This has gotten harder and harder for me to deal with as the day gets closer. It's very frustrating having to deal with all of that bullshit he carries with him after I feel like it's finally behind me. The past few years, but especially this last year has been very painful for both me and my kid. I can't just put that aside. He's intermittently paying child support, but while I appreciate it, I can't really give him a lot of credit for something he should have been doing all along. He abandoned my kid for no reason, he could have followed through with the plan, I had plenty of money at the time. He threw our friendship out the window for literally no reason other than to create distance between those who really don't know him at all and those who know him best. As I always thought he would, and as he did in little ways over the years, he chose to hide again when he was vulnerable and his obvious fallibility, that we all have, was out in the open. Only this time, he scorched the earth behind him. There is no taking back all of the things he said, did, or didn't do, not for a person who never apologizes without force, never, ever makes mistakes that hurt or cripples other people. I have never, will never, cannot ever pretend I was perfect or close to it. Yes, I can be a mean, precise, cutting bitch, but I use it considerably less and less with every passing year, and only miss ripping someone to shreds when I've already given up control of a given situation, which brings a lot of guilt and shame with it. My angry bitch phase ended around 2003-2004, and while I can be an asshole when I need to be, I almost never want to be anymore. Anyone who remotely knows me knows I'm typically just sitting here pathetically waiting to have to apologize for something. With him it was no different, I just had to defend myself more than I would have liked to because if you want to save your sense of self with someone who will just keep letting you take all of the blame, you have to find somethings to defend yourself for. Most of those things ended up being all of the same ones he ripped other people apart for thinking about me at various times, whether they were justified or not. But when he turned on me for no tangible reason that is known or understood by me, even that shit went out the window for me. I still periodically blame myself for everything that's happened over the past 17 years, but because I no longer care about losing this person who values nothing that we made or did together, to some degree not even our child, it's been pretty easy to let go of something, someone who dominated half of my life. He hadn't been a good friend for a very, very long time and he hadn't been a very good partner for even longer, the relationship was easy to deal with letting go of as it had been dying for some time. I did believe he valued our connection and friendship. Clearly, I was very, very wrong. I couldn't do what he did to someone I didn't even like very much, not without major guilt and the all of the apologies that would follow, let alone someone I claimed to love for half my life.
I'm hoping him being here will help me to realize I am not the biggest, dumbest, ugliest, fattest, most horrible piece of shit that ever walked the earth. And I don't deserve to wake up and have a constant ache from all of the internal holes I cannot ever seem to fill. I am not the worst person in the world. My intense self-hatred is not warranted. The mistakes I've made in the past are not my whole being. And I should have just said fuck loyalty, I should have just fucked all of those people when I had the chance. Ha! Just kidding about that last one. That was much too serious for far too long which means I've spent too long thinking about this shit right now. Lately it's been bothering me that he was the last person I was with, because he kind of erased everything we ever had it almost feels like it never happened, it's pretty depressing sometimes. While I'm a hyper-sexed person, I have settled into being hard up much better lately, 'cause I know me, and I can't just fuck anyone. Sometimes I wish I could. I'm around 20 year olds all day long, and while some are nice guys and some are even nicer to look at, I just don't think I could get it up for anyone under 25-26 (how old is Brian Boyle again?). Even that young feels weird. I like older men, always have, although I've come to terms with the fact that as far as sex goes, older doesn't necessarily mean better. I swear, I just figured this out recently. Sad. Honestly, I've been so fucking hurt by so many fucking people in my life --I've felt like I was never supposed to be in this world so everyone treats me accordingly -- I don't want to ever let anyone remotely close to me ever again. Everyone hurts, everyone leaves in one way or the other. Eventually, I'll let everyone down and/or everyone will give up on me. I'm just really starting to not give a shit anymore. I'm too sensitive, I care too much to have interpersonal relationships. I seem to attract the kinds of people who will hurt me, so I can't trust my own judgment anymore.

I cry when I think of, feel things getting better for me and my kid. Because our expectations are so low, I worry we're just desperate enough to grasp at almost anything. This is enough to keep me protective and withdrawn for at least a little while longer.

