Hi, Stephanie,

That's right - these are RAW vegan brownies. No cooking involved! (Though leaving the brownies cool in the fridge helps the flavors combine for an even tastier result.)

Have fun!

And I just realized, does that mean I don't need to bake these babies? Because you said they are raw brownies...I'm so sorry about all these questions, this is the first time I'm making vegan brownies :(

Alrighty! Thanks!
This is the only recipe that doesn't have any added sugar in it so that is why I'm so keen on trying it!

Hi, Stephanie,

Vanilla beans (whole or powdered) make the raw brownies turn out MUCH better. However, you can use vanilla extract (the best tasting one you can find). Try adding 2 tsp and see how things go. Note that vanilla extract is 'wet', so you may not need to add any extra water in order to get the right consistency for the brownie batter.

Please let us know if you're happy with the results of this modification.

Have a great day!

Hi there, I stumbled upon this recipe and I was wondering...what if I wanted to vanilla extract? Is that ok because you only have either vanilla beans/vanilla powder and I can't seem to find that :(

LOOKS GREAT! Will try asap.

Please DO NOT use agave. It's worse than high fructose corn syrup. Use raw honey or maple syrup.

i make walnut milk for my son who won't eat meat he is three. i mix it with a little whole milk and he has no idea. i like it with cereal. it is very easy to make and you don't need a high powered blender just let it run a little longer and make sure you strain it. i had vanilla and honey and it is wonderful,

No way that would keep for a week ~ Try 2 minutes =P I'd just drink it straight away. But its a great alternative to honey or other refined sugars.

Just for accuracy there are no varieties or cultivars of date called hunza and dates are not grown in the Hunza region. Anyone selling dates under this name is being deliberatly misleading.
