Robert has been busy updating his site Unearthed with some lovely stuff too. Because of Geocities shutting down, (and the thought of Robert’s site getting sucked down a black hole disturbing, with the fact we seem to be a dying breed) he has a second home at Unearthed.rocketworm.com.

So I am planning a re-design! At the moment however, I’m not sure whether to do an Evil The cat based layout or something a bit more light hearted. I will post more about that in the weeks to come.

Updates are now shown in the left and right hand side of the Psy-Crow and Rocket Worm layouts too. Hopefully it’s easier to know when things have been added or changed for visitors too.
I don’t want to spend too much time on this, but it’s been nice to have time to work on things again after passing my Illustration stuff. First time in ages since it felt like a hobby again.

I Finally decided to say goodbye to running a forum of my own…I don’t want to do it any more. Far too much of a distraction. We had some good conversations on it, I met some wonderful people. Thank you for being part of that.
As for the other side to it. Well. Water under the bridge. Just like the trolls who mope around in it.

So here we are…I’ve finished my Illustration masters work. It feels strange even considering a revamp of an Earthworm Jim fan site I knock together as a hobby over ten years, when what I truly want to do is build up my art-folio site instead. So that’s where I am at the moment.

Muffin needs cleaning out today…it’s about time for another hamster Cam I think.

I’m pretty happy for Doug, it’s great news!

Still on Hiatus…still working hard on my book. I’ll be getting the site back on track later this month though. New lick of paint and stuff.

I haven’t done this sort of thing for years…for the life of me I don’t know why…it was fun.
And yeah…I edited this text a bit. o___o I’ve had a knock to my confidence recently and say stupid things.

I could wax lyrical about how many people started up their first ever personal sites on free services such as Geocities…but I won’t. Yahoo have decided to finally pull the plug.

Sadly this means that 8 Earthworm Jim fan sites listed under Inactive Fan Sites will be lost when they do this. So if you want to check them out before they finally kick the bucket…now would be a good time to do it.

BTW if for whatever reason you’re still on Geocities, don’t fall for their Yahoo web hosting plan. You’ll get ripped off. x__x

The second part almost sounded a bit like a reading of the first part of my history section at first. But no – thankfully he’s been original and used his own take on it. Good to know not all EWJ fans are mindless zombies!

Part 2

Speaking as a young woman I do wonder if the games industry will ever get its act back together and stop making sexist rubbish aimed towards 30 year old men. We used to have games that tested your brain and reflexes – now we have 24 hour mmorpg grinds and wall to wall droll shoot em ups. Obviously there are a few gems out there…but honesty. I wasn’t born yesterday. I grew up playing video games.

Until then I’m doing my best to ignore the hundreds of boring Multi Player games, Wii Fit rubbish, cheap spin-off’s, violent crime simulations and other farces out there. I’m just glad I gave that Wii away.
