Monsieur Karl took inspiration from the 60s movie Last Year at Marienbad for his Spring 2011 show. Guest are being transported to a black and white garden together with a live orchestra playing the music for the fashion show. Below are some of the images from the movie Last Year at Marienbed where the costume was designed by Coco Chanel herself.

Another one of those shops that i will die to have. I think my heartbeat will stop for a moment if i ever get into that shop. Dear:Rivington sells not just clothes but also furniture and collectibles which are beautiful beautiful beautiful. But most of his stuff are vintage except for the clothes which comes in the form of Comme Des Garcons, the only brand i know of as i care more of the home interior items then anything else. Just wish i could own a place like this but i think i will have problem selling my items as i most likely unwilling to let them go.

Issey Miyaki STICKS out

I see pick-up sticks when i see this. Indeed it was inspired by it. Emmanuelle Maureaux has created an installation from interlocking coloured sticks at three Issey Miyaki stores in Tokyo. The appear to be just like the beginning of the game where the sticks are about to drop from the hand of the player. Dont be deceived by the 'out-of-balance' look. It is infact as sturdy as an old oak tree.

Temporary restaurants were mushrooming around London during the LDW. One of it the Hel Yes! serving Finnish food and design. You will see seats with fabric canopies by designer Alvar Aalto and also tables made by Linda Bergroth from saplings thinned out from a forest near Helsinki, secured at the top to form arching branches over each table, not very environmental friendly..... Guests will feast with glassware by Harri Koskinen and staff uniforms by Heikki Salonen. Not to miss is the video work by Maria Duncker.

Another new refreshing window display from Louis Vuitton at Bond Street using ostrich eggs as the theme. Initial of the display all the eggs were still well formed and as day goes by, one by one of the eyes will hatched, giving birth to not baby ostriches but products from the luxury brand itself. I'm going to witness it myself when i get there!

Many of them i must say carry it out pretty good till you cant tell unless it is mentioned.

Stick and bricks are know for reviving old furniture and turn them into some marvelous pieces that you cannot resist to lay your hands on. this month they held arts night out over at their place with work from Mia Cabana and her husband Oliver Scott Snure showcasing their work they created out of some old books. Photographs, taken by Oliver can be purchase at the event.

Due out in June 'Spirit', features contributions from Lady Gaga, Steven Klein, Mario Sorrenti, Steven Meisel, Nick Knight, and Mario Testino. Each image has been printed on special paper that when planted and showered with water and sunlight, will blossom into wildflowers.
