Texas State Fair | Recap

2017-11-04T17:54:00.001-05:00

Hey!

I don't remember much of the last time I went to the state fair but it was years ago. I defiantly don't remember these flying carts! These are very convenient when the its super crowded to get from point A to point B.

The fair came and went. This year I got to go two times, which was awesome. I went with co-workers first then went with my parents. Food was top priority and that's exactly what we spent all of our tickets on. Don't get me wrong the fair is pretty expensive but its totally worth every penny. One thing for sure is that I will never go on the last day of the fair. It was so crowded that you could barley walk and don't even get me started on parking that's a whole other story.

I am for sure in the future when I make some hard earn cash my next car will be a JEEP.

F O O D R E C A P

+ most important part +

f r i e d a v o c a d o

+ tastes better with the spicy sauce that it's served with because by itself it doesn't taste very good.

m e x i c a n f i r e c r a c k e r

+ basically a fried tamale in the shape of a taquito same as the fried avocado the sauce make it taste way better.

c h i c k e n f r i e d l o b s t e r t a i l w/ c h a m p a g n e g r a v y

+ NOT WORTH IT! This was the most expensive food I tried it was around 64 tickets. To me it lacked in flavor didn't taste good it needed some spicy sauce or something.

f u n n e l c a k e b a c o n c h e e s e b u r g e r

+ YA'LL this is a game changer! I would defiantly split this with someone. It's hard to grab like a regular burger so I just cut pieces out. It was good and very filling. I wish I could of tried it hot because by the time we found a seat to eat my food was cold, but none the less it was delicious.

f r o z e n l e m o n a d e

+ A MUST! I was on the hunt for frozen margaritas but all I kept finding was the one in the pouch so I settled on a frozen lemonade and I was not disappointed. Usually lemonades are very sweet and give me a headache later on due to too much sugar but this one hit the spot and was not sweet it was just perfect.

Did you go to the TEXAS STATE FAIR?

See you next year BIG TEX!

POPSUGAR Must Have Box June 2017

2017-07-15T22:18:00.001-05:00

POPSUGAR offers theses great boxes filled with goodies from beauty, food, fashion, fitness and home.

This is a subscription box that costs $39.95 a month.

COUPON: SHOP5 to save $5 off your first box.

I received this box a few days after I left on my trip to California which I was bummed. I could have used the pretty water resistant bag, the mermaid sea salt spray for those days I went to the beach, and the aloha hat to block the sun from eyes.

After opening the box the Mini Cookie Stash cookies and the Starbucks Frappuccino never had a chance. Those cookies were delicious I quickly went online to see where I could buy them.

Hey Ya'll

I was so happy to get an email last week with a notice from Influenster telling me I got chosen to review this sweet box of Bite Beauty goodies. If you don't know what Influenster is, GIRL, where have you been. It is an amazing website where you basically fill out a couple of surveys then wait to see if you are chosen to review the next VoxBox. Then if you are chosen you just have to review it and share your thoughts on the product. Its that simple.

Well inside this box we got two lip pencils, two lipsticks and a pencil sharpener.

*Whiskey - Dark Vampy Color

*044 - Lip Pencil

*Honeycomb - Nude Color

*020 - Lip Pencil

I haven't had the chance to actually apply them to my lips but just by swatching them on camera for the first time they were so creamy and super pigmented.

Check out my YouTUBE Video.

- Jenn Proske

Hey ya'll I know its been a hot minute aka several months since my last post. I wanted to do share with you all my gift guide for valentines day and why not throw in my birthday wishlist as well. Let me just say having your birthday be the same day as valentines day can sometimes be interesting. I have always pretty much spent my birthday / valentines day with my parents ever since I can remember. I have never had a special someone to go to dinner with on Valentines Day and thats okay it's taught me to treat this day as a "treat yo self" kinda day. But this year is going to be different I am actually going out of town to celebrate in another city which I will hopefully have many, many pictures to post on all my social medias.

So I hope my picks give you some kind of inspo on what to get your special someone.

BeautyCon TX 2016

2016-04-28T15:24:00.005-05:00

Hello everyone!

I completely forgot to post my BeautyCon Texas experience. Well it was 10x better than last years event! The event space was bigger and this year they had 30+ vendors unlike last year where they only had I think 5 vendors it was ridiculous. Recap: My bestie and I were invited by BeautyCon to attend the event and a pre-party a day before BeautyCon. I was super excited about being invited to a BeautyCon Pre-Party! Well we got to the event which was at The House of Blues (never been there). We walked into the event and outside was this promotional wall with all the sponsors names on it that people could take pictures. Once was got all our glam shots in we made our way into the event and whoa there was a lot of people and so many youtubers! This is where we got to take pictures with some of our favorites youtubers instead of the day of BeautyCon.

You guys have no idea how long I have waited to meet these lovely ladies! Ive been following them since the beginning. Latinas represent!

@lupescuevas @ashleymeza_

Ah we super nervous to talk to Jeanine but in the end go the courage to talk to her.

+Jeanine Amapola

We also met Baddie Winkle. The baddest!

+BaddieWinkle

AH we met Remi and had a small chit chat with her she's so cool.

@missremiashten

At the Party they had a photobooth which was freaken awesome.

The day of the event we got there pretty early and the instructions we were given by email didn't help at all. The people at the event didn't even know what kind of pass to give us. We eventually got the friends and family pass. The first place we had on our list was the Tarte Booth and there was already a line at that booth probably the longest line we stood in. While we where waiting in line we got interviewed by QVC for their Youtube channel. We noticed at the Tarte Booth that last years prices where way cheaper than this years but oh well its still discounted makeup.

