I’ve had the opportunity to work with Ed as the primary Project Manager for the Sears Home Services project. In that time, I’ve seen him excel as coordinator and leader, while also helping to define processes and identify priorities. Ed also has a diverse background that makes him an excellent problem solver and is able to see each problem through varied lenses. While under pressure, Ed remains calm and focused, identifying the issues that need to be addressed first and manages the personalities involved to keep the project moving.

Ed is a rarity; he’s a conscientious project manager. I’ve seen him slice through many roadblock situations with the perfect approach, whether it needed a snow-plow or an ice-pick. He deeply understands the value project management has for an organization, and he knows user-experience design. With these skills together, he’s been instrumental in producing a functional and performant design group for agile product development. I’d happily work with him again.

Ed and I worked together on the PartsDirect team at Sears, where he was the Project Manager, and I was on the UX team. Ed was a fount of information about the release process, project needs, and stakeholders, and he was instrumental in my being comfortable within the team and organization. He served in multiple capacities, some of them include Project Manager, Product Manager, and often lending his talent in Creative Direction. He is a proactive and adaptable leader, who is consistently willing to step into difficult situations to find quick resolution. One of Ed’s greatest assets was his keen foresight. He has the unique ability to get in front of potential issues, see multiple angles, and be an efficient facilitator in resolution. Ed is not shy, and proved to be a great oral leader in managing expectations between the UX, BU and development leads during yearly planning. He’s also great at being flexible- when the data reveals a discovery that mandates a shift Ed helps move the team forward by utilizing his insight and clear head.
