<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">I&#8217;m not sure where this whole idea of “life change, give up, let go of bad habits” comes from. </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Most people only notice what they have to give up or more importantly what they are going to lose. Faced with losing something which is actually important to an individual.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Is it any wonder most resolutions don&#8217;t work?<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>How hard to people fight to keep what they have or don&#8217;t have? If gaining something was more important than losing something, do you not think people and their New Year&#8217;s Resolutions would actually be easier to achieve?</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">I was once asked, why don&#8217;t you just do it? <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Instead of talk about it. What a wonderful question.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Why don’t you just DO IT? <p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">So how do you use EFT to help you in the New Year. I’m great at setting goals and I know <a href="http://www.eftmagic.com/blog/lowofattraction/how-to-make-a-vision-board/" target="_blank">how to make a vision board</a>.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Yet, this year I’m doing something different. I’m also using EFT with my vision board watching and viewing.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Pretty much each day I watch my vision board in a video format which I&#8217;ve created.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>I’m tapping on the points as I watch the movie.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>With each picture I’m say<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>what it is that I want out loud.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>But, I’m not saying it as I want it. I’m saying it how I will say it as I will when I have what it is that I want.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Within my vision board, I have lots of pictures of myself and the occasional image of ‘thanks’ etc.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Each time I see myself or an image of thank you. I say and feel thank you for what I have (and that which is coming to me).</span></span></p>

<p>Stop! &#8211; This is not going to be an English grammar lesson, so you can just sit back, relax and start reading.</p>
<p>When you first start to learn EFT and the tapping statement. Many of us are taught a very basic reminder phrase.  The reminder phrase is the phrase that you repeat to yourself as you tap on all the points around the body after you have completed the set-up phrase whilst tapping on the karate chop point.</p>
<p>i.e. Even though I have this emotion. I deeply and completely love, forgive and accept myself. &#8211; This is your set-up phrase</p>
<p>The then often taught reminder phrase is &#8216;this emotion&#8217;.  Whilst this can and does work. I find more emotion is felt and subsequently released when you change the &#8220;this&#8221; to &#8220;my&#8221;. For myself it somehow personalizes the tapping reminder phrase. I tend to have a very different emotional reaction when I &#8216;put the emotion upon myself&#8217;.</p>
<p>There are many types of pronouns. It also seems to have powerful effects if you change the &#8220;this&#8221; to his, her, your and their too.</p>
<p>You can be tapping on your own issue, yet changing the reminder phrase to be &#8216;applicable&#8217; to somebody else. Your unconscious mind will made connections, even if you don&#8217;t consciously.</p>
<p>The following is a list of many pronouns. Don&#8217;t worry, you already know the words and use them daily.</p>
<p>&#8220;I,&#8221; &#8220;you,&#8221; &#8220;she,&#8221; &#8220;he,&#8221; &#8220;it,&#8221; &#8220;we,&#8221; &#8220;you,&#8221; &#8220;they.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;me,&#8221; &#8220;you,&#8221; &#8220;her,&#8221; &#8220;him,&#8221; &#8220;it,&#8221; &#8220;us,&#8221; &#8220;you,&#8221; and &#8220;them.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;mine,&#8221; &#8220;yours,&#8221; &#8220;hers,&#8221; &#8220;his,&#8221; &#8220;its,&#8221; &#8220;ours,&#8221; and &#8220;theirs.&#8221;</p>
<p>Can you begin to imagine how, just by changing one seemingly small word, your tapping experience could be transformed forever?</p>

<p>I recently heard that all our reasons and excuses for us not having what we want come down to really only a few underlying feelings or emotions. I&#8217;m sure like you you know this, but are you tapping on the issues?</p>
<p>The biggie &#8211; (These phrases are blowing me away). I&#8217;ve not experienced one big single Champagne moment. Yet cumulatively wow. I feel like a changed man.</p>
<p>Tap on the following phrases, often. I&#8217;m doing them roughly at least twice a day if not more. I walk to my office so I could be tapping 2, 20 minute sessions just playing with the below, daily. Also in and around the office, I&#8217;ll just be tapping on one or all the points, wherever I&#8217;m drawn.  I just go with it. Do the same.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
The basic premise is to tap on your feelings, resistance, emotions to and with :  safety, fear, worthiness and deserving. If you did nothing but tap on those for the next month.</p>
<p>Your life would change beyond all belief. I&#8217;m sure.</p>
<p>Treat each phrase as its own round to begin with. I very often just tap on the points repeating the reminder phrases.</p>

