<p style="text-align: justify;">Edelman Vancouver is looking for a Senior Account Manager to play a major role on our team which creates and implements comprehensive, annual public relations campaigns for our Canadian consumer client in the retail fuels division; including message development, event management, brand reputation management, stakeholder communications and influencer outreach, social media and digital channels, traditional and paid media. This position is specific to this client, with the expectation that 50 – 60% of your time will be spent on this account. Remaining time will be appropriately assigned to other agency accounts.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Our Senior Account Manager will execute smart campaigns for multiple projects year round, acting as a client liaison and be accountable for project budgets as well as new business solicitation. Pending performance, this is an exciting opportunity to become a leader among a team of 6 – 8 colleagues and gain insights into the strategies and workings of a multi-national account.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">We need a strategic, confident and detailed manager, who can be a strong backbone for the team. You must have an eagle eye for editing, a quick learning curve, be able to grasp complex issues and processes, and show knowledge and curiosity in order to offer qualified opinions on how to translate our clients’ visions into reality. Candidates must have 5-7 years of agency experience. Preference will be given to those with retail fuels industry experience and/or knowledge.</p>
<h4 style="text-align: justify;">Qualifications:</h4>
<ul style="text-align: justify;">
<li>Strong understanding of the traditional, social and digital markets as it relates to consumer brands, with 5-7 years’ experience in PR; preference will be given to candidates with retail fuels industry experience and/or knowledge</li>
<li>Strong organizational and project management skills, with proven ability to manage multiple sizable accounts simultaneously, and multiple stakeholders such as clients in numerous time zones and external agency partners</li>
<li>Exceptional written and verbal communications skills with demonstrated ability to write across a wide variety of platforms</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to effectively multitask, delegate and manage assignments and accurately evaluate the work of others</li>
<li>Familiarity with best practice communications tactics and public relations tools, ability to appropriately recommend them and lead the execution of all related projects in house</li>
<li>Ability to act as a client contact and to be responsible for client-related finance management, including managing large projects within budget</li>
<li>A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university is preferred</li>
<li>Enthusiasm and eagerness to join a challenging and rewarding account; ability to motivate and inspire more junior team members</li>

<p style="text-align: justify;">You are an experienced digital media leader who will help manage and drive paid media programs on behalf of some of the world’s leading global brands, including a major client in the energy sector. Our paid media practice is rapidly expanding, representing an incredible opportunity to help define and grow the offering from the ground floor.</p>

<li>Provide senior strategic counsel on paid social media initiatives across diverse set of mediums (print, broadcast, radio, OOH, digital, social) for a major energy sector client</li>
<li>Manage multiple facets of client programs including strategy development, planning, campaign execution and buying, implementation, optimization, analytics and reporting</li>
<li>Exhibit strong experience with paid offerings on key social media platforms</li>
<li>Monitor trends in the paid media space along with staying up to speed on measurement approaches</li>
<li>Draft proposals, budgets and timelines for client projects.</li>
<li>Oversee media research and POV development</li>
<li>Work with Edelman Search experts to hone Edelman Digital’s unique paid media and SEM perspective (capabilities decks, case studies, pitch decks, etc)</li>
<li>Work with industry partners to gain insights and understanding into top trends and opportunities in the media space</li>
<li>Understand online research techniques and methodologies and use them to support development/execution of client campaigns</li>
<li>Exhibit strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and measurement approaches</li>

<h4 style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></h4>

<li>At least six to eight years of relevant experience</li>
<li>A deep expertise in evaluating, negotiating, planning and purchasing of online media, especially social, mobile and search media</li>

<li>A deep expertise in evaluating and planning Broadcast media</li>
<li>A passion for growing a media strategy practice that focuses on paid media in conjunction with community management and content strategy</li>
<li>Experience managing large-scale media programs on behalf of blue-chip consumer clients</li>
<li>Able to manage the budgets and interdisciplinary account teams on sizable pieces of business</li>
<li>Agency-wide responsibility for account profitability, new business solicitation, and quality of account service and employee development</li>
<li>Superior communication skills and ability to counsel clients’ top executive management on online marketing issues. Interactive development experience is a plus.</li>
