Make Money Online - Can I Seriously Do It?

2012-03-08T13:35:00.000-08:00

Here are some things you may want to know.

So often people are attracted to the thought of working online. They are enticed by reading online success stories and the 'I made so many thousands in so many days' stories! Whilst it is great to read testimonials about other's successes, do not allow it to blind you, you still have to work. Remember the old saying, what you sow you will reap. Of course there are people who have found success working from home, but you must research what field you wish to get into. The internet is massive, the opportunities are massive too; but don't be hoodwinked into thinking that just because you want to be successful that it will happen overnight. Online businesses usually have a massive lag factor. You work and don't usually see the benefits for a long time. Achieving your goals working an online job has to be treated as you would any other career choice; it takes time, a lot of effort, and an unfaltering discipline.

Strategies:

You have to start at with the very basics. How much space do you need or have, what area of working online do you see yourself going into. Do you have anything in mind, like a current career or hobby that you would like to turn into your own business? Or are you going to work for an online company? To get to where you want to go you have to know what you want in the first place. Plan, plan and plan some more.

Don't be too eager to jump straight in, you will only fail and be discouraged when you realise there may be some areas within working from home that you did not even take into consideration...Space, Children, Family, housework. Sit with a large piece of paper and jot down the pros and cons(and yes there are both) of working from home. Think of your family situation, your current travel to work, take everything into consideration even if it means you stay with what you currently do, it is better to realise that now than after 6 months of stress.

Consider everything from your social aspect of working in a standard job with others, to working alone. It can get lonely so identify why working from home is right for you. It may be that you cannot go out to work as you have small children, live in an isolated spot so transport is an issue; or just want some extra household income. If you know it's for you then plan within your days and weeks that you still have social time with family and friends, and do not allow it all to be work, work, and work. Take tea breaks, lunch breaks, days off and time out for yourself too. Whether your decision to work from home is based on time, money, or fun; make a point of knowing exactly why you would like to do it and this will enable you in the long and short-term to stay motivated and keep with it.

Goals:

What is your overall goal? Where do you intend to go with it? How do you see yourself getting there? Goals are so important; ensure you have them written down for both the short and long-term. Don't just do this in a few minutes, seriously consider these goals, and it is important that they are realistic and achievable, yes have big goals but also small goals to get there too.

Set out how you intend to reach these goals and aspirations. Will you use an online forum, social sites that take you from your home to the bigger community around the world? There are so many opportunities for you to consider; so again it's plan, plan, plan. Do you want to sell, be an administrator, type, run your own business? You have an idea of why you would like to work from home, so this will allow you to put down these ideas and realise what is realistic and what is not. One thing I will stress is don't fall into the trap of the big promises of fast and large payouts, as you will soon become disillusioned. Stay focused on the reasons that you have written down as to why you want to work from home, this will keep you focused.

Research, Research and Research some more:

Find what is right for you and your home situation. If working for a company thoroughly research what they want out of you in relation to output and hours, it's no use saying you can work 8 hours from home when you can only do 1 hour a day, be realistic and ensure they pay, or money you can earn is enough for what you would expect and need. Do you have time to allow a business to build up or do you need instant payback. All these things have to be taken into consideration when you are doing your research.

You may have great ideas; but ideas alone will not give you success. What has to be said here is that it takes time, dedication, discipline and research and then the world as they say is your oyster. This allows you to be answerable to no one but then it also means you cannot blame anyone if you fail. Hard work up front will ease any bedding-in pain, don't be disheartened by the thought of all the preparation that you may need. If it's what you really want and need then it will be worth the upfront effort required an allow you to work from home without too much stress as by this stage you will know what to expect instead of going at it blindly.

This method is often a hit or miss way to make money online, but it is a great way for someone who has the technical knowledge to build some side cash.

Aside from the techy method of making money online, there is also the simple article writing method that nearly anybody who has a computer and is of age can participate in. With websites like Textbroker.com you can fulfill article requests from clients who are in need of a writing service. Learning to be an article writer requires only a stable internet connection, grasp of the English language, and the ability to handle article requests that range from simple how-to's, to information regarding travel or regional businesses.

Aside from the blogging method and article composing method, another honest way to make money online is through survey taking. While this area of making money is clouded with some questionable websites, there are enough legitimate ones that allow you to run through a thirty minute or more survey to receive points that go towards rewards and cash.

Money Making Online - Is It Really That Easy?

2012-03-07T23:01:00.000-08:00

People are always searching for ways to make money online. Whether they are attempting to make a few dollars a month to cover bills, or a full-time income from home, the internet has become a mega load of so-called home-based business opportunities.

"Make up to $100,000 per week working less than 2 hours per day from your home. Our secret money-making system normally sells for $399 but for a limited time you can purchase it for a rock bottom low price of $49. Hurry! This low price offer won't last."

