Back before America became homogeneous and political correct there was a wholesomeness to America. Now I'm not saying that somebody should be treated any different than anybody else and I certainly am not prejudice in any way. On the other hand you have to admit that before all the upheaval of the 60's there was a wholesomeness that we have lost in all our political correctness and trying to make everything the same and I will say that I was part of that upheaval.
I see families sitting at the dinner table, kids on their mobile devices, no real conversation going on. Even adults gathered in social places most are constantly checking their phones and emails. No real thought provoking conversation going on. Try this; play a game where every one puts their phone on the table and the first one to pick theirs up has to buy the round.

Back before we could buy asparagus from Argentina in February obesity and cancer were not the scourge of the nation. Back before all this mass communication people were friendlier. We are connected to more people but don't know the people living next door to us. We, as a people have made tremendous leaps and bounds with our technology, but as a community, as a society we have become much less. Our medicine is supposedly better but our food is poising us. Our food is prepackaged and "quick cook" for ease and convenience but it is filled with additives that is slowly killing us. The kitchen and the dinner table used to be a place to catch up on things,"check the health of the family". You knew your neighbors and your neighbors knew you. There was someone at home who was the anchor. It doesn't have to be a woman like it was back then. I believe that anybody who can do the same job as me should certainly not be treated any different than me because of race or gender but lets face it America as a society, even with all its inequalities was a better place. Turns out that "Mom" at home was part of the glue that held us together as a society and that my friends is a pretty important job although its true the pay is dismal.
Look at what we have now; Now we have 200,000,000 kids, that's 200 million on some sort of mood altering drugs like "Ritalin". If there are both parents in the same house hold, both of them work. No one knows what anybody is doing unless the see it on "Twitter" or "Face Book". There is much to-do about guns but there are more gun laws now than in the 50's and just as many guns. Our problems go much deeper then guns! I would like to know how many of these kids who are doing these killings around the country are from one parent homes and how many are on some sort of pharmaceutical drug????
We have lost so much as a society in the last 50 years but it goes much deeper then that!
We have become arrogant in our use of the earths resources and in our technological arrogance we think we can control nature and even life itself. As a species we are steamrolling out of the natural order of things, out of our place in the natural world and it will be our destruction as a society and a species and we have done it to our selves.

#Chem Trails in The Mountains of #Colorado

I started seeing videos and articles about chem trails back in the late winter/early spring and while I question all conspiracy theories, this one seems to have some validation. I've noticed these strange trails that are left behind by planes that last for a long time, certainly longer than any vapor trail. From what I read there are people that are trying to alter the earths environment by spraying a chemical in the air that produces more cloud cover to slow the warming of the earth. I've studied weather for a long time and I'm a firm believer in the saying "red sky in morning sailors warning" and while the weather does change very quickly here in the mountains of Colorado, I've woken to blue sky, cool, low humidity mornings only for it to turn ugly in the late afternoon after seeing these trails in the early afternoon.

One of the strangest things is that I've seen these X's everywhere from the mountains where I live to #Boulder and even #Jazz Fest in #New Orleans.

I mean really what makes the Kardashians news worthy? What have they ever produced? I admit to being a bit out of the loop but are they musicians? Artist? Sports something or other? I mean really what have they done to make them any more news worthy than my cat. Are they like my cat in the fact that they are famous in their own minds? Is it possible that somehow the media has latched on to that fake feeling and been having a feeding frenzy on just the speculation of the Kardashions largeness in their own minds? Is it all just smoke and mirrors, the dumbing down of Americants? For surly, how the Kardashions rule their life is one of the dumbest things I've ever glimpsed. Why are they in my new feeds???? They should be laughed out of town along with that pompous bloated ego rap star that has hooked up with them.

I'm going to tell you right now; I like the Denver Airport. It's clean, efficient, easy to get around in and yes there are some very interesting works of art and other things around the airport.
I've seen a couple of conspiracy theory videos on the airport and even saw where one poll claimed it to be the number one conspiracy theory going. I'm pretty opened minded on these things and will consider every angle of an argument. I also know how people grasp on to notoriety and the unusual and how that can get an angle and make on it
On my latest flight out of Denver I noticed just before going into security a piece of art depicting a miner panning for gold. I hate that I had my camera packed. It shows the miner squatting and water with nuggets of gold falling out of them. The top two nuggets are gold but the bottom two nuggets are the typical tear faced alien face with eyes.
Now with all the conspiracy theories, why would someone do that? If you were the NWO wouldn't you want to divert attention away? If you wanted to attract people and have them spend money in your city or airport wouldn't you want to have a "draw" something to make people come to your place? Or, is it lets make it so obvious no one will believe it? I don't know but with the whole glowing red eye horse and now this, it seems someone has an interest in feeding the conspiracy theories.

