Two big events that were supposed to happen in Europe have been cancelled or postponed due to bad weather conditions. It hasn’t been the most enjoyable winter in Romania and Serbia and events such as Ministry of Sound World Tour and A State of Trance 550 Belgrade had a lot to suffer from.

First of all there’s the Ministry of Sound World Tour at Bucharest which was scheduled for February 18th. Featuring Global Deejays, Paul Deighton, Adrian Eftimie and Syos, MoS Bucharest was postponed due to venue problems. The same can be said about A State of Trance 550 Belgrade, which had the same problems. The popular radio show had a strong line-up: Andy Moor, Armin van Buuren, Dash Berlin, Judge Jules, Markus Schulz, Setrise, Simon Patterson and a massive crowd to entertain.

However the Ministry of Sound World Tour Event in Bucharest will be held in the near future in Bucharest, as for the ASOT 550 parties, they will continue in London, Kiev, Moscow, Los Angeles, Miami and Den Bosch.

Fortunately, I’ve lived one of those moments in which I experienced the moment of a new star being born. This happened last week, when I met Radion6. I’d seen him perform last year, at Sander Van Doorn’s tour : “Eleve11” in Bucharest, but I just got a glimpse of what he was really like. Xteria were kind enough to invite us for a meet & greet at a club in Bucharest and I was given the opportunity to connect with a DJ so passionate and so serious about his work like few are.

Radion6, Ruud Kretzers by his real name, is a Dutch DJ and producer, whose passion for music has always been there, starting to cultivate it in the beginning of his adolescence. He started to play in a club in his home neighbourhood and then went on to meet a lot of famous DJs, like Sander van Doorn, Sasha, and many more. Since the release of his first single in 2009 he has been focusing on creating better and better musical experiences for his audience. He even worked on a track for 6 months – if that’s not dedication, I don’t know what is.

His family has always supported him to pursue what makes him happy, which is music, a fact that I find endearing. Since music is such a personal affair, in so many ways, this strong connection with family values and a powerful fondness for fantastic sounds is what makes Radion6 such an exciting phenomenon to watch for.

A DJ’s life is not as glamorous as you’d think in the beginning, especially since it is not that easy to emerge from the hundreds of young DJs who are searching for stardom these days. But Radion6 has that glow in his eyes, that flame that will make him great and we all felt it. His candour, openness and enthusiasm for great music are the stuff that dreams are made of. And he will make it big, because he has the drive and talent to do it. He has already produced tracks such as “Radiator” and “Another Heater” (together with Sied van Riel), the “Sunrise” Remix for 4Strings and the remix of Ørjan Nilsen’s track “Anywhere But Here”.

It takes a lot of hard work and passion to achieve something great, but having talked to Radion6 showed me that these are the DJs and performers who make a difference. “It doesn’t matter to me how big or small the venue that I play is. All that matters is performing the best way I can.”

We’re talking about Avicii, of course, the young DJ that is taking the world by storm. He’s 2 years younger than me and he has already ranked 6th on the Top 100 DJs in 2011.

His hit, “Levels”, has been featured in the SuperBowl commercial for Bud Light Platinum and there he is, Tim Berg at the party, kicking the volume up. We’re really glad for Tim and we believe that this is great breakthrough for him. Avicii will conquer the world in the next few years!

Great dance music is on its way and it’ll arrive February 18th at Bucharest. The Ministry of Sound World Tour party will rock the Roman Arenas starting 10PM and it will keep dance fans busy till the morning light.

Global Deejays are the main headliners and it looks like they’ll deliver a stunning set. Romanians will hear classics such as “The Sound of San Francisco”, “What a Feeling” and the more recent “Bring it Back” and “Hardcore Vibes”.

Paul Deighton is one Ministry of Sound resident DJ who likes to travel a lot! He will add Bucharest to his large collection of cities he impressed with his incredible sets. Adrian Eftimie will be the third DJ to spin the records, and according to a recent interview he’ll give the audience tracks produced and remixed by himself. This should be very interesting since Adrian was invited to London by Mininstry of Sound not long ago.

Last but not least SYOS will give the audience one hell of a show: touchscreens, robots, smoke, lasers, LEDs and above all great music.

At first it may seem impossible for “the land of all possibilities”, but Avicii is currently touring the US and gathering funds. Moreover, the Swedish DJ and producer wishes to raise at least $1 million in one single month.

It feels right to kick off this movement of giving back in the US, seeing how many amazing experiences and opportunities America has given me over the past two years, as well as the support I’ve gotten from my fans here.

The track was already great, especially with the participation of Audrey Gallagher, whose voice I simply adore, but Daniel turned it into a more vibrant, upbeat song. With a dynamic twist and by keeping its melodic line, the track was upgraded to be replayed and put back into playlist all over the place.

Steve Brian spiked it up a bit, adding a bit more flavor, no preservatives included. It came out quite well, a trancey, light, fun track to dance to and a very nice declaration if you want to impress a certain lady.

We recommend it for a warm-up and for a weekend playlist. Don’t hesitate to share it with your friends!

Sylvia’s classically trained voice made her an invaluable addition to the single, her vocal skills making “An Angel’s Love” a great song to listen to, over and over again.

You’ll find this track on Armin van Buuren’s Universal Religion Chapter 5 compilation, with its dramatic edge and sensitivity, established as a must-listen-to single of 2011.