I did vlog this day and the video is up on my channel | VLOG

HAUL VIDEO | THE GOODIES

PLENTY OF PICTURE OPPORTUNITIES =)

Longest line again this year was the FOOD LINE! The food ended up getting us kinda sick.

Got to meet the lovely Ally! She was the sweetest!

+FashionByAlly

This pictured moved so if you want to see it in action go to my INSTAGRAM. Need I say more I mean YOUTUBE SQUAD GOALS!

Overall I had a good time! I hope to get invited next year. =)

Hello,

So my birthday is just around the corner. Okay it's less than a month away but still it's creeping up on me. I can't believe that I will be turning 25, that is a quarter of my life. I'm perfectly content just getting balloons and my birthday cake. I like giving more than receiving.

3. Number Balloons (Gold)

4. Frends Layla Headphones

5.Fujifilm Instax Instant Smartphone Printer

6. Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Instant Camera

So those are just a few items I am lusting over. I really want those number balloons I may even buy them for myself. =)

Mini Vacation

2015-04-27T23:14:00.000-05:00

My moms birthday was on the 20th and so we decided to go to the casinos. My dad and I get these complimentary hotel cards every now and then but we never use them so this time around we decided to use it and low and behold we got a great view room for FREE. We stayed at the Winstar Casino hotel for two days all complimentary.Sadly the pool was closed. I was really looking forward to dipping my toes in the water. I even bought a new bathing suit but sadly I didn't get a chance to do what I wanted but anyways I did however go broke on the slot machines.

My parents and I got sucked into a slot machine that was so much fun I won $80 twice but silly me kept playing the winnings and I ended up loosing it all. But I like to think positive so I'm not sad I lost all my money because it was fun while it lasted.

I do hope one day to play the tables. I hear you can really win some big money playing the tables. Until then I will save all my pennies to go to the casinos again soon.

YSL Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils | Influenster

2015-04-09T10:00:00.000-05:00

Hello! I was luck enough to try this mascara through Influenster. If you don't know what Influenster is , it is a website where you can fill out surveys and give your own feedback on products you have tried and based off of the surveys and badges you earn you may qualify for future Influenster boxes which is by the way FREE.

I will leave my referral link HERE if you are interested.

When I first applied the mascara I could instantly noticed the difference in my lashes. It lengthens and separates my lashes. It is very light weight and ease to take off at the end of the night. I am very pleased with the outcome of this mascara. It was my first time trying a really high end mascara. It was nice to try but Im not so sure I would buy it again based on solely the price.

But the packaging was slick and GOLD. Need I say more its freaken gold people! I feel like royalty using it. So fancy.

Have you tried YSL mascaras?

"I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes."

IPSY Collection

2015-04-02T10:00:00.000-05:00

Hello, so I may have a slight problem with overflowing amounts of makeup bags thanks to IPSY. Today I decided to part with some of them. I've given many away to family and friends and these are the ones I have left. I am going to keep some but most of them I will be donating. I have been with IPSY since the very beginning. Oh gosh thats a lot money now that I think about it.

If you didn't know IPSY is a subscription service of $10 per month. In each bag you get I think about 4-5 sample products sometimes even full size products which is awesome.

Which one is your favorite?

BeautyCon TX Experience & Haul

2015-03-18T00:22:00.000-05:00

Hello Everyone! I know it's been a while since I last wrote a blog post but here I am again and today I wanted to share my experience at BeautyConTX! This was my first ever Youtube event to attend. My expectations for this event were very high. I had spent days before the event searching "BeautyCon Hauls & Vlogs". When the day arrived I was more than ready.

My bestie and I arrived at the building where the event was going to be held at and the Pro & Platinum ticket holder line was crazy long. Now my bestie and I had General Admission ticket that we had bought during the presale which was in January. So we have been waiting a long time for this event to happen. We were also BFF Club Member which allowed us to have early admission (9:30am). To me the event was pretty empty, vendor wise. I really wished they would of had more vendors. From all the videos I had watched I was expecting a lot more giveaway product, such as the whitening toothpaste and maybelline products. The lines were SUPER long it was crazy! I'm glad we got the early admission because we didn't have to make a line at any of the booths we went too. I could go on and on how my experience was in writing but why don't you guys just watch my video.

My video on my experience pretty much tell you guys how everything was CLICK HERE and if you would like to watch my vlog video you can CLICK HERE.

All in all it was a great experience I got to meet so many Youtubers that I admire and watch all the time. To finally be able to meet them in person hug them, talk to them and take pictures with them was truly the highlight of my day. I had a great time and I hope BeautyCon comes back to Texas!

I have a lot more pictures so I will defiantly be updating this post some more =)

Did you go to BeautyConTX?

Comedy Night | Anjelah Johnson

2014-11-13T20:09:00.000-06:00

hello
My best friend invited me to go see Anjelah Johnson a while ago. Well I'm finally going to share with you guys my experience. IT WAS AMAZING! I have never been to a comedy show and when I heard it was Anjelah Johnson that was performing I could not say no. I loved her ever since "bon qui qui" and "beautiful nail". The whole show was super funny. At the end of the show a crowd of us waited and waited to see if she would come out and greet us and maybe get a picture. So we waited and nothing we finally decided to check and see what was happening. We went back upstairs and there she was with her manager and two police officers . She waved to us as she left. We were totally bummed we couldn't get a picture but we caught up to her and asked for a picture and she was like "Yeah sure hurry hurry" so us and a bunch of other girls waiting outside followed her to her car where we all go a chance to take group pictures.