#Chem Trails and Crazy Clouds Mountains of #Colorado

I've always watched the skies.

lately I've been seeing these #Chem Trails and crazy cloud formations. The one cloud was a large normal cumulus, I watched while as many as five or more planes flew through it I watched as it turned into an angry storm cloud then it turned into that cloud with the big looking bubbles. These pictures were all taken about the same time of day during April 2014 a few miles south west of #Rocky Mountain National Park. Its funny you don't see these planes in the early morning or evening, mostly in the early afternoon. Many times, in a couple of hours the skies will turn gray and cloudy but it rarely rains. Most of these pictures were taken on Easter.

As a chef and some one who really pays attention to labels and the way products at the grocery store. As some one who is interested in good nutrition and its link to good health. As some one who is generally interested in the systems of the body and their connections to each other, I've made some observations and have some serious common sense notions that seems to escape our established medical and insurance persons.
At one point I had #medical insurance. It did not cover #Chiropractic care. Now, I'm not so sure that a #Chiropractor can cure the common cold or any thing like that but I do believe that the spine is the major network that carries info from and to the different systems in the body and it only makes sense that if everything is aliened that it will work better, that your immune system would be better and your health would be better. Saving everybody money!
I've seen studies where #obesity and #type 2 diabetes is at epidemic levels. I would say that most of these people are in the lower income bracket. I think it is a travesty that things that are proven killers, things like #High Fructose Corn Syrup and other chemicals are used to make cheap high calorie nutrionless food that doesn't rot and has been shown to cause health failure in rats.
I've really gotten on board with buying #organics, both vegetables and meats. I feel much better and I'm losing a couple of pounds. But you know what?~ A family of four on an average salary with a mortgage and other bills couldn't afford it! I can barely afford it just for myself. The meat is twice as high. One bag of organic meats and vegetables, enough for two or three days will easily run you over thirty dollars. Its worth it! I'm not saying it isn't, just like seeing the doctor or dentist on a regular basis is worth it but when it comes to economics maybe the money just isn't there. It would seem that the people who do the hard labor in this country, the people who make up the back bone of this country can not afford the very things that will keep them healthy and prosperous.
It seems very twisted that the rich are the only ones who can really afford to eat organic and healthy while everybody else is fed junk. Whats next "Solvent Green"????

Very Sad News

On this #Earth Day there is very sad news that has just come out concerning the earth.
The mercury, found in habitats located in some of the most remote areas in the region, exceeds U.S. Environmental Protection Agency health thresholds for potential impacts to fish, birds and humans in some cases. The information came after scientists with the U.S. Geological Service and National Park Service analyzed both popular sport fish and smaller prey fish in 21 national parks across 10 western states. According to their recently published report, mercury concentrations were generally low, but they still found some individual fish with mercury levels exceeding the EPA’s human health criterion in Colorado, California, Washington and Wyoming....
It is to be noted that there was no mercury in the earths system until man put it there.
I'm afraid that in our greed, thoughtlessness and arrogance we've done harm to the planet that can not be undone. I'm afraid we have doomed our future generations to an earth that is not as livable as when I was a kid and you could drink safely from a mountain stream, the streams, rivers and oceans teemed with fish. Now what is left is less and less safe to eat.

In the past few weeks I've gotten hooked on u tube videos. Some of the videos I've come across are on conspiracy theories. One of them being #Chemtrails; the spraying of chemicals on the population for various reasons. I want to say right here; I KNOW ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT IT!!!! Saying that, I've got some pictures here that looks much like the U Tube videos. All were taken in the past couple of weeks. I'm not sure they are chemtrails they just look like the videos I've seen! The funny thing; notice its a blue sky day? Later in the day it always storms or looks like its going to storm.

Back in the early 70's there were a lot of rock and roll movies or "Rockumentaries". The most classic of these is #"Easy Rider". It was the definitive "Hippie" movie!
Where I lived they would have midnight showings of these movies on Friday, I think it was. Maybe Saturday. Anyway; the drinking age was 18, it was a great time of experimentation and the memories of these movies is foggy at best. There have been times when "Easy Rider" was playing in the back ground and I've seen it a number of times. Just the other night I actually sat and watched it from end to end with no interruptions and it IS a statement on a generation but there are a lot of parts that could be just as easily been written today. I didn't start this blog as a conspiracy theory blog. I do like to entertain conspiracy theories and a lot of them make a lot of sense to a point, then some of the wilder ones seem to go off on tangents and lose me.
I have been seeing a lot on the One New Order Conspiracy lately and it seems more and more plausible. It seems big corporations have a free rein in this country. Now it seems that the Supreme Court has made it easier for the top richest of the population to influence elections. The Supreme Court ruled that you could only give so much to any one candidate but that you could give to as many candidates as you want. I think the most you can give a candidate is somewhere a little over $5000. While I may can give that much to some one representing me in my state, how many times can a billionaire do that across the country, both large and small to push his agenda?

