It's not just about e-books anymore, Newspapers and magazines can also be accessed through an e-reader now. The e-reading company Skiff launched an electronic reader called the Skiff Reader. It's about 1/4 of an inch thick. With 1200x1600 pixel and 11.5-inch screen, it is the current largest and highest-resolution consumer e-reading display. This e-reader utilizes a thin, flexible sheet of stainless steel foil.

The Skiff Reader is optimized for newspapers and magazines. The company is also working on supporting the design qualities of the publications such as the layout, graphics, and typography so that it can retain its look on the screen. Users can be connected through WiFi.

The Skiff Reader should be available online, and through US Sprint dealers, later this year. There’s still no word on price. Even if you don’t buy the reader, Skiff is working on making its digital store and client software accessible to a variety of other devices, including smartphones.

Natural Food Cooler

An industrial designer named Dennis Cheng designed a simple unit called Eva2o that will keep fruits and vegetables cool without using electricity. Eva2o is a double-walled earthen ware body with a rotating glass lid. It has an inner bowl where the fruits and vegetables are kept; and outer bowl; and an overlapping glass lid that acts as a funnel in the center. There is space between the inner and outer bowls where air and water can circulate.

The water evaporates through the sides of the dish, which pulls away the heat and keeps the inner bowl cool.

The designer Dennis Cheng has a fine eye for detail on this concept. The ring of ridges on the inner dish, which keep the food items elevated, have a gap running the radius of the bowl to aid cleaning it out. The two overlapping lids allow you to slide them apart easily to gain quick access to the contents within. This is also to help reduce the amount of waste there is as easily accessible fruit and veg that can be seen clearly is thought to encourage us to use it, while lasting longer due to the cooling to be used.

In theory this looks like a environmentally friendly way of keeping our fruit and veg cool, while allowing us to see it and access it easily. At the very least its a great idea for a cool fruit bowl.

Remote - Controlled LED Light Bulb

A remote-controlled light-emitting diode (LED) light bulb, called Ecobulb, illuminates only the sides that require lighting at any time. It has six distinct sections. With a remote control, the brightness and direction of the lights can be changed. This will reduce the use of many bulbs and light sources.

Ecobulb can be set to illuminate the entire room or just a part of the room. that requires lighting. It also has brightness control, which allows it to take the place of many different light functions.

The Ecobulbs concept then also contributes to less electricity usage as only sections of the light are used at once. There is no light wastage, no light being used to illuminate areas of a room not in use. This, coupled with the brightness control, means that the one light bulb can then take the place of many different light functions, from a small pool of soft light like that of a lamp to a brightly lit room all at the push of a button.

One problem may be finding the button to do this, especially if there is a frequent need to change the sections of light as remote controls do often go missing.

It's really getting hotter and hotter! and its summer time in the Philippines! Today, i'll share some of my Top 'Key-Destination' Lists this summer time, which i'm sure you'll really want go to. So, i would Really cut my message Short. For you to take a peak on what you call 'HOT" places here in the Philippines!

First Top!

BORACAY

Boracay Island is a great place for just lazing around. Seven km long, it is only one km wide at its narrowest point. Boracay's largest villages or barangays are Yapak, Balabag and Manoc-Manoc. A confusing network of paths and tracks connects them, and several smaller hamlets called sitios, so maps of Boracay can only serve as a general guide. Slightly more than half the 5200 population lives in Manoc-Manoc. There is a beautiful beach on the west coast with very fine white sand, particularly near Balabag.

The water is quite shallow, however. For snorkeling the east coast is better but beware of rips. There are scores of little sandy bays scattered around the island; they make an attractive alternative to the ever-popular White Beach. The atmosphere on Diniwid Beach is also pleasant and peaceful, just to the north of White Beach. There are a few places offering inexpensive accommodation there that would cost twice as much at White Beach. Also well worth the visit is the immaculate Punta Beach.

Boracay is also well known for its now very rare gleaming white puka shells, said to be the best in the world. For years puka shells were dug out of the beach at Yapak and then sold. It's already a fait accompli that large masses of land are soon going to be moved in the north of the island.