Anyway, all of these things are why I this thing is what it is today. As long as I have to continue to put my life on hold I don't see things changing anytime soon. But I do love you guys. You're at arms length, just where I need you to be. Wish me luck and strength. Thanks for sticking around.

----------------
Now playing: <a href="http://www.foxytunes.com/artist/kurt+vile/track/my+sympathy" title="'Kurt Vile - My Sympathy' - open on Yahoo! It is a bit difficult for me because I don't have a musical background, I'm learning terms and concepts I haven't heard since I was in grade school. Even if I wasn't studying for a test I'd still be listening to this, I've had it stuck in my head for the past 3 days. If I can find more samples of stuff that we're listening to I'll share those too.

I got a 102 on my first test of the semester in Juvenile Justice last week. I should feel good about this, yes? Instead, every time I take a test and do well on it I feel gross, like I somehow cheated. By studying. How fucking warped is that?

Anyway here ya go, such great stuff:

----------------
Now playing: The Velvet Underground - I Heard Her Call My Name
via FoxyTunes

Devils are hanging all over Rangers, I saw three obvious penalties in one shift, and they award NJ a PP. Jesus, I have had too long of a goddamn day for this silly bullshit.

Fucking Christ, it's a good thing we're the better team or we'd be down a goal or two right now. Instead we scored with less than a minute left in the 1st, only seconds after they almost scored. I just want a good, fair fucking game, is that too much to ask for?

My god I love Brian Boyle.

That was the dumbest call I think I have ever seen. I think it was obvious to everyone who saw it thought that was goofy.

DZ!

Fucking lame. This team gets more intentional and unintentional breaks more than any other team in the east, and I mean since their incarnation (or transfer). I hate this team so much I can't even explain it without sounding (more) irrational. If you understand that the Rangers are at the complete opposite end of that spectrum and it might make more sense.

Bleech. Gross. 9-2 in the shootout. 20 points from shoot out wins/losses. What's that tell ya? I'm tellin' ya, I ain't makin' this shit up.

Also, I am not disrespecting Brodeur. He's old, and I feel I should say that. I hate him, but I respect him. This is a rivalry as old as my interest in hockey. I am a Wildcat and I could never hate the Cards in the way I hate that team. I hate the Cowboys, but we don't play them six times a season. There aren't bloody, hardcore fights, on skates, during every other game, you don't have stadiums filled with both teams' rabid fans who live on top of one another. If you're with the Bills you hate many teams. It's hard to get it up for a team that's sucked so bad for so long. I love them, but I'm detached from that team right now, so I'm not including them. Anyway, I fucking hated the LA (Rams) similarly to how I hate this team, but still, for some reason, in the same way basketball is, hockey feels more intimate. It just feels much more meaningful after experiencing several playoff rounds with these assholes, winning or losing, even though I can count the days I've spent in either state on both hands. I've been to many live games, some great playoff games of the Sharks, but for some reason I have more memories of a meaningless game in Columbus between the Blue Jackets and the Rangers than I do at the most exciting game I ever attended (St. Louis/San Jose playoffs '00). I'm just saying, I don't think I love any other team on the planet more than I love this one, and that is punishable behavior here in KY.

I don't think I can take a Blues/Sharks game.

Oh. I read it wrong. The Ravens would have deserved that win if they could have pulled it off, but you gotta be able to rely on special teams if you want to win (duh). I have to say I am a little sick of the fact bandwagoners and newbies have a new place to annoy the piss out of invested sports fans. Look, I am tolerant if you have a genuine interest in the sport and outcomes, but if you're half-assed watching just to be able to have something to contribute in your knitting circle that shouldn't give you the balls to assert your views about a play/team/game in which you have no fucking clue what you're talking about. You're just eliciting groans from those who care about you and providing laughs for those who don't (and those who do, too), but mostly you're causing all knowledgeable fans to have to bite their tongues to keep from engaging with you. Someone who not only has no idea what they're talking about, they couldn't care less about advice or knowledge someone has to offer them since they don't really give a shit about the sport and won't even remember anything you discuss with them 6 months later. I've been watching sports my whole life, intently and knowledgeably for at least 20-25 years, these people come and go, they're often the same fucking people who drift in and out every few years for whatever arbitrary reason. Don't waste your time trying to explain strategy or complicated rules to them, you're only frustrating yourself. But don't shun them outright since they help pay salaries and buy better players. Just nod your head and say, "yep."
Of course, if I'd just do what I really want to do and walkaway from facebook for good, none of this shit would really matter much since that's the only place I experience that type of annoyance.

