When writing an application essay, you should have to make quite a few revisions based on feedback that you see here from your friend or your teacher or your counselor I’m gonna at the same time if you’re working through drafts you know you don’t want to lose your voice as you’re making all of these revisions and as people are telling you what their thoughts are right so you want to make sure that you’re still keeping your voice and their and authentic and not so doesn’t sound sounds like other people who think we’re editing your essay and they wanted you to change certain words and search phrases and it just doesn’t flow with the rest of your with your work you know you probably shouldn’t have too many people everything. Find out more about writing application essay on Edusson.

And actually just have a trusted people and then I would also suggest reading your application I mean I’m sorry reading your essay Allen yes to see kind of how it sounds does it flow and does it sound natural so we talked a little bit about formality earlier I think it should whether or not well personally I think it should sound more natural that doesn’t mean informal I think that just means like something they that would be a thought that comes out of you yeah kind of a nice way yeah I’m not just like how you talk your friends but yeah natural sounding and so reading out loud and that can help you catch some grammar of the state to you America meeting and we I don’t think we’ve mentioned this but as you’re drafting and it drafted in a Word document first so that you can catch some of those misspellings before you cut and paste it into the application we always suggest that you do that as opposed to just drafting it directly in that location and saving it for later do that so that you have that you have your computer to help you catch some mistakes that you might not see otherwise.

Because we don’t have a built-in spell checker in the application so yeah you have to be doing that on your own and not looking for little red squiggly lines right and that way if you save it on your document or something you have a copy of it on your computer or somewhere where you can access it versus typing in the application because once you submit it you’re not going to be able to go back to the application and you know copy and paste that and see this okay we’re gonna move on to some of these questions here here all right so we’ve got well one of those just just a question about quest fringe in general and I think this is important for you to know how many applicants go on to be in and I think we don’t have a cap at that we take as many of you as are qualified so there’s there’s no competition.

I think if you balance writing about what you can bring to the school and what the school can bring to you in some way that I think you’ve done a good job answering that question you shouldn’t write about just what this was gonna bring to you because honestly you don’t know and the college emission office officers know that you haven’t spent time there but also you have to talk charges I don’t know I’m kind of mumbling right now but talk about what would when you can bring to the school and what the school can bring to you if you can balance that then that I think you done it is you know I really like the idea of like this town from the city and really thinking about yeah like why why do you see yourself spending the next four years there why did why were you have even interested. Read more about honesty in essays at Robotdon.com.

When you first did your research like what stood out to you I’m kind of thinking about those ideas more in-depth expanding on them okay great so um the next one we have is actually I think I think it is very very important question and that is would it be better to write about a series of events or a single moment in my life and I’m thinking about that essay you know there might be a lot of things you want to talk about if some students write their essay by kind of you know starting at the day they were born chronological order of their life maybe not the best thing you guys can talk about that more but you know like what much can you be thinking about you know how much time should you be standing in your essay I think that the essays possible is if there is a you are talking about a series of events and then you realize you are running out of room and then you like and then you jump from being h5 to suddenly you are 18 and like the story’s resolved and I’m like wait wait there’s more where where else could you have gone right.

So I think that there’s some times when essays get extremely rushed and by the end of it you could tell that they just ran out of room in space and they just like and they threw in a concluding sentence and called it a day and so I think being much more thoughtful okay so if there are a series of events that I want to talk about do they all have a theme are they all pushing me in the same direction of the the general goal that this essay has like what is it that you are trying to tell in admissions office and do all of these stories back that up and can i succinctly describe them all without feeling rushed I think that that’s important question that you should be asking yourself much more so than whether it should be one thing versus a few things it is more it can I do it without it feeling rushed putting making the best.

We are going to learn how to write an informative essay you ready let’s go so let’s start with what is an informative essay the word informative means to give information that is what our essay is going to do our essay is going to provide the reader with information about our topic the structure of an essay has five paragraphs it has an introduction it has one two three body paragraphs and then it has a conclusion paragraphs so the structure of our essay that we are going to do today is going to have five paragraphs and it’s going to include the introduction three body paragraphs and a conclusion paragraph.

