately Attracting the Perfect Buyer.

The Magic of a Re-Frame~

Re-framing our thoughts and intentions makes an enormous difference in what it is we attract.  Let’s face it…we’re going to get what we ask for anyway…we may as well be conscious and deliberate about it!

Understand that as long as we are clear and deliberate in our wanting, in our asking, in our desiring; then we can go about enJOYing our lives, trusting that what we are attracting is brilliant, most likely surpassing and exceeding our highest imaginings and is already on its way to us.

Get clear.  Get deliberate.  Be BOLD in your declarations of what you want and always be open to being surprised at just how PERFECT, even *beyond perfect* the manifestations that are delivered to your doorstep are.

Self Love in the purest, more reverent sense is the greatest gift we could ever give ourselves.  In turn, it is also the greatest gift we could give another.

By loving ourselves unconditionally, we heighten our capacity for love in general.  By loving ourselves we are tapped in to our true nature and therefore in access to our greatest authentic power.

Communicating with others from this space of Authentic Power steeped in Self Love is magical.

Sphere of Receptivity~

By focusing first on our self love and then radiating outward, we create an authentic sphere of receptivity for communication to flow through.

When in this space of Self Love related to Authentic Power, we recognize that we have no desire to control another.  Our only wish is that each person finds the deep peace associated with their own relationship with Self.

How the communication is received is not up to you.  It is up to the receiver.  Your only ‘job’ is to come from your inner love and relate from a position of good intention without agenda, without attachment to the outcome.

We can tell the difference between being in our Authentic Power and coming from our Inauthentic Power in two ways:

• how we’re feeling emotionally while communicating
• if we’re feeling attached to the outcome, or not

If the emotion that is flowing feels good, is based in unconditional love, peace, harmony and understanding then you can be sure that you are coming from your Authentic Power.

If the emotion that is flowing is steeped in feelings of anger, frustration, fear and/or judgement you can use caution, recognizing that it’s more likely to be coming from an Inauthentic place when the emotional energy is charged in this way.

The flow of emotion is an ever changing stream of consciousness. At times calm and placid, other times like raging rapids.  In addition, this flow can shift and change at the blink of an eye.

As we commit to bringing our awareness to our emotional flow, we engage another level of our Authentic Power.  We are aware of the shifts and therefore aware of our level of authenticity.

Feeling Powerless?

When I look at the path I’ve journeyed over the years relative to being in my own authentic power I can clearly see the relationship between my journey to self love and my ability to be in my power.  I can see plenty of stops along the path where I felt powerless…and in those moments I was also OUT of love with myself.

Being powerless is a close friend of self-doubt, self-sabotage, self-neglect, self-hate.  Period.  No one can render you powerless but yourself.  Just as no one can give you power but yourself.

An Inside Job~

It’s an inside job.  It always is.  As soon as we externalize *anything* we’re at risk of giving our power away.  Again, when this happens it’s of our own choosing.  Nothing has been taken away.

The inside job here is all about loving and honoring your most Brilliant Source Self and allowing the expansion of that Source Self to fill you up from the inside out.

When we allow our True Nature Self to expand into the fullness of our being-ness we are free.  We feel such joy and elation.  Nothing can stop us.

We are unstoppable in our flow of power in grace and ease.

Being the ‘Look-Out’~

When in conversation or communication that matters to us, it’s our responsibility to bring awareness to where our communication is flowing from.  It’s responsible of us to be our own look-out, our own watch-guard to where our energy is flowing from.

When in conversation we begin to recognize that our emotional barometer has switched from love to fear, we draw ourselves in, call ourselves on it and proceed only when we are back in a centered, loving, peaceful place.

Just imagine how different the world would be if we could self-manage our energy in this way.  And of course we can.  …do we?  That’s the question.

War would be an unknown if each of us committed to this practice, this awareness.  What a commitment this is…and will be to those we love in our near and dear daily lives, as well as to our global family.

When we recognize that it’s only about us, as the individual…that no one else imposes anything on us; it offers a deep sense of comfort and freedom; as well as responsibility–one that we willingly accept because it’s just too important not to.

Calling all Captains~

Accepting this responsibility means we realize that we are truly the captain of our own ship.  We realize that we are in charge of our feelings, our thoughts, and our actions.  We realize that everything we do, say, and be…is a choice.  Everything.

Most of all, we recognize that true power = love…better yet, Love = Power

…and it all starts on the inside. Inside of you.  Inside of me.  …how beautiful when it radiates outward!! LOVE POWER

That’s the only kind of power I’m interested in.  How about you?

I’ve written  Letting Go & the Power of Happy (…the new Power of Now) and last week’s post, I’ve Got the Power.  This week several people have posed questions around Authentic Power…what it is, how to tap into it and how to know when you’ve got it turned on.

Here’s what I’ve got relative to Authentic Power; in two parts, because I just couldn’t fit all the juicy details into one post!

Part One:

The Heart of Authentic Power~

Communicating from your center, your place of authentic power, will always feel good to you.

That’s your key that it’s working.

If it feels good, it’s working.

If there are any not so good feelings (uneasiness, hurt, anger, resentment, fear, etc.) floating about that’s your key that something is off, not quite right, awry.

The magical key to feeling good and thereby being in your authentic power lies in your capacity for Self Love.

The more in love with your Self you are, the more able you are to relate from your Authentic Power.