Man, Drew looks fantastic!!! I know people do, but I feel sorry for those who hate NE. I wish I could go to the Super Bowl.

I hope the better team wins tonight, but I don't have very high expectations.

In my defense regarding the above bitchery, it has been a very, very long time since I cared about a game so much. I love the Pats, even though they're my adopted team, I've loved them since 1996, so they're very important to me. However, I've loved SF since long before I moved to the Bay Area in 1992, and the Bills even longer. I don't remember the last time a Championship game meant this much to me, when they used to mean something to me more often than most people get to experience in their lifetime. So please forgive me, but my teams have sucked for a very long time. The Giants are NOTHING without Eli. The Niners are a complete team that has to work together to win games. And there's the history of the Giants with all of my teams, so please don't talk to me about your 1 game a year stance against the West Coast liberals, whether they be in the form of an East Coast team with a Bay Area native for a quarterback or for the team the you think represents everything you hate. This is sport, asshole, your meaningless bullshit politics don't mean shit when there's a 21 year sports grudge involved. I don't hate the Cowboys because of their affiliation with the worst right-wing cuntbags the RNC has to offer, I hate them because they're the shittiest organization, top to bottom, in the NFL. I know this from years of experience rooting against them, not because they're located in TX.

You can't win Championships without converting on 3rd down.

You already know what I think about that forward progress ruling.

Well that was fun while it lasted. You cannot win games without converting on 3rd down ONE FUCKING TIME, ALEX!

This game is going to give me a fucking heart attack. At the very least a panic attack.

I have no idea what the fuck the Niners are doing on offense, I don't understand any of the calls.

Ullcch, if we lose, what a shitty way to lose.

6 sacks is pretty fucking impressive.

Jesus fucking Christ. Whatta waste.

Special teams, dummies.

I'm kind of hoping all of this shitty weather and thunder/lightning amounts to the satellite going out to spare me the torture.

Yuck. What a shitty way to lose. But it was nice to actually give a shit about the NFC Championship again. Fuck the Giants. Go Pats.

----------------
Now playing: <a href="http://www.foxytunes.com/artist/mot%c3%b6rhead/track/shoot+you+in+the+back" title="'Motörhead - Shoot You In The Back' - open on Yahoo! Someone told me that I'm too over the top with this shit if I'm trying to sell my point of view. I'm not trying to sell anything. Nobody is really reading this crap, this stuff is written out of frustration and to make me feel like I haven't completely abandoned this stupid thing all together. AND, if you know me at all, when it comes to sport, the more over the top the better, regarding great teams, anyway. If I have to stay rational regarding social and political stuff (since losing sight of your goals and your head is counter-productive in the current political climate) I need something to lose my shit about. Anyway, the Rangers are getting fucked, but they're playing through it. So I don't know what I'm bitching about.

Also, I'm so fucking glad I get to watch the NHL network all day today, because you know, I'd rather watch the biases of the other team's announcers rather than from the channels I love and pay a lot of fucking money for.

Brandon Prust is 6'0" tall, 192 (which I think is a little generous) and Chara is 6'9", 255. Watch that hit again. Ridiculous. Where's the matching call/diving call there, since the NHL seemed to be "making a statement" by using the Rangers as examples earlier in the game?

I think we need a Boyle iso-cam in the corner of the screen.

WHHHHHYYYYYY are they refusing to call even obvious penalties on the Bruins? None, not one pp today, and the calls on the Rangers have been mild in comparison to the shit Boston has gotten away with. Look, I like the Bruins, it really stings much less when its another team you root for, but it doesn't make it any less frustrating.

Suspension? Shanahan has been pretty consistent so far this season...

GODDAMN THAT WAS FRUSTRATING TO WATCH, but patience paid off with 3.6 seconds left.

Update:

Julien is right, Ference is not a dirty player, that's why the suspension was only 3 games.