Have you ever seen ads like this one? Of course you have. They are plastered all over the internet, promising to make you rich by barely lifting a finger.

Take a moment and think about how ridiculous this sounds:

"Make thousands with our secret money tree. All you have to do is plant the tree, water it and rake up all the money leaves that fall to the ground."

Did you notice any similarities between these two ads? I'll give you a hint: They are both fictional fantasies designed to make you believe you will get rich by purchasing their products. In reality the only people getting rich are the ones selling these so-called "money-making opportunities" to people like you and me.

Don't get me wrong there are a lot of really good eBooks, tools and resources out there created by people who really know what they're doing. Most of these "gurus" have been making money online long enough that they know what works and what doesn't. Many of their products can be used as an excellent resource for you to make your own money online. Just remember, merely purchasing the products will not make you money.

Let's face it, if you want to make money online, you must put in the time and effort make it work. Purchasing a money-making product, no-matter how great the sales letter, testimonials, guarantee, etc. is not going to make you money. Think of it as a business because that is what it really is. Ask anyone who owns their own business and they will tell you that running a business takes a lot of time and effort. An internet business is no different.

I just love these sales lines:

"Our business in a box runs entirely on autopilot", "Buy our product and you will make money while you sleep".

Is it possible for an internet business to collect and processes sales automatically while you are sleeping? Absolutely, just don't assume it won't come with any work. Many of these "autopilot" business owners spend the majority of their day promoting their site or products by way of social and email marketing, writing articles and reviews or optimizing their sites for search engines. Some internet business owners spend 60 hours per week just on marketing alone. So it may not be quite as glamorous as it looks.

It's not my intention to turn you away from making money online. There are many benefits to it as well. I am only asking that you do yourself a favor and do plenty of research before diving in head first. Sometimes these "gurus" make it all seem way too easy when it's really not. Just remember, they wouldn't call it "work from home" if it didn't really involve working.

Make Money Online - 5 Best Methods

2012-03-07T18:52:00.000-08:00

Making Money Online is becoming more and more popular with each passing day with growing impact and reach of the internet in our lives and also with the advertisers starting to realize the full potential of this juggernaut called World Wide Web.

Here are the 5 best methods to make money online with their brief features.

1. Set up a Website or Blog:

This is one of the best ways to make money online. You just need to set up a blog or Website of your own, which may be on various topics, where you will display ads or try to sell some products or services.

Since there are numerous types of money making blogs the important thing here is to choose your unique model. Choosing your model may depend on your interest, skills, schedules and various other factors. A solid and interesting blog can enable you to earn a few hundred dollars a month at least just by using tools like Google AdSense and paid blogging websites to name a few.

2. Affiliate Marketing:

This is also a very lucrative way to make money online and involves promoting a certain product and earning commission every time a person buys that product following your recommendation.

There are a lot of products available in the market covering diverse fields ranging from Business to Health. All you have to do is just pick your niche and promote some of the good products available there. If you are interested in Health then you can promote various fitness plans or health programs and earn money from it.

The amount of your income depends on what you are promoting, so you have to do some research to choose the best ones. If it is done properly and targeted towards the proper audience then there is literally no limits to how much you can income from it. Three of the best affiliate marketplaces are Clickbank, Amazon and Commission Junction.

3. Work As a Freelancer:

Being a freelancer means that you are selling your skills and labor in return for money. It is almost like doing a real job but doing it from the comfort of your room. There are a lot of freelancing jobs available like web-designing, programming, translation, proofreading, copy writing, video editing and transcription to name a few.

Online marketplaces like Freelancer, Guru and Elance are three of the biggest platforms where you can offer your services for money. Out of them Freelancer is the best one as I personally started my online earning days from there.

4. Creating and Selling Your Own Product:

You can create products of your own such as e-books, website templates, images, audio clips and even video courses. Hulu is one wesite which allow you to develop and sell your own electronic products like calendars, images, e-books and brochures. Freemarket is another website that lets you sell your products like flash or html templates, logos, music, photos, e-book and many many more.

You can also sell your original pictures through citizen journalism websites like Spymedia and Citizen Image or use micro-stock photography websites like Shutterstock and iStockPhoto.

If you do not have the time on your hand to promote your own product then you can list your product to affiliate marketplaces like Clickbank and Commission Junction and get your promotion done by the affiliate marketeers in return for a little commission.

5. Get-Paid-To Websites:

These sites pay you just for reading emails, doing surveys, signing up for trial subscriptions and viewing advertisements. They may also include affiliate programs to further increase your income.

The best thing about get-paid-to websites is that you do need to own a website or require any particular skill at all. But the dark side to this easy money is that there are quite a few scam gaid-paid-to sites which do not pay their members. So, you have to be a little cautious or you will end up wasting your effort.

