<p>Reporting to the Vice President, Calgary, the <strong>Senior Account Manager</strong> will contribute to the leadership and overall direction of account teams as it relates to client service, account management and quality control. You will also co-lead and/or contribute to winning new client business.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will play a major role in the development of comprehensive public engagement campaigns including message development, copywriting, event management and effective pitching to media and other stakeholders, incorporating visual communications, social media and digital channels into client programs. Working in cross-practice and cross-geographical teams, the Senior Account Manager will oversee the quality and performance of accounts, ensuring work meets Edelman’s high global standards, and adherence to budgets and deadlines.</p>

<h4>Qualifications:</h4>
<ul>
<li>5+ years of related experience</li>
<li>Experience in communications at an integrated marketing, PR or advertising agency</li>
<li>Strong organizational and project management skills, with proven ability to manage multiple small or medium-sized projects simultaneously</li>
<li>Ability to work with senior staff to develop and execute communications plans based on client goals</li>
<li>Experience in executing social media and digital applications with demonstrated understanding of social media strategies and integrated communications planning, including Facebook community management, integration of tools such as Twitter, Instagram and Foursquare, social media advertising and development of written and creative web materials</li>
<li>Demonstrated success in media relations, including materials development, pitching, and interview coordination</li>
<li>Exceptional written and verbal communications skills with demonstrated ability to write across a wide variety of topics and platforms</li>

Reporting to the National Digital Lead, this role will be responsible for maintaining the overall business direction for the Edelman Digital Technology team, partnering effectively with clients and US partners, and effectively leading a talented team of technical resources in the Edelman Montreal office.</p>

<h4>Core Responsibilities:</h4>
<p><strong><em>Business Strategy</em></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Maintain overall business direction and vision for the Edelman Digital technology team in Canada</li>
<li>Develop strategic business roadmap in coordination with various Canadian and US business units and execute against that roadmap</li>
<li>Ensure the team stays up to speed on marketplace trends and changes and adapts to serve the evolving needs of our clients</li>
<li>Drive integration for the Edelman Digital technology team in Canada with our various Canadian and US teams across the portfolio of our PR and Digital services</li>
</ul>
<p><em><strong>Operational Excellence</strong></em></p>
<ul>
<li>Assist in determining ROI for client web-sites via the setup and analysis of website analytics</li>
<li>Estimate timing and budget for potential new business opportunities</li>
<li>Handle budgeting for annual technology upgrades</li>
<li>Work with Finance to resolve outstanding invoices for technology vendors and temporary resources</li>
<li>Develop product and pricing consistency across the spectrum</li>
<li>Oversee resource management to effectively run the business within acceptable levels of service and profitability</li>
<li>Total financial responsibility for specific set of accounts including forecasting and project profitability</li>
<li>Track time and correct billing issues; manage monthly billing worksheets</li>
<li>Document/track cost variations and keep team/manager abreast of changes</li>
<li>Complete timesheets</li>
<li>Comply with company financial management policies and procedures</li>
</ul>
<h4>Technical Architect/Strategist:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Oversee a team of 15 developers, QA analysts and business managers based in Montreal</li>
<li>Act as a senior level counterpart to internal and external client leadership, providing technical direction to the client. Create technical solutions with core team and development partners that achieve client’s desired business objectives while keeping in mind existing constraints.</li>
<li>Document and explain proposed solutions for discussion with client.</li>
<li>Write functional and technical briefs in coordination with Account Team.</li>
<li>Write project technical documentation for internal/client reference.</li>
<li>Collaborate with fellow Technical Directors to standardize technical solution procedures.</li>
<li>Research and suggest new technologies and platforms.</li>
<li>Proactively suggest cross functional areas to collaborate on new products and capabilities.</li>
</ul>
<h4>Technical Project Management:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Manage day-to-day development of internal technical teams and external technical partners toward successful deliverables.</li>
<li>Work in close partnership with Project Management team to set realistic timelines, and offer options (with appropriate opportunity costs) when phasing strategies must be employed.</li>
</ul>
<h4>Technical Support:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Ongoing management of live sites/systems in collaboration with client as well as project management, creative and account teams.</li>
<li>Act as the primary technical contact for clients and delegating work to developers or development partners.</li>
</ul>
<h4>Talent Development:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Coach and motivate junior staff</li>
<li>Challenge staff to ensure they work on a variety of projects</li>
<li>Delegate work fairly and systematically</li>
<li>Manage deadlines of staff</li>
<li>Complete reviews when appropriate; contribute to performance appraisal process for peers and managers</li>
<li>Ensure goals and expectations are clear and that team members are consistently measured and rewarded for achieving them</li>

<h4>Requirements:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Must have technology management experience in a digital agency environment working on a variety of small, medium and large web based sites and applications.</li>
<li>10+ years’ hands on experience with broad range of technologies including but not limited to: LAMP, .NET, SQL Server, XHTML/CSS, AJAX, Javacript, PHP, HTML5, Web APIs such as Google, Facebook, Twitter.</li>
<li>Ability to gather and document business, functional and technical specifications.</li>
<li>Experience working with hardware architects to ensure a scalable software solution.</li>
<li>Experience with Web analytics platforms such as Webtrends, Google Analytics and/or Omniture</li>
<li>CMS experience such as Drupal, Expression Engine, Sharepoint and WordPress a plus.</li>
<li>Social Media experience a plus, including understanding blogging systems, social network APIs and mobile.</li>
<li>Bilingual capabilities preferred</li>
<li>Some travel may be expected.</li>

You recognize that Consumer Insights is integral in the world of Digital Brand Consulting and strive to use fact-based insights to drive digital brand strategy creation, optimization and execution.</p>
<p>As an <strong>Analyst in Analytics and Intelligence</strong>, you will be a key part of the Edelman Digital Insights team. Your core focus will be on the execution of analysis and delivery of insights using a variety of methodological techniques and report styles.</p>
<h4>Desired skills and experience</h4>
<ul>
<li>Have a strong grasp and passion for social media, how and why it’s used.</li>
<li>Have an understanding of how to execute project work using social media relevant research methods such as: conversation analysis, post-performance analysis, engagement retention and modeling, forecasting and driver analysis.</li>
<li>Education or experience executing research across key social platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Blogs.</li>
<li>A bachelor or graduate degree from an accredited post-secondary institution.</li>
