Whenever new job numbers come out everyone always hopes for the best for those out of work, but this week the numbers reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics were not good. Employers only adding 88,000 jobs last month, and that is the fewest in nine months. This number is well below the six month average. Estimates show that you have to add 125,000 jobs a month just to keep up with population growth. Moreover, the unemployment rate fell to 7.6% in March according to the Labor Department. New concerns for recent college graduates looking for their first big break in the job market. The recession is forcing millions of them into low skill low pay jobs, and what was meant as a temporary move for a lot of them is now turning into a prolonged underemployment. That is of course for those lucky enough to find jobs. The national unemployment rate is now 7.7%, but looking at Economic Policy Institute stats for 2012 show more than 19% of college grads were working but underemployed.
