Another exercise for the abs which is more efficient then above  is Windshield wiper. For this exercise, place a mat on the floor and lie on your  back with your arms in the &quot;T&quot; position for stability. Lift your legs so that  they are perpendicular to the upper half of your body and rotate your hips,  keeping them in contact with the floor, so that your legs move from left to  right, in a &quot;windshield wiper&quot; motion. Make sure to move in a controlled and  slow manner.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Twist and Crunch is also an important and efficient  exercise. In this exercise, place a mat on the floor and lie down on your back,  with your hands by your ears and your legs perpendicular to the floor. Twist  your hips slightly by contracting your right oblique muscles; hold that  position. Using your abs, bring your left elbow across your body to the outside  of your left knee. Slowly retain your initial position. Redo the movement on  your left side.&lt;br /&gt;

Another exercise for abs is Leg raise. For this exercise,  lie down on a flat bench with your legs up and perpendicular to the bench (hold  the bench behind your head for stability). Lift your hips slightly off the bench  by contracting your lower abs, hold for three-four seconds, and lower your hips.  Keep your back flat on the bench, your legs straight and lower your legs until  they almost form a straight line with the upper part of your body. Hold for a  count of three and bring them back to the initial position.&lt;br /&gt;

Apart from there they will be  excessively prone to infection; poor wound healing, hirsuitism (hair growth in  women).&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;b&gt;2. Pickwickian syndrome&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

This syndrome is caused by  many factors; obesity is one of the causes. Enlarged tonsils, acromegaly,  myxoedema are all other causes. What happens in this syndrome? During sleep  there is collapse of pharyngeal walls leading to respiratory obstruction,  sometimes for well over a minute. O2 and CO2 disturb sleep and there is daytime  somnolence. Personality changes, intellectual deterioration, headaches, enuresis  are all presenting features. One of the important aspects of treatment is to  lose weight.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;3. Laurence moon biedl syndrome&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
There is  polydaetyly (extra digits) retinitis pigmentos, cataract, microphthalmia,  obesity, absent facial hair, hypogenitalism. This is a pituitary gland disorder.  Also called Frohlichs syndrome or Adipose genital syndrome, some consider the  fat boy of Pickwick Papers as an example of this syndrome. Others put him in the  ‘pickwickian’ syndrome, i.e., obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome.&lt;br /&gt;
