This song is a storming cover of the Uriah Heep song that features not only Sebastian Bach on vocals, but original Heep guitarist Mick Box. This stellar group of musicians have combined to rip the song from the ‘70s and give it new life with an updated groove and feel, all the time paying homage to the original.

Sebastian Bach adds,“Uriah Heep is a band that my dad listened to a lot…that was my introduction to Uriah Heep. Of course the song Easy Livin’ was a big hit song, but Look At Yourself was a deep cut and it also reminds me of Deep Purple a little bit, the sound of it. I love ‘70s rock n’ roll and the fact that Mick Box from Uriah Heep is on this track is incredible. Bob Daisley from Ozzy’s band – I never thought I would record with him so it’s unbelievable. I’m adding the tone of my voice to the song Look At Yourself and I’ve added some high harmonies that are not on the original.  I’m trying to make it different, but the same. So I hope Mick Box can hear that it’s honoring the original version, but then I throw in a couple of harmonies and screams and what have you.”

Originally released in early March as a paid digital download on the band’s web site, Midnight Gasoline the second release with the band’s new lead vocalist Nate Peck, 2023 American Idol golden ticket recipient from Season 21, who officially joined the group in 2024.

He replaced late Firehouse frontman C.J. Snare, who passed on April 5th, 2024 at the age of 64 following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Firehouse formed in 1984 in Richmond, Virginia. The band then moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where they signed with Epic Records in 1989. The band reached stardom during the early 1990s with charting singles like Don’t Treat Me Bad, All She Wrote, and Reach for the Sky, as well as their signature power ballads Love of a Lifetime, When I Look into Your Eyes, and I Live My Life for You. At the 1992 American Music Awards, FireHouse won the award for “Favorite New Heavy Metal/Hard Rock Artist.”

When asked how he feels about various long-running bands hitting the road without all the original players, Faulkner, as per blabbermouth.net, “”I think as long as the guys wanna do it, they should do it. If people don’t wanna go, then don’t go. And people kind of vote with their ticket, don’t they? If Rush got up there and you’ve got 20,000 people in an auditorium and the guys wanna do it, do it. But if Rush turned up and there was five people there, they’ve got an issue. Maybe people don’t wanna see it. I can name other bands as well. If the guys wanna do it and people are showing up in the thousands to see it, then why not do it? If people don’t wanna go, then don’t. Simple as that. That’s what I’d say.”

[Dana’s note: When it comes to Judas Priest, the band has three remaining original members: vocalist Rob Halford, guitarist Glenn Tipton and bassist Ian Hill.

Consequently, due to his 2008 diagnosis with Parkinson’s disease, Tipton has had to retire from touring. However, when possible, he does make special live appearances from time to time. But for touring purposes, he has been replaced by the band’s producer, Andy Sneap. Furthermore, I do believe that he may still be an active member, who continues to contribute with the band’s writing, and recording process, of new material.

Original guitarist KK Downing parted ways with the band in 2011. Additionally, before Scott Travis, became the band’s longest running drummer, it was Dave Holland, who played on the band’s most iconic albums and tours. Holland was released by the band in 1989 under scandalous circumstances.]

The band’s manager Rod Smallwood told Billboard in an e-mail, “As the most observant have already noticed, the band will be on tour in Australia around the November date of the induction ceremony for the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in Los Angeles. In accepting, Iron Maiden made it very clear to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame that the fans always come first and that the shows will, of course, go on.

“We would like to assure all our fans in Australasia that the Australian and New Zealand dates will remain unaffected,” Smallwood added, “and we look forward to bringing the Run For Your Lives tour to them on the penultimate stop of our 50th-anniversary celebrations.”

The 2026 Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame ceremony will take place on November 14th at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. It will air on ABC and Disney+ the following month. It should be noted that on November 14th.

According to what Exodus guitar legend Gary Holt told [Ultimate Guitar] in a recent interview, [that after joining Slayer as a touring replacement in 2011] [having to learn] Jeff Hanneman‘s [playing style] came with its challenges that mostly boiled down to his way of thinking.

Holt said, “Learning Jeff‘s riffs, the hard part at first is learning how to think like he did in order to learn them correctly. Because I’d learn riffs, I’d sit and practice at home, and [Slayer guitarist Kerry [King] would give me the songs to learn, and I’d learn them, but there’d be little things wrong. But that’s because I was thinking too much in terms of structured riffage and not chromatically enough.”

“Then, as the years have gone by, it got easier because I was able to kind of put myself in his mindset, a little bit of how he wrote,” Holt admitted. “So, you start identifying the things he did.”

Regarding if there will be any new Slayer music, Hold replied, “There’ll be no new music, We have two shows booked this year, and we’re having fun when we do those couple of shows. The band has no intention of touring. I’m fully dedicated to Exodus, and Kerry and [drummer] Paul [Bostaph] are fully dedicated to the Kerry King band.”

Live Nation Entertainment has been found liable in its bombshell monopoly lawsuit a major move that could drastically shake up the live music landscape as a judge now decides the penalty Live Nation and Ticketmaster should face.

