29 Aug 2013 (3rd appt)
Went to Dr Ang for ultrasound scan, baby has grown.
And have to start eating multi-vitamins.
Today is also the Oscar scan and blood test which will be done by the hospital.
The report will be pass to Dr Ang and explain to me on my next appointment provided there is no any high chance of down syndrome.
Too bad no pictures of the Oscar scan to show as we view it live..haha..
The sonographer told us our baby is awake and is quite active.
I do not know how she see it, but since they are professional, they should be quite experienced.

I'm Pregnant

Last month when I missed my period, I did not feel something amiss.
Cos I was taking antibiotics when my period is coming.
So I thought, that's ok as I have experienced missing my period due to stress and medication.
And I wait for a week, my period not here yet.
I begin to suspect a little and told myself to wait for another week and see how it goes.
As I experienced missing a period once, but that was quite few years back.
Finally, total of 2 weeks wait and still not seeing my period.

16 July 2013
I went to google to find more info and ask my colleague that were pregnant before.
She started asking me if I'm pregnant and I really do not know since I have not tested on the pregnancy test kit.
I told her I was contemplating whether a not to test the kit cos even I'm really pregnant.
It's still early and in the ultrasound, I may not hear the heartbeat yet.
She asked me if I have any history of weak womb or had cyst before.
Telling her I do not have such history, she advise me to test for it.
To see if the egg or baby is healthy.
She made me anxious and thought, "Ok, I better test it tomorrow morning."

17 July 2013
Sun rises, time to test on the Clearblue test kit which I have been keeping in the drawer for few months.
Pee and waited for the lines to come out.
I waited less than 10 seconds and 2 lines appear.
I read the instructions and seems like my hcG level has more since my period is past 2 weeks overdue.
I think I may really be pregnant so started researching on gynae.
In the end, my colleague (Ann) who advise me on testing the kit, recommends her gynae to me.
Dr Lawrence Ang at Thomson Medical Centre, he delivers at Mount Alvernia and Thomson Medical Centre.
I called the number which Ann gave me and book an appointment.

20 July 2013 (1st appt)
My 1st appointment with Dr Ang.
He talks moderately fast and will ask you questions like tested on the urine test kit a not and your last period.
Also, telling you the important things like food or activity you should avoid.
And he did an ultrasound scan on my tummy & I'm already 5 weeks 5 days pregnant with a small heartbeat.
Will need to come back again on 02 Aug 2013 to see if the heartbeat gets stronger.
My estimated due date will be 17 Mar 2014.

Finishing the ultrasound scan, we proceed to the counter for payment.
Since it is my 1st time gynae & am pregnant, the clinic have some freebies for me.

The heartbeat did gets stronger.

Its been a long time since I wrote a post here.
My customary actual day wedding was on 26 Nov 2012.
Not a grand wedding, just a private and mini type of wedding.
The only thing is I have to get up very early to prepare.
I got up at about 2.30am to wash up and make up need about 2hours.
My hubby need to reach at my house at 5.15am due to the Chinese auspicious hour.
Gate crashing for the sisters and bros is short but a fun one.
Had a lunch buffet held on my mum's side and his elder brother's side and also in our home.
Although it is not a grand wedding, everything went well and smooth.
Finally we are married, after 5 years of ups and downs.
Lastly, obstacles from my Dad.
Luckily, my hubby and I were able to pass my Dad's test.

Next up, our honeymoon trip was planned 13 April - 05 May 2013.
To be exact, we spend 20 days in Australia over places in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Gold Coast.
And our honeymoon is a road trip, we rent a Mitsubishi pajero to travel all the places that we have planned for.
Although it was quite a rush trip as we move accommodation to accommodation within 2-3 days.
But if we do not do that, we may need a month's time if we did the relaxing way.

Taipei trip and Pre-wedding photoshoot

Day 1
Wake up early to catch our flight at 8.30am.
Since he already have mileage that is entitled to gold krisflyer.
We took our breakfast in krisflyer gold lounge.
The selection of food and drinks not much but since we were going to have a in-flight meal at maybe 11am plus,that was fine for us.