<p>To start off, all set up phrases begin <em>Even though I&#8230;.</em></p>
<p>End the whole set up phrase with: <em>I deeply and completely love forgive and accept myself.</em></p>
<p>So the struggle for many people is what to put in the middle.</p>
<p>Go with what you want or don&#8217;t want. What you feel or don&#8217;t feel. That&#8217;s it.</p>
<p>If you tap: <em>Even though I don&#8217;t have the house that I want. I deeply and completely love forgive and accept myself.</em></p>
<p>Your reminder phrase would be the house that I want or tap wherever you are drawn for you. Then do another round with MY house that I want as your reminder phrase.</p>
<p>What comes up for you? What do you feel?  Each reminder phrase and or set up phrase will trigger different emotions for you.</p>
<p>Why don&#8217;t you have your house NOW? What comes up for you? Your if, buts and maybes. Excuses or reasons. Tap on each and every one. Don&#8217;t skip, shy away from or hide away from what you are feeling and experiencing. There is no right or wrong. Go with it.</p>
<p>Also how will others feel and react when you get your house &#8211; this is huge area &#8211; What others think. Tap on everything that comes up. What are people who have the house that you want like? What do you really think of them?</p>
<p>There are many ways you can generate the middle piece, the reminder phrase. EFT can work on all and everything. Just go with it.</p>

<p>I&#8217;ve two rounds which I think will really make a difference if tap on them daily. All you need to do is tap on the points and say the phrases out loud.  The more you do the rounds the more cumulative their effect will be:</p>
<p>So what are the two phrases?<br />
<strong>Round 1 &#8211; Thank You</strong><br />
<strong>Round 2 &#8211; I&#8217;m happy today and/or I choose to be happy today.</strong></p>
<p>You could even turn this into to separate rounds, thus 3 rounds in total</p>
<p>Simple but highly, highly effective.  If you combine it with your favourite piece of music which I wrote about last time, you&#8217;ll be rocking.<br />

<p>In my experience Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) or tapping in and of itself doesn&#8217;t cause physical symptoms or injury. That doesn&#8217;t mean you will not experience physical shifts which may manifest themselves as a &#8216;physical pain&#8217;, hurt or heightened emotions.</p>
<p>Certainly in the beginning if you do lots of tapping in one sitting. By this I mean for several hours straight and repeatedly tap on the same points and on the exact same spots, you might hurt.</p>
<p>This is because your skin and body aren&#8217;t use to being tapped on the same spots continually for such a long period of time. If this is the case, I suggest you stop tapping for a while or start tapping on other meridian points.</p>
<p>Just like an athlete gets use to training and their body gets use to the stresses and strains of playing after a lay off or break. Your body will get use to you tapping on the points over and over again.</p>
<p>I know that if you have a &#8216;Champagne&#8217; moment or a one minute wonder. You&#8217;ll have such an emotional shift, your mind and brain let go and shift in an instant. It can take time for your body to readjust itself to the new &#8216;space&#8217; that has now been created within you.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;ve never experienced this kind of sudden emotional shift and integration before, the next day, it can feel like you are feeling run down as your body plays catch up. This is a good thing! It&#8217;s a great sign that something big has shifted.</p>
<p>You may feel discomfort and heightened emotions within you as you really hit the nail on the head with your tapping.</p>
<p>Again this is a really good thing and tends not to last too long as long as you don&#8217;t stop, avoid what you&#8217;re tapping on and keep tapping on your chosen subject.</p>
<p>After all it is called emotional freedom, not emotional recognise, stop and give up or not go there.</p>
<p>Remember this, every emotion, memory, feeling and experience comes up for a positive reason. Tap with it.</p>
<p>It is generally recommended that before, during and after tapping you drink plenty of water.</p>
<p>Long before tapping, I knew that if I didn&#8217;t drink enough water I&#8217;d end up having a headache. I suspect you&#8217;re no different. Tapping gets the energy moving around your body. As you start clearing your own stuff, it naturally dehydrates your body and system.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll assume you&#8217;re not bashing on the tapping points so much that it is hurting you from the off. Then of course you would get a headache and lots of bruises too.</p>

