We reattached the sole on this boot.

First time I saw a purple zipper in a black boot. I thought it was interesting.

Old Friend Slippers Before and After

After removing the soles on these "Old Friend" house slippers, I decided these would be a good before and after. The old soles were brittle and crumbling and I was able to resole them with some flexible cowhide leather that had been deer tanned.

Now this customer has their favorite house slippers and can continue to enjoy them for a good while longer.

Christian Louboutins are well known for their distinctive red soles. However, brand new, they are very slippery and it doesn't take long before the red is worn away. This pair of Ostrich Skin Boots was half-soled and heeled. Ostrich skin is easy to identify by the prominent bumps where the feathers were attached. I really enjoy working on nice boots like these.

I haven't replaced a pair of Thomas Heels for a very long time. You may ask, what is a Thomas Heel? It is a heel that extends further down the inside arch area of the shoe. It is often used with people who have flat feet, to give them a little extra support. Alden still makes shoes that use the Thomas Heel.
