Meridia (sibutramine) is a selective noradrenaline and serotonin reuptake inhibitor, which is FDA approved to reduce weight. This is a class of drug that works in the intestine to block the absorption of fat into the system. His goal is to figure out how people can get healthy, and in this instance, how people can get great looking abs like you see Hollywood stars such as Taylor Lautner has. He claims that it is his goal to find you the fastest, smartest, and best ways to gain the advantage and start shaping your abs today.

Zinczenko promotes this diet as a 6 week program that is designed to give anyone great abs and keep them lean and healthy at the same time. He actually goes as far to guarantee it, so make sure that you take him up on that if you don’t see results.

The program has never been published before, and is his own creation to turn belly fat away and sculpt abs that anyone could be proud of. However, the Abs Diet is based on the same principle as many other diets: feed the body, don’t starve it. With this diet, you supposedly can eat more and weigh less, turn fat into muscle (that’s not really possible), and look and feel younger by the time that all is said and done.
How much of this is actually possible or true is debatable, and the effectiveness of the diet will vary based on each person who tries it as well as if they invest the full effort into the program or not. It has been said by many that it is nearly impossible to target a specific part of the body for fat loss. While you can do some exercises to help build up you abs, they will never show through unless you get rid of the fat that is covering them. And that is only going to happened by reducing your overall body fat percentage, not just stomach fat.

The Abs Diet also claims to be fast and safe, but any diet that is fast is usually going to have its red flags. The book can be purchased through his website, or through almost any website that sells diet books. He goes on to claim that when you feed your body lots of protein and fat, it will respond by turning away the fat and using the protein to build muscle. Since the body gets fat in the diet, it doesn’t need to store as much, which leads to fat loss in the end. Whether or not it will work for you is your call, but it seems effective enough.

With so many types of diet available today, many people are looking for something that have scientific basis. Although most of the diet today have chemical reaction and scientific studies, a blood type based diet sounds more impressive as scientifically inclined than the rest of the diets in the market. Eat right type diet focuses on the blood type of the individuals; hence food intake and exercises should be complimentary to the blood type.

This diet encourages individuals to program their food intake and exercises in accordance to their blood types

Blood type O
Load up in fish, meat and poultry. People who have this blood type should have dynamic exercise.

Blood type A
- Individuals of this blood type should be on the vegetable diet. They are advised to eat their leafy greens and get involved in gentle exercises.

Blood type B
Moderate exercise and more flexible choices of food. Individuals under this blood type can indulge in low fat dairy products, meat and vegetables

Blood type AB
This blood type is the most modern type therefore seen as the most sensitive on the digestive system among blood types. Individuals under this category should avoid meats such as chicken and beef but encouraged to eat seafood and dairy. Recommended exercise should be those calm exercises like yoga

The author of this diet, Peter J. D’ Adamo claims that foods eaten against the category of blood types can cause illness such as cancer. According to him, diets should be unique and based on the primary bloodline history. The blood types were compared to those of the ancestors

Type O
as the oldest therefore follows the appetite of the ancestors for meat

Type A
is according to him can be tracked down to the settlers. These are the kind of individuals who maintains farming therefore the blood type A’s appetite are more on the farm produce

The nomads are those having the blood type B. With the type of lifestyle they have, they are considered of less sensitive stomach and moderate in physical activities.

In addition, the blood types are prone to specific diseases; therefore the foods should be adjusted accordingly.
Eat right type diet, according to critics contradicts scientific explanations of history and blood. Although critics questions the relationship of blood and health illness, many people still prefer to choose eat right type diet because of the feedbacks on its effectiveness.
Foods that are high in protein and fiber are the best kinds of food to eat if you want to burn fat around your middle.
Did you know that it takes more energy to digest protein than it does to digest fat? So the more protein you eat, the more calories your body burns.

Eggs

Eggs are super high in protein and can help you burn that unwanted belly fat.
You may have heard all the warnings about eggs and your health. That's because a couple of eggs will put you over the recommended daily amount of cholesterol.
Eggs contain the vitamin B12 -- a great supplement for breaking down fat cells.

Low Fat Dairy Products

According to an article in Obesity Research, women who ate low-fat dairy products, such as nonfat yogurt and low-fat milk, three to four times a day lost 70 percent more fat than low-dairy dieters.

Beans

While beans are often associated with the gastrointestinal disturbances they may cause, they are also very good sources of protein, fiber and iron.

Oatmeal

While it may not be the tastiest thing you can eat, oatmeal definitely has some great nutritional qualities.
You may have noticed that many of the oatmeal brands are now boasting that eating more oatmeal will help lower your cholesterol level. That's because oatmeal is loaded with soluble fiber which helps reduce blood cholesterol by flushing those bad digestive acids out of your system.Oatmeal is also beneficial in fighting colon cancer and heart disease.