----------------
Now playing: <a href="http://www.foxytunes.com/artist/joy+division/track/dead+souls" title="'Joy Division - Dead Souls' - open on Yahoo! I haven't started any of them, and I don't want to right now, so I'm watching stupid hockey. I could sit here and finish all of the 20 posts I've started over the last few weeks, but it's mostly babbling about my stupid life, and I know one gives a shit about my dumb bullshit, I know I wouldn't if I weren't me. So I'm sparing you, for now, at least. You're welcome.

The NHL Network is the new Vs. The Pittsburgh commentators are truly the dumbest voices in hockey, why would you choose to showcase them, EVER, but especially if the alternative is Sam and Joe?

Also, I would watch Brian Boyle clean his house with the same intensity I watch him on the ice. Jesus, when he's all scabbed up and sweaty, that is a really nice looking giant man.

Why is the league still letting the Penguins get away with murder? Maybe because they're in 7th place? Three points from 9th place (out of a playoff position)?

I am not a very squeamish person, but that footage from Taylor Hall's facial laceration due to an accidental skate to the head in warm-ups just gave me a willies shiver. Look it up if you're curious, 'cause I can't post the shit here. Beeellllehhuuuuaaa.

Must be nice to have different rules than virtually every other team in the league. The Rangers aren't playing great, but it's always hard to tell how well they'd be doing if the game was called fairly. I don't mind losing as long as it's not at the hand of someone not wearing a team jersey.

Also, I've said it before, I'll say it again, I'll always have some love for Neil Smith, but he says some really stupid shit sometimes. First of all, you can't talk about parity in a league that has AT LEAST 6 teams that look to be out of the playoffs in January, but are only 12 points out of 8th, while the top teams have around 20 more points than the shittiest teams. Twelve points ain't a whole lot with 35+ games left. Regardless, you can't even talk about parity in a current season with thirty something games left. Parity means that it's consistently anybody's game. That is not the case at all. The parity you think you see is that 2/3 of the league is shit and they're keeping one another afloat. On top of all of that, why the fuck would you want parity in a league with 30 teams!? That means the talent is spread out so thin across every team that everybody's game is average, there are no stand above all the rest teams. And I say teams because you need at least 1/3 of the league to look and play like top tiered teams, not look and play like the assholes 3 spots out of 8th (just pointing out those could easily be my assholes). I don't know if any of this makes sense, but sometimes I just get fed up with the bullshit that comes out of the 10 mouths they let talk that appear as "experts" year in, year out so I gotta babble about it somewhere, somehow.

----------------
Now playing: <a href="http://www.foxytunes.com/artist/minor+threat/track/small+man%2c+big+mouth" title="'Minor Threat - Small Man, Big Mouth' - open on Yahoo! Although, fuck Rob Martell and Mike Leggo. Leggo has very distinguished reputation as a shill, a careless one at that. Decent officials are getting harder and harder to come by, and it's more and more noticeable every year. The point is the "little" shit matters and they add up quickly when incompetency becomes the norm, making it an obviously unfair game with sliding rules and exceptions, and an expected and pretty much accepted, "Whoops! Sorry 'bout your season," allowance. You lose potential long-term fans, you lose the potential for additional revenue, you lose the potential for parity, which everyone supposedly seems to love so much -- I do not, but mostly because there are waaay too many fucking teams across all of pro sports -- which, obviously means more money to be made for the asshole upstairs. It's all just so dumb and unnecessary.

In case you don't know why this is important is because Dan is one of those classy old school guys who rarely says anything about the officiating or the way the game was called/handled after the fact (unlike his colleague, Drew Remenda, the color guy for the Sharks telecast). He's also very well-respected around the league, so him acknowledging in print there are very costly consequences to preventable mistakes is a pretty big deal. At least it is to me and my ranting and raving.

Jesus, I hope his post is not going to turn out to be eerily prophetic. However, if we let the unstable, shitty teams of the Pacific catch and pass us, maybe we deserve to not make it into the playoffs.