Isn't this a great age we live in! Right at our finger tips we have as much information in any language as any library. We can talk to face to face with people around the world and thanks to social media and video phones we are reconnecting with friends we haven't seen in 30 years and in a disaster or any kind of life event it is posted immediately even before emergency people reach the scene. On Television there is around the clock news and commentary on every issue that man can come up with.
I admit to being less and less connected. Over the past few years. I've watched very, very little TV. I've only had reasonably fast and reliable internet for the last year. Even as disconnected as I am I've noticed that we are becoming very polarized and extremely one sided in our views. Its either us or them. The flames are fanned by our corporate news agencies that push one agenda or another then hide stories that reveal truth about other things going on. On the social medias; views and statistics are poured on by pages and groups that are conspicuous in their origins like a spring rain storm.
Wait a minute, now I find a lot of this information is tilted, some of it is down right wrong. Even on things I believe in and from it would seem groups I could trust!
Hmmmmm, that seems crazy. Where are our leaders with vision? Where is the passion for right? We used to have that in AmeriCan..... it seems to be lost in the wasteland of AmeriCant't. Everyone blaming everyone else for the problems of today. No one taking responsibility for ANYTHING not even raising their own families. Even our government is in a stale mate. NO REAL leaders up in Washington, for sure!
Hey if you were the devil or a group wanting to take over the world? What would be the best non- violent way to bring down the strongest and free-est country in the world? I think feed the people false information to scare and divide them would be a GREAT way. Also, now all telephones have gps devices that can be tracked and all that info we are sharing with our friends, anyone can see and come up with a character sketch, find out where we frequent, our jobs and place of work. If any one wants to find you its a very easy matter if you are on a social media. You can no longer move across the country and start fresh. there is just too much info about yourself out there and your very easy to watch and keep track of.
Yet the amount of reliable information we are receiving, I'm afraid is less and less. Its something to think about. I suggest disconnecting for a while and taking a walk in the woods to recenter yourself.

This question has been on my mind for some time now. It seems that this country is mired in negativity and decay. Our Government is constantly in a stalemate because of political agendas Every one is looking to blame some one or something else for the bad things when in reality it is our selves. . WE DECIDE in so many ways if our society improves or goes into further decline. How you ask? Through our actions. An AmeriCan supports through their buying power which companies survive and which don't. Don't like Coke or Walmart or GMO products? An AmeriCan does not buy from these companies. If just half of the people who bought into these products would stop, you would see changes like you've never seen before. An AmeriCan understands that this country is one big melting pot, we are the mutts of the world. An AmeriCan tries to work with their neighbors. An AmeriCan't sees their selves as some one who is entitled to this country and points their fingers at others for the misfortunes of this country.An AmerCan seeks a better, positive life with out judgement towards their neighbors and realizes we all have our struggles and until we walk in our neighbors shoes we are unable to judge. An AmeriCan is informed and speaks out when Government gets intrusive and overbearing. An AmeriCan't looks for Government to look out for every ones needs with as little involvement from them selves as possible. Blaming President Obama

Don't get me wrong I'm no great supporter of President Barack Obama, I'm a Libertarian. I do however think it is funny how everybody blames President Obama for the present state of the country. Now he may not be helping things but to blame a man, any man for something that has taken years to come about is just foolish. If you look at the record, since 1969 there have been five "Republican" presidents and only three "Democrat" presidents. Not only that the "Republican" presidents have run the country ten years longer than the "Democrats". This is why I vote "Libertarian", both of our "major" parties are just as guilty as the other one at the shape the country has fallen into.

Get involved and engage in what ever you believe in! I believe that in small ways many people can make a positive difference.
Lately, I've bitten the bullet and bought "organic" produce. Just like with solar and wind power, the more people who commit is the only way the price will moderate and become equal to the norm.
Last night while shopping, I discovered a "Paul Newman" thin crust pizza. It has better ingredients and a lot more protein and less sugar then my regular "Stouffers" french bread pizza, which has a pretty good sugar, protein, fiber combination. Plus all the profits go to charity. Going by all their literature, you can't go wrong buying any of the "Paul Newman" brand products. I also bought "7th Generation" paper products. Their mantra of what we do, how will it effect the next 7 generations is something we should all consider.
I was going to buy these items any way. I had choices, some of them a lot cheaper, but I feel like it is worth the money to search out and buy products like these. Better for you, your community and for the world.
Use your own money to make a difference, write a letter about something you believe in and send it to the proper source, if you see a wrong speak out against it, to change things its going to take the common man to take back the country from the power elite and to make this a better world.