So let’s write an informative essay so we have our book that we are going to use to write our essay with and an informative essay can be written from a book a magazine a video a new show it can be written from any source because all you’re doing is providing information from that source to your reader so the gender of our book is nonfiction our topic is World War one and again the purpose of our essay is to inform people about World War one so let’s not forget that we must use the writing process when writing our essay in fact the writing process is used for any type of writing for example we have a text here and we have a dissertation here let me show you how both of these actually follow the writing process so let’s start with our text here so when we get ready to send the text we think about what we’re going to send and who we’re going to send it to then we write out our draft okay.

So we start writing our text okay then we change our minds we rewrite the text we change some words we add some emoticons then hopefully we go back and make sure we spelled all our letters correct we added some punctuation after we’ve done that we reread it again to make sure everything was great and then if it was great we sent it so in the space of two minutes the time that it takes to send a text you have actually followed all five steps of the writing process easy right now let’s go over here to our dissertation okay so we are a doctorate candidate for a PhD and we have to write this very in-depth dissertation we’re also going to follow this same writing process we’re going to think about what we’re going to write we’re going to draft our first draft write it down we’re going to revise it to make it better we’re then going to edit it to make sure that it has punctuation correct spelling all of that then we’re going to have it reviewed by one of our peers or a teacher and once we’re satisfied that we have it spic and span and nice and good then we’re going to publish it.

When you use a counter-argument it does two things:

– one it shows that you’re intelligent enough to understand that there’s another side to the issue and

– two it gives you an opportunity to care that counter-argument apart with logic and make your point seem even more legitimate

Fun fact the best place to put a counter-argument is usually in that third body paragraph.

Finally getting to your creative essay writers now creative essay writers you still have to use a lot of these elements I’ve already listed, but you have a lot more freedom over where to use them so luckily or unluckily. No training wheels for you yeah you’re just gonna have to roll with it so one thing that does stay consistent between creative essays and academic essays is that there’s still an idea that needs to be developed throughout the course of the essay and needs to be resolved at the end somehow. What I’m going to do for you guys is I’m going to include down in the description below a link to one of my successful Harvard application essays and also an outline describing how I use each paragraph to advance an idea so won’t give you a formula but it’ll give you a sense of what needs to be done and I’m telling you I’ve seen dead people as the sixth sense and seeing out write a good essay. Is the seven after you do it enough times you’ll start to sense how it’s done even if you can’t fully articulate, it which leads me perfectly into my next point practice makes perfect. I cannot stress this enough practice makes perfect when you’re trying to go from training wheels to whoa look ma no hands practice is the only thing standing between the two.

I would encourage you to get as much writing under your belt as you can join the school newspaper. Write creative content for the internet etc. Because by doing something a million and both times you’ll finally learn the nuances of it and no amount of money no amount of talent no amount of watching YouTube videos will ever teach you as much as practice.

At this point I know you guys might be like we want cold hard techniques you want a tip that always works, make sure your grammar and vocab is a hundred percent correct, you make one spelling or grammar mistake and it will undermine your entire essay. Take the 30 seconds to invest in a Google search and learn the vocab and sentence structures that you don’t understand fully. Trust me: that, they’re there and there’s – the world will thank you as will your essay reader.

Alright maybe all my advice was fine and dandy you know for like 90% of situations but sometimes you’re just looking at a blank Word document and you’re too petrified to even start and I get it essays are like the basilisks of real life you can’t look an eye or they’ll kill you. Sometimes you got to use a different approach, now a lot of people would advise to you to just word vomit all over your blank page. I think that’s one gross and too disgusting instead what I would advise you to do is write an outline. An outline is great because it gives you a place to just write all your main ideas in a crude and ugly fashion. After you’ve come up with your main ideas, the only thing left is figuring out how to creatively link them. I mean creativity and main ideas are like talking on a cell phone and trying to cut a steak. Sure they can be done at the same time, but when you separate on both activities become much easier. Last but holy cow not least: read the requirements for the essay and follow them. Otherwise, you could end up rain the completely perfect essay on a completely wrong topic.

The main thing: watch it is a formulaic structure for how to write my essay now, this is like the training wheels of essay writing meaning when you learn how to write like a big boy you can discard it until then it’s incredibly useful.