There are some other ways by which you can also earn money. But the above 5 ways are the most common and profitable ones to make money online.

Fastest Way to Make Money Online With Internet Marketing

If you want to join the world of making money online you can rest assured that there is hope for you. There is a taboo that many people feel exists because of all of the craziness going on online. There are guru's in every niche claiming to know the secret to online riches. But really there is no secret. There is simply a formula you need to follow to start seeing good results and make money online.

One of the fastest ways to build your online business is by creating an opt-in page. However, one of the fastest ways to make it happen is to focus on building your list. Creating a squeeze page or an opt-in page, specifically for one purpose and one purpose only should be your main concern. Remember, your main purpose is to capture the information of people that are interested in your target market or niche. And the one thing you've got to decide on is what market or niche you're going to get into.

Once you've decided what market or niche you're getting into, then you want to create an opt-in page or a squeeze page around that particular niche. Then from there, the next thing that I would suggest doing is to start driving traffic to your page so that you can start capturing people's names and email addresses. You want to do this so that you are able to sell to them again and again in the future. This will allow you to start making money faster.

But an even faster trick is when people are signing up to your list, after they enter their name and email address, you need to send them directly to a sales page. A sales letter will entice them to buy different affiliate products or even your own products. But make sure these products are related to your niche. You want your visitors and potential customers to have access to products that they'll find useful.

If you haven't tested out affiliate marketing I highly recommend it. Now, the fastest thing to do it, is to find an affiliate program that matches your market or your niche so that when people opt in, they're getting redirected through your affiliate link and landing on a page that's a proven sales letter that works. Once you've identified that method is working, then to buy you some time (if you don't already have your own product), is to start creating your own. Your own product will make you a ton more money because you'll be making 100% of the sale.

Building your business and making money is better attained through focusing on selling your own products. That's going to build your business a lot faster. As I always say, take action and you'll be rewarded with very good results!

Making Money Online - Its Hardly Rocket Science, Is It?

2012-03-04T20:15:00.000-08:00

When it comes to making huge amounts of money for minimum effort, there is nothing to beat Internet marketing - allegedly! While this may be true in some cases, it is a simple fact that to discern the truth from fiction is almost impossible when it comes to the many online money-making claims on the Internet today.

That said, the straight truth is that there are a boatload of people out there who are not geniuses or Internet marketing Gurus, but who do make a very comfortable living online. They do not however, make all this money by sitting back and doing nothing - even though that may be the claim to 'suck you in'. Fact is that just like ever other kind of success, Internet marketing needs dedication and hard work to succeed.

Different ways to make online cash:

Affiliate marketing: This is possibly one of the biggest and best ways to make money online. You simply promote a product (digital is simplest), that someone else has created, and rake in the commissions through a company like ClickBank for instance. It is clean, efficient, and can really bring in the cash.

Usually you will start with a blog site or a 'focus' site and promote a particular product in the way of a review, or indeed just write articles on the ailment (as in this case) and leave it to the reader to click on your advertisment. This advert is linked to your own affiliate id that is produced by ClickBank , and Geronimo! - your first affiliate commission.

Amazon is another way to make affiliate cash online. The difference is that the commissions by and large, are very much lower than they are with digital products. The average commission for an Amazon sale is 4-6% whereas a typical digital product (typically an eBook) is 50-75%. Also the Amazon products in my own experience are more difficult to rank in Google for as Amazon themselves are usually at the top spot.

Facebook and Twitter, are fast becoming major sources of revenue for affiliate marketers. If you have over 4-500 friends on either, then it is possible to promote many types of products through this media. The secret here is not to totally hack-off your friends!

AdSense: AdSense is a PPC (pay per click) method of generating income that works by simply placing Google ads on your site, and when someone clicks on the advert than you are paid a commission by Google. It is a very slick method of generating income, and indeed can be very lucrative. The system itself is well run by Google and has all sorts of anti-fraud devices built in to avoid abuse of the system.

One possible drawback is that if you mistakenly - or otherwise - click on your own adverts, then Google will find out and will ban you! Do not click on your own adverts, or get anyone else to click on your ads - they will find out and you will get banned, with the possible loss of any revenue that they hold.

YouTube advertising, is gaining in popularity. This is run by AdSense placing ads on your popular videos and you in turn get the commissions, you do not even need a website to get revenue from this potentially very lucrative income stream. What you do need though is an original video owned and produced by you, that gets loads of traffic.

Summary:

I have found that the way to make money online for me, is quite simply the 'focus' type of sites. Medical subjects such as Tinnitus Treatment or other medical conditions make good 'focus' sites for affiliate marketing purposes. General information sites or popular blogs are good for AdSense revenue, particularly if they are in the finance or insurance niche.

The main thing is to get a product that you are interested in, and get writing!
