1. You can right-click on any link on your bookmarks page and choose "Open in a new window" or "Open in a new tab".

2. While adding the bookmark (or while editing the bookmark), you can specify that the bookmarked site has to be opened in a new window. Now a simple click on the bookmark will open it in a new window.

3. On your Profile page, you can select one the 3 options – a. open all sites in same window, b. open all the sites in a new window, c. use the saved setting. If you set the 2nd option here, all your sites will open in a new window always.

As you can see, you enjoy a vast variety of ways in which you can access your bookmarked sites with easyBM, your favorite online bookmarking manager.

• The first one has been requested so often. While we do have a provision to open any bookmark in the same window or a new window, users wanted to have a simplified way to set all of them to open in the same or new windows, specially when they had imported these. Now you can just head over to the profile section and specify your preference.
• You can now collapse all groups in 1-click. If you think you have several groups open and are wanting to simplify the view, just collapse all groups and then open selectively.
• You can also expand all the groups with 1-click. This is very useful when you are trying to locate a particular bookmark. Expand all the groups and press ctrl-F to search for your required bookmark.

This plugin is very easy to install and lets you bookmark the page you are currently browsing very easily. Just click on the bookmark icon in the right side of the status bar and a pop-up window will open up. Choose the group where you want to add this site and edit the title and description. A simple click on "Save Bookmark" will save it for you.

Have you ever wanted to visit some of your favorite sites with a mobile phone because you needed to check that important thing? Or as it happened to me recently, access your server control panel while in a meeting? I am sure you have felt the pain of having to remember that cryptic URL and type it on that cramped keyboard. Missed your desktop because you could just open your easyBM bookmarks page and clicked once to open the site? Now you can relax.

What's more – you don't have to remember a new URL for mobile access. Just visit your regular URL like www.easyBM.com/username and the system auto-detects that you are visiting the site from a mobile and redirects you to the special mobile version of the site.

I am sincerely hoping this will make your life a little simpler. If you enjoy the new feature or encounter a bug, please do write to us from the feedback section (only available in the desktop version – you don't want to type all that in your mobile).

While I can understand that most of the people sign-up with a free email account fearing that we may spam them (which we don't as the existing users can tell you), this statistic did come to me a big surprise. Do you agree that Gmail is now the most popular email service or you or you can think of some other reason why I am seeing so many sign-ups with gmail.com addresses?

Do you need this RSS feed too? Can you think of a way to use this feed? Do remember that the feed will be password protected (accessed by providing the username and password as part of the feed URL). You can either give your request through the feedback option or by putting a comment on this post.

Once the easyBM extension is installed, you can add the page you are presently viewing to your easyBM bookmarks by simply right-clicking anywhere on the page and selecting Add link to EasyBM. You can provide a title and description, and indicate the group to which you want to add this link. You can also click on the small graphic in the right side of your status bar (the graphic looks like the easyBM icon) to directly bring up the Add to bookmarks dialog box.

I sincerely hope this will help you use the easyBM system much more easily and make it as quick to add the favorite links as it is to visit them.

My apologies for disturbing you with this request, but it seems that the EasyBM.com service has become inoperable today. When I log in to the site – as I do every day, because as you may remember from our previous correspondence I am a very satisfied user of this fine service! – I get the following error message:

I hope there will be an easy solution for this problem, because living without EasyBM would be a great loss of productivity!

1. In view of this, we will add some extra checking to the registration page which might be like jumping through an extra hoop for the genuine users. I sincerely apologize for this but it is needed to make sure that we can continue to offer the services to real people like you.

2. We are also going to make it compulsory for people to add at least one favorite site to their bookmarks page, within 2 days. Why else did you register my friend, if you do not want to add 1-click browsing to your arsenal? All accounts without a single bookmark for 2 days will be deleted.

Note: Your account is safe and free for life if you are using it regularly and have at least 1 bookmark added to your account.

If you want us to include a new feature, you can tell us through this option only. Feel free to be frank, I get to see all responses directly and we will be happy to include any popular ideas.

I want to take this opportunity to request you to invite your friends to use EasyBM to bookmark their favorite sites. This way they can also 1-click for quicker Internet travel.

New feature alert

Once you click on the Daily group name, all the sites under this group will open in new windows. If you want to open these in new tabs instead of new windows and you have a browser that supports tabs, you can configure your browser to open new windows in new tabs. This way you can maintain some order.

Note: If your group has more than 10 bookmarked sites, you will get a warning about this. You can go ahead or abort at this time.

We want to help you bookmark your favorite links easily and quickly and 1-click to these sites when you want.

I want to announce our most important update in the recent times. We have implemented the multi-column, multi-row stacked layout that will make this bookmarking tool extremely useful for the most demanding user.

For quite some time, I have been worrying about the wastage of space in the lower half of the screen when your groups have few sites each.

I have been silently testing a layout that will help reduce this space wastage. This multi-column, multi-row layout helps you to squeeze many more links above the fold, thereby making it easy for you to 1-click even more sites.

How to get your groups stacked for better organization

You have to be a little adventerous. While we are working on an easy interface for this, you will have to play a little with numbers for now.

- First you must login to your easyBM page with 'Remember me' ticked.

- Now enter this in the location bar (or address bar) ->www.easybm.com/stackform.php

- You will see a screen like the following ->

We want to have Forums group in the 2nd column at the top, so I put 2 in column and in row fields. Now I want Blogs group in the same column but after Forums. So I put 2 in column and 2 in row fields.
Similarly, you can see how we implement stacking in the 4th column. You may have noted that column 3 is missing. Actually the numbers have to be in ascensding order but all numbers do not need to be present.

There you are. If you are feeling adventerous and want to make the best use of the screen space, you can implement stacked groups and 1-click to many more sites.

We have this site put up on the HEDIR forum for reviews and a nice lady, Aunt Renee  recently mentioned that EasyBM sounds like an acronym for easy bowel movement.

While this is an amusing comment, I want to assure you that we will continue to offer an Easy BookMark service only and do not intend to offer products for easing your bowel movements

However if you are using a PDA or a mobile to browse the Internet, you cannot see multi-column data easily. So we have introduced a new way to see your favorite links and browse to your target sites on your handhelds. If you visit
http://www.easyBM.com/mobile/?u=USERNAME&pwd=PASSWORD, you can see all your links in a single column. Just scroll down to your desired site link and click with the joystick or OK button.

For best results, keep the number of links in this account low and put only the links that you will like to browse with your handheld. Also, if you set the homepage of your mobile to this page, you will have all the links ready, right in front of you when you access the browser.

We already make it easy for you to locate the frequently visited links by grouping them together. Now we are pleased to offer you several new link highlighting options.

While the default color of the new bookmarks will be blue, you can make important links red or green or whatever tickles your fancy. You can also have the system make certain links bold or italicised by choosing the appropriate options while adding or editing the links.