The most important Philippine property developers, Ayala Land, FiI-Estate and Primetown Property Group have bought up 205 hectares of land. There they intend to build resorts and housing for the better off; construction on the obligatory golf course is already well under way.

Every day seems to be a holiday on Boracay - all you need to do is relax and enjoy yourself. Just get up, make some coffee and decide whether to go sailing, windsurfing or perhaps snorkeling and looking at corals. If you're curious you may get as far as the Caves of the Flying Dogs of Yapak' or Bat Caves (admission P20) on the other side of the island, where there are still fishermen who have nothing to do with tourism, except that they too have to pay higher prices in the stores.

Universal Studios

Universal Studios Singapore opened March 18, 2010, as part of the US$4.5 billion Resorts World Sentosa development. In February, Theme Park Insider editor Robert Niles toured Universal Studios Singapore and shared his trip report.

Universal Studios opened in Singapore, making it a key destination for families and friends who enjoy long days, sweating it out a theme park, going nuts over souvenirs and catching more shows than humanly possible.

The Park in Sentosa boasts 24 rides and attractions including the unmissable Battlestar, a behemoth of a roller coaster with dips and curls that would make a seasoned adrenaline junkie think twice about lining up. Singapore Art Museum (SAM)

Jurong Bird Park

Opened in 1971, Jurong Bird Park is the largest bird park in the world, offering a 20.2-hectare hillside haven for 4,600 birds representing 380 species. Its Heliconia Repository, with 108 heliconia species and cultivars in its collection, is one of the largest in the region. With sprawling area of 202,000 Sq meters Jurong bird park is the world’s largest bird park in terms of number birds and second largest in terms of land area. The park though clean and neat and new looking does at the same time give the appearance of having been here forever though it only actually opened to the public in 1971.

At Underwater World Singapore, a 'voyage to the bottom of the sea' begins at the water’s edge, with shallow rock turtle and ray pools. Be greeted next by brightly colored corals and exotic ocean dwellers (including moray eels, sea dragons and jelly fishes) before you embark on a spectacular underwater journey through our 83-metre-long moving travelator with a tunnel housing the majestic rays, fearsome sharks, great shoals of other fishes and a host of other creatures that inhabit the ocean depths. At the end of the underwater tunnel experience, do not miss out on the rare opportunity to exchange some playful glances with our graceful dugong, Gracie. Also look out for the latest themed exhibit in our changing exhibit hall on the first level. The Wavehouse - Sentosa

Home to Asia's sole Wave House, the Sentosa - based resort, just at the edge of the beach, lures tourists and surfers alike by its famed wave generator. Dubbed "The Wave" and invented by Tom Lochtefeld, its a "full-flower, FlowBarrel sheet wave that approximates a roaring 10-foot wave when cranked to setting 10," according to its owner, Terry Goh. Singapore has long been a crossroads for surfers seeking the perfect waves at beaches around Southeast Asia, however the island itself lacks the giant waves which surfers long for.

Wave House has brought a perfect, endless, 10’ barrel wave that rivals those at the beaches of Uluwatu, Grajagan or Macaronis, Indonesian coasts which boast the best waves around Singapore.

This 13-year-old girl named 'Rebecca Black' had hit the headlines this time. She's also trending on twitter. Her song 'FRIDAY' has been criticized by some to be the WORST-SONG-EVER! For me, that's really quite a claim. This young Californian girl is currently suffering Public-Hate, and humiliation and is being mocked on the internet for her Song. And for this she admitted that she's initially being very upset and crying about the comments that rained on her.

Some argued that Rebecca Black deserved every humiliation and negative reactions of the public. What on earth is about this SONG which created such intense reactions?

Well as for me, i'm not PRO it neither am AGAINST it. laughs*

But the thought is, why hate her? like C'mon! we should come to our senses. She's only a 13-year-old girl. what do you expect? For me, I think girls that age don't have so very painful memories to share, maybe that's why The song focuses mainly on the order of the days of the week and which car seat to choose when getting a lift and is so heavily auto-tuned, which maybe for her it's Fun, fun, fun, fun! :)

Well, if that's what she feels, then LET IT BE! i mean, she's a tweener nonetheless, if you have nothing to say something good. Then it might be all better for us, to shut our mouths off.