After a weeks-long trial that featured testimony from Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino as well as other major industry stakeholders such as AEG Presents CEO Jay Marciano and Drake’s manager Adel Nur, jurors ruled on Wednesday that Live Nation functions as a monopoly that has squashed competitors and driven up ticket costs for fans. The bulk of the claims jurors focused on were related to requirements for artists at Live Nation’s amphitheaters, as well as claims that Live Nation strong-armed concert venues to use Ticketmaster if they wanted access to Live Nation’s concerts.  

The verdict comes two years after the DOJ and nearly 40 plaintiff states had first announced a lawsuit against the live music giant in May of 2024, with the department taking an aggressive and rare call to break up Live Nation and Ticketmaster over a decade after the DOJ had originally allowed the merger over a decade prior.

The DOJ, however, surprised the court after confirming it had reached a settlement with Live Nation just days after the trial started. A few of the plaintiff states joined in settling alongside the federal government, but over 30 states — including market leaders California, New York and Texas — decided to keep litigating on their own, enlisting prominent antitrust lawyer Jeffrey Kessler as their counsel.

With the verdict decided, the next question remains what remedies Judge Arun Subramanian will deem necessary, and if that would include a breakup. While a divestment of Ticketmaster and Live Nation was the solution the DOJ had originally sought, without the DOJ’s involvement, it’s unclear how realistic that remedy would be. States have the same authority to pursue certain remedies, including a breakup, under the Clayton Act.

Gail Slater, the former assistant attorney general for anitrust who had stepped down before the Live Nation trial began, tweeted out praise to the plaintiff states on Wednesday, writing that they had You “made antitrust history today.”

“Live Nation and Ticketmaster must be broken up now,” said National Independent Venue Association director Stephen Parker  “Ticketmaster should not be permitted to participate in the ticket resale market. Live Nation should not be able to promote more than 50% of artists’ tours. And the damages paid to the states should be remitted to the independent venues, promoters, festivals, and fans that have suffered under Live Nation’s monopolistic reign over the last 15 years.”

Asked for his opinion of Tommy Bolin, who replaced Blackmore on lead guitar in Deep Purple more than 50 years ago, Blackmore said (as transcribed by blabbermouth.net), “Well, I knew him more as a friend. And he was such a nice guy that I couldn’t believe he was a guitar player, because most guitar players aren’t nice people. He was so nice, and he was an Indian — I think Sioux Indian or something — and I would go around his house, and we’d often have fun just talking to each other. There was never ever any envy, no competition whatsoever.”

“I said to Tommy once, ‘When did you last change your strings?'” Blackmore recalled. “And he looked at me, like, ‘I should change them?’ And I said, ‘Well, yeah.’ And he said, ‘Well, probably about five years ago,’ ’cause they were so caked in dirt and grit. He was a brilliant player, a great player, but he never changed his guitar strings.”

As for whether he still keeps in contact with the members of Deep Purple, he said, “Yes, [drummer] Ian Paice sends me regards now and again, and I talked to [singer] Ian Gillan and [former vocalist] David Coverdale. But I don’t know the new people in the band. I mean, obviously [current keyboardist] Don Airey was in Rainbow. Don is a brilliant keyboard player, but he has been in every band in the business.”

After one fan suggested that Blackmore could undergo surgery for foot gout in order to help him return to touring, the guitarist replied, “I don’t play with my feet. It’s not just my feet that I have a problem on tour with. I have a problem with my back, my heart and  my feet. And to go on tour at 81 is pushing it. And I don’t really wanna just sit down on stage, which I would have to do anyway. I’m kind of running out of energy a little bit. When you play rock and roll, you’ve gotta have a lot of energy, but I tend to like sleeping a lot these days.”

Marking a full-circle moment in their storied career, the LP finds Tesla returning to its roots with a collection of covers honoring some of rock’s most timeless hits.

To offer fans a taste of what to expect on Homage, Tesla has shared its cover of Climax Blues Band‘s iconic track I Love You (2026 version). The new single arrives alongside an official video, available to view below.

Tesla comments, I Love You, like all the tracks on Homage, not only pays tribute to legends but gives us a chance to showcase our lead singer’s diversity as well as the musical dynamics we learned as a band many years ago.”

It is remarkable to reflect on the more than 40 years since Tesla began as a cover band performing in California nightclubs before going on to write and record original material and sell millions of albums.

Much like their musical heroes — The Beatles and The Rolling Stones — artists who honed their craft by performing songs from those who came before them, Tesla followed a similar path in their early years and continues to embrace the tradition of paying tribute through cover songs today.

Homage not only honors legendary artists but also provides an opportunity to showcase Tesla lead singer Jeff Keith‘s vocal diversity. The album stands as a thank-you expressed through music, an offering to the iconic voices and songs that shaped the band’s influences and, ultimately, their own songwriting.

Homage is not about imitation, but acknowledgment, tracing the line from influence to identity, from listening to becoming. The project also arrives more than 20 years after the Real To Reel series, a release that helped inspire the creation of a new original Tesla song, Never Alone.

The selected songs on Homage were chosen for a variety of reasons, primarily representing some of the greatest vocalists of all time, including Elvis Presley, Freddie Mercury, Sam Cooke, David Ruffin, Etta James and James Brown. Additional selections reflect songs the band grew up hearing on the radio and on their turntables.
