You are better off sticking with healthy recipes that will help your weight loss goals rather than hinder it. However that doesn&#39;t mean you can&#39;t have a &#39;fast food&#39; type meal why you are dieting. Here is one of my favourite healthy weight loss recipes for burger and chips. You get the chip shop taste without the extra calories and guilt that comes with it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The Burgers are made from extra lean beef mince or turkey mince and the chips (or wedges) are made from sweet potato - a delicious alternative to the traditional variety. Also we will be using coconut oil instead of other oils because of the amazing health benefits that coconut oil provides. It also provides a lovely aroma when cooking with it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Healthy Recipes For Weight Loss: Guilt Free Burger and Chips&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Serves 4 &lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Ingredients for Burgers &lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;#8226; 500g extra lean beef mince (or turkey will work fine too)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;#8226; 1 onion, chopped finely&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;#8226; 1 chilli - finely chopped&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;#8226; 1 x egg&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Method&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl, divide it into 4 portions.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Knead each portion so it all sticks together nicely, then flatten&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;into a burger shape.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2. Heat some coconut oil in a frying pan and shallow fry for around&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;4 minutes each side.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Ingredients for Wedges&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;#8226; 2 large sweet potatoes&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;#8226; 1/2 tsp chilli powder&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;#8226; 1 tsp paprika&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;#8226; 1 tbs coconut oil, melted&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Method&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1. Slice up the sweet potatoes so they look like wedges.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2. Toss all ingredients into large bowl then place in a large baking tray in oven at around 200-220 degrees C for 30-40 mins.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3. Serve alongside a bed of steamed greens.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This healthy recipe for weight loss is perfect for those evening or weekends when you feel like getting a &#39;dirty takeaway&#39; and you don&#39;t want to undo all your hard work and diligence of following whatever program you are following. I often have this as a &#39;clean&#39; cheat meal. Because you are cooking this yourself and you can monitor how much and what you use in it, you will be better aware of the foods you are eating which means you will have greater control over your results. These noodles are translucent (giving them the name glass noodles) and are very thin and wiry, a bit like fishing line. They are consequently rather difficult to handle. In Thailand glass noodles are usually found in Thai noodle soup, which is a thin soup often served with fish balls, red pork (Moo Deng) or chicken. The glass noodle soup is a popular late night snack and is also often given to sick people since it is considered healthy and easy to digest.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When pre-soaked glass noodles become slippery, softer and easier to cut and work with. It is important to select good quality noodles (made of 100% mung beans) because they retain their shape and texture better than the cheaper, low quality versions.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Glass noodles are very good at absorbing the flavours of the other ingredients in any dish. This means they are great for salads as well as dishes like baked crab or prawns. The following recipe is one of the more common, and originates from the Northern Thailand province of Chiang Mai.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Ingredients:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;14 oz dried rice noodles (soaked in water for about half an hour) &lt;LI&gt;&amp;#189; lb of pork, thinly sliced (you can substitute for beef or chicken) &lt;LI&gt;6 tbsp cooking oil (soybean, peanut, or corn is fine) &lt;LI&gt;4 cloves of garlic (crushed) &lt;LI&gt;3 cups of Chinese broccoli (if available - this can also be substituted with normal broccoli, cauliflower, carrots or mushrooms will be fine) &lt;LI&gt;2 eggs (beaten) &lt;LI&gt;3 tbsp oyster sauce &lt;LI&gt;1 tbsp sweet soy sauce &lt;LI&gt;2 tbsp light soy sauce &lt;LI&gt;2 tbsp sugar &lt;LI&gt;1 tbsp ground black pepper&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We begin by making the sauce: Add the oyster sauce, both the soy sauces, the sugar and the black pepper into a serving dish, mix well and add the meat.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Leave the meat in this mixture, at room temperature, to marinate while you prepare the other ingredients.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Heat &amp;#189; a tablespoon of the cooking oil in a wok or large pan over a high heat. Then add just one of the cloves of garlic, stir for about 30 seconds, then add the vegetables and continue to stir. Cook until the vegetables are almost cooked but still firm then remove from the heat and set aside.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In a separate wok, heat 4 tbsp of cooking oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the rest of the cloves of garlic and stir-fry for a few seconds. Then add the noodles and continue to stir and cook for another few minutes until golden brown and soft. Transfer the contents of this wok to a serving dish.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Add 1 tbsp of cooking oil to the now-empty wok and once heated add the marinated pork and the beaten eggs and continue stirring while cooking. After a minute or so add the vegetables from the first wok and continue to stir-fry. Finally, add the noodles and stir and cook until the noodles are slightly crispy. You can find the specialty ingredients at most any grocery store with an international section. The rice noodles I use in this recipe is for Pad Thai dishes. The garlic chili paste is a staple of many Asian dishes. Watch out, the garlic chili paste is hot, so do not over do it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The recipe is Thai inspired not authentic but it will please the Thai food lover anytime. The use of natural peanut butter will give the dish the peanut flavor while the combination of the fish sauce and garlic chili paste will give the dish that signature Thai flavor I crave. Thai foods get their wonderful flavor from garlic, chili, onions and limes.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;First, get a pan of water boiling for the rice noodles. When the water is at full boil drop in enough rice noodles for two servings and boil for four minutes. Remove noodles, strain in a colander and set aside.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Chop the green onions, roasted red bell pepper and cilantro for garnishes and set aside individually. Cut a lime into four wedges. Grind up three tablespoons of roasted peanuts for garnish and set aside. Mix two tablespoons of natural peanut butter, two tablespoons of fish sauce, half teaspoon of sesame oil and two tablespoons of Thai garlic chili paste for noodle sauce. The sesame oil is optional. I suggest you add it since the sesame oil will add a rich flavor. Do not add too much sesame oil as it will not be pleasant.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Coat the shrimp with the Chinese five spice. Heat a skillet to medium with a small amount cooking oil ( olive oil is best ) and cook shrimp. Cook shrimp for two minutes per side and turn. Cook the shrimp just until it is opaque and starts to firm up then it is done. Do not overcook the shrimp because they will turn rubbery when overcooked. Add the cooked noodles and the sauce to the cooked shrimp and toss just until evenly coated. Plate the noodles and shrimp, garnish with green onions, peanuts, roasted red bell pepper, lime wedges and cilantro.