Upon landing Taoyuan international airport, we called the driver as our photoshoot package(with Bluebay Wedding 蔚藍海岸) includes free airport transfer to and fro our hotel and airport.
There were another couple taking the same flight with us and we waited for them in the van as they went to buy Taiwan prepaid cards.
The weather there were much warmer than Singapore since its their summer.

As usual, we stayed in City Inn 2 in Taipei.

As our hotel located about 5mins away from Taipei Main Station.
We went out to have our lunch in a shopping centre named at Q square (京站時尚廣場)
Our stomach are rumbling away, we are already very hungry.
We did not have time to be fussy on which types of cuisine to eat.
There were quite a few japanese restaurants, therefore we chose Ramen Makotoya (誠屋拉麵).
We ordered set meal for our lunch.

Both of us had 特制叉焼白湯拉麵. Translated to English is called "Special made Char Siew white soup based lamian"

日式炸鸡.In English is called "Japanese fried chicken"

Our total course of the meal(main course+side dish+drink) is NTD576 after 10% service charge.
Around S$25.

After our lunch, we went to Longshan Temple (龍山寺).
We took MRT from Taipei Main station to Longshan Temple station.
The temple is located just beside the MRT station but you will have to walk through inside a shopping centre before reaching the temple.
There will be signs around to guide you to the temple, so there's nothing to worry about.

As my dad asked me to get for him an incense coil.
I went to a nearby shop to buy his stuff.
There are many shops selling incense paper and joss stick as taiwanese are mostly buddhist or taoist.

As we walked back from the incense shop, we have to go through Huaxi Street night market again.
There are 2 restaurants selling snakes soup.
But I only managed to take photo of one of the restaurant, the other restaurant do not allow photo taking.

It's the the summer season which is also their mango season :)
We decided to give it a try but seats are limited.
Have to keep a lookout for people who are leaving.

Heading back to Longshan Temple MRT station, we realised there is a street that sells deity & buddha statues.
I think there were around 10+ such shops.
I took photos of this deities as my dad are interested.

Ate 3 pieces,the label states that the food have to consume within 3 hours.

Day 2
Today is the day for selecting my gowns for the photoshoot.

There is a small fitting room in this large room.

There will be one assistant that will help you to choose some gowns for you to try.
I tried about 20 - 23 gowns, my package have 5 gowns including a white wedding gown.
After trying all the gowns, finally selected 5 gowns.
And it's hubby turn to try his suits.

As the men's suits is from another shop, we have to walk about 2mins to another shop.

As hubby forgot to bring his blouses which he need to use it for his photoshoot the next day.
We went back there to pass them the clothes as some of blouses will be wrinkled, they need to iron the blouses for the groom.
So do remember that the day, where the bride selects the gown, bring the groom's clothes and the bride's nubra, heels and the thngs you intend to use on the day of the photoshoot.

The make-up artist advise that after washing our face and apply toner, use a bottle at night and the day after in the morning.

Went to Yong Kang street to try the famous yong kang 15 of the shaved ice fruits.

Yong Kang 15 opens another store which is Yong Kang 9.

We check with them the difference between shaved ice and snowflake ice.
They told us that shaved ice is of rougher ice whereas snowflake ice is of refined ice.
I guess they use different machine to handle the ice, maybe that's the reason why the ice have different result.

Today we are going to a hot spring hotel at Xin Beitou.
2 years back, we did not have the chance to try hot spring.
Some of you may think, it's already summer and you are going for hot spring.
Isn't it very hot?
But we just wanted to try out the hot spring as the last time we came , we did not have the time to go for hot spring.

I done research on this hotel, their check-in time is 6pm and check-out time is 12pm.
At first, I would also think why the check-in time is so late?
As we reached the hotel about 4pm, they said we are allow to check-in at 3pm actually since we booked directly from their hotel website.