I capitalize Self here to denote the real, true essence you.

• Not the you of your personality, job, roles in life, etc.
• Not the you as someone else may define you.
• Not necessarily even the you as you may define yourself if you’ve not yet fallen truly, madly, deeply in love with your Self.

Self is the Brilliance Within.

• Self as God-Given,
• Source-Driven,
• Divine Nature,
• Pure Perfection Self.

Now that’s goooood.  (and oh so easy to love, yes?)

Being in love with your Self automatically ensures great levels of confidence, worthiness, acceptance, peace and joy.

Being in love with yourself in the purest sense means you don’t need anything from anyone else…ever.

You are your own best friend.

From this space, giving is delightful and receiving is magical.

Both are like icing on the cake…not necessarily needed, but oh so appreciated.

The more capable we are of loving ourselves for the pure perfection that we are, the more capable we are of reflecting that ability in others to do the same.

Self Love is the most important gifts we could ever give…ourselves.

Self Love is the foundation by which all else is created.  For when we recognize the greatness of our Source Self…our God-Given Self we recognize the Power Within that is limitless; the power to be, do, live anything we dream or imagine.

• The more deeply we love ourselves, the less likely we are to be swayed by something outside of ourselves that is dissonant.  Thus, we are IN our Power.

• The more sure we are of ourselves, the more likely we are to be able to maintain our center (our Power) when our surroundings seem to be on shaky ground.

• The more steadfastly we love ourselves the easier it gets to relate from our Point of Power in all that we do.

We are designed to be powerful, loving beings.

Love is the Heart of Authentic Power.

Tap in!  It’s yours to claim.  Fall in love with your Self and feel the Power!

Using a chant to Lakshmi…or anyone else (including chants or prayers to Jesus, Mary, Buddha, God, etc.) is simply (and amazingly) an empowering tool.

The chant or prayer is an energy ignitor, a connector, a bridge between You and your most Tuned in You; the You that is Source itself.

The power of these chants is not in the chant alone.  It’s in what you activate vibrationally within yourself and in turn in the world around you.

That’s big.  Did you get that?

Power Source Inside ~ Inquire Within

It’s important to recognize that true power can only be sourced from within.

It’s tempting to externalize sometimes.  We have a tendency to look outside ourselves for the latest, greatest fix, fad, idea, pill, diet, self-help book, etc.  It’s not to say that any one of these things might not assist; they may.

The bottom line is none of these things work unless and until the ‘Inside You’~your Authentic Source Self is ready and prepared to make the shift.

No matter what the shift is.

When the you that is YOU is ready and says YES!; you’re in your POWER and magic happens.

You’ve Got Mail~

I’ve mentioned in previous posts that when I finish chanting I like to sit quietly in the energy and vibration the chanting created within and around me.  Some days I hear or observe something.  Others not so much.

Today I felt a message coming through.  Here’s what I recorded:

“Chants are meant to empower the power within.  Invoking my energy is meant only to awaken that part of you that is me.

The energy of prosperity and abundance is within you.  It always has been.  It always will be.

It is not outside of you, and therefore cannot be sourced in that way.

Yes, of course physical manifestations will reveal themselves to you outwardly.  You must understand they are the fruits of the inside nurturing you have done to allow them to sprout, blossom and ripen.

They are the outward manifestation of the beautiful inside connection to Source and therefore the aliveness of prosperity and abundance within you.

Can you accept this to be true?  It is so.  Trust in the power within and know that chanting, or any other ‘magical’ tool are only that ~ tools.

It is you alone who is the keeper of your power.  You alone can tap in and turn it up.  It’s easy.  Believe it so.”

I believe this came through me, from within.  From that part of me that is Lakshmi, from that part of each of us that is Lakshmi, from the collective Lakshmi consciousness.

So…What Did You Get??

Many ask, what has manifested for you since you started chanting to Lakshmi?

They want to know in $$$ or things because of course isn’t that what this is all about, they say?

While I have had outer manifestations ‘show up’ in the form of

• more perfect clients (another incredible one just yesterday!),
• unexpected money from the government in the form of tax refunds from years gone by (huge welcome surprise),
• our investments are growing beautifully (in a supposedly yet ‘downturned’ economy~my picture of the economy looks bright and cheery);

I have to say the biggest gifts I’ve received are those that woke me up to my inner knowing of

• worthiness,
• deservedness and
• connectedness.

I’ve been in touch with these qualities my whole life…and somehow over the past 2 1/2 months of chanting I feel the fullness of my worthiness, deservedness and connectedness.

Awakening the fullness of these three qualities within me “set me up” and “got me poised” for major receiver mode.

Receiver Mode Activated!

• I am ready, willing and able to receive.
• I am open!
• There are no blocks to my receiving.
• In fact receiving brings me so much JOY I am blissfully ecstatic!!

This is HUGE for me.  Can you relate?

Many of us are incredible givers; we know how to do that one REALLY well.  We love to give.  We feel SO GOOD when we give.  And…because we’re so good at giving…some of us aren’t that well versed in receiving.

To feel this immense freedom within me now around receiving just completely rocks so deep!!  Receiver Mode Engaged!  Full Throttle!!

• I am in my Power.
• I am Unstoppable.
• I am Happy.
• I am JOY FULL.
• I am Bliss.