----------------
Now playing: <a href="http://www.foxytunes.com/artist/george+harrison/track/isnt+it+a+pity" title="'George Harrison - Isn't It A Pity' - open on Yahoo! No penalties by NO, my ass. The Niners had been getting fucked on calls all day, but they kept playing through them. That's how you win championships. I truly enjoy watching this team, they are having so much fucking fun out there.
Football is back in the Bay Area!!!

Now somehow I have to watch three games at the same time. I'm 4 for 4 on the day (ManU, UofK, UofL, Niners), I don't know what the odds are of going 7 for 7 (Pats, Rangers, Sharks), but that would be pretty spectacular!

Holy shit! What a win by Brady and the Patriots! Fantastic showing by both the offense and defense. Will they ever learn their god loves San Francisco liberal lefties more than annoying ass-kissing "good ole boys"?

Rangers, Sharks, Pats won. A 7 out of 7 day. It's games like these that make it hard to not believe the Rangers will always get screwed whether in last or first place. Ottawa is tripping, hooking, picking, holding on almost every shift. It's kind of amazing how many breaks they're getting. I mean, I'm just fucking baffled, it feels like 2002 all up in here.

If Sam Rosen is pointing out bad non-calls then it's more obvious than even I thought.

----------------
Now playing: <a href="http://www.foxytunes.com/artist/lykke+li/track/love+out+of+lust" title="'Lykke Li - Love Out Of Lust' - open on Yahoo! Tom as a Ranger fan would be wonderful! I respect his opinion a lot and agree with him most of the time, although I doubt he'd tolerate my views on fixing. I had an email to Tom half written regarding this subject, I was just too chicken shit to finish and send it. I'm terrified of people I greatly respect. Tom makes my shitty Tuesdays, now an intolerable Wednesday is not as crappy. Thanks, Mr. Scharpling.

The Flyers were out after contemplating the idea of joining the ranks of the Philadelphia sporting community. I did like a lot of things about the team’s style from the HBO series, like coach Peter Laviolette telling a player on the Dallas Stars to “go fuck himself,” but there’s no way I make the leap to a team in The World’s Second Angriest City (Number one? Providence, RI!) I don’t have the fortitude for Philly sports. I know my limits.
I completely agree with his ranking there. Only one small thing - I don't think the stands are packed with corporate executives. I'm sure there are plenty on the lower levels, and in the boxes, but those assholes are everywhere, in all sports arenas, the ones in NY are just the most visible assholes with the biggest balls - that's why they're in NY. Just listen to the crowd, mostly, those are regular folk. Rangers fans are amazing. I've met them all over the country, all different types, and they are the most accepting passionate fans who, for the most part, automatically and unassumingly command the respect that comes along with an original 6 team, but they also give it back. Usually. Plus, we have Sam Rosen. With NJ you get Doc and Chico, who are insanely annoying and overactive. Maybe I'll just finish that fucking email.

Sometimes, I think of all of the billions of people who don't get to read/watch the funny things I see/hear and I feel sad. Then I think, many of them would just find the need to either appear they're too cool/uncool to think it's funny, or they wouldn't think it's funny because they are only thinking about when they will get to eat again. Then I feel sadder.

So be thankful for originals like Tom Scharpling, and local grocery stores. Right?

Also, fuck the Devils.

----------------
Now playing: <a href="http://www.foxytunes.com/artist/lykke+li/track/i+know+places" title="'Lykke Li - I Know Places' - open on Yahoo! This dipshit who has decided to try to make the Canadian anthem her song is anything but amazing. Classy as always, Philly, chanting USA after O Canada, groaning during ours. What a great group of folks.

And the sound goes off in 3...2...1...

You know this is a different kind of game when Mike Rupp has scored both Rangers goals. One great thing to take from this game so far: we look really distracted and a little off, but in it enough to be tied in the 3rd. The Flyers look like they're giving it their all, really struggling with the pace and they just gave up their lead. I've thought it all along, but this game sure does give the impression the Rangers are just a better, more steady and solid team overall.

And now they're behind.