Got a surprise from hubby.
Thought he was not going to propose to me since he had gotten me a diamond ring for our 4th anniversary together.
The proposal was pretty simple.
He once asked me few years back,what kind of proposal I wished?
I told him not in the crowd as I do not like getting those kind of attention.
So as we were going Taipei the next day, I did not wear my diamond ring when staying overnight in my future home.
So when he fetch me from work, he asked me why didn't I wear my anniversary ring?
I said usually I don't wear the ring to overseas.
He replied, must wear take the ring with our photoshoot is nice.
So this point I did not suspect anything.
As I forgot to bring my heels for the photoshoot, I went back home to take my heels and also the ring.
Since he already said his reason.
Reach my future home,bathe and I was playing my ipad.
Hubby still busy packing his luggage.
Suddenly the next moment, he have a bouquet of blue roses in his hand and a small box and he proposed to me.
I was stunned and I said yes.
He took out a diamond ring and slipped into my finger.
End of proposal.
He said did I suspect anything or I already know?
Actually I did suspect he was going to buy a diamond ring for me but not so soon.
Cos he feels that I have no reaction as if I already knew.
I was too stunned to have any reaction on me. Haha...

The 2nd time that I went, I tried few more wedding gowns but still could not find the gown I wanted.
So I went home to think again whether I can settle with their off-the-rack gown which will be more cheaper or custom made gown.

Pros and cons between off-the-rack and custom made gown

Pros for off-the-rack
You can see, feel and wear the gown, best if you choose a gown that you like and also cheaper.

Cons for off-the-rack
Many brides may have worn the gown that you choose, but if you do not mind, this point would not bother you.
Sometimes the bridal shop may have new arrivals gowns from off-the-rack,be sure to check with them.

Pros for custom made
The gown will be made to measure accordingly to your body, based on the design you like and fabrics you want.
Since its a brand new gown specially made for you, you will be the first one(the custom made gown will be kept by the bridal shop and let the rest of the brides-to-be to wear as off-the-rack gown after your wedding day) or only one to wear it(the gown will be kept by you as you will buy it but the gown will be much more expensive than the one that is kept by the bridal shop).

Cons for custom made
Risk that the gown may not turned out the way you want.
Based on the fabrics and design you want, the cost will be expensive than off-the-rack.

Since I have done my homework on the types of wedding gown I like.
I went ahead with a custom made gowns and emailed her.
She have a group of seamstress in New York that will custom made the gown for me.
All along I thought her seamstress is in Singapore,was quite surprised they are in New York?
So my next concern was whether my custom made gown will be expensive?After she checked with her seamstress,based on the fabrics and design of the gown, the actual cost of the gown turns out quite reasonable for me after a little discount since I'm taking actual day package with them too.

Upon meeting Christin for the 3rd time,she advise the gown at least takes 3 months to complete, to be on the safe side will be 4 months as they need to ship the gown to Singapore.
If there is any earlier completion of the gown she will call me.
She took my measurement with my bra and heels(I intend to wear on wedding day) and only my underwear on.
Payment of the custom made must be paid in full and for the actual day package, they need you to pay 50% of the package price.
Finally the custom made gown queries is finalised, just waiting to see my gown in about 3-4months time.