• AND ~ I am a powerful manifestor, who is grateful for the energy of prosperity and abundance that is awake, alive and well within me.

There was a time in my life where others attempted to lead me to believe that wearing rose colored glasses was wrong; that by wearing them I was somehow out of touch with reality.

Funny, right? Knowing what I/we know…  We are each responsible for creating our own reality.  And so, if this is the case…and it is…then my choice to see the world through rose colored glasses has served me very well.  (And it has)

Growing Up in the School of Hard Knocks

I remember so many instances growing up hearing adults around me say to one another:

• Get your head out of the clouds!
• Take those silly rose colored glasses off and see life for what it is!
• Get real!
• What do you think…life’s supposed to be a bowl of cherries?!
• You can’t have your cake and eat it, too!
• Oh yeah, to you life is all sunshine and rainbows!

I listened with a certain curiosity.
I wondered why the world these adults were living in was seemingly so bad?
What kind of glasses were they viewing life through?
Maybe they wanted to try mine.

My world through rose colored glasses

I observed that I rather liked my head in the clouds…watching them float by, seeing angels, bunny rabbits, pirate ships and castles.

I looked at life and  really did see sunshine and rainbows.  As far as a bowl of cherries go, they’ve never been my personal favorite…but if someone else likes them, why wouldn’t life be just like that?

I noticed that when I was at celebrations that included cake I could have it…and eat it, too!  And…there was always icing on the cake!  Bonus.  Why would someone think I could have cake…but I couldn’t eat it?  Strange reality these people lived.

Sunshine and rainbows have always been magical to me.  I see them all the time.  In fact, I’m pretty sure I haven’t seen a day yet where the sun hasn’t shone…OK, so maybe there are clouds at times…but I know the sun rises to greet each new day; has ever since I started paying attention!

I’ve seen double and triple rainbows as well as an abundance of singles.  While living on Kauai rainbows were a natural part of my day.  My life was then, and is now filled with sunshine and rainbows.  I like it like that.  It brings me joy.  And why not?

Life’s Road is paved with…

Why is it that human nature at times tends to sway in the direction of belief that life is somehow meant to be hard, fraught with challenge, obstacles, rough spots and stuck or yuck?

Who ever gave us the notion that life was to be anything other than JOYful, FEEL GOOD, HAPPY…and just plain delicious to live?

I believe we can find rainbows in every situation.  If that makes me one of those silly rose colored glasses wearers, then so be it!

• I’m proud to take my stand as someone who’s committed to seeing the good in life.
• I’m committed to creating my reality the way I see it; the way I want it to be.

Did you know rose colored glasses are FREE?

It’s true.  Rose colored glasses are a CHOICE. And they’re completely FREE for the choosing!

Well, the metaphorical kind are, anyway.  I’ve had some pretty cool regular ones, too.  The kind that actually sit on your face and have bows that extend over your ears.

They cost a few couple bucks, unless you find a pair discarded on the roadside when someone feels life’s not meant to be so glorious and they leave them behind!

That’s happened to me before!  I’ve found someone else’s discarded glasses…and they just happened to be rose colored.  No kidding!  Meant for me, yes?

Are you laughing? Good.  I’m serious.  Laughing again? No?  Why not?  Yes? Good.

Rose colored glasses look good on EVERY ONE! They’re not for the faint of heart, though.  Beware.

• Wearing rose colored glasses will get you noticed.
• People will wonder just what’s gotten into you.
• Others will question your sanity; surely no one could be this happy.
• Your loved ones will wonder if it’ll ever where off; secretly hoping not.

Other rose colored glasses wearers will be drawn to you like bees to honey.  You’re sweet…and you know where the feel good is.

• Expect sudden bursts of JOY in your life while wearing them.
• There are no known side effects for wearing them 24/7.
• Even in sleep time, people have reported deeper, more restful sleep and magically inspiring dreams while wearing their rose colored glasses in bed.

I’ve heard other bed time reports as well.  Wearing rose colored glasses at all times (even during bed times…) increases the feel good across the board.  Use your imagination if further explanation is necessary.  Good stuff.

My Story 

My character, my inner brilliance has always been strong; my own experience has always spoken more loudly to me than what someone else may suggest to be true.

Though there were some years where I attempted to mask the effects of my rose colored glasses on my life from the rest of the world so as not to outwardly draw undue attention to the joy I was living; in time I realized that letting my rose colored-ness shine was good for me…and overall, it has had a pretty decent effect on those around me as well.

Notice~

The story I’m sharing doesn’t include stuck and yuck pieces.  That doesn’t mean there weren’t any.  There were plenty from another view.  I’m choosing to tell the story from my rose colored glasses view…and from that perspective I see JOY.  Period.  …and the stucky-yucky places-spaces?  The joy within them.  That’s the ticket.

How Do We Avoid Influence from Old Beliefs and Habits?

Abraham: I am powerful in my now. We are not encouraging a discarding of old ideas, for in trying to get rid of them you actually only think about them more. And, some of your old ideas are worth keeping. Just be more aware of how you are directing your thoughts, and make a decision that you want to feel good…… Today no matter where I am going, no matter what I am doing, it is my dominant intent to see that which I want to see. Nothing is more important than that I feel good.

Jerry: So, if people are witnessing the negatives being broadcast through the media, or even listening to problems that they might hear presented by their friends, how could they keep the negativity from offsetting them?