The perfect decision for the write my essay formula is four to five paragraphs composed of one intro paragraph two to three body paragraphs and then one conclusion paragraph also known as the kink, this paragraph this little piggy went home to write my essay. Now bear with me because this gets a little bit detail your intro. Paragraph should be used to introduce some kind of question you want your essay to answer and then your body paragraphs should be used to develop some line of reasoning. To discover the answer to that question and then your concluding paragraph should be used to summarize everything you’ve already said answer the question and then either one opens up a new question to the world or to tie a nice pretty little bow on the end of your essay that ties everything together.

Now if you’re in America you might be freaking out because I haven’t mentioned the word thesis once don’t fret thesis is just a fancy way to say this is the answer to my question. If you need to present a thesis in your essay this is the structure you’ll use the intro to present the thesis, use the body paragraphs to develop an argument for that thesis and use the concluding paragraph to restate that thesis in different words easy peasy lemon squeezy, but just in case this wasn’t all easy peasy lemon squeezy, I will include a link down in the description that goes into more detail about how to write the perfect academic essay and I’ll give you some more advice.

There are a few things you need to remember for perfect write my essay formula – one each paragraph should have its own unique point, it’s own unique special snowflake additionally every sentence should have a purpose, if it doesn’t – delete it. When presenting body paragraphs, you always start with your strongest argument and end with your weakest. One and lastly every transition should be fluid, the last sentence of the paragraph should always have a hook to the first sentence of the following paragraph and vice versa. Now I’m just gonna throw a little bit of miscellaneous advice toward you guys and this one is what I call use your weaknesses to show your stripes. Use your weaknesses to show your strengths means that you should consider adding a counter-argument to your essay.

Today I’m going to share with you all the literary tools I’ve picked up over my years of writing essays. You might want to grab a pencil and some popcorn because this is gonna be long.

Alright, I want to begin by talking about the title and the first sentence of your essay before anything else you need to make sure your first sentence and your title are not generic, they need to be eye-catching and make the audience want to read more, because if you can make these parts good then you’ll already have the reader on your side rooting for you. Before they’ve read a single other word of the essay just think if the title is the clickbait of your essay then your first sentence is like your essay reaching out at and of the reader and saying: hi I’m what you’re going to be dealing with for the next couple paragraphs so don’t have a sissy handshake, don’t have a sissy.

After you’ve established that your essay is in fact totally cool and worth reading then you have to worry about the other words in it, so my nice tip is expanding your vernacular: grow your geek speech, learn some new words and, use them creatively, so one really easy way to stop sounding generic is to avoid starting your sentences with common words like I or however or although. Try something different instead like, for example: inches from the ground tommy’s nose was about to communicate to his body that this was the day they’d get their lunch money stolen right. Itches isn’t even a complicated word but by starting the sentence with something different it gives that phrase and artistic flair uh but here’s the catch in your quest to sound artistic you don’t want to overuse these $100 words you know you don’t want to use big words that you don’t know how to use cuz when you do that you end up sounding like someone who uses big words? Just to try and sound smart and that’s trend pairing, you need to learn how to use everything in moderation.

The next thing: watch it is a formulaic structure for how to write your essay now, this is like the training wheels of essay writing meaning when you learn how to write like a big boy you can discard it until then it’s incredibly useful.

6. Don’t Do Negative Programming

“You are so lazy, you don’t do your homework.”

“You are dull, you don’t remember anything.”

“Study, or I will shut you up in your room.”

If you think this kind of remark will make your children reach eagerly for their books, then forget it. More probably, they will be hurt and angry. Even if they do reach for their books, they will not be reading it happily. What’s more damaging is that, if children are frequently scolded, threatened, or worse, beaten to do their studies, then they begin to associate studies with hurt, fear, anger, and pain. That’s why many children find excuses to avoid studying when they grow up.

7. Help Your Children to Use Better Study

Success in studies depends very much on mental attitude and use of smart study methods and try to answer all children’s questions. Our experience shows that even a failure or average student can improve his or her performance by using better study techniques eg methods To Learn Fast and Score High

8. Encourage Your Children To Be Curious

Answer your children’s questions. If you don’t know the answer, tell them, “Let’s search for it together.” And search for it in books at home. Or bring books from library. Or look it up on internet. Such actions will make your children realize the value of knowledge, expose them
to methods of searching for information. And also make them happy that you care enough to answer their questions.