Dolphins transform into humans

I had a dream last night.I was in a place in a rainforest and i got startled upon seeing a toad which was totally brown,more of sepia brown,size was about 13cm big.
There was someone who took away the toad.
But I did not see a person in my dream, just a hand, as I was afraid of toad,couldn't be possibly be my own hand!
As I walk further on, I seems to reach a town and the person that took away the toad also walk with me.
The building there were mostly vintage wooden shophouses, we went into one of the shophouses.
The place looks like a hostel and no one was at the front counter, we called out if there is anyone?
No one replied, so we decided to wait awhile.
We discovered a wooden tank with the top cover,the tank is filled with water.
To my surprise, the person who helped to took away the toad, put the toad into the water.
So all along the person have been carrying the toad.
Also,there were dolphins in the tank, I love dolphins but how could 5 dolphins be inside a wooden tank which is 1.5m by 0.9m?
I tried to touch them and the water became a whirlpool.
Slowly one by one jump out of the tank and transform to a human and all the 5 dolphins tranforms into a teenager guys.
One of them went straight to the front counter and ask how can he help me?
I was amazed by what had happen and I asked,"How do you do that?"
He did not reply but smiled cheerfully and said "Let me introduce my brothers to you."
After the introduction,he said "Oh, my another bro has not come back."
Speaking of the devil, the bro that he wanted to introduced to me,came back.
All of them were friendly but I was puzzled as to why he need to introduce all his brothers to me.
And my dream ended.

I had google on the toad I saw in my dream but could not find a close match to my dream.
There is no stressful or special happy occassion that has happened before this dream.
So I'm quite happy to see dolphins in my dream.

Equinox Dinner with colleagues

Back in May 2012, I went to Equinox with them (FG,WH,Levonne,Rachel & Stanley).
As my hubby have a 50% discount voucher off total food bill for dining for 6 - 12 persons and as the voucher going to expire soon too. I took the voucher from him as he have no time to utilise the voucher, therefore giving me to utilise the voucher is a good choice.真臭美..haha...
Thinking that since 50% discount off total food bill, I asked FG,WH,Levonne,Rachel & Stanley whether they are interested. Levonne helped me to asked Stanley as I do not mind Stanley joining us. Luckily the whole lot of them were free and no last min absentence..
All of us had the 3 course set meal.

The 3 of us had the following:
-Classic Lobster Bisque (Appetistier)
-Braised beef cheek (Main course)
-Sorbet (Dessert)

This is my first time dining at Raffles Courtyard.
As we reached there at about 6.30pm ,there were already people dining.
We thought we were too early or probably won't see a single customer.
We settled down with a table that has a patio umbrella.
There were no fans blowing and recently in Singapore, the weather are quite hot and humid.
So it's kind of my first time too for coming to eat good food but with no aircon or fans around.
Well, I think they should invest some fan stand around so when it's hot weather, the customer would not feel sticky due to perspiring.
We ordered the same food for me and my hubb this time.
It's steamed black cod with Asian bee Hoon.
The black cod is quite thick and had good texture.

Had dinner at TCC at centrepoint.
My favourite food and drink at TCC are penne mamma mia and fruitti delight.

I always eat the same food,no doubt that some of you will find it boring.
By the way,there is GSS Special from 25 May - 22 Jul 2012.
1 for 1 ,main course or pasta but terms and conditions apply.

Hubb had beef steak on crispy puff pastry and the drink he had, i forget the name..Oops...

And we had order extra dish called shrooms bite.

Bridal affairs (1st appointment)

Although bridal affairs is in a hdb home,but the service was not bad after all.
When we reached,there is another couple before us so Christin who is running a one woman show attended to us n let us in and we wait for her in the living room.
Finally it was our turn as the last couple left,Christin led us to a room and served us water.
There are few packages to choose from and depends on your needs.
But in the package if you could not choose a wedding gown and groom's suit with pants in the basic range that you like.
The rest of the wedding gowns requires an additional top-up.
They have 4 category of top up for the wedding gown.
Classic,premium,super premium and elite.
For my case,most probably I won't be holding a wedding banquet.
Christin advise us that with the classic or premium wedding gown will be enough.
As today was the first visit to bridal affairs,with the explaining of 2 packages to us and actual day photography and videography i felt the time for trying the gown was limited.

Photoshoot package & Actual Day Package Hunting

Last year,hubby and I signed a photoshoot package with Bluebay Wedding.
Bluebay Wedding is from Taiwan but they do have a branch in Singapore situated at Delfi Orchard.
After negotiation & freebies thrown in,our package came up to $2080nett with the makeup artist follow us throughout the photoshoot for free.
But there are some items not included in the package which we have to fork out additional money.

