What is the Adult Classics? For those new to the league the adult classic is for those beginner adult players. A spot is scheduled for every Saturday at 7 p.m. If you thought you might want to try hockey, this is perfect for you. Both men and women are welcome. The best part, there is no fee to play. Yes free! It’s skate at your own risk, open hockey style. Full hockey gear is recommended.

Just a reminder, all players need to be at the rink 20 minutes before the start of their game. Please do not show up at game time. We have four games played at night and it’s important for the games to start on time. If your unable to attend a game, please let your coach know.

2012 East Fishkill Roller Hockey Scholarship

The East Fishkill Roller Hockey Club prides itself on being a community based not-for-profit organization. Living up to this reputation, the club is pleased to announce, once again, that we will be offering one $500 secondary school scholarships this 2012 season.

To qualify, the applicant must be a graduating high school senior, must have participated in the East Fishkill Roller Hockey Club’s in-house program during the past or present and plans to attend a four-year, two-year or vocational school full-time in the fall with 12 or more credit hours. The applications will be collected and given to non-biased individuals for review. The review team will then decide if any of the applicants are qualified to receive the scholarship award.

Print out the application and submit your form by June 15, 2012. Good luck applicants!

Insurance Paperwork Needed

Any player that still hasn’t handed in their birth certificate and signed USARS insurance form will not be allowed to play in their next game.

Please hand in any paperwork to your coach. Your coach can provide you with a blank Insurance form if you have not signed one yet.

Opening Day – Saturday, April 21

Games/scrimmages will start at 10 a.m. weather permitting. Division times are posted on the calendar. If it rains we will set up under the pavilion to collect forms.

We will be collecting USARS Insurance Forms and a copy of one form of either a birth certificate, a license or a passport for all players, refs, and score keepers. Every player needs to have a completed insurance form and proof of age in order to play in next week's games. If you played in the Fall 2011, we already have a copy of your proof of age, but you most complete a new 2012 insurance form. If your not sure, bring another copy with you. Feel free to print out the 2012 USARS Insurance Form to bring with you as well. We will also have copies at the rink.

Equipment Swap: We will have used equipment dto take for free! Feel free to bring any equipment of your own if you would like to donate. Any item that is left will be donated or thrown away.

New Equipment: We will also have NEW HOCKEY GEAR for sale. Below is the list of new items that will be set up at the rink. If you would like to purchase any new item, it will be a CASH ONLY sale.

Spring Season Update

Registration has officially ended and teams will be drafted Today. Coaches for all divisions should attend except Atoms and Adults. Players will be contacted by their coach once the draft has concluded. All teams and coaches will be posted on the website under Game Info.

Scrimmage games will begin the week of April 16. Times and teams will be posted on the calendar.

Opening Day is April 21. Please try to attend as you will need to fill out the 2012 USARS insurance form. Make sure to bring a copy of your child's birth certificate or passport (if available). If you played in fall 2011, we already have a copy if your birth certificate. However, you still need to fill out the 2012 USARS insurance form. Jerseys will be handed out on Opening Day. Times for each division will be posted on the calendar.

We will also have an equipment swap. If you have any items that you would like to donate, please bring it to opening day. Any equipment left will be donated or thrown away if not in great shape.

Games will start April 23, weather permitting. All games will be posted on the calendar and updated with rain outs.

Coaches are needed this spring season for the Mite, Junior and High School divisions. Please contact Kim McDonald (vp@efrhl.com) if you are interested in coaching or helping out as an assistant. All head coaches receive one credit for each team coached for the next roller season that you or your child plays.