Abraham: By setting forth the intent, in every segment of their life experience, to see that which they want to see. And then, even from the most negative presentations, they could see something that they want.

This week’s question had to do with the “letting go” step of the Law of Attraction process.  As in, how can I possibly ‘let go’ (release from attachment and trust) when I really, really, really want something?!

Oooo…this one is in the ‘freshy-fresh’ category for me right now!  As always, I’m grateful for the question…and the opportunity to share my happy observations.

Here’s what I’ve got…

When you really, really want something.

• Good.
• Be clear about it.
• Proclaim it from the mountain tops,
• sing, dance and celebrate it’s coming.
• And then…
• Get in the Power of Happy!

Eckhart Tolle talks about the Power of Now…I say the Power of Happy has even more…power.

Happy goes beyond and gives meaning to the Now…it gives it purpose.  (Not to mention, it’s downright FUN.)

When I’m really, really wanting something, I’m getting better and better at being in the ‘every day happy, now’.

When I’m focused on my happy I notice I don’t think about my ‘thing’ I really, really want (much).  And you know what else?

Is *that* what I wanted?  Really?

Sometimes in the course of being in the happy, I look at what I really, really want and notice that it looks different.  I notice that I want it a little different than I thought…a little bigger, a little smaller, a little more, a little less, earthier, bluer…you get the picture.

When this happens I get to celebrate a happy dance all over again!  Oh goodie! Thank Goddess it didn’t arrive yet, ’cause now I get to switch it up to match my new vibe!

**Do you think it’s possible the Universe was one step ahead of me (or three, five, one hundred) and knew better than I that I wasn’t quite ready, quite clear enough?

**Do you think it’s possible the Universe was waiting for my ‘aha moment’ of expanded clarity?

Trust ONE thing~

If there’s one thing I trust after all these years of experience it’s that everything happens on purpose, in right timing.  Everything. Period. If it looks as if, or feels as if it’s wrong…look deeper. Divine Timing is fail-proof. (There’s comfort in there if one chooses it.)

My most recent opportunity to practice what I preach (so to speak of course!) has been with the sale of our house here in Colorado.  (No, it’s not sold yet…and if any of you reading know the new owner, could you tell them the house is ready, willing and able to be theirs?)

Trust me when I tell you, this scenario has put my “Power of Happy” to the test.  And unequivocally I tell you the better I get at being true to my happy the more my attachment to the outcome (the sale of our house) drifts into the recesses of my awareness.

Here’s the key to my Power of Happy:

I’ve found that doing more of what I love, more of what I love, more & more & more of what I love…gives me more & more & more happy.  As a result my neediness and attachment melt away. (…and an abundance of other amazing things line up, manifest…etc.! *Bonus*)

Now, when I think of the house sale I want to happen it’s just a shoulder shrug of,

“I guess it’s not quite time yet.  Boy, the Universe (God) must really be hatching together the most glorious of outcomes!  THIS is gonna be goooood!!!”

Trust, Patience and Happy.

Those are my keys to detachment. Happy is at the top of the list…’cause it just makes everything else easy-peasy.

I like easy-peasy. In more refined terms:  Grace & Ease.

Grace and Ease are my compass…and Happy is my True North.

(Oooo…I like that!  Never came out quite like that before!)

As is always the case when a certain theme is fresh, the theme attracts that which supports it. This week I clicked on one of @kendrathornbury’s links and followed it to her blog where she had posted an especially appropriate Abraham video about happy. I bookmarked it. I posted it to my Facebook page. I made a note to include it in a future post. (Ta-dah! See bottom of post) Yesterday, I clicked on one of Jeannette’s past recent posts and there it was again!

See what I mean? Divine Timing. Serendipity. THIS post, this question. All on purpose. All in harmony. All giving me more HAPPY. :0) Thanks!

What we give power to manifests.

I’m giving power to happy. The way I figure, then everything else just has to bring more happy!

In Happy & Harmony… Debra

This movie is brilliant!  It uses comedic humor (which gets us laughing and immediately raises our vibration ~ we’re wired to be happy) to show us some very important elements of life and how we choose to live it.

Life is about choice. It’s up to us how we live it and what we create for ourselves.

In the movie, Carl (played by Jim Carrey), out of fear of being rejected, abandoned, let down, etc…has grown accustomed to just saying no to life.  …and as a result he basically has no life.

While Carl’s not having much fun, he thinks he’s happy like this.  After all, it’s better this way.  Isn’t it?  (I can’t get hurt if I’m already numbed out and already almost dead to the world.)

Transformation Train

Transformation for Carl presents itself in the form of a high powered motivational seminar series called, ‘Yes Man ~ Yes is the New No’.

One of Carl’s few remaining friends (a blast from the past, when Carl had a life) persuaded Carl to come to the seminar.

Carl attends and reluctantly begins to feel the energy of the room…he begins to notice the seemingly high vibe of the participants.  Carl starts to wonder if maybe there’s something to all this ‘Yes Man’ stuff.

Suddenly he’s face-to-face with the seminar leader (a piece of archetypical perfection in this role).  The leader gets in Carl’s face and with a ‘come to Jesus’ tone, scares the crap out of him inspires him to take the ‘Covenant’.

The covenant states that one needs to say YES!…all the time, no matter what the circumstances or situation.  And if one abides by the covenant their life will be filled with fun and paradise unparalleled.