President Jimmy Carters Legacy

For a long while, I was involved as a volunteer in the democrat party. That is until I saw the injustice done to Jimmy Carter. Jimmy Cater took over the presidency after Nixon and Ford almost ruined this country, at the height of an energy crises.
It disgust me when I read where people call him inept or a bad president. I'm here to say that he will go down in history as one of our best presidents. He told people the truth and people don't want to hear the truth. They don''t want to hear that they should wear sweaters inside when its 20 degrees outside. No! They would rather here how to "lift there selves up by their boot straps" go out and get in debt for the rest of your lives so you can afford that "American Dream", go into debt to be prosperous!!!!
I'm here to tell you and I don't think there is any body that can tell me any different. If we had continued with Carters energy policy we wouldn't be in the shape we are right now. We probably wouldn't be in Iraq or Afghanistan. Carter brought peace to the Middle East, look at it now! Carter had started the decriminalization of marijuana. Reagans war on drugs saw the rise of cocaine and the rise of drug cartels and the Mexican Mafia while people's lives were ruined and went to jail because of mandatory sentencing laws. Today the legalization and the ending of pot prohibition is sweeping the country. Just think of the money that could have been made in taxes the last 30 years, the jobs created, the money saved on enforcement and incarceration. The Iranian crises he couldn't help and he couldn't help the inept military rescue effort. In the end it was all politically engineered to make him look bad. But I'm telling you he will go down as one of the most visionary presidents in the 20th century, everything we are doing today from alternative energy sources to legalization of marijuana he started 30 years ago and then the nay sayers, main stream democrats and republicans with all their corporate sponsors took over and you see where that got us.

The Problem With A National Health Care Policy

Starting off we need to look at a couple of facts about our society.
#1 The dollar is king
#2 Anything the government does is filled with bureaucracy and thus much more expensive, mostly through forced taxation.
I think we need to look at why we need a "National Health Care Policy"? Why is health care so expensive in this country? Lets face it; insurance companies are not benevolent institutions looking out for our best interest, neither are lawyers. They are both driven, just like everything else in this society, by money. I think if we took lawyers and insurance companies out of it, health care would not cost what it does today. What kind of society sues someone because they make a mistake for trying to help someone, in some times a life and death matter? What kind of society do we live in?
Then you look at Washington~ it is filled with lawyers and advocates for the insurance companies. People I'm telling you we don't stand a chance! There will be people getting mega rich off this, probably big corporate insurance companies and doctors will hand out more and more of big pharmaceuticals pills with all the bad side effects while it cost us more and more in the form of taxes and poor health because the real issues of the illness of the society and how to fix them are not being addressed because of corporate greed.

I must admit that I rarely watch television. Also I used to be fully involved with the politics of this country, even volunteering and working on campaigns, but became disenchanted many years ago.
Just by chance, I caught The Mclaughlin Group last Sunday, 1/ 5 / 14.
The discussion was on the recent legalization of marijuana in Colorado, Washington State and decriminalization in other parts of the country. I was glad to hear on all the news programs I watched that morning, that the general agreement is that the prohibition on marijuana is over. The government just needs to get on board.
Of course I guess they have to have one idiot. Pat Buchanan does not disappoint. He stated at one point and I'm copying and pasting here: "But this is the sentiment in the country, I think, sort of the decline of community and the rise of the idea of the autonomous and privileged self. And this is a trend, and it's going to continue."
Really???? "The privileged self"?????
Has he ever read the preamble to the constitution?????
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Ever read this Mr. Buchanan???? Our constitution is filled with things about individual rights and freedoms. Maybe you should read it sometime or maybe you should go live in The Peoples Republic Of China where the focus is on the collective.

It’s the day before Christmas Eve 2013.

There is a sadness in Amerika, I hear it in the voices and see it in the faces of the people, everywhere I go. Christmas has become a burden inits commercialization. Everyone is so bombarded by store ads and the latest gadgets, that the expectations have been raised so high, simply giving someone a hug, telling them you love them and that you will be there in times of need, maybe some small handmade gift from the heart is not enough. Santa no longer gives little girls and boys’ dolls and Lincoln logs but the newest and biggest car and truck. People are stressed to buy, buy, buy, borrow from tomorrow to fill those expectations built buy corporate pitch men. The spirit and the smile and love of giving is not there. Its Zombie land in the faces of the shoppers of the mega malls and Walmarts of Amerika.

It makes me very sad for all of us, as individuals, as a society and as a country. Very sad indeed!