Olive Oil

Certain fats are good for you and your body needs them. Olive oil is one of those "good fats". In fact, it's so good that it helps you burn fat and keeps your cholesterol down.
Olive oil is rich in monounsaturated fat, a type of fat that researchers are finding provide outstanding health benefits. One ounce of extra virgin olive oil contains about 85% of the daily value for monounsaturated fat.
So instead of taking a swig of orange juice in the morning, many dieters are picking up a bottle of extra virgin olive oil.

Salmon and tuna

are also good sources of protein. They both contain omega-3 fatty acids which may sound bad, but are actually healthy fats. These two foods are also good for giving your immune system a nice boost and should be consumed at least 3 times a week.
We have provided a nutrition calculator and information on reading nutrition labels to help you on your journey to eating healthy.

Daily Basal Metabolic Rate:-

First determine your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR - how many
calories you burn at rest)

Women: BMR = 655 + (4.35 x weight in pounds) + (4.7 x height in inches) - (4.7 x age in years)

Women: BMR = 655 + (4.35 x weight in pounds) + (4.7 x height in inches) - (4.7 x age in years)
Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE):-
Using the Harris Benedict Formula, multiply your BMR by the appropriate activity factor to get the total number of calories you need:

* Sedentary (Absolutely no, or very little exercise): TDEE = BMR x 1.2
* Lightly active (light exercise/sports 1-3 days/week): TDEE = BMR x 1.375
* Moderately active (moderate exercise 3-5 days/week): TDEE = BMR x 1.55
* Very active (hard exercise 6-7 days a week; semi-active job): TDEE = BMR x 1.725
* Extra active (very hard exercise; active or physical job): TDEE = BMR x 1.9

Carbohydrate Requirements:-

The ideal % of calories that you should dedicate to carbohydrates is 40% - 60%:

1. Carbohydrate Calories =
TDEE x Target %/100

2. Since every gram of carbohydrate is worth 4 calories, the number of grams of carbohydrates you need =
Carbohydrate Calories/4

Protein Requirements:-

The ideal % of calories that should be dedicated to protein is 20% - 40%.

1. Protein Calories =
TDEE x Target %/100

2. Since every gram of protein is worth 4 calories, the number of grams of protein you should consume =
Protein Calories/4

Fat Requirements :-

The ideal % of calories that should be dedicated to fat is 20% - 30%.

1. Fat Calories =
TDEE x Target %/100

2. Since every gram of fat is worth 9 calories, the number of Fat Grams you need to consume =
Fat Calories/9
grams

*Note: Although these formulas are a good starting point, each person's metabolism is different.

* If you are your ideal weight and gain weight at the recommended caloric intake, back off 200 calories a day for about a week. If you are still gaining weight, back off another 200 calories a day for a week.
* If you are at your ideal weight and lose weight at the recommended caloric intake, add 200 calories a day for about a week. If you are still losing weight, add another 200 calories a day for a week.
* If you are trying to lose weight (body fat), the most common guideline for calorie deficits for fat loss is to reduce your calories by at least 500, but not more than 1000 below your maintenance level. The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recommends that calorie levels never drop below 1200 calories per day for women or 1800 per day for men.
* The best way to determine a safe calorie deficit would be to determine your TDEE and reduce your caloric intake by 15-20% below TDEE, while increasing your activity level.

Healthy Weight loss

Have you ever eaten a meal, only to find yourself ravenous an hour later? Frustrating, isn’t it? I remember growing up, when we would go out for Chinese Food, it was expected that we would be hungry after an hour or so. Chalk it up to bad choices. We obviously weren’t eating dishes that were very filling.

Incorporating the right nutrients into your snack or meal can be helpful in ensuring you are satisfied…and satisfied until your next snack or meal. Doing this is important whether you are the type of person who eats several smaller meals throughout the day (like moi) or 3 larger meals a day. Following this rule of thumb will help you ward off cravings for unhealthier foods, ward off major hunger pains and keep your energy levels stable throughout the day.

So what is the secret? The following three ingredients are your key to a happy and satisfied tummy:

1. Lean Protein:

* What’s its secret weapon? Lean proteins have a satiating effect. Eating meals that incorporate protein makes us feel fuller, longer. The body takes longer to metabolize protein, as compared to carbohydrates, which means it doesn’t leave your stomach as quickly.
* Good Sources: Fish, Chicken, Soy and VERY lean cuts of meat

2. Fiber:

* What’s its secret weapon? Fiber is a component of complex carbohydrates and is a bulking agent that fills you up. Additionally, it helps you stay regular and provides healthful benefits including lowering your risk of heart disease and lowering cholesterol levels. Lastly, it takes longer to chew, and your body can’t digest it. As a result, it never leaves the digestive system until you ‘poop‘.
* Good Sources: Fiber is found in whole grains, vegetables, beans, legumes and fruit.