Our package includes:
Wedding photography package 12"x18"-30 sets
Canvas effect &waterproof arrangement
Indoor studio shots & outdoor shots
20"x30" canvas mounted photo with frame
Photo album suitcase
Soft copy of selected photos

Services provided on the day of photography:
Bride & groom makeup & hairstyling
Shirt, bow tie,white shoes for the groom
For the bride - wedding gown & evening dress (5 selection)
Fresh bouquet of flowers for photoshoot
For the groom - black or white European-style suit (2 selection)

These are the items that are not included in the package(additional expenses)
Each additional photo $80
Each handmade additional photo $54
(we do not need this)
Ampoules & make up base $23
Courier delivery charges ard $250-$400
Transportation fee for outdoor shoots (North Taiwan)- 4 hours $90,every additional hour $14
Transportation fee for outdoor shoots (Central Taiwan)- 4 hours $156,every additional hour $14
Entrance fees for some place that you need to go in & take your photoshoot.

I like the scenery in Taiwan.
Therefore, we signed the package with them after 4hours of viewing the photo
album & negotiation.
Overall,their customer service was good even when they are closing their shop but they did not hurry us out.
Appointment is needed to talk to them.
I'm not affiliated with them in any way.
My photoshoot haven been fixed on Jul 2012.

Since I was already with them, there's no harm asking about their actual day package.
I find that it's not really worth to take up their actual day package since they do not include the groom's suit with the price that I saw.

Most probably my chinese customary wedding day will be held in the month of Dec 2012.
So it's time to start hunting the actual day package.
I google a few bridal shops and have done my research on what kind of wedding gown I like.
Filtering out, I have listed 2 bridal shops.
They are bridal affairs and bridal veil.
I have colleagues who have experience with bridal veil,therefore I am not in a rush to make an appointment with them yet.
For bridal affairs, info from forums that they do their business from home, therefore appointment need to be fixed to view or try out their gown.
They do have a website which there are different packages to your needs.
Lastly, we will see how it goes since I have fixed an appointment with bridal affairs.

That day was his birthday and i had plan it 6 months in advance on what kind of birthday gift to give him...

In the end, I booked a package with Resort World Sentosa.

No doubt its his birthday, but i get to enjoy it too,hehe...

The check-in time is at 3pm and check-out time is at 12 noon.
We reached the hotel about 4pm, upon checking with the staff on Universal Studio Singapore(USS) closing time.
They told us Universal Studio Singapore closes at 7pm.
Omg...

I turn to my hubby and give him a face that we are short of time.
I guess the staff that are doing the check-in for us saw my facial expression and offer a solution that they could change the USS ticket date for us but we have to walk to the USS customer service counter before it closes at about 5pm.
Phew...I was glad we could change the ticket date or else with just 2 hours plus, i reckon that we could finish playing all the attractions in there.
By the way, i must thank the young male staff for being helpful and alert.
As it was my hubby's actual birthday, the staff requested for his IC card for verification.
After verifying, the staff told us that they would be giving him a complimentary birthday cake.

A trip to Bangkok.
It's not the first time going to Bangkok.
We went there after we bought a deal online and got our voucher.
It's quite a steal as some of you should know that staying in banyan tree is not cheap.
Although it's a short trip, we enjoy our time there.

Yesterday went to watch a movie between gods and humans, the movies are based on greek god mythology.
Zeus chose a mortal man named Theseus to lead the fight against a ruthless King Hyperion, who is on a rampage across Greece to obtain a weapon that can destroy humanity.
This movie has a scene of sexuality and strong bloody violence.
Be sure to catch this movie if you like fighting scene.

Lately I've been busy playing and exploring my ipad2.
Saw the app store have blogger app.
Finally blogger came up with their own app.
Although it's still pretty new.
I think they can improve better on their app.
Enough on the app as i'm going to this place in another 2 weeks.

I'm excited about it as I've never been there before and lastly I like to travel overseas!!Yeah...
