“Now, therefore, Israel, what does the Lord, your God, ask of you but to fear the Lord, your God, to follow in all His ways, to love and serve the Lord, your God, with your whole heart and with your whole being…” (Deuteronomy 10:12)

There could be many things to write on thoughts. But there’s no point to that. After all, God’s glory is important in the ministry, in any ministry.

To sum it all, we’ve passed from hope to lack of hope, from joy to sadness and then joy again, frustration, lots of work with no visible result and the list may go on.

But praises be to our Father, He does not act on emotions, although He is the creator of feelings as well. On the contrary, He works against all odds.

This year we’ve learned that God never leave or forsakes His ministry. The people are the ones that stop believing, stop asking for things according to His will, stop waiting on Him. We’ve learned, time and again, that God looks at the heart not at the outward appearance; we’ve learned that if we don’t give in the control over things to God, to the smallest detail, it will, inevitably, go out of our control.

God is everything and He has to be our everything!

Seventeen children and ten grownups enjoyed the Christmas celebration in Comarnic, with English Christmas carols and poems. At the end each child got a present and each grown up got a devotional calendar for the next year.

And then the kids in Campina enjoyed their bit of Christmas celebration, singing and reciting and just being there with the church.

Praise God for that! We’re grateful to God for His faithfulness and we’re grateful to you for your continual prayer and support. There is power in His servants’ fervent prayer!

This is our resolution for the year 2015: fear the Lord, follow in all His ways, love and serve God with our whole heart and our whole being.

This is the message we want to pass along to the kids we meet with.

Here we are, by the grace of God, at the end of another year filled with blessings in sector 4 of Bucharest!

It has been a tough road to walk on but God’s love opened some hearts and helped the Gospel move forward. Many of the kids that are frequent to our meetings came closer to God. Their behavior has changed for the better and they show respect to God’s Word – they read it, memorize it and whenever they face problems, they pray!

At the Christmas celebration 7 of the most hard-working kids have set up a great skit and it was just amazing to notice the effort they put into learning their lines and becoming actors, even if it was for 5 minutes.

As the end of the year is so close, we just want to share some of their own prayer requests:

Maria – I want to stop being naughty

Busca – I want to learn how to tie my shoe laces (and when she said that she was quite upset)

Nagi – I want to have a phone

Aise – I want to find a job and I want my mom to come home (her mom is off to Spain for work)

Mihai – I want to have my share in the blessings of the Lord

Samir – I want to be better in school

Georgiana – I want to be able to learn by heart

Meli – I want my tests results to be better

Maira – I want my dad to come out of prison

Bela&Claudia – We want our mom and dad to come home

Goghi – I want to stop being naughty

Three of the mothers (Coca, Pitica, Nagi’s mum) want us to pray for their health.

For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them.(Matt. 18:20) 

May the joy, peace and love that only come from our Savior take roots in the hearts of these kids and their parents!

From daily bread to walking boots…. we tried to help as many of these children and their families that we’ve come to know through the years…

We met, we prayed, we loved and helped but most importantly, the light of the knowledge of Christ shined among them!

Thank you for your vital partnership in this work of our Lord! We could not have accomplished these without your prayers and precious help!

We had a wonderful time celebrating Thanksgiving, with the children and their parents, in the village of Curcani, 50 km away from Bucharest (Romania)! Praise God for their interest in the Gospel!

It was joy to have been in Campina recently to serve with our team in the Prahova region of Romania. We had a leadership conference on Saturday. I was encouraged by the turn out and interest of each man in our time of learning together.

Then on Sunday we went to Comarnic, a small town 20 minutes north of Campina. Our prayer and work in Comarnic is to have a church plant there. We have started with a focus on the children in the area. We were greatly encouraged to also have a mother and grandmother come as well.

Please pray for this vital work in a town in need of our Lord’s church!

Campina Conference

I just returned from Yerevan, Armenia, were I had 9 days of ministry. Armenia is a very strategic country! Look at a map and you will see Muslim countries all around.The Baptist church has grown and is growing, thanks to our Lord’s hand of favor.

I met with 200 youth on Saturday and taught a couple of times.I traveled to churches outside the capital area and met with youth there also. A Pastor friend and his wife traveled with me (they are from South Carolina). It was a joy to have them helping on this mission! We had some very important meetings concerning issues that I cannot explain now due to security.

Thank you all very much for your investments and prayers that allow us to advance the gospel of God!

Campina and Comarnic may seem, at times, like Horazin, Bethsaida or Capernaum. God alone knows the truth. He knows about all those repentance times, in fact, He is the one preparing them. We enjoy serving Christ and we are humbled by this amazing opportunity to be living witnesses for Him.

We love these kids so much! In the time we spent with them we formed a nice friendship. They’re only a few, about 4 in Campina and 3 in Comarnic, a number that may vary from week to week and a number that means nothing in the sight of the Lord of Hosts, the One who fights for their souls!