3. Healthy Fats:

* What’s its secret weapon? In short, healthy fats have been found to produce an appetite suppressing reaction in the body that tells the brain that the body is no longer hungry. These fats are converted into a fatty lipid hormone which increases feelings of fullness. Be warned though, these healthy fats are still fat, so be sure to not over do it!
* Good Sources: Olive oil, avocados, nuts and seeds.

Have you been incorporating these three into your meals? How has it worked for you? Do you tend to get hungry soon after you eat?

Water -- The Weight Loss Miracle... !

you should immediately start consuming 8-10 10oz glasses per day (that's between 2-3 liters a day for those of you familiar with the metric system).

The most important reason? Adequate water consumption really provides the foundation for any good weight loss program... no matter what that program is! It's probably the most-overlooked and underrated weight loss strategy there is!

And what's the best part?

It's cheap, safe, readily available, delicious, and totally free of side-effects. Perfect - no need to spend big dollars on moderately-effective supplements!

So...

Why IS adequate water consumption the foundation of a good weight loss program?

Actually, adequate consumption is a LOT more than that, it's the foundation of a healthy lifestyle. It's pivotal in a variety of critical bodily processes like...

* regulating body temperature

* lubricating the joints

* nutrient transportation

* removal of various waste materials from the body

* ensuring proper digestion

* maintaining healthy skin tone

And as far as benefits pertaining *directly* to weight loss?...

* water maintains and encourages proper kidney function, which increases the efficiency of the liver's fat burning ability.

* it also acts as an appetite suppressant -- people on diets who do not increase their water intake are generally much hungrier than those who do!

* water intake reduces water retention -- yes, believe it or not. If your body is deprived of water, it is more likely to hold onto what little it has. On the other hand, increasing your water intake will cause your body to stop hoarding its limited supplies. It's not unheard of for people to lose 3-4 lbs. of weight shortly after increasing their water intake.

* helps the body function at its most optimal level, which means its much easier to burn unwanted fat.

Note: It's important to note that when I say water, I don't mean pop, juice, tea, coffee, diet pop, or anything else you can thing of...

Tea and coffee contain caffeine, which has a dehydrating effect, pop and juices are full of sugar, and diet pops are full of chemical sweeteners which may prove to be hazardous to your health.

Water... just plain old H2O.

With that said, why isn't everybody drinking enough?

Well for one, I suspect that because it's such an unassuming liquid (no magic ingredients of any sort:), that it's hard to imagine it having such dramatic effects.

Other reasons?

Some people don't like the taste. Others are afraid they'll be fired from their jobs if they need to use the washroom every 20 minutes. There are all kinds of reasons.

However, I'll make you a promise...

If you make a concerted effort to get through 2 of those 1.5 liter (50 oz) bottles a day for the next 3-4 days, I guarantee you WILL feel substantially better.

Because unless you are currently taking in that much water, there's a 99.9% chance that you are dehydrated NOW! Here's what's really cool about this...

Because most of us have never been fully hydrated, we don't recognize that how we feel *right now, at this minute* is a result of water deprivation -- after all, we've felt this way for years, right?

Exactly.

But if you make an effort to drink those two bottles a day for a minimum of 3-5 days, you will notice an amazing difference, especially if you stop abruptly after those few days.

Believe me... it really opened my eyes, and I guarantee it will do the same for you!

Even if you don't like the taste of water, I strongly urge you to try this!

Modern science has been able to prove this assumption through research that supports the theory. Take natural fiber in dietary supplemental form if you wish to add fiber to your diet or don't eat enough of the foods that contain it naturally.

Types of fibers :-

1- Insoluble fiber is found in bran, grains, and wheat, and does not dissolve in water.

2- The other type of fiber, which is more commonly used in supplements, is soluble fiber. This can dissolve in water and is found in natural sources like fruits and legumes.
Metabolism :-

Weight loss is stimulated by speeding the body's metabolism and burning more calories (energy) than you consume and store. Speeding the metabolism can be done in two ways to stimulate weight loss. One way is to exercise regularly using specific methods such as interval training to increase your resting metabolic rate. The other way involves when you eat (time intervals) and what you ingest as energy. Unless you speed up your metabolism, there is often no healthy way to lose weight. This is the premise behind fiber supplementation.