Yes, Man!…that was awkward.

The movie proceeds to show us some incredibly awkward, mostly funny (one downright ‘ewww, that’s just so wrong’ in my oh so humble opinion) instances where Carl says, YES!

Even in the midst of some ‘not so fun yeses’ Carl realizes his life is turning around for the better.

He’s living again.  He can breathe.  Things that felt like mundane struggles before are now blips on the radar.

Life was now showing Carl all sorts of new opportunities, new ways to express himself, new ways to have fun and enjoy life.

Curses!

As time goes on, Carl feels the weight of the covenant he’s taken as a curse; he believes out of seemingly relevant observations that when he just has to say NO!…bad things happen.

So he tries to continue to only say YES!  This of course brings about quite a conundrum; something inside him tells him the story he’s now living isn’t quite right.

(…get it…internal Resonance Barometer going off…will he listen?)

Some interesting plot twists develop as Carl realizes there are just some instances where a NO! is necessary.

And so continues Carl’s exploration to finding the balance and the deeper meaning of being a ‘Yes Man’!

The moral of the story according to me:

We truly and completely step into our natural, unique and authentic power when we get real with ourselves.  When we’re tuned in enough and honest enough to only go in the direction of what feels good, in ease and grace.  This is what alignment is all about.

Discernment is a beautiful thing.

When we align ourselves with that which flows from our brilliance, our essence, our Divine Spark we empower ourselves to live an inspired, richly promising life that delivers everything we could ever imagine…and more.

When we choose to live our lives in this manner and we trust that by being true to ourselves that only good can come our way…that’s exactly what happens!

The glorious thing about that is that it’s true and applicable to all aspects of our life~
relationships, jobs, careers, home, health…etc.!

In the spirit of ‘Yes Man’

• Let’s celebrate our YESes and honor our NO’s.

• Let’s be true to ourselves and watch the world arrive with greatness right in front of our very eyes.

In times gone by people may have said they needed an ego boost.  The ego has played it’s game, had it’s fame and seen it’s demise.  Ego has made it to the top of the charts, popular in many circles only to come crashing down…not able to maintain it’s inflated appeal.

If you’ve been reading my recent posts then you know I’ve been spending some quality time with Lakshmi, the Goddess of Prosperity and Abundance each morning for the past almost 40 mornings.

Today, as is always the case, Lakshmi brought an amazing idea to my awareness.

“The ‘I AM’ Boost ~ It’s what the authentic self needs now.

Let your ‘I AM’ shine!  Be the Brilliance that you are born to be.”

How fun is that?!?

An ‘I AM’ Boost gets us in touch with the divinity of who we are.  In a world that often looks as if everything is tarnished, unable to shine, we need a lift…a reminder…  “a boost of umphff” that raises us up, vibration and all!

Trail of Serendipity

As often happens when an inspired post is ready to come through me everything leading up to the moment of writing it seems to have flashing lights of connection and relativity.  Today those flashing lights came in tweets from the Twitterverse and a question in another’s blog.

The inspired answer that flowed from within through my fingers to the keyboard was serendipitously aligned with the ‘I AM’ Boost idea.

It’s the same answer that I believe will help with anything we want to manifest…be it a loving marriage, an incredible career, more meaningful relationships, the weight loss we’ve been pining for, the patience and calm of compassionate parenting…etc.!

The answer is LOVE.  And when love is the answer the questions melt away.

LOVE = God = Source = I AM

Pure Love is an interesting thing.  It’s the unconditional kind, the kind that comes without agenda, attachment, worry, regret.  It’s the kind we all need a little more of.  And it’s the kind that there’s an infinite supply of, ready for our receiving in every moment…if only we open ourselves to it.

This love doesn’t depend on anything ‘outside’ to survive.  It’s inside and it’s doesn’t just survive…it thrives.  It’s there 24/7.  All we have to do is tap into it!

The ‘I AM’ Boost puts us there in a fast, powerful, magical way.

Hook Up with I AM

Just chanting ‘I AM’ over and over will give you truth bumps and waves of vibration raising goodness.  “I Am that, I am” is one of the most revered phrases in spiritual circles.  “I Am” is God, Source, Divinity, the ONE and the ALL.  ‘I AM’ is LOVE.

To connect with our ‘I AM’; to give ourselves an ‘I AM’ boost is to connect with the truth of Source within us at all times.  This boost ignites us, lights us up, gives us strength and the power we need to go on.

The vibration of ‘I AM’ is so powerful it can shift even the darkest, gloomiest mood, vibe, situation.

• Try it.

• Be with it.

• Let the LOVE of ‘I AM’ come alive from within.

It’s all there waiting for you.  It’s who you are. You choose to activate it.  Go on.  Give it a try!  Give yourself an ‘I AM’ Boost!!

I’m a little over half way through my first 40 day cycle of chanting, “Om Shrim Maha Lakshmiyei Swaha” 108 times in a row each morning.

I look forward to waking up with Lakshmi.  I light a candle, center myself and call my attention to the energy of Goddess Lakshmi~the energy of prosperity and abundance.

When I finish chanting I sit quietly with Lakshmi.  Most mornings as I listen I receive a message from her.  Many times it comes in the form of an affirmation that I can repeat through out the day that supports manifestation in my life.

Today’s experience was interesting to say the least.  Very telling.