9. Connect Learning With Day-to-Day Life

I had once gone to picnic with a group. In our group there was one couple with two young boys. As we were traveling on the road, the father pointed out, “Look, that is the area where mining is done. You have a chapter on it in your science textbook, isn’t it?”His two boys looked out of the window excitedly and began rattling off, “Yes, we have studied it. The name of this mining area is…” By pointing out the mines, the father had brought the topic out from the textbook into real life, thus making it more interesting for his children. Indirectly he made his children realize that what they study in books have value in real life. Whenever possible, link what your children study with everyday life. Show it to them. Find ways to use the information in daily life. If they learn about plants, ask them to study the plants in the garden. If they learn about animals, take them to zoo. Pay visit to museums and science exhibitions. Now this may not be always possible. But do this whenever you can. Try to make learning interesting.

10. Give Them The Edge

Thousands of students pass out of college every year. How can your children stand out from this mass of degree holders? How can they survive and succeed in this age of cut-throat competition?
Give them additional, practically useful training. Like, Training for…
a) using their mind power more efficiently

b) using better study techniques

c) learning skills essential for career development

d) sharpening creativity

e) managing stress

f) developing good personality, etc.

Such training helps to build positive mental attitude, winning qualities, success skills, and inner confidence. This in turn translates to—success, peace, satisfaction and good life.

Here are 10 ways to help your children excel in studies:

1. Give Them A Good Start

Young children are learning machines. They learn faster than adults. You can give your children, especially if they are below five years of age, a good start in education by using these simple techniques…

a) Read aloud stories from books. This helps to develop reading and imagination skill in children.

b) Talk a lot with your children. This helps to develop language skill.

c) Put on music for young children. Teach them to sing simple songs. Research is showing that music is not only good for overall health, but it is good for brainpower too!

d) Explore things with them, like—toys, various objects at home, plants, flowers, etc. See, touch, turn around the objects in your hands along with your children. Ask questions and discuss the objects playfully. This helps your children to learn more about their surrounding world.

e) Answer your children’s questions. If you don’t know the answer, then try to find it out together.

2. Have a good library in your home

a) Atmosphere of reading, learning and parents’ habits strongly influence children’s behaviour. When parents take interest in reading, their children also develop interest in reading.

b) So build a library of good books in your home. Display books prominently in the area where children see most.

3. Link School with Fun

a) Many children don’t like to go to school. Hence, you can use some simple tricks to arouse their interest in school.

b) Don’t just ask about what was taught in school, or what homework has been given. First ask your children, “What interesting thing happened in school today?” “What fun you had in school today?” “What you and your friend did in school today?” This would make your children aware of enjoyable things in school.

c) Such questioning creates an impression in children’s mind that school is not just about teachers and studies, but it is also about friends, play and fun.

d) Also, if your children do not like to go to school, then check whether they are having any problem at school (for e.g. bullying.) Then try your best to solve it. You can also ask the teachers to help you in such cases.

4. Let them dance to their own Rhythm

Every child may not like to get up early in the morning or do homework right after returning from school. Some like to play first. Some like to study at night, some at morning. Then there are children who want complete silence during studying, while others don’t care if there is silence or not.

Let your children study at a time when they feel comfortable. Let them study in a style they like—what matters is that they should complete their study work on time and learn the study material properly.

5. Replace Scolding with Selling Benefits!

Children get easily distracted by TV and games. Parents have to repeatedly remind them to sit and study. Once a parent told us that his son did not study regularly, even when he scolded him repeatedly “Study or you will fail.”We asked him to use another trick. We told him to remind his son to study by saying, “Study well, you will live a rich life.” Soon his son scored 85% in exam, which was a big improvement over his past performance!

Scolding is not known to give good results. But we have witnessed miracle-like transformation of disinterested students into top performers, when they were made to realize that good performance in studies leads to rich life style. And poor performance leads to poor living.