Effects :-

Bacteria in the intestine can't use insoluble fiber as energy, but the digestive system still works to try to break it down. Supplements that promise weight reduction include this fiber because it forces the body to waste energy trying to break it down. The "wasted" energy means your body will be burning calories even when you are not exercising, which can stimulate weight loss.

There is a common notion that potatoes make us fat. It seems to be one of those evil and forbidden foods, full of carbohydrates and calories. But the good news is that potatoes are not as bad as they seem to be. The potato is rich in complex carbohydrates, and adds fat to the body only when butter, cream or cheese are added.

It also helps in weight loss. We feel full and satiated after eating a potato because it is nutrient-dense, non-fattening and moderate in terms of calories. Thus a diet rich in potato may substantially trigger weight loss.
Potato Slows Digestion

Potatoes contain "resistant starch" that slows down the digestion process, increases calorie burn after a meal and also inhibits the hunger hormones that makes you feel hungry all the time.

According to Sandy Huard, President of Women's Health Supply International, "Resistant starch is created when starchy foods are 'cooled'. When a potato is cooked, for example, it absorbs water and swells. As the potato cools, much of the starch crystallizes, forming resistant starch. So, be sure to cool your starches at room temperature or in the refrigerator prior to eating. Don't reheat them because these break down the starch crystals and the benefits mentioned above are essentially gone."

Potatoes Are Nutrient-Dense

Potatoes provide a good nutritional return for the calories. They are also rich in vitamine c, Vitamin B6, and contains trace elements like manganese, molybdenum, chromium and selenium. They are also low in sodium and supply about 20 percent of the daily potassium needs of the body.

Potatoes Help Burn Foods Faster

Potatoes are rich in carbohydrates, the main source of ready-made fuel that our body needs. Adam Drewnowski, Ph.D., director of the human nutrition program at the University of Michigan's School of Public Health recommends that "the greatest share of our diet--60 percent--be composed of this fuel. Only a tiny percentage of carbohydrates are ever converted to fat in the body."
Potatoes Fill You Up

One of the toughest aspects of weight loss is hunger. It is difficult to resist the temptation of food while dieting, so the easy way to tackle the food pangs is to eat foods that will fill you up and keep you feeling full. Dr Jacquie Lavin, a weight-loss doctor for Slimming World. says "A key to lasting weight loss is eating foods that make you feel full for longer." Potatoes are very filling and satisfying.
Potatoes Are a Good Source of Fiber

Potatoes are a source of fibre as well. One potato provides 10 percent of the required daily intake of fiber. Fiber is non-digestible and helps to eliminate solid waste from the body. It also helps to move fat rapidly through the digestive system so that fat gets little time to be absorbed, which also can helps in weight loss.

Here are a few ways to lose those stray pregnancy pounds without really trying.
1-Breastfeeding can help you drop pregnancy pounds rather quickly. While nursing moms need about 300 extra calories a day to breastfeed, those calories and possibly more will be consumed by baby. During pregnancy your body stores extra fat in anticipation of lactation. Breastfeeding helps burn the extra fat more quickly. If you're breastfeeding you'll probably be watching your diet, which again, will help you limit your caloric intake.

2-If you baby's nursery is on the second floor keep all the diapers, wipes, and clothes up there. That way, you'll be forced to take the stairs when baby needs to be changed.

3-Take your baby for a stroll around the neighborhood or park. Walking will help you get back into shape after having a baby. Once your doctor clears you, you can even jog, just make sure your baby is old enough to be in a jogging stroller (usually around 5 months).

4-Carry the car seat. Car seats can be rather heavy. Lugging the infant carrier around with your child in it will no doubt tone your arms and help you burn a few extra calories.

Author : Stephen Covey

Have you read this before? Discover the 90/10 Principle. It will change your life (at least the way you react to situations). What is this principle? 10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react. What does this mean? We really have no control over 10% of what happens to us. We cannot stop the car from breaking down.

The plane will be late arriving, which throws our whole schedule off. A driver may cut us off in traffic. We have no control over this 10%. The other 90% is different. You determine the other 90%.

How? By your reaction. You cannot control a red light., but you can control your reaction. Don't let people fool you; YOU can control how you react.

Let's use an example. You are eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter knocks over a cup of coffee onto your business shirt. You have no control over what just what happened. What happens when the next will be determined by how you react. You curse. You harshly scold your daughter for knocking the cup over. She breaks down in tears. After scolding her, you turn to your spouse and criticize her for placing the cup too close to the edge of the table. A short verbal battle follows. You storm upstairs and change your shirt. Back downstairs, you find your daughter has been too busy crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus.