Today I could feel my ‘Inner Lakshmi’ charged and awake more than any other so far.

I literally felt the energy of prosperity and abundance buzzing inside me.  As I was chanting I could feel myself as the magnet.  I could feel the power of magnetizing that which I was attracting to me; in this case money, prosperity, abundance!

What a feeling!

I felt clear, strong, directly empowered.  
I felt happy, secure, self-assured.  
I felt as though when I opened my eyes I wouldn’t be surprised to find hundreds of thousands of $green$ glued to my body.  
The force was that strong.

When I finished chanting and sat in quiet listening I immediately heard, “I am a money magnet.  Prosperity and abundance are attracted to me.”

That felt good.  I repeated this several times:

“I am a money magnet.  Prosperity and abundance are attracted to me.”

And then I noticed something.  The positive charge I felt with it at first was dissipating. It was being replaced by thoughts from my judging mind.

Thoughts that said:

• “Hey, it’s not all about money” and

• “Where’s the consciousness in saying you’re a money magnet?!” and

• “What will people think if they know you’re thinking this way…about money…something so material.” and

• “Money.  Are you sure?  Maybe that’s being a little too greedy.”

As if caught in a tailspin, I started making up other affirmations I was more comfortable with:

• “My conscious inner magnetism is turned on.  Everything I want is attracted to me.”

Yes, and one of the things you want is money.  Just say it.  “I want money.”  There.

• “I am an abundance magnet.  I attract abundance on all levels.”

‘On all levels’ is one I’ll use often with abundance…it’s my way of telling the Universe that money is only part of the abundance   equation.  Like the Universe doesn’t know that already?

It’s MY head trip…I’m the one who doesn’t want to be thought of as money hungry.
Who’s thinking that anyway?  Where does that come from?  Why do I care?

Those are some good questions.  I’m sure Lakshmi will continue to enlighten me.

I am balanced in my perspective of abundance.  Of course I am.  I *so* am.  So why the discomfort with saying, “I want an abundance of money”?

There.  I said it.  “I want an abundance of money.”

Why?

Because having an abundance of money brings grace and ease into my life allowing me flexibility and freedom to be in service, to share with others and to have fun doing it.

Whoa Nelly.  Hold the phone.

What was happening here?  Something important.

Was I really interested in chanting to Lakshmi for prosperity and abundance…of which money is a wonderful part?

After all abundance can mean many things…the “on all levels” thing can and does apply.
What about the prosperity part?
I’m pretty sure that part speaks to the green, dinero, moola, cash.

Here I was switching up a perfectly good Money Mantra to the Goddess Lakshmi to reflect my squirming discomfort around admitting that it’s acceptable for me to be OK with money.
That I’m OK with wanting money.
In the process I created a Money Mantra with all kinds of side bars, disclaimers and clauses.  HAH!

Clear as Mud

I’m sure all of that is about as clear as mud to the Universe.

It’s a wonder I’ve been supported with prosperity to the level I have been!  …and perhaps not as full on as I may be if I just get over myself and get in the vortex* already!
*(Vortex:  The place Abraham says is where everything we’ve ever been aligned with resides.)

Wow.  What an exercise.  Lakshmi means business!

When you’re working with the Goddess of Prosperity and Abundance you can count on finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.  More than once.  Unlimited times.

I believe I found one such pot today.  A pot of gold that reflects:  I am a Money Magnet.  Prosperity and Abundance are BOLDLY attracted to me. Notice how I added ‘boldly’?

Nice.

• I’m clear.
• I’m stating it boldly.
• I’m done feeling uncomfortable with money.
• Money is energy just like everything else.
• I am just as conscious with the energy of money as I am with the energy of everything else.
• Money is good.
• Money assists me in doing good.
• I love money.

You know how it is when something catches your attention and then suddenly it seems you see it everywhere?

That’s how my story with Lakshmi begins.

Near the end of February her image started floating through my awareness; I would randomly realize I was thinking about Lakshmi.  Several days after this I received a Lakshmi email that was being forwarded around talking about the positive power of Lakshmi and the energy of prosperity and abundance.

The email came with a beautiful image of Lakshmi.  I thought, how perfect!  I printed the image to hang next to me while I’m at the computer…it’s where I am.  A lot.  Where better to see Lakshmi’s glowing expression of prosperity and abundance than where I sit to work, write and do what I do.

Package of Three = Pay Extra Attention

I don’t know if you’re counting, but we’re on two Lakshmi encounters.  I wasn’t counting at the time.  And then, on March 5th…just days after I printed my image of Lakshmi the third encounter knocked on my door.  Well actually, she came in through the computer as a post from Good Vibe Coach, Jeannette Maw.

Lakshmi is one smart goddess!  She knew that if she came in through Jeannette for her third entrance that I’d be alert and paying attention.  Jeannette’s post included a “money mantra”.  I read it and immediately unglued my poster from the wall and scripted the mantra across the top in beautiful magenta lettering:  “Om Shrim Maha Lakshmiyei Swaha”.

Jeannette’s post went on to explain how it’s been said that repeating the mantra 108 times in a row each day for 40 days consecutively will bring even more prosperity and abundance into one’s life.  That sounded really good to me.

The Attraction Factor

I consider myself a good money attractor; an overall good prosperity and abundance manifester.  Somehow over the last several years I seem to have gone left of center with my  “in the zone-ness” about money and attracting it.

