PAN Manager Poised for Breakout in 2012

Established initially as a hardware vendor in 2000, Egenera made the transition to a software vendor to bring customers open converged infrastructure by delivering its PAN Manager software on open blade server hardware platforms. With its most recent release of PAN Manager 7.1 in November, Egenera doubled the number of blades that can be managed by the software, increasing scalability and the rapid restoration of services. The partnership increases Egenera’s network of HP value-added resellers (VAR) and provides broader channel penetration into the Tri-State area and eastern Pennsylvania, areas dominated by the data intensive financial services, insurance and pharmaceutical industries.