Your spouse must leave immediately for work. You rush to the car and drive your daughter to school. Because you are late, you drive 40 miles an hour in a 30 mph speed limit. After a 15-minute delay and throwing $60 traffic fine away, you arrive at school. Your daughter runs into the building without saying goodbye. After arriving at the office 20 minutes late, you find you forgot your briefcase. Your day has started terrible. As it continues, it seems to get worse and worse. You look forward to coming home, When you arrive home, you find small wedge in your relationship with your spouse and daughter.

Why? Because of how you reacted in the morning. Why did you have a bad day?
A) Did the coffee cause it?
B) Did your daughter cause it?
C) Did the policeman cause it?
D) Did you cause it?

The answer is D. You had no control over what happened with the coffee. How you reacted in those 5 seconds is what caused your bad day. Here is what could have and should have happened. Coffee splashes over you. Your daughter is about to cry. You gently say, "It's ok honey, you just need,to be more careful next time". Grabbing a towel you rush upstairs. After grabbing a new shirt and your briefcase, you come back down in time to look through the window and see your child getting on the bus. She turns and waves. You arrive 5 minutes early and cheerfully greet the staff. Your boss comments on how good the day you are having.

Notice the difference? Two different scenarios. Both started the same. Both ended different. Why? Because of how you REACTED. You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% was determined by your reaction.

Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 principle.

If someone says something negative about you, don't be a sponge. Let the attack roll off like water on glass. You don't have to let the negative comment affect you! React properly and it will not ruin your day. A wrong reaction could result in losing a friend, being fired, getting stressed out etc.

How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic? Do you lose your temper? Pound on the steering wheel? A friend of mine had the steering wheel fall off) Do you curse? Does your blood pressure skyrocket? Do you try and bump them? WHO CARES if you arrive ten seconds later at work? Why let the cars ruin your drive? Remember the 90/10 principle, nd do not worry about it.

You are told you lost your job. Why lose sleep and get irritated? It will work out. Use your worrying energy and time into finding another job.

The plane is late; it is going to mangle your schedule for the day. Why take out your frustration on the flight attendant? She has no control over what is going on. Use your time to study, get to know the other passenger. Why get stressed out? It will just make things worse. Now you know the 90-10 principle. Apply it and you will be amazed at the results. You will lose
nothing if you try it.

The 90-10 principle is incredible. Very few know and apply this principle. The result? Millions of people are suffering from undeserved stress, trials, problems and heartache. There never seem to be a success in life. Bad days follow bad days. Terrible things seem to be constantly happening. There is constant stress, lack of joy, and broken relationships. Worry consumes time. Anger breaks friendships and life seems dreary and is not enjoyed to the fullest. Friends are lost. Life is a bore and often seems cruel. Does this describe you? If so, do not be discouraged

You can be different! Understand and apply the 90/10 principle. It will change your life.
A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it everyday. He climbed to the treetop, ate the apples, took a nap under the shadow…he loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him. Time went by…the little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree every day.

One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad. "Come and play with me” the tree asked the boy. "I am no longer a kid, I do not play around trees any more” the boy replied.

“I want toys. I need money to buy them.”
“Sorry, but I do not have money… but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money.”

The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy never came back after he picked the apples. The tree was sad.

One day, the boy who now turned into a man returned and the tree was excited “Come and play with me” the tree said.
“I do not have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?” “ Sorry, but I do not have any house. But you can chop off my branches to build your house.”

So the man cut all the branches of the tree and left happily. The tree was glad to see him happy but the man never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad.

One hot summer day, the man returned and the tree was delighted. "Come and play with me!” the tree said.
“I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?” said the man.
"Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy.”

So the man cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time.

Finally, the man returned after many years. "Sorry, my boy. But I do not have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you …” the tree said.
"No problem, I do not have any teeth to bite" the man replied. "No more trunk for you to climb on”
“I am too old for that now” the man said.
"I really cannot give you anything... the only thing left is my dying roots” the tree said with tears.
"I do not need much now, just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years” the man replied.
"Good! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest, Come, come sit down with me and rest.” The man sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears…

This is a story of everyone.
The tree is like our parents
When we were young, we loved to play with our Mum and Dad...
When we grow up, we leave them…only come to them when we need something or when we are in trouble.
No matter what, parents will always be there and give everything they could just to make you happy.

You may think the boy is cruel to the tree, but that is how all of us treat our parents. We take them 4 granted we don't appreciate all they do 4 us, UNTIL it's 2 late.

Please enlighten all your friends and your families by telling them this story,
Love your Parents.
