Responsible for providing cardiac and neurology testing in accordance with policies, procedures to ensure that the quality of patient care is in keeping with the hospital standards. Responsible for ensuring quality and appropriateness of care for all age groups. Interrelationship personnel are all hospital staff, physicians, patients, and patient family members. Must be flexible to cover shifts as needed, available to rotate weekends, holidays and call assignments, active with a current BLS certification at all times.

Responsible for preparing, organizing and maintaining the sterile field under the direction of a registered nurse for assigned surgical cases. Assists the surgeon during surgical procedures.

Under general direction of the Technical supervisor, prepares patients for and conducts routine and special END

procedures, on all ages of patients served by the department. The technologist is responsible for performing END

procedures in the Lab and at bedside in at least 3 different modalities or 7 - 10 different procedures, and is responsible for

maintaining high quality standards in accordance with JCAHO, ASET and Baptist Health South Florida.

Correctly obtain 12 lead ECGs, rhythm strips, assist in Code Blues and Code Rescues, attach 24 hour Holter monitors, and attach 24 hour blood pressure monitors. Ability to use three channel ECG equipment. Ability to learn all functions of the in-house computer system. Profound knowledge of arrhythmias and changes in ECG patterns and rhythms.
