<description>Join the Edwards Aquifer Authority and Texas Parks and Wildlife for a day of hiking at Government Canyon State Natural Area. Participants will earn six hours of SBEC credit and learn more about the Edwards Aquifer system while hiking over five miles of rugged trails located atop the highly sensitive Edwards Aquifer Recharge Zone.
Who:&amp;nbsp;Any K-12 Teacher
When:&amp;nbsp;Thursday, November 8th, 2012.&amp;nbsp; 08:00 a.m. &amp;ndash; 03:30 p.m.
Where:&amp;nbsp;Government Canyon State Natural Area&amp;nbsp;(12861 Galm Rd. San Antonio, TX.)
Cost:&amp;nbsp;Free
Special Notes:

This is a six-hour primitive hike across rugged terrain: hiking experience and at least a moderate level of physical fitness is recommended.
No restrooms will be available during the hike, but will be available at the visitors center.
Bring adequate drinking water and a sack lunch.
Cameras and binoculars are encouraged.&amp;nbsp;