Also, it has been amazing here all day. The small flakes are not sticking, but it's been flurrying all day long. Now the temperature has dropped and slowly the there is a thin blanket of snow on the ground. That is until the crazy wind comes and blows it away. Before we went down to catch the bus this morning she asked me when it was going to snow again. She's asked me this every couple of days since the beginning of December. I always tell her, "soon, we'll just have to wait and see," but we've have had 50/60 something degree weather most of the month, so we haven't even come close to getting our hopes up. When she asked me this morning, I had no idea there was a chance of anything, as the last time I had checked the forecast it was supposed to be more of the same, we had even discussed it at the table yesterday. So when I came back in from warming up the car and told her it was flurrying she didn't believe me at first, but she got very excited once we got out in it. Of course, by the time she got off the bus this afternoon she had all but forgotten how much she had missed it just a few hours earlier. So even though she's over it, I am still very much excited by the weather and the start to this year. I think I might go for a walk in the woods if this shit keeps up! After the game of course.

Do doubt, that was a ridiculous call on the delay of game. I love hearing the Rangers fans every so often, like on the PK clear, there must be several thousand of them.

Also, that was clearly hooking on Mary, they really want a tie game and a shoot out.

WOW!!!!!! ABSURD. This league is such a fucking joke.

Way to sell your sport. Sell it as a sham. WE'LL DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO RUIN THIS SPORT. Come join us!

FUCK YOU YOU FUCKING FUCKS!!@! Lundqvist is the best goalie in the league, but nice try.

Yeah, keep shitting on NY, NHL. Keep revealing what dumb cunts you all are who don't give a shit about hockey.

RANGERS WIN!!!!! FUCK YOU, NHL! FUCK YOU, BETTMAN!

Seriously, I know this game is supposed to be fun and all, but these are two teams who will be battling the entire season and maybe after. This ain't no fucking exhibition game, dammit. These were two important points. AND...No. 1, yo.

----------------
Now playing: <a href="http://www.foxytunes.com/artist/electric+light+orchestra/track/dont+bring+me+down" title="'Electric Light Orchestra - Don't Bring Me Down' - open on Yahoo! It's a wonder anyone who isn't from there likes any of their teams at all. Even if I like the team/players I'd be so embarrassed to call myself a fan of those teams, lump myself into that horribly shitty group of people. And I know people from Philly, I like them even (Jon Wurster, who I don't know, but is from the area, is one of my most favorite people on the planet), but ironically none of them are sports fans.

Did you really think Lindros would dare play in that town in a RANGERS jersey, really? Come on it's not that big of a deal, other than those who ripped him to shreds in a pretty disgusting personal way can feel better now that all is forgiven since he picked the right team. Yeulchh. Blech.

Maybe they should try one year to do it in a non-NHL town, possibly even one that is between two cities that have large hockey populations (not just pro), actually bring in some new money and not reward horrible sports towns like Philly?

Sorry. Some cunt just pissed me off in the parking lot as we were leaving the store. We were in such good moods I decided to not let her get to me, so I think I took it out on the entire sports population of Philadelphia. The sports town I love to hate. It's right up there with Dallas. They could donate all of their money to charity, they guys could all play for free, they could donate all of their organs to people most likely to give more money to charity, I would still hate them.

Also, this game is so stupid and impossible to watch.

----------------
Now playing: <a href="http://www.foxytunes.com/artist/the+rolling+stones/track/play+with+fire" title="'The Rolling Stones - Play With Fire' - open on Yahoo! I love this shit. The entire time I'm watching these episodes I'm thinking 'I just saw this! That just happened!' I don't know why this is so shocking to me, but context is always great. When the fuck did these kids become men? Sexy, age appropriate men? When the fuck did Brandon Dubinsky get so hot? Weird. I love that Callahan family. My fucking god, how can you not love the fucking Rangers. You can not tell me this team is magical, they just are, even when they lose. And of course, somehow, I didn't know it was possible, but I fucking hate the Flyers more now than ever. Must not see the enemy as human, must destroy.

Bryzgalov's Eastern Europeanish straight forward false innocence originally seemed charming (I stupidly, usually seem to fall for that shit), it now seems more like he really has a screw loose.

One thing I've taken away so far is, my fucking god are those officials chumps, worse than ever. The game as a whole is in trouble if they don't address this incompetent bullshit. I can't wait to see what they show of the argument Tortorella had with them last night. Truly embarrassing.

Cannot wait for the next one.

