This exciting adventure takes you back to the days of Henry Morgan and his buccaneers. Skull Island, as it's still known, was one of Captain Morgan's stop for fresh water and food before launching his terrorizing attacks to Grand Granada, the jewel of the Spanish Crown. We will follow the route these buccaneers used to take on their journey to sack and burn Granada, while enjoying the sun, the beach, and many other exhilarating activities.

At Eco Xpedition Tours we pride ourselves in being the only tour company in Nicaragua dedicated to offering an eco friendly experience of the country by providing responsible tour venues that work closely and support local communities in their quest to preserve their natural environments, while at the same time adding an extra source of income.

We set ourselves apart from other tour companies by choosing only local hotels or eco lodges, restaurants that dedicate themselves to serving organic foods, employing local guides and limiting the size of our groups to minimize the environmental and social impact. By working hand in hand with local communities we have the ability to offer you the best of local culture, tradition and nature in combination with active and adventurous experiences.

By providing responsible tours that embrace the ideology of preserving the environment we help raise awareness to all of our country’s visitors of the impact that people have on the environment and the direct effects on the land. While visiting the different landscapes in Nicaragua we will make sure to leave as little of our presence, minimal footprints, behind and by adopting the three “R’s”, to reduce, reuse and recycle as much as possible.

Currently we are assisting a local farm in Ocotal, Nicaragua to convert 5 acres of land to preserve the wildlife, flora and fauna.