However, if you are struggling with this dilemma on an everyday basis, consider the following strategies for lessening your own procrastination.</p>
<p>Find Your Real Motivation: Finding the energy and motivation to get projects done can be hard to find. As true inspiration lies within, it is important to find out the source of your procrastination. It is quite possible that you are biting off more than you can chew. A woman complained that she had difficulty finding the motivation to get her house cleaned. She claimed that it was completely disorganized and she didn&#8217;t understand why. Her office at work was exceptionally neat and every other aspect of her life was pretty good.</p>
<p>Review Your Schedule: Upon reviewing her schedule, I realized that the woman had been working 60-70 hours a week, had two small children and was in school full-time. Her husband was in the military so he was away quite a bit leaving her with all of the household duties. No wonder she couldn&#8217;t find the time to clean up when she got home! Make sure that there is enough time in your day to do everything that is expected of you, if not, you will never get caught up. It is important to ask for help when needed and find a few minutes here and there to get little things out of the way that you may not feel like doing later.</p>
<p>Make A To Do List: Another great strategy for procrastination is to simply make a list of all the mundane tasks that need to be done during the day. This list should contain tasks that do not have a deadline. Take one of these tasks on each morning right when you wake up. Cross it off the list and move on to the next one tomorrow morning. Soon you will find that the list will be complete in a matter of days. After that list is complete, create a new one.</p>
<p>Developing a daily schedule is one of the best strategies for procrastination. Write down and prioritize the things that have deadlines and give yourself adequate time to do them. Allotting the proper amount of time is imperative to setting realistic goals.</p>
<p>Adhering to these simple strategies for procrastination can help you in your everyday life. You will begin to see that small changes will have large results in the long run.</p>

<p>For many people, procrastination results in many task that are not complete until the last minute, if finished at all. When facing a difficult task, procrastinators tend to feel nervous or begin having anxiety about doing the job. This anxiety increases as the deadline approaches and the job is not complete because of procrastination. If you have multiple tasks that need to be done, then managing time and getting motivated is essential when trying to beat this common dilemma.</p>
<p>It is extremely unhealthy to continue to put your mind and body through these type of stresses. The effects of procrastination are not just limited to physical conditions but they can effect your mental capabilities and relationships as well.</p>
<p>Physically, anxiety can bog down our immune systems leaving us vulnerable to infections and disease. Continuing to compromise our body&#8217;s health can be devastating and lead to more serious issues such as heart disease. When we continue to put off work, it puts more strain on our physical well-being and creates more work for us. Although most people realize what is happening, they still continue to put off the tasks. The effects of procrastination become a vicious cycle as more work comes in and that &#8216;to-do&#8217; list becomes longer and longer.</p>
<p>Knowing when you get up the next day, you will have a heavier workload due to your procrastination can also have an impact on our sleep patterns as well. Many times it is difficult to sleep when you cannot stop thinking about the increasing workload. This, in turn leads to insomnia and fatigue. Procrastinators tend to put off even doctor appointments that can lead to more serious problems. Other physical effects of procrastination are headaches, aches and pains, muscle soreness and chronic fatigue.</p>
<p>Mentally, the effects of procrastination can be devastating. As some stress in our life is good, not knowing how to alleviate it can leave us feeling overwhelmed and defeated. Not only does this type of stress lead to depression and anxiety, it is bad for our own personal morale. Finishing a job in a timely manner can boost our self-confidence and result in allowing us to move on to other jobs with a renewed sense of pride.</p>
<p>The effects of procrastination does not stop at the physical and mental aspects of our well-being. As procrastinating can effect our mood, being irritable and unpleasant to be around, can cause conflict in marriages and friendships.7</p>