My relationship with feeling good about attracting money was stressed.

I have my notions about how and why that happened.

What’s important right now is that my awareness of being out of the zone, out of alignment with attracting money has been increasingly apparent.  (I haven’t been attracting much…  and by the way, I in no way attribute that to the current supposed state our our economy.  I accept full responsibility.  I create my reality.  My attraction factor *was* out of sync.  *see?  stepping back in the zone!*)

Who’s that Knocking on the Door??

The timing of Laskshmi showing up is impeccable…downright serendipitous.  She may have been knocking earlier for all I know…if she was, no one was home.  We all know it’s only when we’re lined up with receiving what it is we need that it can actually arrive.

Having Lakshmi’s assistance now just makes it that much EASE-ier to move in the direction I was already headed with GRACE.  It’s like having a buddy to help when you’re moving the big stuff; just so much better to have company.

On the spring equinox I decided to get serious with Lakshmi. I created my mala necklace (108 beads strung together to help track the number of times the mantra is chanted).  Each morning from that day forward Lakshmi and I have been bonding.

That was 18 days ago as of the writing of this post.

I have had some brilliant aha! moments while doing this chanting.  Even more so as I sit in the silence after the chant.  Lakshmi’s energy is so alive and awakened within me.  It’s absolutely palpable, the energy I feel is super hero like.  I’m loving this and I see no reason to stop after 40 days at this point!

AHA!

My first AHA! realization came after the first 3 days chanting.  As I’m typing this I’m laughing because I could just as easily call it a DUH! moment.  :0)

At first it was as if chanting the mantra was like when I get a new pair of shoes.

• They’re not entirely comfortable right away.
• They belong to me, but I haven’t made them my own.
• The shoes feel good to me; I like them a lot…I spend time in them and as the days wear on they become a part of me.
• Suddenly they’re so comfortable it’s as if I’ve been wearing them forever.

That’s what the first few days chanting, “Om Shrim Maha Lakshmiyei Swaha” over and over, 108 times felt like.

I liked it, it felt good…and it wasn’t entirely comfortable or my own yet.

In those first days I felt like I was chanting the mantra to something, some where…outside of me.

This is the AHA! / DUH! moment…

On day four it hit me!

Lakshmi is a part of me.  Lakshmi’s energy is with me, within…all the time.  She’s not outside some where…never was.  She’s inside, a part of Source…where all the GOOD stuff is!

Is she always activated?  Not necessarily.

When I bring my attention to her, to the energy of prosperity and abundance, is that energy within me infinitely available?  ABSOLUTELY!

There it is!

From day 4 onward I felt the super hero charge of Lakshmi ignited within me and she’s been revved up ever since!

I live my life knowing that I have everything I need inside me.  I live my life knowing the truth and power of Source that resides within me at all times.  I know that I am the maker and the creator of my life experience; I relish in that knowing, I am grateful for that knowing.

And yet…  Here I am.  Being blown away by the powerful experience of recognizing the energy of prosperity and abundance within me like I’m meeting it for the first time.

Interesting, yes?  It’s all about layers.  Layer of experience.  Depths of knowing.  Infinite unfolding.  A continuum.  Life is grand.

I am eternally grateful for this AHA! moment.  I’m grateful that I can still be surprised and amazed each time I discover something ‘new’ that was there all the time.

The energy of Lakshmi is newly awakened within me.  The fullest potential of prosperity and abundance is awake within me!  YES!

OK.  So, now that I woke her up…  What next?  What has happened since?

Lots!

1. Unprecedented amounts of fresh energy and inspiration,
2. more perfect clients,
3. unexpected money
4. …and so much more.

Seriously.  In just 18 days!  Love knowing that it’s just going to keep getting better and better!

Just as the mantra comes from a spark of divine inspiration; so too does your voice.

What is your unique voice?

By this I mean, your essence, your spark, that which when ignited tells others without wonder who you are, who you’ve become or are yet becoming.  Your voice is as unique to you as your fingerprint.  Have you claimed your uniqueness?

Finding the voice that is YOU alone will support you endlessly.  When shared, this voice carries a quality of authenticity that builds trust amongst your tribe, your fans, your audience.

Are you using your voice, or that of another?

Do you know what your voice is, or has it been buried for so long you’re not sure?

If you could re-discover your uniqueness, would you be interested?

How could getting clearer with your voice make any difference to what you do?

Would it make a difference if people could feel the real you in your words?

Would it make a difference if people felt a deeper bond of loyalty to you because they trusted your ‘voice’?

I believe the answer to these questions is YES.  And I also believe that when we get a yes; it’s a call to action.  If you’re feeling a yes; then let’s get started!

Call to Action!

Here are some stimulating questions to help in getting clearer with your voice:

• What is the voice you’re currently sharing?

• Is it authentically, uniquely you?
  • If so, what are the things that make that true? If not, whose voice are you using?
  • Why? What are the qualities of that voice that you resonate (vibe) with?

• How could the voice you’re sharing be more accurate to the real you?
  • What could you add that would help others get a better sense of your true essence?

• Has your unique voice evolved over time with growing awareness, changing interests, etc.?
  • Is this an environmental influence of sorts?
  • Would your fingerprint change with changes in your environment?

Dig Deep~

These are not trick questions.  Only questions to have you dig a bit deeper.  Our finger prints don’t change.  They are with us from birth.