This was written mostly Wednesday, it is now Friday, and I'm watching the Flyers/Rangers game. I expect this (me) will get really annoying.

If you can stand things that come from Stan Fischler's brain for longer than 15 seconds at a time you can read this.

Well, this game was way too easy for a Flyers/Rangers game, but I don't like how some shifts let up toward the last quarter of the period. Two points are two points, but it could have been a better effort by the Rangers.

I am not looking forward to the LA/Sharks game later, but I do what I gotta do: take some flexeril and zone out to the west coast rivalry that will dissolve next season, which I still don't know how I feel about, but my initial reaction was it's STUPID for a million reasons, but it might be interesting. I just think that those who make decisions for this league are not only wrong at least 75% of the time, I think their decisions are never made with the fans or league as a whole in mind which is why even with growing popularity, this league still makes much less money than it should be making.

Also, top of the Atlantic, for now, mofos.

Man, the Sharks are getting fucked in this game. But they have to play better than this. How's that for insight?

----------------
Now playing: <a href="http://www.foxytunes.com/artist/the+cure/track/shiver+and+shake" title="'The Cure - Shiver And Shake' - open on Yahoo! Sorry - scatterbrained and broke, plus, who cares? We even forgot turn on the the singing SpongeBob menorah light last night (I'll post a picture if I feel stupid enough to take one). I kind of love my long-term almost step-dad (of 17 years, who's a Jew) in a weird from a comfortable distance sort of way, but I couldn't give a shit about any religious part of any holiday regardless of who in my life happens to be what. And weird.

Came on right after the 3rd quarter started. The tone did not match the mood on the screen.

This game is annoying, I want it to be over already so we can hear how god just likes hot west coast liberals more than good churchies from a Southern military missionary family. I've stated here how I feel about most missionaries, but especially military missionaries, so I'll just let that frustrating topic go. Anyway, I'm sure they're very nice people who think they're well-meaning, it's nothing personal, really, but the last thing I want in my football is religion and politics. Which is a hilariously ridiculous thing to want or ask for. I'll just be glad to not have to hear about it 'til at least Tuesday.

Also, I just remembered this, so I'm sharing. One morning, I had left my room before my mom walked out of the bathroom (she uses my shower in the morning- I'm not saying shit, I gotta roof over my daughter's and my head) as a demo (really rough) version of a Fucked Up song was playing on my computer/stereo (I don't remember which one). As I passed by her when I walked back in, she mumbled, "that was the worst thing I've ever heard in my life." It made me laugh so I hard I felt guilty about it. I think they're one of the best current punk bands going, and it wouldn't seem right if my mom didn't think it was the worst thing she'd ever heard. Jesus. A goal with a tenth of a second left to save a point for the Pacific Division Sharks and a regulation win? It was very satisfying to see the same dumb look across the faces of all of the Coyotes still lingering on the ice when they called it. This has been the most exciting season of Rangers hockey in a decade. And we haven't even played the Devils yet!!! And it's only December!
That is all, 'cause that's all that needs to be said (although highlights might help make the point).

Here:

Sometimes I wonder if others might find something I'm thinking funny, only after I've found it funny, obviously. I get a swell, happy feeling for a split second and then it turns into a comforting sort of self serving snicker because I don't really give a shit if anyone else thinks so. That's why I'm not a comedian. Well, one of many reasons, but that's one. Apparently, in my non over-thinking silly moments alone, I think I'm kind of funny...to me, that's something. Why that part of me is not around when I'm with people I don't know, I haven't figured out. What the fuck was I talking about? I was going to post something funny, but completely forgot what it was.

The Sharks are about to have a comeback win in regulation. That's not funny, but it is happening. I'm typing this with 7:29 seconds left in the game. I'm too tired for this kind of hockey.

Winter Classic, coming up. 24/7 on HBO, watch it. Fuck YEAH, Rangers! Sleep soon. Soooon.

That was a nice win. That's all I got. Fuck you too. And also, I love you. Not you. Good night. Flexeril is friendly. I hate my back. That's it.

----------------
Now playing: <a href="http://www.foxytunes.com/artist/leonard+cohen/track/night+comes+on" title="'Leonard Cohen - Night Comes On' - open on Yahoo!