Our essence, that which is at the core of our being doesn’t change either.

It’s our life experiences, specifically our perspectives of those experiences,  that change and either bring us nearer or farther to that core essence.  The more aligned our thinking is with our true nature, the more in sync we are with our uniqueness.  Our essence.  Our brilliance.

Are You Listening?

It’s this core that we’re listening for.

This is our voice.  This is the voice we want to bring to every thing that we say or do.  This is the spark that when ignited shines our brilliance for all the world to see…and for our audience to align with as they feel supported in shining their own brilliance.

Isn’t this what we all desire, deep down?  It doesn’t matter what our job, vocation, or talent is.  This applies to them all.  It isn’t prejudiced; doesn’t segregate.  Deep down we all want to be who we are, be recognized and have others be able to do the same.  Consciously.

How can you impart “infinitely more than the mere surface sense of words seems to indicate” as the mantra does?

Simply by infusing your essence, your eternal spark of inspiration into every word you choose.  It’s about layers, depth and truth of character.

A Welcoming Round of Applause for Good Vibe Coach, Jeannette Maw

“What do you want once you realize you can have anything?”  That’s the question posed by Gregg Braden at the end of his two day workshop in Salt Lake City a few years ago.

His answer?  “Nothing.”

Braden shared that once we realize we are all powerful, able to create and experience and be whatever we want, that the strangest thing happens – we stop wanting everything.  Instead, we settle into a life of enjoyment; of not needing anything to change in order to be perfectly satisfied with life.

It sounded inconceivable at first, but I’ve since come to understand (through personal glimpses of that very feeling) what Braden meant.

So the fact that I can also relate to Debra’s experience of feeling overwhelmed with infinite choices puzzles me a bit.

The Choice is up to me…

For example, “If I could live anywhere, is this really where I would pick?”  That’s the question I kept coming back to as my boyfriend and I were buying a home together.  The choice to purchase this particular house was agonizingly slow from Russ’ perspective.

(We walked through it four times over three months despite the fact that on our first showing I declared out loud within seconds of walking through the door, “I’ll take it.”  I lost count of how many other homes we saw.  Plus he has no idea how many neighborhoods I visited without him – not to mention how far I traveled to do that!)

Can you imagine the process I went through of choosing this man as my partner?!  I’ll admit, that partner-shopping was even more fun and I spent lots more time on it than home shopping.  (hee hee)

Because once we know how the world works, once we know we can have whatever we want, that we are all powerful and that nothing is beyond our reach – that simply by imagining it we can create it – that knowledge literally puts the whole world at our fingertips.

Which some of us respond to with hesitation.  For some of us that omnipotent realization is a stopper because we wonder is this really what’s best?  Is this truly what we most prefer?  I mean, if we believe in limits we’re not as likely to ask questions like “Is this the right job for me?” or “Is this surgery the best solution?”

(Duh?!)

I remember when I was working with my mentor coach to build a coaching practice I expressed a serious doubt: “What if, in five years, I decide this isn’t what I want any more?”  That thought, that possibility, was stopping me in my tracks with fear and doubt.

My brilliant coach responded with complete impatience, “Then you’ll choose something ELSE in five years!!  Duh!”

She didn’t really say “duh,” but I did, when I realized how the fear that I might not be making the best possible choice  was keeping me stuck.

Duh, that’s what we do!

Omni-Satisfaction  ~ A Sure Thing

When we have new awareness of new desires, we move forward with those.  We’re never stuck and we’re always evolving.  We get divorced, we change jobs, we hire new doctors, we buy new clothes, we listen to other songs, we go to different restaurants, we follow wherever our true desire takes us.

All we can do is honor what that inner guidance is pointing us towards in the present moment.  Right?

To anticipate future desires is a rather inept guessing game, especially since we may very well run into the phenomenon Gregg Braden describes of becoming omni-satisfied.  (Ooh, I think I made that word up – I like it!)

But even as I write this, I’m thinking perhaps multiple desires make themselves known to us because there isn’t any ONE best answer.  Maybe the path to satisfaction and fulfillment lies in so many ways that we couldn’t miss it if we tried.

Now that’s a nice thought …

As always I so appreciate your spin on things.  I love your new word:  “omni-satisfied”!  It’s good.  Real good.  And yes, I’ve had some gleaming examples of that very feeling in my life…more often than not to be honest…and it feels SO good to recognize and acknowledge that!

I think it’s especially during those “this is a biggie” times of transition when I feel the state of omni-satisfaction waning a bit.  OK, even more than a bit.

It’s during those very times when I’ll now have the reminder of this post and I’ll be able to say to myself…

All things are possible, all of the time…it’s me who decides if I want to be limited in my creation or not.  And I say not.  I say unlimited, always.  It’s me who decides if I want to change my mind two minutes later to choose something else.  (Therein lies the relevance of,  “it’s a woman’s prerogative to change her mind”!)  Most importantly,

• I am loved by me in every choice I make,
• I trust that I make choices with integrity,
• I withhold judgment on myself in all choices, and
• I give myself permission to feel oh so omni-satisfied without questioning if I’ve made the right choice…

Because as Jeannette so poignantly expressed, “Maybe the path to satisfaction and fulfillment lies in so many ways that we couldn’t miss it if we tried.”

Yes.  I’m feeling that!  :0)
